Had a late lunch with the family and everything was superb. The restaurant itself is very stylish and we had a booth table with an outside view to the lake. The service by Georgia (if I recall her name correctly) was both friendly and professional.... And the food was very good; I had the fish tacos, my wife had the the grilled salmon and my daughter had the Jambalaya Rice Bowl. The house draft lager was crisp and tasty at the Happy Hour price of $4 per pint. We can see why this place is so popular. More

We made a reservation on a Wednesday and took advantage of the half price wine bottle offer. As appetizer I had a sauted calamari that turned out well. My wife enjoyed her ceviche. We shared a local chardonnay that was pleasant. The server was very... attentive and helpful with gluten and dairy allergies. For the main course my wife enjoyed a creole prawn dish. I had a steam dish called the "Millionaire Cut" which was a 7 ounce file cooked properly and accompanied with well prepared prawns. It was very good food and good service. More

This restaurant is very popular, so recommend reservations. The location and service are exceptional. They have a great system that allows you to reserve and view menu on line easily. In house the menu is also viewed on your phone but normal for Covid times.... All food items were good. We had stir fry bowls, burgers, etc. and all were good. My only complaint was drinks…..wine was very poor selection. I was very surprised that there were only a couple of local choices. We live in wine country!! With 280+ wineries one would expect better. I saved the worst for last….prices are way out of line…you are definitely paying for the location but that only caters to tourists or those of us who take our visitors there. It does not bring return customers. Would recommend but only for a one time visit. More

Our family took us to Cactus Club for a weekend meal. We pre-booked a table as apparently it can get busy. Our table was situated by the window overlooking the lake which was nice, and there was a good amount of room. Service was excellent... and the waiters/waitresses were very professional. They had a good selection of beers and the meals looked very nice. I had the cheddar burger as a main, which was also on happy hour deals; the burger was cooked well and tasty. The starter and desert I had were also nice and overall the price was reasonable (average for such an establishment). We had a nice time here and I would definitely return; I know our family in Kelowna visit very regularly! More

If your are looking for nice and elegant meal, this is the place. Cactus Club Cafe Kelowna Yacht Club face the great Okanagan Lake and offers you breathtaking views of the Harbor and the Sunset. Food is delicate, their Szichuan wraps and Tuna rolls are... great, Entrees are a delight. Only one negative, the Lava Cake was too hard hence we did not finish. Yam fries not crispy, tasted like they had been sitting. Fries with the crispy chicken sandwich also big disappointment, not fresh and hot, we drove 2 minutes before parking and eating them. Chicken portion was delicious and huge, great value. Jambalaya and tuna poke bowls... were both excellent. Bandara salad was tasty, little small. We were welcomed with the understandable request to clean our hands. A young man walked right by us without being asked to do so. The hostess ‘explained’ he was the manager . . . giving the correct example. We had the bacon cheddar burger and... the hunter chicken. The latter was good but the burger was not: thin dried out patty with tasteless fries. Head sommelier Sébastien LeGoff hasn’t been here for a while. Our kind waitress informed us that the red Burrowing Owl wine would be served at room temperature, likely 22 or 23°C. That is about 5-7 degrees too warm. I find this amazing, since beer is properly cooled, why not the wine? It tastes so much better then. Service was attentive. More

While vacationing in Kelowna, we booked dinner reservation here. We had great service and delicious food. Our server, Jayke was very attentive and was able to easily accommodate my dietary restrictions. We were there for the Dine Around Okanagan program. Jayke’s knowledge of the menu... also helped with our individual selections. We started with the prawn crunch roll - very yummy and the butternut squash ravioli duo - also yummy. Our mains were the grilled Dijon salmon and chargrilled steak 8oz. Salmon was tender and moist. My hubby’s steak was cooked to a perfect medium. We had 1 of each of the desserts on the prix fixed menu - white chocolate cheesecake and the apple tart. It was a very delicious and enjoyable evening. More

Do not go here! I planned my wedding dinner for 10 at this restaurant, called 5 times to make sure dinner plans were right, only to find out that they couldn’t accommodate our group when we got there. I stood outside in my wedding dress... and called The Keg. Thank you to The Keg for saving the day! More

