Great boat charter

Superb service and a very swift organisation top rent a Fairline Targa 53 boat from Sanremo for a trip to Cap de Ferrat for 11 people. The boat, the captain, and host were superb. Thank you Dario and Roberto.

A boat trip has become a regular part of vacations these days and we have taken a number of private charters - happy to say Dario didn’t let us down! We managed all the details with Dario directly from the hotel poolside ( he did offer to visit too) and we booked a half-day (4 hour) charter three days ahead. We were offered a range of boat options ( and obviously price ranges) and opted for a mid range boat that could accommodate 4 adults with ease. We checked on morning for weather and met Dario at the local harbour Formalities out of the way ( cash preferred but takes credit cards) we agreed trip from San Remo to Monaco with time ashore combined with tour of the Riviera coastline. Dario is a great captain and if we are back in San Remo , another trip would definitely be on the agenda. If booking remember that a charter doesn’t always include fuel - make sure are clear at time of booking Thank you Dario for a great trip

Do I need a licence for a boat rental in French Riviera on Sailo?

No, you do not need a license to rent a boat on Sailo as long as you are renting a boat with a captain included. There are two types of boat rentals and yacht charters available on our website: bareboat and captained charters. If you rent a bareboat yacht, then your charter comes without any crew, and you or someone in your group will need a license. The boat owner will require you to upload the boating resume or license of the person who will drive the boat. Most of our boat owners might also like to test your boating skills before you take your bareboat charter out on the water. When you charter a yacht with a captain included or add the captain and/or crew as an extra to your sailing adventure, then a certified skipper will be provided.
