Everything That’s Leaked About Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 4 Reunion Recap

The Below Deck franchise on Bravo has launched many successful spin-offs since it’s inception in 2013. One of these spin-offs is Below Deck Sailing Yacht , which has just finished airing Season 4 . In this series, Captain Glenn Shephard faithfully leads his crew each season onboard the Parsifal III sailing yacht. Since Season 2, Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher , First Officer Gary King , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae have joined Captain Glenn for filming.

These three yachties have now become the faces of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Their tightly-knit friendship and playful banter have always made for great television. However, Season 4 was rough on this faithful trio. During the Season 4 reunion, it became clear that some of these friendships were fractured beyond repair.

Here’s a quick recap to help break this down: Daisy and Gary’s long-standing flirtation came to a head. This was due to Gary’s “casual” leaking of his and Daisy’s physical encounter(s) in between Seasons 3 and 4. This news came as a shock to Colin, as he and Daisy were entering into a boatmance when this revelation struck.

During the reunion, a since broken-up Daisy and Colin threw stones at each other, each blaming a lack of trust as the cause. The two are no longer close. Gary is still friends with both of his coworkers, however.

Currently, Below Deck fans have their eyes open wide for signs of Season 5’s filming. Images of a crew alongside the Parsifal III have been taken (and shared). Other fans have undergone deep dives on social media to unearth possible new cast members. With that in mind, here is everything that’s been leaked about Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5.

The Filming Location

Spotted in Ibiza by u/Take_Me_To_Ibiza in belowdeck

Last month, a fan caught sight of the Parsifal III docked in Ibiza. Images of this infamous vessel were immediately shared over on the Below Deck subreddit . A film crew can even be seen onboard capturing footage. Shortly after this was shared, another fan on a cruise in Ibiza spotted the Parsifal III with a group of charter guests off of the coast of an Ibizan village.

With these two sightings in mind, the Balearic Islands are likely Season 5’s location.

Only Two Returning Cast Members Have Been Spotted

Spotted filming in Ibiza! by u/Successful-Will-95 in belowdeck

While we can safely assume that Captain Glenn will return for Season 5, the other cast members have held a large question mark post Season 4’s drama. That said, several days after the Parsifal III’s spotting, fans caught sight of a new cast eating dinner in an Ibizan town, Dalt Vila. Within the image, Gary and Daisy are clearly seen. Colin is noticeably absent.

If there are any Colin stans reading this, hopeful that Colin is just resting onboard and not at this dinner, I have bad news. Online, Colin is sharing videos on his YouTube Channel, Parlay Revival . These videos show that Colin is currently sailing across the Pacific Ocean on his Catamaran. As the Balearic Islands are connected to the Atlantic Ocean, Colin’s return for Season 5 is unlikely.

Regarding the other Season 4 cast mates, the images making the rounds do not feature any of their faces. However, Deckhand Alex Propson actually announced during the reunion that he will be appearing on another hit Bravo show. Alex is joining the cast of Winter House Season 3.

Based on the leaked images, it appears that Daisy and Gary will be the only returning faces from Season 4. The fans detectives within the same subreddit, however, have unearthed two of the possible new crew’s identities, alleging that one of the blondes appears to be Danni Warren . Side note, Danni’s Instagram recently followed Gary.

NO, Danni, RUN.

Danni also follows Chef Cloyce Martin , whose recent joins are people currently located in Ibiza. If Chef Cloyce is indeed appearing in Season 5, he will have big shoes to fill from the Season 4 Chef, Ileisha Dell . To note, while these 2 new crew members are not verified, their likeness does resemble those within the leaked image.

A Housewife Will Charter The Parsifal III

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tiffany Moon, MD (@tiffanymoonmd)

Real Housewives of Dallas star Tiffany Moon has posted images of herself onboard the Parsifal III in Ibiza in recent weeks. In her many shared posts of gourmet food, beachy tablescapes, and stunning sunsets, fans are weighing in to ask if she was indeed there for filming. While Tiffany is not responding to these specific inquiries, her timeline of posting coincides with that of the current filming schedule taking place. Therefore, it stands to reason that Tiffany will likely make an appearance in Season 5.

