Star couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé eschewed the Illustrious Met Gala to celebrate her 40th birthday in supreme style onboard the largest and most expensive charter yacht in the world, the 136m/446ft Lurssen megayacht FLYING FOX for a luxury vacation in the Mediterranean. 

Beyoncé recently shared images of her family enjoying their vacation onboard this iconic superyacht, which certainly enjoys a star power of its own, boasting a huge array of spectacular amenities across 6 vast decks.

The yacht's graceful exterior curves are penned by the renowned Espen Øino, whilst her interiors are the brainchild of Mark Berryman Design.

Her interiors showcase a contemporary minimalist vibe, with influences from Japanese culture which follow through into her stunning accommodation areas.

She sleeps up to a whopping 25 guests on charter in 10 gorgeous suites, including an impressive upper deck Owner's apartment featuring a his and hers dressing room leading to a large bathroom with an oval stone tub, as well as a 105m² cabin with adjacent work spaces, saloon and dining area, topped off by a wraparound private terrace with spa pool and sunpads.

Superlative onboard amenities

It's hard not to get excited when talking about FLYING FOX's unbelievable features. The jewel in the crown has to be her 400m² multi-level wellness centre offering guests everything from a spa pool which turns from hot to ice cold in minutes – ideal for plunging into after a steamy session in the Hammam, a beauty therapy treatment room with all the latest gadgets for sublime facials and massages, a full-blown dive centre with air nitrox and onboard decompression chamber, to a cryo-sauna where guests can reinvigorate tired muscles at an icy -110 degrees.

Additional onboard highlights include a vast adjustable height 12-meter swimming pool with jets, two certified helipads, with one doubling as a dance floor with a DJ booth located in the mast alcove, soundproof movie theatre, fully-equipped gymnasium and glorious double-height mezzanine-style main salon.

Her waterside level beach club provides access to a vast 22.5m swim platform, providing the perfect base for launching the yacht's veritable armada of toys, from seabobs to flyboards.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s entourage would certainly be dwarfed by the yacht's highly-professional crew of 55, all of whom are trained for multiple roles in order to staff the various amenities found onboard, including the yacht's very own hospital wing.

All the luxurious details on Beyonce and JAY-Z's $2M-a-week superyacht

JAY-Z and Beyonce are making waves in Europe, and they're doing it in luxury. 

Recent paparazzi photos show the superstar couple and their children cruising off the coast of Croatia aboard an incredibly extravagant yacht named Lana. 

Imperial Yachts, which charters the floating mansion, calls it "one of the most luxurious superyachts in the world."

It can be yours for merely $2 million a week. 

According to Imperial, Lana is brand new and loaded with opulence. 

The ship fits up to 12 guest and accommodates a crew of 34 — that's almost three crew members per guest. Longer than a football field, Lana boasts seven VIP rooms and one primary suite. 

Amenities include a pool, a gym, a theater, a spa with professional masseuses, a helipad and more. It's also fully equipped with a slew of water toys, such as jet skis, wakeboards and fishing equipment. Those hoping to play a round of golf can use the sea as their own personal driving range, as the ship will supply guests with clubs and biodegradable golf balls. 

This is the kind of "hard knock life" we can all get behind.

Singer abruptly walked off 'Today' gig over dressing room

Kelly Rowland was just not destined to guest host the "Today" show.

According to a new report, the former Destiny's Child singer was set to fill in for Jenna Bush Hager in the fourth hour of "Today" on Feb. 15, 2024, but she instead walked off the set because she was unhappy with her dressing room, Page Six reported. Kelly's abrupt departure left "Today" in a bind, as producers scrambled to find a last-minute replacement.

Kelly Rowland appeared on "Today" as a guest in the 8 a.m. hour to promote her Tyler Perry-produced Netflix movie "Mea Culpa." (She stars in the film, which she also produced.) She was also set to guest host the fourth hour of the show with Hoda Kotb. However, Kelly decided to pull the plug on the hosting gig because she and her team were displeased with her dressing room — Team Kelly apparently wanted the bigger dressing room Jennifer Lopez was occupying at that moment. 