We have dined here previously and that is the reason we returned with friends. The food was of the same high quality that we have come to expect as was the service. We arrive a few minutes before our reservation time and when our friends... arrived we were seated immediately. Had we known the location of our seats we might have asked for a different seat. Great location for the summer but it was March and the area was covered only with a clear plastic "window" . Totally inadequate. It seemed that every time the front door was opened the cold air rushed in. Even with the overhead heaters the variation in temperatures was disconcerting for our guests. This is a fairly large and prime seating area so I would suggest that the cafe invest in a more insulated type of GLASS window so as to retain this area as a comfortable seating area in the cooler months and still be able to remove the temporary windows in the summer months. The view and food is still first rate but not when your guests have to eat with their coats on or wrapped in a blanket. More

I don't know if it was the fact that I haven't been out in a year or that it was my birthday but we just had the most amazing Happy Hour,'Mom's Birthday' Lunch. Mariana B was just the best, so good with the kids, she... is fast and bubbly, makes great suggestions. The Chef's are just the best, the kids split a plain cheeseburger and fries and they always top up the fries for kids. It's the little things like that, that go a long way. New bartender, was really nervous making me a custom Mojito but he did a perfect job. Omg, we ate so much food and it was all amazing, my favourite is the Tuna Stack and my Truffle fries, xoxo I'm so in love. I FINALLY got to try the Prawn Crunch and Ahi Tuna Sushi rolls, both were excellent, I recommend both and I'm a hardcore sushi lover. Dreadful. Management team need to be fully trained in dealing with complaints, walking off isn’t how you deal with an issue - it doesn’t go away because you ignore it. Food was dry and tasteless, took ages to arrive, I think the kitchen were using... the same initiative as the management team - can’t be bothered being at the top of the list. If you want to learn how not to run a restaurant - this is the place to go, it won’t disappoint on that score More

The location is beautiful that's about it! We had the worst experience here & will never return. 2 out of 3 meals had to be sent back for not being cooked, coffee was old & tasted burnt. The waitress was chatty with the table over... & we could hardley get her attention to rectify our meals. Terrible! We went to celebrate a birthday & was so disappointed. I advised before so they could maybe do something special, they said they would put it on the reservation. Nothing was acknowledged & had so many problems with the meals... very disappointing! If you decide to dine out in Kelowna, this place should be on the absolute bottom of your list. I dined at this location on August 7th and witnessed blatant acts of racism. Watching multiple POC get kicked out of your establishment for chatting at... tables with their friends was concerning to watch. Especially since Caucasian individuals like myself had been doing so at the same table for over 30 minutes without someone even telling me I wasn’t allowed to do so. Repercussions finally occurred when my friend, a POC, joined the conversation. He was told to leave the premises. When I questioned the way they were responding, I was told no one had even seen me and I was not kicked out. I chose to voice my concerns in a calm and nonjudgmental manner and was met with hostility, aggression and defensiveness by the staff, specifically a young white male shift leader and a white female server. Instead of acknowledgment or problem solving to prevent this from happening in the future, the shift leader replied “I’m not a racist” and that these events didn’t actually transpire. The extremely mature female server chose to laugh in my face and joke about the situation. If you actually care about COVID dining standards and have even an ounce of respect for human beings, discriminating against POC should NOT be on your list of COVID protocols. Furthermore, if you’re really not a racist, ACT LIKE IT and leave your pathetic excuses at home. More

Server Ali was great. Food took a long time to get served though - he said there was a delay at the steak station, after about ... 50 mins of waiting. He did offer dessert on the house but we were too full and not really keen on the desserts. Had the 4mushrooms steak. Asparagus was tough, steak, which I'd asked for medium, was more medium-well (ie overcooked), but the mashedpotato was good. Drank a Fros?, which is basically frozen ros?, I thought, which was ok. Sis ordered the crispy tofu bowl, whichcame with rice. Was too spicy for her. If she'd been told it was spicy I don't think she'd have ordered it. Niece had the friedchicken strips. It was ok. Had a late lunch with the family and everything was superb. The restaurant itself is very stylish and we had a booth table with an outside view to the lake. The service by Georgia (if I recall her name correctly) was both friendly and professional.... And the food was very good; I had the fish tacos, my wife had the the grilled salmon and my daughter had the Jambalaya Rice Bowl. The house draft lager was crisp and tasty at the Happy Hour price of $4 per pint. We can see why this place is so popular. More

We made a reservation on a Wednesday and took advantage of the half price wine bottle offer. As appetizer I had a sauted calamari that turned out well. My wife enjoyed her ceviche. We shared a local chardonnay that was pleasant. The server was very... attentive and helpful with gluten and dairy allergies. For the main course my wife enjoyed a creole prawn dish. I had a steam dish called the "Millionaire Cut" which was a 7 ounce file cooked properly and accompanied with well prepared prawns. It was very good food and good service. More

