Do you get nervous every time you’ve to parallel park your car in a tight spot? I know I do, especially when I’m required to park an expensive press car on a busy street; it makes me sweat like a pig. But imagine docking a multi-million superyacht in a packed marina. It takes serious skills to reverse a big vessel into a tight parking spot. Recently we came across a video posted on Instagram that shows the captain of a luxury superyacht pulling into a cramped docking space in Monaco like it’s no big deal. The video was uploaded on the official Instagram account for M/Y Gene Machine – an Amels 180 yacht that was built in 2013. Chief Officer Tom calmly glides the 55m vessel into its parking spot next to another Amels 180 yacht.

What It Costs To Moor A Superyacht At The Monaco Grand Prix

Forget the F1 – booking a berth is the real race...

What It Costs To Moor A Superyacht At The Monaco Grand Prix

Monaco. The billionaire’s playground. The kleptomaniac’s kryptonite. The ludomaniac’s lair. Superyacht city. Monaco is known as a fabulous place to spend money like wild (and to strut on a treadmill on the deck of your superyacht , whilst watching the F1).

Speaking of which, you might be interested to know how much it costs to moor a superyacht in Monaco during the Monaco Grand Prix. To answer this burning question, DMARGE spoke to Istanbul-based luxury yacht manager Candaş Balci.

Balci told us just to book a fairly average berth in Monaco “for F1 week” was around 30 thousand euros “for a 35-meter motoryacht for a place which had no view of track but inside the port.”

Balci explained: “There are different parts in the marina which have different rates depending on where the yacht will be.”

yacht docking monaco

“If it sees the track or not, price changes as well,” Bali told us.

“The berths which directly see the track were around 50-100K euro for the week, which is almost their yearly berth fee in a normal marina.” Candas Balci

Browsing through Reddit’s F1 Technical page, one user posts a link to a photo which purports to give a list of Monaco’s pricing for 2019. The prices which appear in the photo seem more or less consistent with the pricing Balci gave DMARGE.

yacht docking monaco

Another Reddit user said: “My old landlord used to work on super yachts and also happened to introduce me to f1 so I can at least give you an anecdotal response. He said to rent the slip during the race week was around 100k and there was usually a 20k ‘offering to the port master’ as a separate transaction. He called it a bribe but I’m not sure it’s fair for me to use his characterization.”

RELATED: Hotel Staff Reveal The Wildest Rich Person Requests They’ve Ever Received

Forbes also wrote about this topic a number of years back. They reported: “To moor in one of the world’s most expensive marinas during high season, a superyacht owner can be expected to pay up to $4,130 per night, and during prime time events such as the Monaco Grand Prix rates can skyrocket to $100,000 or more for a five-day stay in Monaco’s prime berths.”

Monaco’s Port Hercules has 700 berths. Ac cording to 212 Yachts , “During the Monaco Grand Prix, the port is filled to capacity, with berths booked well in advance of the event.”

212 Yachts also says that to get yourelf a berth you need to complete a port application form. This is a highly competetive process.

“For the best chance of a successful application, it is essential to submit this form as early as possible,” 212 Yachts states.

“In order to do this, you must first select your charter yacht as technical details of the vessel must be specified on the form. Those directly associated with the Formula One, the Monaco Grand Prix and the event sponsors are fast tracked in the process, contributing to the extremely competitive nature of this process,” ( 212 Yachts ).

There you have it: you can add knowing how much it costs to moor a superyacht in Monaco to your list of superyacht knowledge (which should also include knowing what it costs to spend a week on a superyacht in the medditeranean and why travelling around Europe on a superyacht is more stressful than you think ).

Docking and Mooring Fees in the World

mooring and docking fees

Mooring fees meaning

One of the things you’ll have to pay for during your charter or sailing holiday is mooring fees or berthing fees.

What is a mooring fee? A Mooring Fee represents a time based charge applied to all vessels for staying in a marina or harbour overnight, and connecting to their facilities such as electricity or using their water supplies, toilet facilities, ropes and pontoons.

How Much Does It Cost to Dock a Boat?