"Kelly and her team were not happy. They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving Hoda without a guest host for the 10 a.m. hour," a source told Page Six.

Kelly Rowland's sudden exit stunned "Today" show producers.

"She's beloved at 'Today.' She was getting the full hour, and Hoda's the biggest hype woman on the planet! It made no sense," a source said, adding that Kelly and her team were playing a game of "musical dressing rooms." The Destiny's Child singer "didn't like the one she was in."

"Today" dressing rooms are known to be some of the smallest in the business, and Page Six's source even compared them to "glorified closets."

"They're not nice. It's the oldest building. There are major space limitations, [it's] not glamorous. It's not fresh flowers and candles and gourmet food. It's basically [a] white box," the insider said.

It seems that Kelly Rowland was offered multiple dressing room options, including a large utility makeup and hair area.

"They didn't want that. [The show] basically offered up as much as possible, but they weren't happy with it, so they walked and they left," the Page Six source said.

Amid the drama, singer Rita Ora volunteered to step in. The "For You" singer took over the spot intended for Kelly Rowland — and delivered a flawless performance!

Congressman sinks impeachment bid after casting vote from wheelchair, plus more reactions

A vote to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas failed in the House of Representatives after some unanticipated dramatics. Due to the hospitalization of Democratic Rep. Al Green, Republicans believed they had the votes to impeach the cabinet member. However, the Texas congressman stunned his colleagues after rushing back following abdominal surgery to vote "no," all while sitting in a wheelchair and wearing hospital scrubs. The vote failed 216-214. Four Republicans joined the Democrats in their "no" votes, but one of those votes was done as a procedural matter so that the vote can be brought up again.

Following the House drama and the unsuccessful vote, many in the House chambers reacted. From his hospital bed, Al Green, himself, told The New York Times, "I was determined to cast the vote long before — I had no idea how close it was going to be. I didn't come assuming that my vote was going to make a difference. I came because it was personal."

Oscar winner and long-term partner 'exchanged vows' for their three kids before he died following a secret years-long battle with ALS: Report

Sandra Bullock and longtime partner Bryan Randall were every bit a husband-wife team despite not being legally married. In fact, they were so committed that they reportedly "exchanged vows" in 2017.

On Aug. 8, DailyMail.com published a video of the couple dancing on the beach in the Bahamas allegedly following an intimate ceremony during which they exchanged vows.

"They really did this for the children, to kind of seal the deal and show them this was a forever thing. After the ceremony [Sandra's kids] Louis and Laila started calling Bryan dad," a source shared. 

The Academy Award-winning actress and began dating the model-turned-photographer in 2015 after they met when he photographed her son's birthday party. Although Sandra has spoken publicly about never wanting to marry again, she called Bryan "the love of my life" on a 2021 episode of "Red Table Talk."

"We share two beautiful children — three children, [including Bryan's] older daughter. It's the best thing ever," she said. At the time, she didn't reference his health issues. 

Bryan passed away on Aug. 5 following a secret three-year battle with ALS, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. He was 57.

While Sandra's sister said the actress was there until the end, an insider told DailyMail.com that Bryan's illness did strain their relationship. But they were "more together than ever" at the time of his death, the insider added. Sandra also arranged and paid for his around-the-clock care. 

Interestingly, split rumors had surrounded the couple for the better part of a year, largely due to the fact they hadn't been seen together in public for a while. That speculation actually helped them keep his health battle private. 

"Sandra kept Bryan hidden away in the back of the house. It's so big that you could conceal what was going on with him but towards the end she really didn't let people into the home beyond the doctors and nurses who were looking after him," the insider said. "It was quite convenient for them to have these rumors that they'd broken up because it helped conceal what was really going on. It was easier to let people assume they hadn't seen him because they were no longer together."