This restaurant is very popular, so recommend reservations. The location and service are exceptional. They have a great system that allows you to reserve and view menu on line easily. In house the menu is also viewed on your phone but normal for Covid times.... All food items were good. We had stir fry bowls, burgers, etc. and all were good. My only complaint was drinks…..wine was very poor selection. I was very surprised that there were only a couple of local choices. We live in wine country!! With 280+ wineries one would expect better. I saved the worst for last….prices are way out of line…you are definitely paying for the location but that only caters to tourists or those of us who take our visitors there. It does not bring return customers. Would recommend but only for a one time visit. More

Our family took us to Cactus Club for a weekend meal. We pre-booked a table as apparently it can get busy. Our table was situated by the window overlooking the lake which was nice, and there was a good amount of room. Service was excellent... and the waiters/waitresses were very professional. They had a good selection of beers and the meals looked very nice. I had the cheddar burger as a main, which was also on happy hour deals; the burger was cooked well and tasty. The starter and desert I had were also nice and overall the price was reasonable (average for such an establishment). We had a nice time here and I would definitely return; I know our family in Kelowna visit very regularly! More

Yam fries not crispy, tasted like they had been sitting. Fries with the crispy chicken sandwich also big disappointment, not fresh and hot, we drove 2 minutes before parking and eating them. We were welcomed with the understandable request to clean our hands. A young man walked right by us without being asked to do so. The hostess ‘explained’ he was the manager . . . giving the correct example. We had the bacon cheddar burger and... the hunter chicken. The latter was good but the burger was not: thin dried out patty with tasteless fries. Head sommelier Sébastien LeGoff hasn’t been here for a while. Our kind waitress informed us that the red Burrowing Owl wine would be served at room temperature, likely 22 or 23°C. That is about 5-7 degrees too warm. I find this amazing, since beer is properly cooled, why not the wine? It tastes so much better then. Service was attentive. More

While vacationing in Kelowna, we booked dinner reservation here. We had great service and delicious food. Our server, Jayke was very attentive and was able to easily accommodate my dietary restrictions. We were there for the Dine Around Okanagan program. Jayke’s knowledge of the menu... also helped with our individual selections. We started with the prawn crunch roll - very yummy and the butternut squash ravioli duo - also yummy. Our mains were the grilled Dijon salmon and chargrilled steak 8oz. Salmon was tender and moist. My hubby’s steak was cooked to a perfect medium. Do not go here! I planned my wedding dinner for 10 at this restaurant, called 5 times to make sure dinner plans were right, only to find out that they couldn’t accommodate our group when we got there. I stood outside in my wedding dress... and called The Keg. Thank you to The Keg for saving the day! More

We have dined here previously and that is the reason we returned with friends. The food was of the same high quality that we have come to expect as was the service. We arrive a few minutes before our reservation time and when our friends... arrived we were seated immediately. Had we known the location of our seats we might have asked for a different seat. Great location for the summer but it was March and the area was covered only with a clear plastic "window" . Totally inadequate. It seemed that every time the front door was opened the cold air rushed in. Even with the overhead heaters the variation in temperatures was disconcerting for our guests. This is a fairly large and prime seating area so I would suggest that the cafe invest in a more insulated type of GLASS window so as to retain this area as a comfortable seating area in the cooler months and still be able to remove the temporary windows in the summer months. The view and food is still first rate but not when your guests have to eat with their coats on or wrapped in a blanket. More

