The White Pearl is a 56.4-meter/183-feet-long luxury liveaboard built in 2020 that takes 26 guests on dive safaris in the Maldives. There are 13 guest rooms, including a Master Suite, Junior Suites, and Deluxe Cabins. Each cabin is equipped with basic amenities and ensuite bathrooms with hot showers. Other home comforts include HD TV sets, satellite TV, and Google Cast. The keypad door lock system ensures convenience and security during your stay. Amazing comfort, great service, good diving.

The boat is very new, well-maintained and extremely comfortable. Each room is not too dissimilar to an actual hotel room and after each dive, you have access to a hot shower, which is amazing for a livaboard. The food is great as well. The onboard chefs prepare a range of cuisines everyday so you're never bored of what you're eating. This is the first liveaboard I've ever been on that has an onboard gym. Weights ranging from 2kg to 20kg, rowing machine, bench, cycling machine. There's also a dedicated area to set up and clean your underwater photography gear - very handy. The Jacuzzi is also a plus. If this is the level of comfort you're seeking for a liveaboard, this is the boat for you. The diving was good. Our dive guide Rishi was very knowledgeable, attentive and professional. We were a little bit unlucky with our diving at the start of the trip, as we didn't see much during a number of the channel dives. But as we got to Fuvahmulah, we got to see some tiger sharks (additional charge of US$40/pp) and Mantas, everyone's mood drastically improved. Overall an excellent experience.

Perfect boat

This boat is awesome, it's spacious and comfortable and beautiful. The crew is so careful and attentive to you. The chef offers a wide range of food. For the dives, ask for Risshi! The best guide of the team for sure! On the last day, a jet-ski is available but chargeable. It's the best boat whatsoever!

The beach bbq was awesome and the staff put so much effort into the small details. This was a great social event which was pivotal in bringing the whole group of 15 divers from various nationalities together socially. Diving with the mantas at Addu Madigaa , swimming with the whaleshark, getting up close with the tiger shark at Tiger Zoo and seeing a mass of shark activity at Villingili were some of the highlights of the trip

L’esperienza a bordo dalla White Pearl è sicuramente di primo livello, bellissime immersioni abbiamo addirittura visto 2 squali martello, ottima cucina, barca praticamente nuova. Ringrazio l’equipaggio che mi ha aiutato a preparare una piccola festa a sorpresa per il compleanno di uno dei miei compagni di viaggio. L’unica cosa che che consiglio di mettere a punto è il rispetto del programma della giornata non sempre rispettato al 100%. Grazie per a tutti per la splendida esperienza.

• Less than 91 days out = no refund
• The destination country prevents you from entering due to their governmental guidelines and restrictions on your country of residence.
• Your country of residence prevents you from departing due to their governmental guidelines and restrictions on the embarkation point for the liveaboard.

Largest Luxury Maldives Liveaboard: White Pearl

At 56.4 meters long, White Pearl is the fastest, largest super-yacht in the Maldives; built in 2020, it is also one of the newest. 

This luxury liveaboard boasts a spa, swimming pool, 2 jacuzzis, 2 bars, gym, cafe and an entertainment salon with games consoles, gym equipment and business centre. 

Guests can look forward to many extra activities including yoga, massages, multiple beach barbecues, jet skis, kayaks, SUP boards and more.

It would be hard to overstate just how massive the White Pearl is! It is the only Maldives liveaboard to have a swimming pool and entertainment salon and 1 of only 2 liveaboards to have a spa and gym (the other being  ScubaSpa Yang ). 

The swimming pool (which includes a jacuzzi) is at the bow of the main deck. It has incredible nighttime lighting and is adjacent to a shaded outdoor bar with Plasma TV and bar stools. 

Leading in from here is the indoor saloon and dining area where a huge variety of Maldivian and International Cuisine is served buffet style: guest reviews frequently cite food aboard the White Pearl as being of extremely high quality both in taste and presentation style. 

Continuing on towards the stern of the boat is the entertainment salon with  games consoles, HD Satellite TV and business centre with guest access computers. There is also a gym with  rowing machine, dumbbells, benches and mattresses. For an extra fee, guests can enjoy guided yoga sessions. 

