Located at Yas Marina Abu Dhabi, Xclusive Yachts offers an authentic sailing yacht experience for sharing, private yacht rental and boat club which will operate early next year.

Yacht Share tours are sailing soon on a lunch tour from 10:00 – 14:00 at AED310 per person and sundowner tour from 17:00-19:00 at AED260 per person. Tours operate with a tour guide, served with freshly prepared BBQ on board, red carpet on departure and perfect photo moments. Our service guarantees an authentic sailing experience onboard our well maintained 88ft Gulet boat. 

The 88ft Gulet boat is the first and only traditional Turkish sailing boat in the UAE. It has evolved over the years from being traditionally used for fishing and cargo, to being comfortably equipped with all the amenities of home for a fabulous getaway.  Equipped with 6 cabins, shower and changing rooms perfect for sharing charter and private day cruise out in the sea. She has a large and spacious saloon with comfortable seating and dining area. Her foredeck offers you a very comfortable seating area and lots of sun cushions to enjoy the summer sun while the aft deck has an alfresco dining area and a cushioned relaxation area.

Also available for private charter the 82ft Mangusta yacht which can comfortably accommodate up to 34 guests. Every charter is coming with a professionally experienced captain and crew to ensure you have the best sailing experience. Freshly prepared BBQ served on board, soft drinks, bottled water, ice and red carpet on departure.

Other supermarkets near The Marina include Organic Foods and Café, Spinneys and Waitrose in downtown Abu Dhabi. All of these options can be reached in under 10 minutes. Most residential communities and buildings near Marina Village have many supermarkets in proximity, which quickly deliver urgent necessities to your home.

CHURCHES, TEMPLES AND MOSQUES IN THE MARINA

There are two mosques in The Marina. Al Kareem Mosque is centrally located in this area, while Heritage Village Mosque is located near the coastline.

Many other mosques are just a few minutes drive away. For Christians residing in The Marina, there are many churches part of the Al Mushrif community. St. Joseph’s Cathedral and St. Andrew’s Church are located at a 20-minute drive away.

Plans for the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi have been introduced and it is anticipated to be completed by 2021. Meanwhile, Hindu residents will have to travel to the Bur Dubai area in Dubai to visit the Shiva and Krishna temples . Kipina Al Butin Nursery is a nursery school located in Al Bateen which is easily accessible from Marina Village. British Orchard Nursery, Teddy Bear American Nursery and Redwood Nursery are other options in Al Bateen, located 10 minutes away.

An array of elementary and higher secondary schools near The Marina is a big reason why this neighbourhood is a success so far. A reputed school near Marina Village is the American Community School of Abu Dhabi , it offers the American curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 12 . It is located 12 minutes away. 

Abu Dhabi International Private School or AIS is a private co-educational school, located 13 minutes away. At AIS, students are given the opportunity to study the American curriculum , British (IGCSE and A-Levels) curriculum or the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum .

GEMS Winchester School is another option located at a similar distance offering the British curriculum from Foundation Stage to Year 9 . 

University options which can be reached in 20 minutes or less include AlHosn University , Khalifa University and University of Strathclyde Business School .

CLINICS AND HOSPITALS IN THE MARINA

Catering to the health care needs of its residents, residents can find Harley Street Medical Centre and Remax Medical Center in The Marina.

There is an internationally renowned eye hospital in The Marina called Moorfields Eye Hospital Centre . Other hospitals such as King’s College Hospital Clinics, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City and Medeor 24×7 Hospital can be reached in 15 minutes.

NEARBY AREAS

Marina Village is located right across Corniche Road , Al Khubeirah and Al Khalidiyah .  Hamdan Street , which is just a 10-minute drive, is home to some of the oldest gold stores in the city. The Marina is also close to the Al Ras Al Akhdar community which is home to the 7-star Emirates Palace hotel and Qasr Al Watan (the UAE Presidential Palace open to the public).

It also has Tiara, the revolving restaurant on its 30-story observation tower, which provides some breath-taking views of the capital city and the Arabian Gulf. Various other upscale retail outlets and dining establishments are located within Marina Mall.