How much does it cost to dock a boat in a marina? The answer is: it depends. It depends on different factors such as the place you want to dock. Mooring fees depend also on the type of vessel you have and how much time you want to dock. We are going to clarify these aspects and give you a quick overview of how much you have to pay for docking.

To dock a boat, you need an allotted place where you can secure it. This place can be found on a pier and it is called a slip (in USA) or a berth (in Europe). Berthing or mooring a boat allows you to easily embark and disembark. Slips or berths can be found on different types of piers: main piers, finger piers or floating piers.

How much does it cost to keep a boat in a marina? The Mediterranean can be expensive because of how popular it is. The French, Italian Rivieras and Croatia are the most expensive areas.

mooring fees

Mooring Fees

Mooring fees in the mediterranean.

Mooring fees vary a lot in the Mediterranean  based on the location you choose and the time of the year you travel. The peak season is the most expensive period and it ranges from July to the beginning of September. Besides the season, the length of the boat is a factor that will always influence docking fees for boats. If you rent a docking place for the whole season or for the whole year, you will get discounts.

The busiest period in the Med is between June and the end of September – the summer season.

Southern Europe is generally expensive because the Mediterranean is one of the most popular sailing destinations. Moreover, in the high season, most locations are crowded with tourists and so are the marinas where you can rent a slip or a berth.

The western countries such as France, Italy, Spain are more expensive than Greece for example. The annual mooring costs in France vary between €135 and €1350 / m per year  (€45 to €450 per ft), the most expensive port being Old Port of Saint Tropez, which is double in price compared to Port of Cannes.

The prices in Italy range between €285 – €1350 / m per year (€95 to €450 per ft).

The mooring fees in Croatia are substantially higher than in Greece. In Croatia, yacht berthing or mooring fees range between €435 – €1050 / m per year (€145 to €350 per ft.) for a high season contract.

Greece annual fees are between €225 – €525 / m per year (€75 to €175 per ft.).

Monaco is one of the most expensive destinations. A berth in Monaco costs about €1500/ m per year .

Check below the most expensive marina mooring fees in the following popular Mediterranean destinations for a 10 m boat . Some of them (Marina Capri, Port of Saint Tropez, Port Hercule, Ibiza Magna) are the most expensive marinas in Europe .

So, these are the marinas with the highest mooring fees for each country .

Mooring Fees in USA

In the USA, mooring and slip costs for regular docks vary between 12$ to 50$/ft per year. Popular locations such as Los Angeles, or Florida have higher yearly rates which start from 120$/ft and may reach up to 240$/ft. For transient mooring, the docking fees are not calculated based on the boat’s length and are 30$ on average.

Things to Consider When Picking a Mooring

When picking a mooring, there are different aspects you should take into account:

– the time of the year you want to go on holidays as prices vary accordingly

– the time of the day when your docking place is available based on the tide

– how much intimacy you want: a water mooring or anchorage enables you to enjoy the sea and the surroundings, on the other hand, a slip in a marina grants you access to many facilities

– each marina’s policy; some only allow you to dock if you pay a membership fee.

Types of Berths

Some of the basic terms you will hear in the nautical field are mooring, docking, anchorage and berth. They all refer to the same act of securing your boat in a fixed place, but let’s see the differences.

mooring costs

When you moor your boat, you can use an anchor to secure it against the seafloor or buoy. A mooring is a permanent place where you do this. This method allows you to keep your boat steady in one place but doesn’t enable you to access the land directly. To do this, you’ll need a dinghy.

Anchorages are places where boats may drop their anchors. Just like moorings, they don’t provide direct access to the land. but they don’t provide a permanent anchorage point either. Each boat uses its own anchor. Check out the best boat anchors .

Docking ensures direct access to the land. When you dock, you secure your boat to a fixed spot on the land. To dock, you need docking lines. The designated place where you secure your boat in a dock is a slip or berth. By analogy, docking a boat into a slip is like parking a car in a car parking.

Permanent mooring and transient mooring

If you book a docking place for the entire season, you get permanent mooring. If you book a berth per day, you get transient mooring. As you now know, there are different methods of keeping your boat steady in the water. With a little bit of practice, in no time you will be able to make the difference between mooring, docking and berthing and to maneuver your boat according to each scenario.