Season 5’s Premiere Date – An Educated Guess

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Below Deck (@belowdeckbravo)

Fans of this series will likely be waiting awhile for Captain Glenn’s latest adventures to broadcast. If keeping to its typical schedule, Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 will begin to air sometime around February – April of 2024.

That’s a long time to wait for answers, but wait we will.

This Key Thing Separates ‘Below Deck’s Best Spin-Off From the Franchise

Not everyone has what it takes to be a yachtie.

The Big Picture

  • Below Deck Sailing Yacht offers a unique twist with literal sails, setting it apart from other franchise spin-offs.
  • Captain Glenn's leadership on Parsifal III brings stability and success to the crew, creating must-watch television.
  • Maintaining the same core crew from start to finish allows for deeper storytelling and dramatic moments to unfold.

Since its debut in 2013, Below Deck has introduced audiences to the world of yachting through the eyes of the people who run it. With four spin-offs to its name, viewers have been taken all over the world while watching the drama that goes on. From hook-ups to firings with emotional breakdowns in between, each franchise has had the same formula, but with a different set of yachties to make them unique . One of the best and most under-appreciated of the spin-offs is Below Deck Sailing Yacht . After a first season with some growing pains, Below Deck Sailing Yacht has raised the sails and has sailed into glory.

Sailing the stunning seas of the Mediterranean, Below Deck Sailing Yacht is special in the Below Deck family. Following the trials and tribulations of a singular ship, the Parsifal III, Below Deck Sailing Yacht takes all the great things from the flagship franchise and adds the unique addition of literal sails . Below Deck Sailing Yacht has shown the dangers of working on a vessel of this type. Unlike the other series, sailing Parsifall III has a much higher level of risk. No other franchise has an additional mechanic for fans to witness! Following a malfunction, Parsifal III not only crashed into the dock once, but twice ! Thankfully, Parsifall III only suffered from some cosmetic injuries , but the pure terror it caused raised heart rates to the max for the crew and fans alike.

But Parsifall III is old faithful. Whether experiencing turbulence from the seas or the charter guests, Below Deck Sailing Yacht has an extra bit of comfort thanks to its extraordinary crew. With the brilliant Captain Glenn Shephard at the helm, Below Deck Sailing Yacht has four seasons under its belt with a stable cast that has remained must-watch television.

Follows the crew of a multi million dollar charter boat in the Caribbean.

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Is a Tale of Two Crews

The show that premiered on Bravo on February 3, 2020, is not the show that followed during Seasons 2, 3, and 4. With the sole exception of Below Deck Adventure , every Below Deck spin-off debuted with a familiar face from another franchise . For Season 1, Below Deck Sailing Yacht was joined by Below Deck Mediterranean alum Chef Adam Glick . Following his two-season tenure under the overly micromanaging, watchful eye of Captain Sandy Yawn , Chef Adam returned to the Med to join Captain Glenn's crew. For those familiar with his work on the franchise, Chef Adam did have some run-ins with certain members of the team, predominantly Chief Stewardess Hannah Ferrier . When he came to Parsifal III, his opinions on Chief Stews drastically changed as he became entangled in a rocky relationship with Chief Stew Jenna MacGillivray . Jenna was a fine Chief Stew but quickly became unbearable once she fell in love. It's one thing to be messy on Below Deck , but Jenna took it to a whole new level.

For Season 1, it was quite clear that the man in charge of the ship knew all the ins and outs. Captain Glenn Shephard has had a storied career with Parsifal III; with over a decade of service on the ship and two decades behind the wheel in general, Captain Glenn is one of the kindest captains in the franchise , leading his teams to great success . Unlike any of the other captains in the franchise, he has to bunk with the rest of the crew. As the sole cast member to remain on Parsifall III since Season 1, he doesn't steal focus in hopes of being the star like a certain other captain in the Med does. Season 1 had some growing pains. And thus, when Parsifal III returned for Season 2, Captain Glenn cleaned ship and brought in an entirely new crew. And as they say, the rest is history.

