Relaxing sightseeing on the riverboat was enjoyable and interesting . The narrator furnished some very unique trivia about the town and the business of Frankenmuth.
Great experience. The Belle is a family run business. The narrated tour was well worth the inexpensive tour. The captain was very informative and boat was very clean. Sons both work on the boat too. They offer snacks and beverages during the aprox 1 hr tour
What a pleasant introduction to our trip to Frankenmuth, Michigan. The weather for our riverboat cruise was picture perfect and the Captain and his crew treated us to a spectacular look at the Cass River. We were told the history of the vessel, which was amazing in its' self, and a delightful commentary of the surrounding history of the people and wildlife in the area.It was an outstanding trip down the river and back and only wished it had been longer. What an asset to all the other offerings that are available in Frankenmuth. Would recommend this journey to all visitors.
Spent a few nights in Frankenmouth so we decided to do the river cruise and we were glad we did. Very informative commentary during the entire trip and at a very reasonable cost, even the refreshments on board were low cost (only $1.00 for pop or water). The only thing that would have made it better would be to have beer available for sale.
We had a great time! The crew was most helpful and we were treated as honored guests. The narration was most interesting. It was a most enjoyable cruise. And it was not expensive.
If you want to know more about Frankenmuth's history, and enjoy a lovely 1 hour floating tour of Frankenmuth at the River's edge.. I never knew so much about that lovely bavarian town.. I lived in Michigan for 63 years.. and by taking this ride with a stimulating, interesting live tour of Frankenmuth's History.. the places where the town began.. It was restful and yet fun and interesting to be part of a group of people all who are enjoying a live tour of the history of Frankenmuth and you see the town as it glides by.. the tour guide is telling you what you are seeing and more.. The ducks and geese swam about the double deck paddle boat that had seen service on other rivers in the south.. she is a true paddle boat.. her power comes from paddles in the rear of the ship.. It is so pretty and historically correct.. she can blow her baritone whistle as she departs and arrives back to port.. It is a beautiful working historical ship that is run by the friendly and highly experienced captain, the tour guide, a real Captain and a knowledgeable deck hand... We all enjoyed this trip that was so much to learn about the ship and Frankenmuth; a lovely day and the friendly tour guide who gave a wonderful description of the ship and of Frankenmuth..so you could feel part of a happy group of people who enjoyed the whole trip with popcorn, and soft drinks available for the people and the popcorn could be shared with the lively ducks and geese who came out to greet the enthusiastic paddle boat trippers.. Thank you, Captain and Crew for the great time we shared aboard the wonderful Bavarian Belle Riverboat. We were all glad we had made that lovely trip.. The whole family was invigorated and felt we had gone back in time and saw Frankenmuth in her early formative years..as well as today as she seeks to entertain and share her history in this lovely ole paddle boat.

The boat ride was extremely pleasant and informative. Staff was helpful and the boat was impeccable. Would recommend to any visitors coming to Frankenmuth.
We really enjoyed this tour of the Cass River. The view is beautiful and my family and I learned a lot about the history of the area, the river and the boat itself. The family that runs this business does a great job of educating in an interesting manner. You can't beat the price- $12!
This is the coolest thing! Strongly encourage you to try it. It is a family that owns the ship, and the gentleman and his two sons take turns being the ships captain. Excellent commentary during a lovely ride.
Nice, family owned boat ride away from the busyness of Frankenmuth. Ride provides a historical perspective on the Cass river and the area. Well worth the $12 cost (for adults, prices change for kids)
You're in Frankenmuth, you see the little Cass River, and then you see this paddlewheel riverboat. You wonder how in the heck it can possibly float on that little river and get under that bridge. But it does. And it is actually a pretty fun little trip. You don't go very far, but the banter of the family that runs the boat makes it pretty enjoyable. Lots of history of the area and some scenery that you might not otherwise see. The family that runs the boat is seriously into photography and wildlife and they make a sincere effort to point out mink and other animals that you might not normally see. The story of how they got the boat up to Frankenmuth and into the river is worth the price of admission. I found it to be a leisurely and enjoyable hour during my visit there in June.
Friendly and informative crew....a good value.....a gentle boat ride worth the $. Recommend for kids and family.
Excellent way to spend an hour in Frankenmuth. Very knowledgeable captain shares many interesting facts of the area during the pleasant tour. I would highly recommend this tour for the whole family.
What a peaceful and informative way to end a day in the Bavarian village of Frankenmuth. We took the 3:30 pm cruise up and down Cass River. Didn't even know that was the name of the river. Jene, the owner, was very informative as he told us stories and history along the way. He pointed out flora and turtles and told us of other sightings. Little kids loved tossing popcorn ($2 per bag) into the water for the ducks. It was well worth the expense of $12 per adult. Cash or check only! No credit cards or presumably debit cards. Enjoy the time.
Great adventure and worth every cent. A detailed history of Frankenmuth and the Cass River.
A great way to break away from the kitsch and commercialism of Frankenmuth - and learn about the area, its history and its natural side. The boat ride lasts an hour and includes an engaging narration by the lead captain and patriarch of the family that owns and runs the boat company. Kids can roam around and everyone can feed the ducks. Handicap accessible too! And thankfully there are bathrooms on board.