Berths are probably the best option if you want the maximum degree of safety and comfort. In a marina or harbour, you can find berths for any exigencies and people who are ready to assist you while mooring.

Advantages of Annual Berths

Annual berths mean that you pay an annual fee to dock your boat. The advantage is that you will pay 3 to 4 times less than you would if you rented a berth per day. Depending on the type of vacation you are planning, you might want to opt for an annual berth or not. If you plan on spending the whole time in one place, this is the best and cheapest option. Nonetheless, if you want to sail from place to place, the costs of turning back to the same docking place might be too high. In this case, transient mooring is the only choice.

Premium services

Premium services are available at different marinas. Some examples of such services are maintenance, repairs, fuel station, on-site cafés/restaurants, laundry service, Tv, Wi-Fi, wintering storage etc. If you opt for the latter, the marina will take care of your boat in the cold season, by pulling it out of the water, cleaning and storing it.

The more services are included in a marina’s ‘menu’, the higher its rates will be. However, docking at a well-provide marina might cover all your needs during your holiday

Buying a Berth

Yes, it is possible. If you want to make a berth yours, you can buy it. Not all marinas provide this opportunity, but many do. The prices vary of course based on the location of the marina and the services it provides. Buying a berth can tackle forever the problem of keeping your boat safe. Then again, this might only be an option if you like to spend a lot of time in the same area.

If you want to reduce your docking costs so that you can spend more time at sea, go in the off-season. In this period, mooring fees are up to 70% lower.

In case you own a catamaran, note that these boats may be even 20% more expensive when it comes to docking. This is due to their larger size.

Many marinas offer additional services except for the basic package: slip, water, electricity. Of course, all the additional facilities imply extra costs. In many marinas, you are also asked to pay a deposit. Also, it’s important to note that availability in the peak season is problematic especially in the Mediterranean. Therefore, you should book a berth in time to make sure your place is secured.

Docking and mooring fees are something you must definitely consider before buying a boat because together with it come more responsibilities. There are plenty other details to discuss regarding mooring costs. But it’s easier to contact us directly once you chose the location you want to sail to. Based on it, we will offer you customized advice.

A Guide to Marinas & Moorings in Monaco

There are only two ports in Monaco: the huge (and hugely glamorous) Port Hercule, and the charming Port Fontvieille. There are also some excellent marinas in French territory within a very short cruise of Monaco, which we’ve also included in this guide.

Book My Berth

Moorings & marinas

Port Hercule Monaco’s Port Hercule is one of the greatest superyacht marinas of the world. Used as a deep water port since Roman times, today the port sits nestled under the steep Monegasque cityscape of high-rises, grand hotels, and the cliff-top palace perched on the Rock of Monaco.

The port has 700 berths, of which 30 are visitor docks according to availability. Port Hercules has 110 berths accommodating yachts over 24m, with its largest berth able to accept a yacht up to 130m in length. Marina depths range from 5m to 40m, so all drafts can be accommodated.

Getting a berth in Monaco is rarely cheap or easy-with major events such as the glamorous Grand Prix in May and the Monaco Yacht Show in September making berths there fiercely contested and the berthing rates not for the faint-hearted. To be sure, getting a berth for the Monaco Grand Prix is one of the great yachting experiences on the planet, when the superyachts gather cheek-by-jowl along the edge of the racetrack, the F1 cars tearing past the assembled yachts crowded almost to sinking-point with cheering people.

Port Hercule is lined with restaurants and bars creating a vibrant atmosphere, while the boutiques, casinos, and Michelin-starred restaurants of Monte Carlo are only a short walk away. Also worth a look is the stunning Yacht Club de Monaco , which was designed by British architect Lord Norman Foster in the shape of a boat.

Port de Fontvieille The other port of Monaco, Port de Fontvieille , lies just around the headland and is much smaller than its famous sister, but this marina is also very beautiful and offers better shelter from easterly swells. Fontvieille marina, crowded with restaurants and overlooked by residents apartment buildings, has a real village feel rather than that of a working marina, and in fact, you’ll have to pop back around the corner to Port Hercules if you want yachting necessities such as fuel or a shipyard. Berths in Port de Fontvieille are reserved mainly for residents so visitor availability is limited.