'Below Deck Sailing Yacht's Primary Trio Is the Backbone of the Show

Since Season 2, the franchise has been led by the trio of Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher , First Officer Gary King , and Chief Engineer Colin MacRae . The trio has had a roller-coaster of a journey together, from friendships to a devastating love triangle, but their relationship has kept the spin-off special. Captain Glenn maintaining his main three has aided greatly to the longevity of the show and its storytelling. Below Deck Sailing Yacht is the only series in the franchise to maintain the heads of department season after season, even with Gary's controversy that was revealed last summer in Rolling Stone .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht is the only franchise to highlight the position of Chief Engineer. Because of the importance of this position on this type of vessel, Colin MacRae became an instant standout. Anything mechanical that goes on in the boat is under the watchful eye of Colin. That includes plumbing, so when the crew toilets get clogged, Colin is there to do the dirty work. The only person Colin can be compared to is his predecessor from Season 1, Byron Hissey . Colin is a workhorse, but he is a level-headed person who's down for fun, as long as his morals aren't interrupted. As one of the hardest working individuals on Parsifal III, Colin goes above and beyond. He even saved the charter season during Season 4 when the engine didn't work by fixing it on the fly.

When it comes to Chief Stews, Daisy Kelliher had a standard to uphold. With Kate and Hannah as the gold standard in the Below Deck Cinematic Universe , she was a breath of fresh air following the departure of Jenna. Daisy has always provided professionalism towards the charter guests , even if the guests tested her every last nerve. She has a fun side during the crew nights out, but when it comes to work, she's all business — and she treats her team with an immense amount of respect. Throughout her tenure on Parsifall III, she has only lost a single stewardess, which was at Gabriela Barragán 's own volition. Daisy has had a solid relationship with each of her chefs, only getting stronger as the seasons went on.

'Below Deck's Chef Anthony Is Season 11's Biggest Success

And then there's Gary King. Serving as the First Officer, he was the head of exterior with a strong work ethic and leadership. Similar to Colin, the First Officer is a rarely seen position in any of the franchises. Gary would be above in rank to the bosuns of the other shows. Only Eddie Lucas from Below Deck and Bryan Kattenburg from Season 1 of Below Deck Med have been promoted to this position. While it is a familiar position on a yacht, showcasing Gary in this slot displays the importance of the role on this specific vessel — the First Officer is literally second in command behind Captain Glenn, and some fans may be scratching their heads as to why this guy has this much control.

Gary yields a bit more power compared to the bosuns , and thus, it's displayed a tale of two Garys. "Work Gary" displays the difficulty of working on a sailing yacht. He is devoted to his work and does not take any nonsense as a manager. "Play Gary's" only goal was to be the lady's man on board and get drunk to the point he couldn't take accountability for his actions. For fans of the Below Deck shows, this is nothing out of the ordinary. While some fans don't quite understand the appeal of him, the ladies on board can never get enough of Gary King.

Parcifal III Maintaining the Same Crew From Start to Finish Allows More Stories To Be Told

Each season, the colorful crew of supplementary yachties helps to bring the drama , especially when Gary engages in love triangles with the stewardesses during Seasons 2 and 3. To be fair, even when he was pursuing Daisy in Season 4 because he couldn't have her, he still found love with the interior. By far, the biggest non-Gary scandal to rock the boat was the aftermath of the romance between Season 2's 2nd Stew Dani Soares and Deckhand Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux . Despite a minor age gap, the duo were romantically intertwined. It was a really cute boatmance, but when it was revealed that Dani was pregnant and Jean-Luc was the father , all hell broke loose, which made for an unforgettable reunion.

Speaking of drama, a love triangle brewed between Daisy, Gary, and Colin that seeped off the show. During the first two seasons together, their relationship was quite platonic. Gary and Daisy did flirt when the liquor was flowing, but what Below Deck Sailing Yacht tracked was the evolution of three individuals. No other Below Deck series has taken as much time to watch a genuine friendship blossom since Chef Ben Robinson and Kate Chastain . The trio all entered the program at the same time, but once they were all single and ready to mingle, everything changed. Daisy, who had maintained a strong bond with both men, began to catch feelings for a now single Colin all while Gary was pursuing Junior Stew Mads Herrera .

Of course, Gary always desires to be the center of attention, so he got wrapped up in the middle and helped to jeopardize all of their friendships. Daisy wasn't quite in the clear as it was leaked that she and Gary hooked up off-season. The drama overflowed into the reunion and even caused tension at BravoCon 2023, where Gary was uninvited to due to his alleged sexual misconduct. Where the trio stands is a bit up in the air; fans have rooted for them to work on their relationship, so they can come back stronger for a fifth season. No other Below Deck spin-off has maintained a core cast, which is better because fans can follow along the journey and growth. There is an inherent investment in a singular group of friends that no other Below Deck series displays.

