Yes! Listing a boat is completely free. We only take a commission when your boat is rented. We only make money when you do!

What if I'm not comfortable having a renter drive my boat?

If you are not comfortable having a renter drive your boat, we have an expansive network of licensed and experienced captains. Once your boat is listed, you can filter through our network of captains and favorite captains in your area that you would like to operate your boat.

If you would like to go for a day sail with family or friends, or may even enter a regatta, but you do not own a boat? Then the Charter Fleet is for you. The Club owns a fleet of watercraft available for charter by members and their guests. We have a type and size of boat for every interest and experience level, so there is one just right for you! Houston Sailing is the best place to rent a sailboat in the Houston area for day and evening cruises.

Capt. Terry or one of our fun and experienced captains will be happy to take you out sailing on Galveston Bay. These charters are available 7 days a week. Let us know if you have a special event like birthday, anniversary, or even “popping the question”. We will make your special day unforgettable. Check our events page for planned outings including sunset sails and firework cruises. You may bring your own food and drink. Alcoholic beverages are welcome but PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY. Safety comes first, but FUN comes in a close second.

Captain and crew are included in the charter price. Gratuities are always appreciated .

Catering is available at an additional cost. Alcoholic beverages will not be included but may be brought by our guests.

If you are brand new to sailing and would like to find out if you might like it, we offer a 3-hour Introduction to Sailing for up to 4 people.

Opus is the perfect boat for beginners and old salts alike. She is small enough to handle easily but big enough for the Gulf of Mexico and beyond. Opus comfortably handles up to 6 guests but is also great for a romantic cruise for 2. 

The Flying Pig Leopard 4700 $1,200 half-day (4-hour) cruise | $300/hr. after that

Captain Terry and his friend Shaun Williamson brought “The Pig” to Houston from Tortola, BVI, in 2017. Yes, there is a story behind the name and Shaun will be happy to share it with you. The Flying Pig is roomy enough for up to 12 guests. She has 4 staterooms with private heads (bathrooms) and is available for multiple day sleep-aboard charters. (add $400/night for sleepover)

Spectacular Taylor Swift Gift Boosts Houston Classical Charter School — Part of a Jaw-Dropping $1.75 Million Windfall

What: Houston Classical Charter School (HCCS) second annual Foundational Dinner

PC Moment: Highlight of the evening would be the spectacular bottom line — $1,750,000 raised for the tuition-free charter school that welcomes low income students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Last year’s gala proceeds of $1.1 million allowed the expansion from kindergarten to third grade. These 2024 gala proceeds will enable the school to register and teach more students.

That growth “is not merely for the sake of expansion,” HCCS founder Deyvis Salazar told the gathering. “We are not aiming to become a network of 20 schools. On the contrary, we strive to maintain intimate connections with our families. Rather, we are committed to knowing each child and family who walks through our doors.”

Located in Alief, Houston Classical Charter School employs a classical approach to learning, stressing rigorous academics, character development and a structured environment designed to ensure high school, college and life success.

HCCS patrons Joe Greenberg , the Alta Resources founder, and Mark Gregg, Kiwi Energy founder, generously contributed to the bottom line by announcing that they would match all gifts during the event up to $200,000.

Further adding to the proceeds were to-die-for live auction items — a signed Taylor Swift guitar, two tickets to her concert in New Orleans, an unforgettable journey to the sun-kissed shores of Puerto Vallarta for 17 at Villa Alexa , and a Hill Country getaway with a James Beard Award nominated chef.