Ports near Monaco

Port Hercule and Fontveille may be the only two ports in the tiny principality of Monaco, but if you sail just around the corner from Monaco into France in either direction you’ll find some excellent smaller marinas stretched along the steep coastline.

Menton The beautiful town of Menton offers two very good marinas right by the Italian border, and you’ll find berthing rates more competitive here than in most other ports along the Riviera. Both ports have restaurants, a lovely setting and a friendly atmosphere. Port de Menton Garavan is the newer and larger of the two marinas, with 770 berths, of which 170 are public. The marina can accommodate yachts up to 40m in length and 3m in draft. Port Municipal de Menton (also called Le Vieux Port), is the public port of Menton offering 596 berths, of which 100 are reserved for visitors. The port accommodates vessels up to 30m, with a maximum draft of 6m.

Cap d’Ail While it’s in French territory, Cap d’Ail Marina, Port de Plaisance de Cap d'Ail , is so close to Monaco that the only road access is actually through Monaco rather than France. This is a charming little deep water port catering for yachts up to 60 m as well as lots of small local boats. It’s a friendly, calm and convivial marina with less bustle and than neighbouring Monaco.

Beaulieu-sur-Mer The pretty town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer is only 5nm from Monaco in the direction of Nice , and has two marinas, the large and vibrant Port de Beaulieu and the small and picturesque Port de Fourmis . Port de Beaulieu caters for 750 vessels up to 25m in length and with a maximum draft of 5m. It has excellent facilities and a brilliant selection of restaurants and yachting businesses right in the port, creating a wonderful atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. Port de Fourmis is a small and very pretty marina sitting under some magnificent villas. Port des Fourmis has 260 berths for small vessels with a maximum length of 12m and a maximum draft of 1.5m.

Cap Ferrat Port Saint Jean Cap Ferrat has 581 moorings for yachts up to 30m in length and a maximum draft of 4m. While there are 205 public berths in this number, it can be difficult to get a berth in the busy summer months. Cap Ferrat is a very prestigious harbour in the shadow of some grandiose villas and has a charming pedestrianised area with upmarket shops and restaurants nearby.

Villefranche La Darse Marina : The spectacularly pretty deepwater bay at Villefranche has a small capacity marina which can accept yachts up to 34 m. There are 540 moorings with a maximum draught of 4m, and 5 superyacht berths. While it is generally difficult to find a berth in La Darse Marina in the summertime as the berths are privately owned, the bay also offers wonderful anchorage that is very sheltered in most conditions (with the exception of a strong southerly).

Summary There are plenty of boat berths in Monaco and in marinas along the coastline nearby, making this area an ideal place to stop and explore this gorgeous part of the French Riviera. With a glamorous address, stunning scenery and plenty of yachting facilities and infrastructure, Monaco is a wonderful destination on your yachting holiday. Just remember to book early!

8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In

Yacht Clubs and Marinas

FoodfindsAsia.com | 8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In | Filipinos’ history as a maritime people date back to prehistoric times. In fact, the Philippines’ basic sociopolitical unit today, the barangay, traces its etymological origins to the balangay , the ancient outrigger boats that were used by precolonial Filipino communities to explore and conquer islands this side of the Pacific. As a people belonging to a seafaring culture, it’s no wonder that modern Filipinos are taking a retrospective look at their glorious past as Austronesian mariners and are developing a renewed love for the ocean and marinas as present-day yachtsmen.

Today, Philippine marinas look to accommodate more and more yachts and other pleasure watercrafts as the years go by. In 2017, an ASEAN Briefing op-ed piece named the Philippines as a country with high potential in yacht industry growth. The natural beauty of the Philippine islands and its fantastic bays, combined with a growing interest in leisurely sea travel, can explain the spike in yachting activities throughout the country.