Up on the next level lies the sundeck as well as another bar and lounge area with many pads and reclining chairs plus numerous massage tables. 

The 13 guest cabins are all absolutely massive and have satellite HD TV sets, heaps of storage space, aircon and ensuite bathrooms. The most luxurious of these is the Master Suite which has a Kingsize bed, bunk bed, ocean view window, lounge with TV, work desk and massive ensuite bathroom with a bathtub.

There is a huge storage room for scuba diving gear plus camera station at the bow of White Pearl; however diving actually takes place from the large dhoni which has plenty of space for gear storage and kitting up. 

White Pearl explores the Central Maldives – this is actually the most famous region of the country for divers. It’s good for manta rays and many sharks including grey reef, whitetip reef, nurse, tiger and whale sharks. The friendly dive guides are very experienced and knowledgable about the marine life and will keep you safe.

Diving highlights include night dives with manta rays at fespu lagoon, Alimantha jetty night dive with 100 nurse sharks, channel dives with hundreds of grey reef sharks, feeding frenzies and many more fascinating and varied dive sites over a dramatic underwater landscape of many coral coated pinnacles, walls and reefs. 

White Pearl also includes an insane amount of extra activities on every trip. There are usually 2 beach barbecues (whereas on other Maldives liveaboards it is just 1), a trip to an island for evening cocktails, inflatable pools, kayaks, SUP boards, massages, yoga, a traditional music performance and jet skis!

Notes: Child policy: Only children above 7 years old are allowed onboard the yacht. Parents are fully responsible for their children at all times during the cruise as the operator does not provide child care services. All children under 11 years old (as of the first day of scheduled cruise) will be charged 50% of the full price, provided they are sharing the same bed with their parents, and are non-divers. All junior divers will be given 10% discount off the full price of the cruise.

Dive experience: Open Water Diver certification and a minimum of 20 logged dives are required for central and northern atolls safaris. Advanced Open Water and 100 logged dives are required for southern and deep south cruises.

Cruise price per person includes: Cabin accommodation with air-conditioning, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, drinking water, hot drinks, round trip transfers to the boat from the local airport, dives, nitrox fills for enriched air certified divers, experienced English speaking instructors (6 divers per guide), tanks, weights and weight belts, SMB, GPS for each diver, all taxes.

Cruise price per person excludes (mandatory, unless customer provides own): Scuba equipment (incl. SMB, dive computer: US$ 45 per week), dive insurance (available for purchase onboard), park/dive fees (where applicable - Hanifaru Bay US$ 30, Tiger Zoo US$ 30), Green Tax (US$ 6 per night). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival, with equipment ordered in advance (bank cards or cash - EUR, USD).

Optional extras: Soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, 15 litre tank (US$ 15 per day), torch (US$ 7 per day). Unless otherwise stated, all the listed items need to be paid on arrival. Note: prices of items purchased onboard are subject to change.

How to get there: White Pearl liveaboard safaris normally departs from Male Airport (MLE). The first and last night of the cruise are spent in the harbour. Most guests arrive in the afternoon of the 1st day and will be met at the airport and transferred to the boat. Scheduled airport pick-ups are at 12 noon and 5 pm. Staff will be ready to receive you right outside the arrivals gate, The last dive of the trip will be at around 10:30 am on the second last day of the trip. Guests will disembark at 7:30 am on the final day and be transferred to the local airport. Please wait at least 18 hours before flying after diving. Some trips begin or end in Huvadhoo or Addu. Direct flights are available out of Male to these atolls. For Huvadhoo, guests fly in to/from Kooddoo airport (GKK). For Addu, guests fly in to/from Gan airport (GAN). Non-diver rate: 10% discount.

Single supplement (if you do not want to share accommodation): This is optional - single travelers may choose to share a cabin, or pay a supplement of 80% of the safari price for their own cabin.

Dive clubs and group discounts: Pay for 7 guests and 1 extra person can join the cruise free of charge (total 8+ guests).

Whole boat charter rate (per night): Pay for 21 guests and 3 extra persons can join free of charge (24+ guests).