Aside from a great crew, memorable moments, and nonstop drama, Below Deck Sailing Yacht is unique in the fact that, aside from the motor yacht experience, viewers and guests alike get to literally set sail. While sailing can be quite difficult to stomach, the beauty of seeing the sails up in their glory makes these charters a dream to watch. Below Deck Sailing Yacht is truly a beautiful and unique show. With all its success thus far, Season 5 will surely continue to prove that Below Deck Sailing Yacht is the best spin-off in the Below Deck universe.

All seasons of Below Deck Sailing Yacht are available to stream on Peacock in the U.S.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Spoilers: Gary Drops Bombshell About Daisy!

  • 0 Pinterest

Below Deck Sailing Yacht spoilers reveal a love triangle shocker. And in a new mid-season trailer, Gary King gave an update on his relationship with Daisy Kelliher . But Daisy also clapped back at Gary for his response to her hookup with Colin MacRae.

Find out what King shared about a scenario no one could have predicted with regard to Kelliher. And learn how Daisy challenged him. Get all the details below.

Below Deck Spoilers – Daisy Claps Back At Gary King!

Sorry, Gary. But spilling the tea on a woman you supposedly love counts as one of those unforgivable actions. And when King drops a bombshell about Kelliher in a Below Deck mid-season trailer, Daisy lashes out. But the spoilers also show Gary seemingly not realizing that the cameras filmed him, according to Us .

Below Deck

Bravo’s mid-season trailer for Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans also shows King spilling news about his relationship with Kelliher in between filming seasons three and four. But he does so only after Daisy claps back at him for seeming jealous about her hookup with Colin MacRae. “You f—king could have had me a million times over,” claimed Kelliher about their season three canoodling in a hot tub.

And Daisy added that Gary didn’t seem to want her then. But after he learned about her hookup with Colin, King changed his mind. “Now you can’t have me,” added Kelliher. “And now you f—king want me?” But then the sneak peek shows Gary dropping his bombshell.

Below Deck Spoilers – Gary King Drops Love Bombshell!

Oops. When the camera’s away, the crew will play, according to Gary’s unofficial rule book. Because he thought the cameras had stopped filming, King mentioned his hookup with Daisy. And the Below Deck star gushed, “Having sex with you was f—king amazing.” But Daisy tried to stop him when she noticed cameras filming.

However, the Below Deck teaser shows Colin’s shock at learning that the two hooked up. And he confesses that he did notice “the chemistry that they have and the way they look at each other.” But Colin admits that he thought the two had developed a friendship rather than an affair.

And that leaves Daisy angry at getting caught in a love triangle. So Kelliher lashes out at both Colin and Gary for taking up space “in my head. Stop f—king with my head,” she says in the teaser. “I just want you both out of my f—king head.” However, Gary claimed that he “always had a soft spot for Daisy.”

And King went into detail about his affection for her during a Below Deck reunion. “But I love Daisy. I love her as a person, I love her personality,” he added. “And I think she is a superstar and gorgeous at that.” However, Kelliher argued that she felt she became a “trophy prize” for Gary and Colin. “But [the way they acted felt a] bit like an ego thing going on between the two of them,” noted Daisy.

One Crew Member Was Fired and Another Left During an Explosive Below Deck: "Not Acceptable”

The Aussie captain, who joined the series for Season 11 after appearing on Below Deck Adventure , let (SPOILER) Jared Woodin go following a series of mistakes as well a conflict with deckhand Kyle Stillie .

Who did Jared Woodin get fired on Below Deck Season 11, Episode 7?

As soon as Season 11 began, Captain Kerry recognized that Jared wasn't cut out to be the Bosun of a mega yacht. After giving Jared a few charters to see if he could improve during dockings and with his communication, Kerry decided to fire the Connecticut native.

Captain Kerry told Jared, "The way that you're treating these guys is not acceptable, and we've had discussions, and I've tried to guide you, I've shown you compassion. But, you've got sh-t going on, mate. You're your own worst enemy right now. You need to depart the vessel."