Are you part of the demographic that’s become enamored of the yachting lifestyle? Do you want to know where in the country you can berth your watercraft? Leading sailboat and motorboat authority Europa Yachts is happy to enter the conversation, and recommends the following locations for discovering the Philippines through yachting. Here is a short list of clubs and marinas in the country, organized by island region.

Manila Yacht Club and Marina, Manila, Metro Manila

Established in 1927, the Manila Yacht Club and Marina is one of the oldest yacht clubs in all of Asia, and is nestled in the scenic Manila Bay. It is also near other well-known landmarks in the city, such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the headquarters of the Philippine Navy, and the US Embassy. Facilities in the marina include a launching ramp and a fueling center, and the club itself is host to a restaurant and gorgeous function rooms. The Manila Yacht Club only welcomes visitors who arrive by boat, and it charges an initial security deposit of USD 750 upon arrival. Club membership is mandatory for medium and long-term mooring of boats.

Subic Bay Yacht Club, Zambales

The Subic Bay Yacht Club, which was founded in 1998, upholds itself as the country’s premier yacht club. It operates in the deepest bay in the country, and can host vessels well beyond 50 meters in length. Already benefitting from the innate beauty of the Zambales mountains surrounding it, the club hosts a number of other attractions, including its luxury accommodations, swimming pools, and its own movie theater, bowling alley, and nightclub. Those who venture outside of the club’s premises can also shop for well-priced imported goods at the Subic Freeport Zone, engage in water sports , or sign up for diving excursions.

Punta Fuego Yacht Club, Batangas

Peaceful Punta Fuego is a mecca for those who love the sport of sailing. As per its official website, the Punta Fuego Yacht Club aims to serve “a dynamic and vibrant community of boat enthusiasts and yacht owners.” This it does by playing host to a diverse population of watercrafts, from large catamarans and mono-hull yachts to small boats. Non-members of the club may use the berths for up to 3 weeks, and can refuel at the marina’s fueling station. The yacht club offers other amenities such as locker rooms, shower rooms, Internet facilities, a chart room, and a restaurant called Barracuda Bar, which serves delicious fares. Outside of the yachting crowd, Punta Fuego Yacht Club also caters to those wishing to celebrate weddings, conferences, and corporate events in their opulent quarters.

Puerto Galera Yacht Club, Oriental Mindoro

Further south, yachtsmen may moor at the Puerto Galera Yacht Club in Oriental Mindoro, an island location that’s home to tourist attractions like the Sabang Wreck dive site, lively beachfront resorts, and the Malasimbo Music Festival. Puerto Galera Yacht Club has been in operation for almost thirty years and lends services such as refueling provisions and yacht repairs from its marina. Boat owners also enjoy optimal convenience if mooring here, as they can also shop for spare parts in the nearby Batangas port.

Busuanga Yacht Club, Puerta del Sol Bay Marina, Palawan

Beautiful Palawan is a bucket-list destination for many, especially those who dream of cruising its crystalline waters. Accommodating the yachting community in this island province is the Busuanga Yacht Club, which promises secure mooring amidst breathtaking white-sand beaches. Here, each vessel will benefit from a typhoon-safe harbor, easy refueling, and direct access to transportation hubs like the New Busuanga Airport. Adjoining this marina is the Puerta del Sol Bay Resort, which offers luxurious accommodations to visitors. When not atop the deck of a boat, travelers can also explore the lagoons and freshwater lakes of Coron, go shipwreck diving, or relax in the hot springs of Maquinit.

Iloilo Sailing Club, Arevelo, Iloilo City, Iloilo

Iloilo Province is home to some of the country’s most beautiful old-world architecture, a flourishing ecotourism industry, and delectably fresh seafood cuisine. What will round off an unforgettable visit to Iloilo, however, is an excursion to the Iloilo Sailing Club on a leisure watercraft. The club accepts visitors and encourages membership in the case of medium and long-stay mooring. It also hosts a number of amenities and activities, including a dinghy storage, a beach bar and restaurant, and classes for those who want to learn about sailing. In recent months, the Iloilo Sailing Club has also been a convenient meet-up point for big maritime events, such as the Iloilo-Guimaras Paraw Regatta and the Seafarers’ Job Fair.