Families can choose the dedicated 1 Family Suite with a large bedroom, lounge, and bunk beds. Dive Information & Itineraries

Best of central atolls.

8D7N ITINERARY

Arrival day: Pick up from the airport at 12 or 5 PM. While you enjoy your welcome drink we will give you a general boat briefing. After a light lunch or snack we finish all the paperwork and show you your home for the week. Just after dinner around 6PM, we give you a safety briefing. No diving the first day.

Penultimate day: We will do 2 dives in the morning, finishing around 12 noon. The afternoon is free to dry equipment, SUP, kayak or snorkel. Guests are required to ensure they have a minimum of 24 hours between their final dive and the scheduled time of departure of their flights out of Male.

Disembarkation day: Breakfast 6.30AM, disembark around 7 AM.

There may be up to 3 dives per diving day (3 day dives, 1 sunset/night dive - whenever possible). A diving day schedule will look as follows:

• - Hot beverages and light breakfast before Dive 1 briefing.
• - Breakfast and surface interval before Dive 2 briefing.
• - Lunch and surface interval before Dive 3 briefing.
• - Afternoon snacks and beverages, free and easy.
• - Dive 4 briefing (if there is a sunset/night dive scheduled).
• - Dinner and short briefing on the next day’s itinerary, free and easy.

Hanifaru Bay & Northern Atolls

Arrival day: Pick up from the airport at 12 or 5 PM. While you enjoy your welcome drink we will give you a general boat briefing. After a light lunch or snack, we finish all the paperwork and show you your home for the week. Just after dinner around 6 PM, we give you a safety briefing. No diving the first day.

We had a great experience with White Pearl. All Maldivian DMs and captains with local knowledge of dive sites and ecosystem. Dives were very good and they planned around currents and conditions. Very good food and excellent service on board. Appreciated the two beach island barbeques as a change of scenery. Other divers on our cruise were from China, Russia, France and The Netherlands. Camera room, washer/dryers were extra bonus.

What will you experience on this trip?

View itinerary here, day 1 & 2 | flight to the maldives.

Today you will depart from Amsterdam, Düsseldorf or another major European city for the Maldives. Your trip starts with an overnight flight to Malé, the capital of the Maldives.

Often, flying from Düsseldorf is the most economical option. Together with you, we will see which airports are most convenient for you to fly from.

On Day 2, always a Saturday, you will arrive in the Maldives. From 12:00 you can check in on the boat. In terms of arrival times, this often works out pretty well with each other. Of course, we also take this into account when picking flights.

Once you arrive on the boat you settle into your cabin, you can already get your dive gear in order and the rest of the day is all about relaxing and recovering from the trip. Tomorrow the diving program begins!

Day 3 - Diving around South Male & Kandooma Thila

Today is the first day of diving. From Malé, you go to the south.

The South Male Atoll is known for its current-fed channels. The underwater landscape of South Malé, famous for its steep walls, ledges and small caves, is rich in reef fish, as well as plenty of macro life and several manta ray cleaning stations. With any luck, you’ll spot a manta ray on your first dive!

Kandooma Thila, often known as Cocoa Thila, is one of the most famous dive sites in the Maldives. It is in a wide passage guarded by gray reef sharks, and chances are you will also encounter schools of eagle rays, sea turtles and colorful reef fish that cover the entire reef here. Guraidhoo Corner is another wonderful location. This large marine protected area is home to a huge concentration of reef life, including sharks, schools of trevallies, rays and sea turtles.

Day 4 - Diving on the Vaavu Atoll

The channels of Vaavu Atoll are a special diving location. Devana Kandu is one of the channels where people love to dive. The channel is divided in the middle by a reef 250m long. With an incoming current, divers can do some fantastic drift diving here. On the outer reef, there are caves and overhangs that drop vertically from 30m to the depths. Gray reef sharks, eagle rays and pelagic species are seen around the entrance to both passages. Many reef fish have colonized these rocks, and it is not uncommon to see blue-face angelfish, valentine pufferfish and reef lizardfish. As divers drift dive the mile-long channel, the northern and southern passages merge along the way.