How Jared Woodin Reacted to Getting Fired

Once Kerry fired Jared, the dad of one seemed surprised. "I'm getting the boot?" Jared asked, and Kerry confirmed that was the case. "Really?"

Kerry noted that Jared did "have a lot going for [him]," but that  St. David  wasn't the right place for him.

"Take this time and work on yourself," Kerry said. "Me keeping you here is a disservice to you."

Jared ultimately agreed with that assessment in an interview on the episode.

"I thought I was in a good headspace coming in to this, [but] I'm really not. And, as much as I would like to be, I'm just lying to myself," he said. "Although the situation sucks, I actually really do feel a little bit lighter."

Why did cat baugh leave on below deck season 11.

Jared wasn't the only crew member who left St. David on Season 11, Episode 7. After expressing how it was hard for her to find her place amongst the rest of the yachties, stew Cat Baugh received a troubling phone call from a friend named Megan when she was in her cabin.

"I'm sorry, I know you can't talk, but she's not answering, and no one else is awake right now," Cat's friend said on the phone. "Do you have, like, a couple seconds? I'm freaking the f-ck out."

Cat didn't reveal what exactly the phone call was about, but she recognized that she needed to get back home.

"So, I got a call from my friend, Megan," Cat explained in an interview on the episode. "This is a situation I really can't talk about, but my friends are my family, so it feels really sh-tty not being able to be there for her."

Cat Baugh Hugs Captain Kerry as she leaves the yacht

After the charter guests arrived, Cat talked to her boss, Fraser Olender , about what she was feeling. He encouraged her to put her mental health first. Kerry did the same.

"My number one job is to take care of my crew and their health," Kerry said. "I'm well aware of mental health. She's got to go, now."

11 Things You Didn’t Know About Below Deck's Captain Kerry Titheradge

"I wish I could have stayed. But, the thing is, there's no way I could have," Cat concluded. "This is too much. I need to be with the people [who] need me, and also, on this boat, I'm at a breaking point. I need to protect my mental health. It's like my support system is at home, not here."

However, unlike the other Below Deck shows, Below Deck Down Under Season 3 hadn’t been filmed when news of the renewal broke.

Months later, fans anxiously await news on when Captain Jason and his trusty side-kick Chief Stew Aesha Scott will be back.

Captain Jason Chambers shares Below Deck Down Under Season 3 update

It seems that Captain Jason, too, is getting antsy waiting for more news on the upcoming season of his hit-yachting show. Last December, the hunky captain admitted the next installment of Below Deck Down Under had yet to be filmed.

According to Noah Samton, a senior vice president of unscripted current production for NBCUniversal, Below Deck Down Under Season 3 was filming earlier this month.

The other day, Captain Jason took to Instagram to express his readiness for Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under to hit Bravo airwaves.

“Anyone else excited for Season 3 of BDDU?” he wrote alongside a video featuring highlights from Season 2.

The comments section of Captain Jason’s IG post was filled with fans asking about the show, prompting him to ask for help.

Below Deck Down Under’s Captain Jason Chambers asks fans for help

While the hunky captain didn’t spill any filming details or even confirm the season was in the can, he did have some information to drop.

One user wanted to know when Below Deck Down Under would start. There was a response from Above Deck Podcast that the show was currently filming, and then Captain Jason chimed in.

“Talk is this year 🤔 Lets shout out and tell @belowdeckbravo how much we want this…” was his response.

Captain Jason fan help

When more users asked about a premiere date, Captain Jason again encouraged them to reach out to Bravo to let the network know how much fans want the show back on air.

The captain reiterated his hope it would be soon because he thinks “we need another BDDU on our screens soon.” We have to agree with Captain Jason, too!

BDU fans reply to Captain Jason's IG post

Other fans opened up about missing the show, as one user thought the video was a trailer for the new season.

“I know it’s way too long for us all, but let’s bring some good memories back so people ( Bravo) don’t forget we had a good season..,” the captain replied.

It was also brought up that Below Deck Med is on all the time and questioned if Below Deck Down Under isn’t good enough. Captain Jason popped up to explain he loves being an underdog, but a new season is needed immediately.

Captain Jason teases BDU Season 3

There’s no question that Captain Jason is rallying the troops to get Below Deck Down Under Season 3 on Bravo ASAP.

One of his responses, though, has us worried it won’t be until next year as he commented, “One every two years is just too long.”

