- Full Gallery
We are excited to welcome the new 'Spirit of Aloha' Catamaran to Waikiki! The new vessel will replace Port Waikiki Cruises' older catamaran currently in operation and will be one of the largest sailing catamarans on the island with room for up to 80 passengers. Port Waikiki Cruises will continue to offer its popular sailing excursions aboard the upgraded vessel, including snorkel adventures and Friday night fireworks dinner cruises.
To book a cruise on the new catamaran, visit here
Explore the Waikiki coastline aboard The Spirit of Aloha, a modern 65-foot catamaran. Its captain and crew members are available to answer questions about the ocean, navigation, sea life and marine conservation. Whales and green sea turtles are some of the creatures that can be seen on any given tour. Passengers also enjoy unobstructed views of Waikiki Beach with a backdrop of the Ko`olau mountains, and in the evenings the twinkling Honolulu skyline. The custom-designed sunset-orange and maile lei sail is a stunning contrast to the azure Pacific as it sails along the Waikiki coastline.
Amenities include a full bar with draft beer, a large fully-enclosed and covered cabin with table and bench seating, two full restrooms, freshwater shower, surround-sound system and multiple stairway entry points for snorkelers entering the water. Ample outdoor areas for sunning are also available before and after the vessel.

Overall rating
What a great excursion. Yes, we saw whales!! Very friendly, accommodating, and organized crew. Captain Mike a true professional with a sense of humor-thank you. Very convenient beach boarding in A-Bay (Waikoloa Resor ... t), which for us was so nice not having to drive down the coast. Cheers
This boat was by far the best option for whale watching. We took my 3 year old son for his birthday, so glad we chose this one. Our captain was determined to have everyone witness all of the amazing sights of whales in t ... heir natural habitat including, breaching, Mom and baby, whale tail waves, even the smell of anchovy whale breath! Will definitely be doing this one again! This was the highlight of our trip, an unforgettable experience! Mahalo Hawaii Nautical!
Perfect whale watch!
A most enjoyable experience! Once we spotted a spout in the distance, we motored to it for a wonderful mother-baby whale show! Only recommendation would be to improve the directions to get to the check-in location on the ... beach.

If you are spending a week at one of the Kohala resorts, we highly recommend that you include a day at Anaeho-omalu Bay in your itinerary. We recently stayed at the Hilton Waikoloa, which is a full-featured resort nearby, sort of the "Disneyland" of Hawaii hotels. There's lots to see and do without leaving the resort, but they don't have a NATURAL beach; their beach is an artifically created salt water lagoon which has a huge man-made waterfall. Hawaii's greatest attraction is it's amazing natural beauty, and we much prefer natural beaches to ones created by bulldozers!
Anaeho'omalu Bay (locals call it A-bay) is a beautiful sandy beach just a mile away from the Hilton; the closest resort is the Waikoloa Marriott. Fortunately in Hawaii ALL beaches in the state are PUBLIC … even the ones with exclusive $10 million dollar homes are required to allow public access. A-bay's sandy beach is perfect for launching kayaks, and catamarans can pull right up to the shore for your snorkel tour to exotic black sand beaches.

- Chevron down About Hawaii Nautical
Hawaii Nautical is one of Hawaii’s largest ocean-activity providers, with a fleet of vessels island-wide serving many harbors across Oahu and the Big Island. We believe in delivering service, safety, and the spirit of Aloha.
We respect the ocean and the ecosystem; we follow strict guidelines so that all marine mammals and wildlife are protected. And we honor the host-culture and support the local communities in which we operate.
We want the natural environment you enjoy today to be here tomorrow, and for every tomorrow after.
That’s why we are Hawaii’s first Dolphin Smart-recognized operator. NOAA’s Dolphin Smart educates guests about dolphin conservation and harassment and advises not to seek activities that pursue close interactions like swimming with dolphins in Hawaii in the wild.
We also follow the guidelines of the Coral Reef Alliance, to establish lasting change and promote coral reef health around the world. That includes sustainable practices — such as no fish-feeding. Coral conservation aims to save these valuable ecosystems, unite communities and preserve cultural identity.
We’ve been wowing guests of all ages for decades in Hawaii. While there’s lots of excitement around our activities, we practice the highest level of safety in everything we do. We treat guests like ohana, the Hawaiian word for family that permeates everything we do.