Also nearby is the Miyaru Kandu Canal, which translates to “Shark Canal,” and it certainly lives up to its name. A huge variety of marine life can be seen here, including tuna, large schools of gray reef sharks, whitetip reef sharks, tuna and Napoleon wrasse, as well as many colorful reef fish.

Day 5 & 6 - Diving at South & North Ari Atoll

South Ari is known for its stunning underwater topography and spectacular marine life. Reefs affected by climate change are recovering and the visibility of iconic species remains reliable. At the South Ari Marine Protected Area, if you’re lucky, you’ll encounter a whale shark. Manta rays are also spotted at Madivaru, better known as Manta Point, especially during the northeast monsoon. In central Ari are classic thilas like Kudarah Thila, a natural wonder filled with marine life and colorful corals. Fish Head, a top diving spot worldwide, is known for its rich diversity of fish species and is home to sharks. The most common species in this area are scorpion fishs, barracudas, moray eels, and blue-striped snappers. Also on display are numerous black corals, sea fans and anemones.

Day 7 - Diving at the Rasdoo Atoll

From shallow lagoons and gentle reefs for beginners to challenging, channels and dramatic landscapes for the advanced. With an unusually large selection of extraordinary marine life, Rasdhoo Atoll offers the complete diving experience. Rasdhoo Madivaru, a horseshoe-shaped edge, is patrolled by gray reef sharks, whitetip sharks and schools of eagle rays. Looking over the edge into the depths, you can see large sea fans and black coral hanging from the wall, while thousands of anthias flutter around you. Back in the shallows, you are greeted by schools of reef fish such as oriental wrasse, fusiliers, goatfish, snappers and many others. Add to that the occasional spotted eagle ray or a school of large barracuda and you have all the ingredients for a near-perfect Maldivian diving experience.

Day 8 - Diving on the North Malé Atoll

Today is the last day of diving, depending on what time you fly tomorrow you can do 1 or 2 more dives. These dives take place on the North Malé Atoll. Diving at the North Malé Atoll often means diving including at the famous Lankan Manta Point, this offers an unforgettable experience with stingrays.

In the early afternoon it is time to let all the diving gear dry on the deck and relax, for example in the pool on the deck. Or in one of the lounges.

Day 9 & 10 - Return home

The beautiful diving trip in the Maldives is over. Don’t you want to go home yet? Then be sure to check out the options for extending your stay at a resort. Or maybe you’ll still go south to the tiger sharks ?

On the last day of the cruise, guests will be taken to the airport at least 2 hours before their flight time. Check-out and disembarkation will take place from 7:00 am to 9:00 am on the last day. Guests who have extended their stay in the Maldives and are going to a hotel can request a transfer to their respective hotels, this may still incur a small surcharge.

The liveaboard

The M/Y White Pearl is a 56.4-meter yacht with 13 luxurious rooms including a Master Suite, 2 Junior Suites and 10 Deluxe Cabins, accommodating up to 26 guests. The ship, built in 2020, offers an unforgettable diving experience in the beautiful waters of the Maldives.

The design of the M/Y White Pearl is sophisticated with numerous amenities, including a sun deck, dining area, camera room and diving area. For non-diving activities, kayaks and paddleboards are available, and you can pamper yourself with a massage at the spa.

The boat is equipped with two powerful Cummins KTA38-M3 engines and has three aluminum dinghies for various purposes.

The comfortable outdoor spaces offer plenty of opportunity to relax with an outdoor bar, whirlpool, sun deck with loungers and seating. Inside you will find a spacious dining area with café and bar, an entertainment lounge with two televisions, fitness equipment and a business center.

On board the M/Y White Pearl, you will enjoy comfortable and well-appointed cabins. Each cabin has a private bathroom with hot shower and is equipped with an HD television with Google Cast for entertainment. The sleeping areas offer flexibility with both double and king-size beds, ideal for individuals or couples.

For your convenience, there is a safe and simple code door lock system. In addition, a range of basic amenities are offered such as 2-in-1 shampoo and bath gel, separate towel holders for bath and towels, clothes hooks, a hair dryer and a safe. USB ports for charging devices and an inter-room communication system are also provided to make your stay even more enjoyable.

