If you like being served on paper plates, this is your place. The one thing the South Side Ice Yacht Club does have going for it is cheap. If you eat here you'll see plenty of average folks and some mullets (the haircut). The fish... fry was fine. However, this isn't a place I would bring out-of town visitors. I did find the staff here to be nice folks. More
The South Side Ice Yacht Club in Oshkosh has been know for many years as a Friday Fish gem!! Unfortunately, they only serve food on Friday - but, the meals are fantastic!! And - of course, the crowd is full size. But, if you do... not mind waiting, the fish is well worth the wait. Almost every kind of fresh water fish you can think of - and not only are the portions good sized, but, the prices are not - looks to be $3.00 - $4.00 a plate cheaper than most restaurants. More

Friday Fish Fry ... Fried Perch, fries (or other potato options) coleslaw and rye bread that's a tradition in Wisconsin and other Midwest states. They do it right at South Side! Of course they offer other fish as well as shrimp,scallops, catfish among several,others but... if you don't want fried you have to go with Haddock and it's really good, too! Reserving The Waters for your special occasion gives you and your guests exclusive access to our entire facility. Entertain guests at your celebration in our first-floor Harbor Bar and Winnebago Room, in the Grand Ballroom on the second floor, in our waterfront, Nantucket-inspired screened porch and on our open-air balcony.
The Waters accommodates a maximum of 300 guests. Our Grand Ballroom comfortably seats 172. Guests at larger events are free to enjoy food and drinks in the ballroom, in the first-floor Winnebago Room and on the lakeside screened porch and balcony.

He then moved to Oshkosh in 1867 and lived in the area until 1917. In the span of 50 years, Waters created a city full of renowned desire. The Oshkosh Yacht Club started out gaining members in 1869. The Yacht Club was started so lake schooners and cutters could add formality to informal competition between commercial vessels on the lake.
This place is a must on a Friday night. The atmosphere and view are worth the trip. The bartenders, servers, and fish were all incredible. Will be back soon! The harbor is owned and operated by The Oshkosh Yacht Club. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Oshkosh Yacht Club members use the harbor for their privately owned sailboats. Yacht Club members will not use the harbor during your event. You and your guests are welcome to arrive and depart by boat.