A separate source noted, "The relationship was absolutely strained by it, and it was really hard for the children. He had been living in one of her Malibu properties for a while just because it was nicer for him to be there, by the ocean, and I think some people assumed they had split because it looked like they were living separately, but there weren't. She'd have the house stocked up with everything he needed, and his nurses would go there."

According to a statement from Bryan's family released after his death, "Bryan chose early to keep his journey with ALS private and those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request." The statement continued, "We are immensely grateful to the tireless doctors who navigated the landscape of this illness with us and to the astounding nurses who became our roommates, often sacrificing their own families to be with ours. At this time we ask for privacy to grieve and to come to terms with the impossibility of saying goodbye to Bryan." The statement was signed by, "His Loving Family."

Singer's nanny killed in freak accident after elderly driver crashed SUV into reception area at car dealership

Yadira Calito — who nannied Katharine McPhee and David Foster's son — died in a freak accident after she was run over by an SUV at a car dealership in the Los Angeles area.

According to reports, an unnamed 84-year-old woman went to a San Fernando Valley car dealership on Aug. 11 to get her Toyota RAV4 serviced. She then somehow hit the gas pedal rather than the brakes, launching her vehicle from the service bay driveway into the customer reception area.

Yadira, who was at the dealership, suddenly found herself pinned under the car and was dragged for about 20 feet, TMZ reported. Kat and David's nanny was eventually freed from under the car and, according to DailyMail.com , an off-duty nurse started performing CPR on her before emergency services arrived. 

The nanny to Kat and David's 2-year-old son, Rennie, was eventually transported to a hospital in critical condition but later died. 

Two men working at the dealership were also injured in the shocking incident, but their injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the car stayed on site to answer authorities' questions and declined to be taken to the hospital. She was not arrested.

Images from the crash — which occurred around 9 a.m. — show the white SUV parked among shattered glass. 

Upon learning about Yadira's injuries and death Katharine — who found fame as a runner-up on "American Idol" in 2006 — canceled two shows in Asia, where she was touring with her Grammy-winning husband. 

"Dearest Jakarta fans, it's with heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final two shows of our Asia run," she  wrote on Instagram  on Aug. 11 without providing further details. "David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us need to get back home to our family." 

She added, "Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all. Love Katharine." 

The songstress flew back to Los Angeles the same day. TMZ reported that the superstar couple considered Yadira "family." After several celebrity friends, including David's ex-wife Linda Thompson, commented with well wishes, Kat disabled the comments section of her Instagram.

On Aug. 17, the car dealership, Hamer Toyota, issued a statement about what happened. "We extend our deepest condolences to Yadira's family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. The loss of such a vibrant life in such tragic circumstances is a heavy burden to bear, and we share in their grief," the dealership's director of communications told Us Weekly. 

"At Hamer Toyota, we take the safety of our customers and our community very seriously. We are fully cooperating with the Los Angeles Police Department as they conduct their investigation into this unfortunate event," the spokesperson added. "Our commitment is to ensure transparency, assist the LAPD in every possible way, and to learn from this incident so we can prevent such tragedies in the future. In these moments of profound sadness, we ask our community to join us in remembering Yadira and extending our collective support to her loved ones."

Patricia also said she's concerned about the banning of books in her new home state. "I was horrified about the book banning [in schools] in Florida … just a lot of the episodes that are going on here," she told TMZ. "And nobody is addressing them."

She also said Medicaid was an issue for her, as she believes it's "just being abominably banished for the elderly especially. That's three reasons I started doing this," she added of what sparked her interest in going to Washington.

During their chat, TMZ founder Harvey Levin pointed out that Patricia's positions make her sound more like a Democrat than a Republican. But according to her, she's running as  Republican because "I've always been a Republican and my feeling and my issues may sound more Democratic but I am a Republican through and through," she insisted.

"I'm trying to embrace it for people who realize the situation at hand, more today than it ever was, and maybe if I sound more like a Republican, Republicans need to take this not for granted," she continued.