Captain Jason BDU comments

Captain Jason Chambers and Below Deck Down Under fans want the show back on Bravo.

Unfortunately, the earliest it would air is late next fall. As Monsters and Critics previously reported, the Below Deck Season 11 mid-season trailer just dropped, so it’s only at the halfway point.

That means Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 won’t air until June, and Below Deck Med Season 9 will likely follow sometime in the early fall. Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under should air after those two Below Deck spin-offs wrap.

If Bravo decides to double up episodes, it could make way for Below Deck Down Under Season 3 earlier, but we haven’t heard a peep about that yet.

Below Deck Down Under is currently on hiatus on Bravo. Seasons 1-2 are streaming on Peacock.

BDDU needs to start filming ASAP. I and everyone need more of this great show.

10 Below Deck Alums Who Will Never Return To The Franchise (They've Burnt Bridges)

  • Yachties on Below Deck face unique challenges with reality TV rules and viewer backlash, making it a tough experience for some.
  • Interpersonal drama and struggles with crew members can lead to a yachtie's departure from the franchise for good.
  • Some crew members, like Chef Adam and Deckhand Lexi, found it difficult to navigate the pressures and drama of Below Deck.

Below Deck season 11 has had some difficult crew members, but there are some crewmates who have struggled so much during their time on the f ranchise that they’ll never return . Throughout franchise history, Below Deck ’s crew members have been the lifeblood of the series, working with difficult charter guests and making sure their time aboard the super yachts are enjoyable, safe, and make for good TV. While some crew members are more guest-facing than others, they all have the responsibility of ensuring that the charter is pleasant and safe for the charter guests. Working through tough conditions and dealing with different personalities depending on who else is on the crew is commonplace for yachties in any capacity, but depending on their experience level and personality, it can be more difficult for some to navigate than others.

Although many yachties are capable of handling charter guests aboard a superyacht in general, Below Deck changes the game in a way that most yachties struggle with. While superyacht work is difficult on its own, the added stress of working a superyacht on reality TV with different rules, regulations, and provisions available can be tricky. Most yachties explain that they’re not prepared for the pressures of Below Deck , and make it clear that it is an experience like no other in the yachting world. While some thrive in the chaos of the series, like Below Deck Mediterranean star Captain Sandy Yawn or former Below Deck Chief Stew Kate Chastain , others struggle as they make their way through the charter season, as they’re used to providing a different level of service while they’re on a super yacht.

While some yachties may not be up to the difficult standard of Below Deck, others may simply have interpersonal drama that they can’t overcome on the series. Part of the benefit of being on Below Deck is the drama that happens aboard a vessel gets caught on camera, but it’s part of the detriment of being on the series. Issues being filmed and brought to the court of public opinion can be difficult for the yachties, especially when the show’s edit moves the needle in favor of one person or another. While some yachties benefit from learning from their mistakes after they air on the series, others simply face backlash from viewers and wind up getting into more Below Deck drama than they started with. Some Below Deck yachties have struggled so much on the series that they will likely never return to the franchise.

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Jean-luc cerza lanaux, below deck sailing yacht season 2.

As a member of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2 ’s cast, Jean-Luc Cerza Lanaux was a welcome addition to the crew of Parsifal III. The Deckhand appeared to have the right skills to work aboard the sailing yacht, and his connection to the rest of the crew wasn’t much of an issue until late in the charter season. Jean-Luc and Dani Soares built a connection throughout Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 2, but it didn’t appear to be detrimental to either of their time on the series.

Instead, the boatmance helped them to push through difficult times with their teams and the charter guests. After the season ended, Dani revealed that she was pregnant, and a paternity scandal rocked the Below Deck universe as she and Jean-Luc publicly argued about whether or not the baby was his. Eventually, Jean-Luc was confirmed as the child’s father , but the scandal made such major waves that the Deckhand will never return to the Bravo series.

Bruno Duarte

Below deck season 5.

Appearing on Below Deck season 5, Bruno Duarte was a Deckhand who struggled to deal with the system of power aboard the superyacht. Below Deck season 5 featured Captain Lee Rosbach and Kate in the driver’s seat, which worked for some yachties, but not for others. Kate is a polarizing figure in the Below Deck world, as some find her to be a bad Chief Stew, while others praise the way she works. The same goes for Captain Lee, whose style works for some yachties, but rubs others the wrong way.