RESTAURANTS IN THE MARINA

When it comes to food, residents of the area get all the perks; serving almost everything, one can find an abundance of restaurants in The Marina. The most number of dining places are those restaurants in Marina Mall , it has a food court with many fast-food eateries such as McDonald’s , KFC and Pizza Hut . There are also casual dining restaurants such as Shake Shack, Five Guys and Fuddruckers for burgers.

Tony Roma’s and Lips The Cafe are preferred for Italian cuisine or you could visit Shakespeare & Co., La Brioche and The Coffee Club to try out their international menu. Restaurants in Marina Mall offering Arabic food include Azkadenya, Villa Beirut, Petek and Zaatar W Zeit . 

There are a few waterfront restaurants in The Marina opposite Marina Mall. Lal Qila is a buffet restaurant offering Pakistani – Indian cuisine, Bill’s Farm is a steakhouse while Casper & Gambini’s offers a different fusion of cuisines. Rokn Al Hawamir is preferred for its seafood dishes, Mirage Marine is an Arabian restaurant and Royal Yacht Restaurant is located on an actual yacht.

BEACHES IN THE MARINA

As it is a waterfront development there are two beaches in The Marina. Breakwater Beach is more of a marina and has many private boats and yachts docked there. There is a beach there where you can enjoy water sports such as parasailing, boating and wakeboarding. WaveBreaker Beach is a smaller beach in the area, it doesn’t have many amenities but makes up for it with its relaxing environment and uninterrupted view of the Arabian Gulf.

Corniche Beach near The Marina has a separate section for singles, families and the general public. It has been awarded the coveted Blue Flag status – an international standard that guarantees clean and safe bathing water. It is a popular public beach in Abu Dhabi with many amenities and facilities. Corniche Beach also hosts many events all year long and is a happening location. 

LEISURE ACTIVITIES AND NOTABLE LANDMARKS

Considering the water around which The Marina is built to relish the waterfront lifestyle, you may head to Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club or Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club. For a more traditional experience, you can visit the Emirates Heritage Club in Marina Village. Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club was established in 2011 to serve as the new home of modern & traditional Sailing in Abu Dhabi. The yacht club will include all the infrastructure & facilities necessary to host events & to further the development of sailing in Abu Dhabi. The club will be home to large variety of watersports including dhow sailing, yachting, dinghy sailing, surfing, rowing & kayaking.

Text description provided by the architects. Yas Island Yacht Club’s streamlined curvilinear form was conceived as an iconic landmark on the brand new Yas Marina and F1 Track and makes an emphatic contribution to the leisure and hospitality facilities already within the precinct.

The complex incorporates various 5-star club uses within high quality contemporary interiors including restaurants, bars, lounges, function rooms, outdoor deck areas and associated administration, retail and car parking components.

A composition of dynamic and fluid forms link the buildings to the nautical theme, the heritage of the locale and the new F1 character of Yas Island. Yas Island Yacht Club is designed to excite, inspire and strengthen the concept that is Yas.

Distinguished by its sparkling white exterior shells against the backdrop of the Yas Marina and F1 Track, the sculpted forms of the two main buildings are reflected in a series of surrounding water features set into a lush garden landscape. A matrix of crystal LED façade lights integrated into the exterior shells enable their transformation into giant pixelated viewing screens against the night sky.

Abu Dhabi’s Jubail Island launches Bada Al Jubail, a $1.08 billion development

Abu Dhabi’s Jubail Island Investment Company ( JIIC ) has introduced Bada Al Jubail, an exclusive seaside community featuring luxurious mansions on Jubail Island. The development is valued at AED4 billion ($1.08 billion) and spans over 446,000 square meters of land, boasting 8 kilometers of beachfront.

The residential plots in Bada Al Jubail will vary in size, ranging from 2,000 sqm to 6,000 sqm. Also, there are nine different mansion typologies available, ranging from 1,100 sqm to 3,000 sqm in size.