She's hoping people will see her in a new light. "I don't want to be known as what I was as 'Tan Mom.' I've grown and I'm here to help and want to help people that are struggling," she said. "And maybe more Republicans should have a different taste in their mouth when they're trying to help people in the world today."

Patricia further told TMZ, "I know that I am different. And I have suffered for it. But us all being different is what makes this country so amazing and unique."

According to the New York Post , her candidacy comes as she's starring in the TV docuseries "Tan to 10," which chronicles her efforts to stop tanning and change her life. Patricia – who went to rehab for alcohol addiction in 2013 – named her producers Gregg Maliff and Adam Barta as her campaign managers.

Princess of Pop and actor-trainer husband of 14 months are divorcing

Britney Spears and her husband of 14 months, Sam Asghari, are divorcing.

TMZ reported on Aug. 16 that the duo separated the previous week after a "nuclear argument" during which Sam confronted her over unconfirmed rumors that she'd been unfaithful . 

"It's only a matter of time before Sam files for divorce," a source shared.

Sam filed for divorce later the same day, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and listing July 28 as their date of separation. In court documents, he's asking for spousal support and attorneys fees.

The writing was seemingly on the wall, as reports of blowout fights and arguments between the two have been floating around for several months. In May, a TMZ documentary claimed their marriage was in "deep trouble" and that Sam was rarely staying in their home. Britney even ditched her wedding ring during a spring vacation in Puerto Rico.

Sam was simply at his "wits' end" with Britney's often erratic behavior , the webloid reported. 

Publicly, though, Sam has backed his wife, recently defending her following a physical incident with an NBA player in Las Vegas in July.

Britney and Sam met in 2016 when he starred in one of her music videos. They quickly began dating and became rather inseparable. The couple got engaged in the midst of her conservatorship battle , and they eventually tied the knot in June 2022.

Prior to their 2022 wedding, the "Toxic" singer's lawyers set up an "ironclad prenup" to ensure the finances and assets Britney had going into the marriage would remain hers should she and Sam ever call it quits. Britney has an estimated net worth of $60 million. Regardless, it's believed that she will likely settle things with Sam financially. Divorce docs hint at a potential prenup challenge, TMZ reported, with Sam's attorney noting the actor-trainer "has yet to determine the full nature and extent of the separate property assets and obligations of each party" and that "There are various items of community and quasi-community assets and debts, the full nature and extent of which are unknown to [Sam] at this time."

Her crumbling marriage is just  one piece of the troubling puzzle involving the Princess of Pop. According to a February TMZ  report, those close to Britney  felt an intervention was direly needed  because people around her had become deeply alarmed by what TMZ described as "her erratic, volatile behavior." A source told the webloid that the singer was taking medications that "hype her up" — but not taking the medications that stabilize her — and that she'd been "flying off the handle" with increasing regularity. But an intervention was suddenly scrapped, TMZ reported, after Britney caught wind of it. "I'm afraid she's gonna die," one source in regular contact with Britney told TMZ at the time. 

'Fast & Furious' star sues The Home Depot for $450M for discriminating against him

Singer-actor Tyrese Gibson is accusing The Home Depot of discrimination and racial profiling after an incident in February that occurred at one of the brand's California stores.

On Aug. 9, the "Fast & Furious" franchise star and two other plaintiffs — Eric Mora and Manuel Hernandez, craftsmen who've provided construction services to the singer-actor — filed a lawsuit claiming "outrageous discriminatory mistreatment and consumer racial profiling" at a Home Depot in West Hills, California, on Feb. 11, 2023.

NBC News reported that in the complaint, Tyrese says he, Eric and Manuel went to The Home Depot together to buy some materials for a project they were doing at his home. A cashier allegedly took 20 minutes to ring up the items. Meanwhile, other shoppers began recognizing and approaching the actor, prompting him to wait in his vehicle to prevent a disturbance. Before he went outside, Tyrese told the cashier that the craftsmen with him would complete the sale on his behalf. The suit claims Eric and Manuel were not allowed to do so, which led Tyrese to come back inside to show ID so they could finish the transaction. He asked to speak to a manager, who allegedly refused.