Bruno had a difficult time with both crew members, struggling to deal with Kate’s attitude and Captain Lee’s alleged behavior. Bruno has shared after his appearance on the series that Captain Lee wasn’t respectful to him, making fun of his accent and forcing him to drink alcohol despite knowing Bruno didn’t drink. The alleged behavior from Captain Lee was enough to keep Bruno away from Below Deck in the future, and his poor relationship with Kate sealed the deal, as he’s moved away from the yachting industry entirely after his appearance on the show.

Chef Adam Glick

Below deck mediterranean season 2 & 3.

While Chef Adam Glick was an early member of the Below Deck Mediterranean crew, he left the series after appearing for just two seasons, only to return to Below Deck Sailing Yacht later on. During his time on Below Deck Mediterranean, Adam fell into a boatmance that distracted him from his work . While some may not remember, Adam and Malia White were in a boatmance early on in the series, but things quickly went south. When Malia began to develop feelings for the Bosun, Wes Walton, Adam’s behavior changed entirely.

Rather than focusing on his work, Adam got caught up in the drama of his boatmance crumbling, which pushed him to purposely mess up the orders he was getting for charter guests, and eventually get physically violent with Wes during a day off. Adam eventually returned for Below Deck Mediterranean season 3 and redeemed himself, but it was too little too late. Getting into another boatmance on Below Deck Sailing Yacht with Jenna Macgillivray , Adam was calmer about his relationship the second time around. Sadly, things fizzled out quickly and it appears that Chef Adam is focusing on his life on land.

Jason Gaskell

Below deck mediterranean season 7.

Appearing on Below Deck Mediterranean season 7 , Jason Gaskell was one of the most dramatic crew members throughout the charter season. His attitude with his crewmates was difficult to watch at times, and there were moments when the Deckhand’s behavior wasn’t called for throughout his time on the superyacht. Though he didn’t appear to get along with the rest of the crew during his time aboard the superyacht, many felt he got the short end of the stick on the superyacht and actually wished he hadn’t left the vessel and the crew behind.

Jason’s time on Below Deck Mediterranean did afford him a good relationship with Captain Sandy, who he enjoyed working with throughout the charter season. He chose to leave the superyacht, but Jason was respectful enough to Captain Sandy that he waited until his replacement was already aboard the vessel, so the team wouldn’t be short-staffed. Though Jason would likely be a welcome addition to a future season of the series, it’s likely he won’t return after the treatment he faced.

Lexi Wilson

Below deck mediterranean season 6.

Another Below Deck Mediterranean star, Lexi Wilson was a member of the crew on Below Deck Med season 6 who struggled in her position and had a hard time with the rest of the crew. As a Stew, Lexi quickly bonded with Courtney Veale during her time aboard the superyacht, but she wasn’t able to make many other connections on the vessel as she moved through her time working on the ship. Lexi shared early on that she’d lost her father just months before boarding the superyacht, so her grief was palpable throughout her time on Below Deck Mediterranean.

While Lexi was dealing with some major emotions, her treatment of the rest of the crew after a rough night out was completely uncalled for. Lexi drunkenly disrespected the rest of the crew , talking back to Chief Stew Katie Flood and Bosun Malia White before getting into a physical fight with Mzi Dempers, an exterior crew member. After her attitude came out, Lexi kept it together for another charter, but wound up fired from Below Deck Mediterranean after an altercation with Chef Matthew Shea. Lexi’s behavior was inappropriate . She seemed to understand yachting wasn’t for her, and has since moved away from the industry entirely.

Ben Willoughby

Below deck season 10 & 11.

After appearing on Below Deck season 10, Ben Willoughby believed he had everything under control. Starting out as a Deckhand, Ben quickly made his way up the ladder. He began Below Deck season 11 as a Lead Deckhand, only to get promoted to Bosun after Jared Woodin was fired by Captain Kerry Titheradge. Ben’s behavior throughout his time on the charter has been interesting , as it’s clear he wants to work efficiently, but he has a knack for stirring up the drama with his fellow crew members. Ben’s penchant for drama also manifests itself in boatmances, which he’s had two of thus far.