I don't know if it was the fact that I haven't been out in a year or that it was my birthday but we just had the most amazing Happy Hour,'Mom's Birthday' Lunch. Mariana B was just the best, so good with the kids, she... is fast and bubbly, makes great suggestions. The Chef's are just the best, the kids split a plain cheeseburger and fries and they always top up the fries for kids. It's the little things like that, that go a long way. New bartender, was really nervous making me a custom Mojito but he did a perfect job. Omg, we ate so much food and it was all amazing, my favourite is the Tuna Stack and my Truffle fries, xoxo I'm so in love. I FINALLY got to try the Prawn Crunch and Ahi Tuna Sushi rolls, both were excellent, I recommend both and I'm a hardcore sushi lover. Dreadful. Management team need to be fully trained in dealing with complaints, walking off isn’t how you deal with an issue - it doesn’t go away because you ignore it. Food was dry and tasteless, took ages to arrive, I think the kitchen were using... the same initiative as the management team - can’t be bothered being at the top of the list. The location is beautiful that's about it! We had the worst experience here & will never return. 2 out of 3 meals had to be sent back for not being cooked, coffee was old & tasted burnt. The waitress was chatty with the table over... & we could hardley get her attention to rectify our meals. Terrible! We went to celebrate a birthday & was so disappointed. If you decide to dine out in Kelowna, this place should be on the absolute bottom of your list. I dined at this location on August 7th and witnessed blatant acts of racism. Watching multiple POC get kicked out of your establishment for chatting at... tables with their friends was concerning to watch. Especially since Caucasian individuals like myself had been doing so at the same table for over 30 minutes without someone even telling me I wasn’t allowed to do so. Repercussions finally occurred when my friend, a POC, joined the conversation. He was told to leave the premises. When I questioned the way they were responding, I was told no one had even seen me and I was not kicked out. I chose to voice my concerns in a calm and nonjudgmental manner and was met with hostility, aggression and defensiveness by the staff, specifically a young white male shift leader and a white female server. Instead of acknowledgment or problem solving to prevent this from happening in the future, the shift leader replied “I’m not a racist” and that these events didn’t actually transpire. The extremely mature female server chose to laugh in my face and joke about the situation. If you actually care about COVID dining standards and have even an ounce of respect for human beings, discriminating against POC should NOT be on your list of COVID protocols. Furthermore, if you’re really not a racist, ACT LIKE IT and leave your pathetic excuses at home. More

Had a late lunch with the family and everything was superb. The restaurant itself is very stylish and we had a booth table with an outside view to the lake. The service by Georgia (if I recall her name correctly) was both friendly and professional.... And the food was very good; I had the fish tacos, my wife had the the grilled salmon and my daughter had the Jambalaya Rice Bowl. The house draft lager was crisp and tasty at the Happy Hour price of $4 per pint. We can see why this place is so popular. More

We made a reservation on a Wednesday and took advantage of the half price wine bottle offer. As appetizer I had a sauted calamari that turned out well. My wife enjoyed her ceviche. We shared a local chardonnay that was pleasant. The server was very... attentive and helpful with gluten and dairy allergies. For the main course my wife enjoyed a creole prawn dish. I had a steam dish called the "Millionaire Cut" which was a 7 ounce file cooked properly and accompanied with well prepared prawns. It was very good food and good service. More

This restaurant is very popular, so recommend reservations. The location and service are exceptional. They have a great system that allows you to reserve and view menu on line easily. In house the menu is also viewed on your phone but normal for Covid times.... All food items were good. We had stir fry bowls, burgers, etc. and all were good. My only complaint was drinks…..wine was very poor selection. I was very surprised that there were only a couple of local choices. We live in wine country!! With 280+ wineries one would expect better. I saved the worst for last….prices are way out of line…you are definitely paying for the location but that only caters to tourists or those of us who take our visitors there. It does not bring return customers. Would recommend but only for a one time visit. More

Our family took us to Cactus Club for a weekend meal. We pre-booked a table as apparently it can get busy. Our table was situated by the window overlooking the lake which was nice, and there was a good amount of room. Service was excellent... and the waiters/waitresses were very professional. They had a good selection of beers and the meals looked very nice. I had the cheddar burger as a main, which was also on happy hour deals; the burger was cooked well and tasty. The starter and desert I had were also nice and overall the price was reasonable (average for such an establishment). We had a nice time here and I would definitely return; I know our family in Kelowna visit very regularly! More

If your are looking for nice and elegant meal, this is the place. Cactus Club Cafe Kelowna Yacht Club face the great Okanagan Lake and offers you breathtaking views of the Harbor and the Sunset. Food is delicate, their Szichuan wraps and Tuna rolls are... great, Entrees are a delight. Only one negative, the Lava Cake was too hard hence we did not finish. Yam fries not crispy, tasted like they had been sitting. Fries with the crispy chicken sandwich also big disappointment, not fresh and hot, we drove 2 minutes before parking and eating them. Chicken portion was delicious and huge, great value. Jambalaya and tuna poke bowls... were both excellent. Bandara salad was tasty, little small. For take out it was good to see the prices weren’t jacked up. More

We were welcomed with the understandable request to clean our hands. A young man walked right by us without being asked to do so. The hostess ‘explained’ he was the manager . . . giving the correct example. We had the bacon cheddar burger and... the hunter chicken. The latter was good but the burger was not: thin dried out patty with tasteless fries. Head sommelier Sébastien LeGoff hasn’t been here for a while. Our kind waitress informed us that the red Burrowing Owl wine would be served at room temperature, likely 22 or 23°C. That is about 5-7 degrees too warm. I find this amazing, since beer is properly cooled, why not the wine? It tastes so much better then. Service was attentive. More