Frequently asked questions about this diving vacation, diving general.

Boat dives on the reef. Often with sharks, manta rays and other big stuff. You will also make frequent dives on a wreck and many drift dives.

At your doorstep, as the liveaboard goes to all the dive sites. Then you will go to the dive site in the smaller Dhoni. This is often less than a 5-minute boat ride away.

Day 3 to 7 you will make 3 to 4 dives per day. Day 8 up to 2 in the morning.

Yes for sure, including Manta rays!

You can make your Advanced Course on the White Pearl ($515.00) as well as the Nitrox Course ($320.00).

Dive insurance is mandatory for all divers aboard the M/Y White Pearl. Your travel insurance may be able to cover diving activities and related incidents. It is important to check that you are adequately insured and have the necessary coverage (maximum depth, recompression chamber fees, etc.) to sail on the White Pearl. Bring the dive insurance card and/or confirmation details on board. It is also possible to purchase dive insurance on board. Cost is about €80 for a week.

Other activities & excursions

On some dive sites you can also snorkel very nicely, other dive sites are too deep. We can arrange a snorkeling guide if the request is made at least one month before departure, however, this may incur additional costs.

Non-divers are welcome on board the M/Y White Pearl! They can enjoy onboard facilities such as the gym, SPA, or just relax on our beautiful sun deck.

Yes. There is WIFI on board. However, the signal is not always good. Set yourself up for this.

Yes, or for an additional cost you can reserve the entire cabin. Ask us about the possibilities.

The dives are from a dhoni. This is a fairly spacious boat, on which you are more comfortable than, say, a zodiac. This dhoni drops you on top of the dive sites.

International outlets to fit any type of electrical plug are available on board. The voltage is 220V.

The camera station also offers a variety of power outlets and USB ports that should satisfy your batteries and charging systems.

Guests will receive a final invoice with their additional charges on the last night before disembarkation. Invoices can be paid by contact or credit card. The White Pearl accepts USD and EUR cash. Regarding credit cards, VISA, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.

‘White Pearl’, the world’s largest sailing yacht

Andrey Igorevich Melnichenko, the 97th wealthiest person on the planet according to Forbes, and the ninth richest in Russia, owns the world’s largest sailing super yacht named ‘Sailing Yacht A’. With a cost of £260million, the vessel is an upgrade to the Russian billionaire’s current multi-million pound ‘Motor Yacht A’. An important part of the costs will be recovered by licensing the technology developed for the vessel for commercial applications.

Also know as “White Pearl”, this fabulous “mega yacht” is 142 meters long, has eight decks, six guest rooms, a flight landing area, three swimming pools and includes an underwater observation room. There’s also a disco below the deck, and many mirrored surfaces across its interior and has a crew of 35 people. The yacht will have a high-tech digital control system operated using a touch sensitive sheet of black glass in the bridge. Inside there are extraordinary technical innovations that offer extraordinary comfort.

This epic vessel was built by the German Naval Yards shipyard in Kiel and took three years to be completed. Its 3 carbon fibre masts are among the most technically challenging free-standing carbon composite structures manufactured until now and they are the world’s tallest carbon composite masts.

Charter the WHITE PEARL I

The 33.91m/111’3″ ‘White Pearl I Sunseeker motor yacht is available for charter for up to 8 guests in 4 cabins. This yacht features interior styling by British designer Sunseeker. Built in 2010, White Pearl I offers 4 suites comprising an Owner’s suite located on the main deck, one VIP cabin and two twin cabins that convert to double cabins. The supremely spacious full-beam Owner suite features extensive storage space provided by the dressing room and also features a jacuzzi bath and shower. The 33.91m/111’3″ ‘White Pearl I Sunseeker motor yacht is available for charter for up to 8 guests in 4 cabins. This yacht features interior styling by British designer Sunseeker. Built in 2010, White Pearl I offers 4 suites comprising an Owner’s suite located on the main deck, one VIP cabin and two twin cabins that convert to double cabins. The supremely spacious full-beam Owner suite features extensive storage space provided by the dressing room and also features a jacuzzi bath and shower.