"The actions of the cashier and manager were discriminatory based on race and origin," the complaint states. "There is no other plausible explanation for the mistreatment of Plaintiffs. The transaction was refused, despite Gibson's repeated authorizations, because of Plaintiffs' skin color and, in the case of Mora and Hernandez, also because of their national origin."

The suit calls the "humiliating and demeaning" interaction "a clear and deplorable instance of discriminatory mistreatment and consumer racial profiling" and further alleges that The Home Depot has "doubled down, lawyered-up" instead of holding itself accountable for what transpired. In short, The Home Depot "invited this civil rights lawsuit," the complaint further alleges. "This is the absolute height of hypocrisy for a company that disingenuously promotes itself to the world as 'an environment of mutual respect that is free of harassment and discrimination.'"

According to court documents, the three plaintiffs are seeking more than $1 million in damages, which Entertainment Weekly reported is how much Tyrese estimates he's spent at The Home Depot over the years, plus statutory damages, attorney's fees, punitive damages, a declaratory judgment confirming that The Home Depot's actions violated California's Unruh Civil Rights Act, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and also "such other relief as the Court may deem just and proper."

The actor's team released a statement on his Instagram page on Aug. 11 alongside a video of Tyrese speaking to The Home Depot staff inquiring about their policies. According to the social media post, they're seeking a total of $450 million in damages.

"Craftsmen Eric Mora and Manuel Hernandez are an integral part of my team and have made significant contributions to my visions for over a decade. Together, we ardently uphold our commitments to civil rights, promoting empathy, and understanding," the statement began. It continued, "The Home Depot, we envision a world free from discriminatory practices and consumer racial profiling. Just as I have done for the past 20-plus years, I pledge to continue to utilize my platform to empower the voiceless, fostering a spirit of unity and hope, while illuminating our shared path forward."

The Home Depot claims they've tried to address what happened: "Diversity and respect for all people are core to who we are, and we do not tolerate discrimination in any form," a company spokesperson told Today.com in a statement on Aug. 11. "We value Mr. Gibson as a customer, and in the months since this happened, we've reached out to him and his attorneys several times to try to resolve his concerns. We will continue to do so."

TV star leaves ESPN after settling lawsuit over Obama race and COVID vaccine comments

After 16 years, Sage Steele has left ESPN so that she can exercise her First Amendment rights "more freely," the broadcaster said. The ex-"SportsCenter" host and her former company both confirmed the news on Aug. 15.

"Life update. Having successfully settled my case with ESPN/Disney, I have decided to leave so I can exercise my first amendment rights more freely. I am grateful for so many wonderful experiences over the past 16 years and am excited for my next chapter!" she shared on social media.

In a statement, ESPN said the company and Sage "mutually agreed to part ways," adding, "We thank her for her many contributions over the years."

The announcement comes after Sage settled a lawsuit with the company that she filed in 2022. In that suit, she claimed ESPN violated her First Amendment rights as well as Connecticut free-speech laws when she was suspended over public comments she made about the network's COVID vaccine policy and former President Barack Obama's racial identity.

It all began when Sage was a guest on a September 2021 episode of the "Uncut With Jay Cutler" podcast. She said she'd just been vaccinated against the coronavirus but called ESPN and parent company The Walt Disney Co.'s corporate vaccine mandate "sick" and "scary to me in many ways."

She also shared on the podcast that she felt late TV journalist Barbara Walters had belittled her for identifying as biracial. (Sage's father is Gary Steele, the first Black football player at U.S. Military Academy West Point, and mother is Mona Steele, who is white.)

Sage said that after the founder of "The View" asked her what race she'd choose on the census and she responded, "well, both," Barbara made a comment about Barack choosing Black. "And I'm like, well, congratulations to the president," Sage said on the podcast. "That's his thing. I think that's fascinating considering his Black dad was nowhere to be found but his white mom and grandma raised him. But hey, you do you. I'm going to do me."