While vacationing in Kelowna, we booked dinner reservation here. We had great service and delicious food. Our server, Jayke was very attentive and was able to easily accommodate my dietary restrictions. We were there for the Dine Around Okanagan program. Jayke’s knowledge of the menu... also helped with our individual selections. We started with the prawn crunch roll - very yummy and the butternut squash ravioli duo - also yummy. Our mains were the grilled Dijon salmon and chargrilled steak 8oz. Salmon was tender and moist. My hubby’s steak was cooked to a perfect medium. We had 1 of each of the desserts on the prix fixed menu - white chocolate cheesecake and the apple tart. It was a very delicious and enjoyable evening. More

Do not go here! I planned my wedding dinner for 10 at this restaurant, called 5 times to make sure dinner plans were right, only to find out that they couldn’t accommodate our group when we got there. I stood outside in my wedding dress... and called The Keg. Thank you to The Keg for saving the day! More

We have dined here previously and that is the reason we returned with friends. The food was of the same high quality that we have come to expect as was the service. We arrive a few minutes before our reservation time and when our friends... arrived we were seated immediately. Had we known the location of our seats we might have asked for a different seat. Great location for the summer but it was March and the area was covered only with a clear plastic "window" . Totally inadequate. It seemed that every time the front door was opened the cold air rushed in. Even with the overhead heaters the variation in temperatures was disconcerting for our guests. This is a fairly large and prime seating area so I would suggest that the cafe invest in a more insulated type of GLASS window so as to retain this area as a comfortable seating area in the cooler months and still be able to remove the temporary windows in the summer months. The view and food is still first rate but not when your guests have to eat with their coats on or wrapped in a blanket. More

I don't know if it was the fact that I haven't been out in a year or that it was my birthday but we just had the most amazing Happy Hour,'Mom's Birthday' Lunch. Mariana B was just the best, so good with the kids, she... is fast and bubbly, makes great suggestions. The Chef's are just the best, the kids split a plain cheeseburger and fries and they always top up the fries for kids. It's the little things like that, that go a long way. New bartender, was really nervous making me a custom Mojito but he did a perfect job. Omg, we ate so much food and it was all amazing, my favourite is the Tuna Stack and my Truffle fries, xoxo I'm so in love. I FINALLY got to try the Prawn Crunch and Ahi Tuna Sushi rolls, both were excellent, I recommend both and I'm a hardcore sushi lover. Dreadful. Management team need to be fully trained in dealing with complaints, walking off isn’t how you deal with an issue - it doesn’t go away because you ignore it. Food was dry and tasteless, took ages to arrive, I think the kitchen were using... the same initiative as the management team - can’t be bothered being at the top of the list. If you want to learn how not to run a restaurant - this is the place to go, it won’t disappoint on that score More

The location is beautiful that's about it! We had the worst experience here & will never return. 2 out of 3 meals had to be sent back for not being cooked, coffee was old & tasted burnt. The waitress was chatty with the table over... & we could hardley get her attention to rectify our meals. Terrible! We went to celebrate a birthday & was so disappointed. I advised before so they could maybe do something special, they said they would put it on the reservation. Nothing was acknowledged & had so many problems with the meals... very disappointing! If you decide to dine out in Kelowna, this place should be on the absolute bottom of your list. I dined at this location on August 7th and witnessed blatant acts of racism. Watching multiple POC get kicked out of your establishment for chatting at... tables with their friends was concerning to watch. Especially since Caucasian individuals like myself had been doing so at the same table for over 30 minutes without someone even telling me I wasn’t allowed to do so. Repercussions finally occurred when my friend, a POC, joined the conversation. He was told to leave the premises. When I questioned the way they were responding, I was told no one had even seen me and I was not kicked out. I chose to voice my concerns in a calm and nonjudgmental manner and was met with hostility, aggression and defensiveness by the staff, specifically a young white male shift leader and a white female server. Instead of acknowledgment or problem solving to prevent this from happening in the future, the shift leader replied “I’m not a racist” and that these events didn’t actually transpire. The extremely mature female server chose to laugh in my face and joke about the situation. If you actually care about COVID dining standards and have even an ounce of respect for human beings, discriminating against POC should NOT be on your list of COVID protocols. Furthermore, if you’re really not a racist, ACT LIKE IT and leave your pathetic excuses at home. More