While Ben’s behavior has been fine throughout his time on the series, his difficulties outside of the Below Deck universe seem to have him considering his next steps carefully. Throughout Below Deck season 11, Ben has struggled with the way the episodes are edited , sharing on social media that he’s disappointed in the way he’s being portrayed. Having called out several members of the St. David crew online, Ben may be finished with the Below Deck franchise because of how disrespected he feels.

Eddie Lucas

Below deck season 1-3, 8, & 9.

Eddie Lucas was a part of Below Deck for years, but his time on the series seems to have come to an end with his new opportunities taking him away from the show. Eddie worked as Captain Lee’s Bosun for several seasons and eventually moved up to First Officer as he got more experience under his belt. Eddie was great at his job on Below Deck and proved that he was one of the more knowledgeable crew members throughout the franchise with every episode. He was able to solve problems quickly and navigate the water safely, which Captain Lee appreciated.

While Eddie’s time on Below Deck helped to prove his skills on the exterior, the yachtie had some difficult decisions to make after working aboard a superyacht for years without the ability to move up in the ranks. Eddie wound up leaving Below Deck for the opportunity to captain his own vessel, which he still does currently. Though Eddie seemed to enjoy Below Deck, he did have his own complaints about the show, citing low pay in the Bravo hierarchy throughout his time on the series.

Ashton Pienaar

Below deck season 6 & 7.

Although he wasn’t the most difficult cast member to watch on Below Deck season 6 & 7, Ashton Pienaar had a life-changing time on the series. Ashton was one of the more likable crew members aboard the superyacht during his first season of the series, and after having a near-death experience that left him ready to start over , many wondered if he would continue working aboard the superyacht. During Ashton’s second season on Below Deck, his attitude started to shift.

Ashton’s behavior on Below Deck season 7 was difficult to watch, as he continually drank heavily during crew nights out and his attitude shifted. His targeted harassment of Chief Stew Kate was tough to watch, and viewers ultimately felt Ashton’s departure from Below Deck wasn’t surprising. After the show, Ashton realized he had issues he needed to deal with and changed his ways , getting sober and leaving the yachting industry entirely. Though he likely wouldn’t want to come back to Below Deck, he also wasn’t invited while Captain Lee was still part of the show.

Ruan Irving

Below deck mediterranean season 8.

Although he was set to be the Bosun on Below Deck Mediterranean season 8, Ruan Irving’s confusing time on the show never actually allowed him to show off his skills aboard the superyacht. While Ruan was meant to be one of the cast members working aboard the yacht, his paperwork quickly became an issue for Captain Sandy as the charter season kicked off. Ruan’s paperwork had been filled out incorrectly, his medical license wasn’t certified in the appropriate way, and it appeared that some of Ruan’s paperwork had been forged.

While Ruan had explanations for all of his paperwork issues, Captain Sandy had no choice but to remove him from the superyacht until he was able to provide accurate, correct information. Ruan understood the decision but wasn’t sure how he was going to get what he needed together in time. While he was originally hopeful that he’d be able to get the original copies of his paperwork in order to provide them to Captain Sandy, Ruan ultimately knew he was going to hold up the charter if he stayed on the series . He chose to leave Below Deck Med and has shared the experience was overwhelming, so it’s unlikely he’ll return.

Below Deck Down Under Season 2

As a Bosun, Below Deck Down Under season 2’s Luke Jones was meant to provide an example of leadership aboard Captain Jason Chambers’ superyacht. Working with the exterior team, Jason set off some red flags early on in the season, behaving inappropriately with some of the women aboard the superyacht. Though Luke wasn’t necessarily doing anything wrong immediately, his behavior was noticed by viewers and his crewmates. Things became increasingly worrisome when Luke made some inappropriate advances toward Stew Margot Sisson later in the season.

Luke’s behavior was inappropriate and overtly sexual. He kissed Margot without her permission or consent, then attempted to get into her bunk with her while he was wearing only a towel, and Margot was inebriated. Aesha Scott, who was working as Captain Jason’s Chief Stew at the time, noticed what was happening and reported Luke to the Captain. Thankfully, the behavior was taken seriously. Captain Jason had Luke removed from the boat and then terminated his employment . The Below Deck Captain ensured that consequences were given for Luke’s actions, making it clear he won’t be returning to the series again.

The Below Deck franchise is available to stream on Peacock.