In the wake of her podcast comments, ESPN took her off the air for 10 days and pulled her from several big assignments at the network. "At ESPN, we embrace different points of view — dialogue and discussion makes this place great," the company said in a statement. "That said, we expect that those points of view be expressed respectfully, in a manner consistent with our values, and in line with our internal policies."

Sage issued an apology, saying in a statement, "I know my recent comments created controversy for the company, and I apologize. We are in the midst of an extremely challenging time that impacts all of us, and it's more critical than ever that we communicate constructively and thoughtfully."

In her lawsuit, which was filed in 2022, her lawyers accused ESPN of relying "on the misleading characterizations of her comments" and said her employer "forced her to apologize, allowed media to destroy her, and let media reports that she had been suspended go unchallenged, and allowed Steele's colleagues to defame her in violation of company policy without so much as a reprimand."

The Associated Press reported that in June 2023, court documents showed that ESPN offered to settle Sage's claims for $501,000.00 plus reasonable attorney's fees and costs. Details on their settlement terms, however, were not made public when Sage and the company announced they'd parted ways in August.

That's because the expert offered some exclusive insight into what a superyacht — specifically the super-expensive superyacht that Bey enjoyed — is really like. "Some say it's all about the destination but when it comes to chartering a superyacht, it's all about the vessel and the experiences it has to offer," Sterling explained, and you're about to find out how true that is.

"There are many different types of experiences depending on the yacht," Sterling says. "I have had the pleasure of sailing on a 171 foot Perini Navi in the San Francisco Bay with a crew worthy of competing in the America's Cup. In order to celebrate Beyoncé's birthday in September 2020, the singer and her family chartered Imperial Yachts' LANA, a superyacht that is "top of the line as far as luxury is concerned," according to TMZ . Stretching "longer than a football field," the spacious boat offers room for "12 guests — not counting the 34 crew members it also accommodates — in 8 en-suite staterooms, 7 VIP rooms, and a master suite." There's also a "pool on the deck, a theater, a spa with professional masseuses, [and] foldable terraces," as well as the use of "a jet ski, wakeboards, SEABOBs, water skies, inflatable paddleboards, fishing equipment," and more.

Managing Director of The Agency Carmel-Pebble Beach Braden Sterling gave Nicki Swift even more information on the spectacular vessel, saying that the "yacht Beyoncé and Jay-Z charted" — which is so big it's actually a "giga-yacht" — "is special in that it was built by Benetti, a subsidiary of the Azimut Yachts company, which is based in Viareggio," which is "known as the yacht capital of Italy." Our expert noted that it's "equivalent to a luxury brand such as Valentino or Versace." That means the "[c]raftsmanship and materials are the finest," while the yacht also offers "unique amenities."

"Beyoncé and Jay-Z were the first to charter the vessel, a genius launch by Imperial to unveil their largest offering to date," Sterling noted. However, if you're interested in taking the same kind of trip, be prepared to pay a lot of money!

If you're now dreaming of taking a vacation on a superyacht like Beyoncé and Jay-Z, you should know that Managing Director of The Agency Carmel-Pebble Beach Braden Sterling let Nicki Swift in on the fact that the "associated costs with chartering a superyacht are largely based on the location, the season, and the experiences the boat has to offer," as well as if the yacht comes with "a full crew." So how much did Bey pay (unless she got it for free)? Cosmopolitan  puts the cost at over $2 million per week.

Sterling notes that there are also "mega-yachts" that are "only accessible by the elite via a personal invite from the yacht's owner." In that case, "[n]on-disclosures by all crew and captain are required, which says much about the guests and the events that take place." Considering Beyoncé and Jay-Z are two of the biggest stars in the world and have a family to protect , a non-disclosure clause seems like it would be an enticing perk.