Cebu Yacht Club, Mactan Island, Cebu

The historic Mactan Island in Cebu was the site of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan’s arrival in the Philippines. Now known as a commercial hub that hosts a prolific furniture and musical instruments industries, Mactan is also the location of the Cebu Yacht Club, an institution that is beloved by the locals. Aside from being an ideal spot to restock on much-needed fuel and supplies, the Cebu Yacht Club is also a trusted club to commission for boat repairs. There’s a good vibe in this club for everybody, as it sports both luxury accommodations and a waterfront strip of restaurants that laid-back diners can frequent. MINDANAO

Holiday Oceanview Marina, Samal Island, Davao del Norte

The Holiday Oceanview Marina is a major attraction of Samal Island in Davao del Norte Province, one that welcomes Filipino and foreign yachtsmen alike to moor within its premises. The space is quite roomy, in fact, with 56 berths that can fit vessels up to 15 meters in length. The club also has a boat ramp that can accommodate boats up to 18 meters in length. The well-guarded and weather-safe marina is a gateway to some of Mindanao’s finest attractions, such as the Pearl Farm, Hagimit Falls, and Giant Clam Sanctuary.

There’s no better way to discover the Philippines from end to end than getting onboard a seaworthy vessel and going on a long cruise, with stops in some of the most beautiful places in the country. Find a safe harbor in any of these major clubs and marinas, and participate in the renaissance of sailing in the Philippines.

Businessman allegedly threatens to ‘ruin’ dock worker, ‘drops his pants’ in heated dispute over yacht parking.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

A California philanthropist allegedly threatened to kill a dock worker during a heated argument from his multimillion-dollar yacht, before dropping his pants and making several threatening gestures to the employee.

Ajay Thakore, a local entrepreneur in the San Diego area, attempted to dock his Lamborghini yacht at the private Marriot Marquis Marina to pick up one of his employees but was stopped by worker Joseph Holt on Sunday.

“I told him respectfully that he couldn’t be there, and I honestly was hoping to have a conversation with him about his cool boat,” Holt told CBS8. “But yeah, it completely went the other way.”

Thakore, who goes by his social media name, Ace Rogers, was riding on his rare $4.5 million Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 yacht at the time of the daytime dispute.

Marina worker Joseph Holt flips the bird to yacht owner Ajay Thakore on March 10, 2024 in San Diego.

Holt claimed Thakore became hostile as soon as he was told off.

“It escalated immediately. It was 0 to 100 immediately,” the 21-year-old worker added.

Thakore, the CEO of medical advertising firm Doctor Multimedia, allegedly began to threaten Holt’s life as the luxury speedboat drove away from the docks.

“I will kill you, you know I will kill you, I will kill,” Thakore repeatedly yells, according to the video posted to YouTube.

Besides threatening to take Holt’s life, Thakore claimed to have the power to get the dock worker fired, ripping on the type of job he had.

“I’m a minimum wage worker, he was commenting on that, on my status just because of my job,” Holt said. “He was saying I’m nobody, I’m nothing, I work a silly job.”

Thakore allegedly threatened to kill the 21-year-old dock hand after the two got into a heated argument at the private dock.

“He said that he knows people, he has connections, he can change my life and ruin it,” he added.

During the heated discussion, Thakore allegedly pulled out his wallet and began throwing $100 bills at Holt and into the water, according to the outlet.

Holt said he tried to control himself during the incident and only gave Thakore the middle finger.

“I really didn’t know how to process it. I really was trying to restrain myself from getting fired from my job or stepping out of line. The only thing I did was give him the bird,” he said.

Holt said he tried his best to control himself during the incident and only gave Thakore the middle finger.

The dock hand blasted Thakore for his actions, especially in a public setting where he stripped nude and showed himself off.

“He had dropped his pants and started to make gestures to everybody watching and me. You can’t act that way in public. It’s just not OK. Especially threatening my life, at the very least. There were women and children there. That’s the most important part,” Holt said.

Thakore claims his outburst started because of a misunderstanding and was sorry for the people who saw it.

“The interaction that occurred yesterday was regrettable. What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange,” Thakore’s public relations team said in a statement, obtained by KFMB.

