The island’s location at the southernmost tip of the continental US allows for unobstructed views of the sun sinking into the horizon, painting the sky with fiery oranges, deep pinks, and purples. This nightly spectacle, coupled with the relaxed island atmosphere, draws visitors and locals alike to celebrate the beauty of a day’s end in Key West.

The green flash, sometimes spotted in Key West sunsets, is a fleeting emerald shimmer that appears just as the sun dips below the horizon. This rare phenomenon occurs due to the way sunlight bends in Earth’s atmosphere, briefly separating the sun’s colors and allowing a glimpse of green.

Seeing wildlife on a Key West sunset cruise is possible, but not guaranteed. Dolphins are frequent visitors, and you might spot sea turtles, manta rays, or even sharks depending on the day. Keep your eyes peeled and listen for splashes – the sunset might come with an unexpected animal encounter!

At maximum capacity, the trip will hold a total of 125 guests and the average number of guests may vary depending on the time of the year. There are a total of 3 decks to spread out for the duration of the trip including a shade deck, an upper deck, and the sun deck that can also double for your dance floor!

Had to pay 40 euro - almost 40% of the experience’s cost - just for the taxi ride back, when the TripAdvisor write up clearly stated that “ Transfer by private bus from the harbor to the winery and from the winery to Barcelona” was included in the fee paid for experience. Unfortunately, disappointed in this trip (although I would greatly recommend a trip to the winery!) due to the clear discrepancy in what I was told in writing would be provided, and conversely what had to be paid out of pocket on the trip. Here’s my experience: Only 3 minutes before the tour was supposed to begin, some crew member showed up. It was not a catamaran but a regular boat that was provided. The crew was disinterested if not to say rude at some points. The shuttle that took us from the harbour to the winery was a filthy taxi. We were just dropped off at the gates of the winery without further instructions. The tasting was good but the whole experience underwhelming. There is a small step, however over the years we have perfected assisting guests with wheelchairs onto our trips.

Don't forget that the sun hits different in Barcelona! Protect your skin. If you're traveling through Europe, don't forget that some airports, (specifically London ) have pesky liquid requirements.

SAND PROOF/QUICK DRY TOWEL

Going to the beach? Don't forget your towel! And definitely don't get stuck waiting for it to dry. These quick dry towels keep away the worst part of the beach (sand) and make it easy to store them when you're back in your hotel. Plus, they're super compact and light weight.

WHITE SNEAKERS

Hear me out - you'll be walking a lot while you're in Barcelona. In fact, you'll probably have to walk through one of Barcelona's neighborhoods to get to your sunset cruise. You could take an e-bike walking isn't your jam.

Departure and return details of the cruise

Sea Maui, 2435 Kaanapali Pkwy, Lahaina, HI 96761, USA

You are to check in at the Sea Maui kiosk between Leilani’s and Hula Grill on the beach walk at Whalers Village 30 minutes before departure. In addition, you are granted 4 hours of free parking at the parking structure of Whalers Village. 

After the cruise, you go back to the location of where the tour started. 

Required clothes to wear and items to bring on Maui’s Sunset Live Music Cruise

• All quests to consume alcoholic drinks must present a valid or government-issued ID.
• You may bring light jackets, sweatshirts, or cardigans during your tour, as the temperature on the open ocean tends to decrease at night. 
• In case you’re prone to motion sickness, bring any preventatives for motion sickness. 
• Wearing comfortable clothes is recommended during the trip. 
• As all tours require barefoot, wearing sandals and flip-flops is recommended for easy removal. Additionally, all footwear will be collected and put together in bin storage during cruises. 

Cancellation Policy

• As the trip requires good weather for a memorable experience to happen, in case of bad weather, you’ll be given a full refund of the money you spend, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for another day. 
• All cut-offs will be based on Maui local time.
• Any changes presented less than 24 hours before the trip will not be accepted. 
• You can get a full refund if you cancel your trip at least 24 hours prior to your trip’s start time. 
• In case you cancel your trip less than 24 hours before the start time of the journey, you will not receive the amount of money you paid during the booking. 

Restrictions

• All cruise trips are not accessible for wheelchairs.
• All children can join and experience the fun in a sunset live music cruise on Maui.
• People with trouble walking on their own or those with mobility issues are recommended not to join the trip as it requires a few steps on the beach sand and water before reaching the staircase that leads to the vessel.