Port of San Diego Harbor Police were called to the Seaforth Boat rental dock for “a possible intoxicated vessel operator” but arrived at the marina 10 minutes after Thakore and his boat had left.

As the boat drove off, Thakore allegedly dropped his pants to the floor and showed himself off.

The employee who attempted to board the extravagant boat defended his boss’s actions, saying Holt was hostile toward Thakore, and the businessman was only defending his team.

“As I went to kindly step onto the Yacht, I was impeded by two members that work for Seaforth Boat Rental,” Thakore’s employee Jason said on a post to the CEO’s Instagram account.

Jason said he was told to “stand back” the first time he went to step on the boat, and claimed he was forearmed during his second attempt to board the yacht.

“They physically got in my way, the situation became fairly tense, there was a lot of screaming back and forth, extremely confrontational, I didn’t fully understand protocol, as I was going to step onto the boat.”

“As all of this happened, my boss flipped and he’s very protective of me, his fiancée, of his employees.” Jason added. “It was a confusing situation that became very tense and very confrontational.”

Thakore claims his outburst started because of a misunderstanding and he was only defending his own employee.

Thakore captioned the post saying “there are two sides to every story and it’s easy to paint a picture with edited video clips from cell phones.”

“My employee Jason was being restricted, restrained, and threatened while trying to board my yacht. As a leader, I defend my own fiercely with everything I have, and I will never apologize for that,” the caption read.

68 new Monegasque citizens in 2023

Reception new monegasques-compressed

On Thursday, around thirty “new Monegasques” were welcomed at Monaco Town Hall.

The traditional reception is organised by the municipality in honour of people who have acquired Monegasque nationality over the previous year, either by law or by Sovereign Order.

In the Town Hall wedding room, Camille Svara, acting mayor in the absence of Georges Marsan, welcomed  the guests “to the great Monegasque family,”   before presenting them with symbolic gifts, including a reproduction of the original document of the Monegasque national anthem, written in 1931 by Monegasque poet Louis Notari. Members of the Town Council were also present, and the reception concluded with the anthem, performed by the Rainier III Academy Children’s Choir.

This brings the total number of Monegasque nationals registered on 31 December 2023 to 9,790. 67% of them obtained Monegasque nationality by descent, 19% by marriage and 14% were naturalised by Sovereign Order.

California yacht owner threatens to kill dock worker in vicious showdown, cali yacht owner threatens to kill dock worker drops pants for rude salute, 95 3/13/2024 8:09 am pt.

A California yacht owner's vicious beef with a dock worker has reached death-threat levels -- and their exchange was caught on camera and included a nude, and very rude, gesture!

Check out the clip ... it all unfolds when San Diego entrepreneur Ajay Thakore swings by the swanky Marriott Marquis Marina in his rare $4.5M Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63 yacht to pick up one of his employees -- but things boil over when dock worker Joseph Holt tells him he can't be there.

Thakore, the CEO of medical advertising firm Doctor Multimedia, flips out on Holt big time ... and starts spewing threats like, "I will kill you, you know I will kill you, I will kill."

And it doesn't stop there -- as Thakore's pulling out of the harbor, he drops trou to make a full frontal salute in Holt's direction. Stay classy, San Diego!

Holt's only retaliation was flipping the bird, and he later told CBS8 that was all he could do to keep his cool and avoid escalating the situation.

Holt says parts of the altercation were not captured on camera, and he adds ... Thakore not only threatened to kill him, but also claimed to have connections who could totally mess up his life.

Holt also says Thakore pulled out $100 bills and tossed them at him, even chucking some in the water.

BTW, Thakore's done some backpedaling since the ugly exchange -- he now says, "The interaction that occurred yesterday was regrettable. What started as a minor misunderstanding escalated into an argument, and I apologize for my actions and to those who witnessed the unfortunate exchange."

Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.

FWIW ... One of Thakore’s employees claims the whole thing began because other dock workers blocked him from boarding the yacht.

Oh, and if that fancy Lambo yacht looks familiar -- it's the same one Chuck Liddell recently tumbled off just last month. Now it's famous AND infamous!