Beyond that, Sterling shared that there will be "[c]ustomized 24-hour pampering based on pre-board guest preference sheets, in a completely private environment, with dining specific to your personal diet, amenities tailored for relaxation with all the amenities one can dream of." And, of course, "a tender that provides quick access to private beaches or port towns for dining and shopping, along with access to private clubs." Got a spare $4 million floating around? If so then you can live the same life as Jay-Z and Beyonce for approximately one week. That’s how much it costs to charter the Super Yacht they’re currently chilling out taking copious shots for Instagram on.

Dubbed the Flying Fox,  the 136 metre super yacht can be chartered from Imperial Yachts, and tours you around the Mediterranean. It’s rumoured by industry insiders that this particular vessel was bought by Jeff Bezos back in 2019, but we can’t confirm or deny these rumours. Either way it’s a yacht fit for a king, or a pop queen in this instance.

It comes packed with a 12-metre transverse pool, has enough room for 25 guests in 11 rooms, complete with private sea-view terraces. It even has a 400sqm two-floor spa, for relaxing in in the evening. These come with professional dive instructors and therapists as well, of course. The exterior cooking station comes with its own cook, as well as a Rotisserie, Teppanyaki, and pizza oven.

If watching the Mediterranean coastline is totally blah, it also has its own cinema. Or if you want to get out on the water, it’s kitted out with flyboards, seabobs and three GTX300 jetskis.

Once your done and you need to get back to your media empire, it has a helipad so you don’t need to deal with the riff raff.

Last time we saw fit to discuss Jay-Z and Beyonce, it was over rumours that they were behind the purchase of the $28 Million Rolls Royce “Boat Tail” . We can at least confirm they like luxury boats, but still no concrete confirmation on whether they were the mystery buyers.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z Are Vacationing on This Megayacht That Costs Nearly $4 Million a Week to Rent

It's rumored that Jeff Bezos owns the massive yacht.

On Instagram , Beyoncé has been sharing photos from her family vacation on the impressive ship—which measures 417 feet long and likely cost more than $500 million to build, Bloomberg reports . It’s rumored that Jeff Bezos bought the yacht, but other sources say he’s not the owner.

Onboard, the ship can accommodate 25 guests in suites with clean-lined, contemporary decor, Boat International reports . There are 55 crew members, many of whom are dual-trained to be chefs, housekeepers, medics, dive instructors, hairdressers, and more. The ship has several decks—including a helipad on the roof—and the amenities feature a vast spa pool, cryosauna, gym, submarine, and water sports equipment (to name a few!). Oh, and the yacht is so big that it even has its own support yacht.

It’s unclear how long Beyoncé and Jay-Z plan on vacationing on the boat, but they’re out there living their best lives. Why attend a few crowded events when you can have a whole megayacht to yourself?

Jay-Z might have just splashed out on a $70 million superyacht for Beyoncé’s 32nd birthday – and it’s money well spent. The pair of superstars have been spotted celebrating aboard the 213-ft. Galactica Star , the world’s largest fast displacement yacht at the time of its launch in 2013, combining low resistance with high performance and fuel efficiency throughout the full speed range.

It can hit nearly 30 knots while burning 20 percent less fuel than craft of a comparable size. Built by Heesen in the Netherlands it features massive amounts of outdoor space including a sundeck, a duplex beach club covering 25% of the main and lower decks, and a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck. No mogul worth his salt would buy a boat without one, of course. It also comes with several World Superyacht Awards.

The yacht can accommodate up to 12 guests in custom-built staterooms, including a full-beam master suite with private balcony and a VIP suite on the upper deck, along with a crew of 13 to service them. It also has a swimming pool, sauna, and on-deck Jacuzzi.

The Galactica Star , which cost an estimated $70 million to build, is not on the books as a charter vessel, so some insiders speculate Jay-Z may have dropped the coin to make it his. No doubt he negotiated a good price, and by chartering it out when not in use he may even turn a profit.

The couple apparently fell in love with the yacht, with its knockout interior designed by London-based firm Bannenberg & Rowell, when they first sailed aboard it soon after launch. Something to do with the massive amounts of Macassar ebony, spruce, oak, sycamore, glass, metal, leather and marble, we trust.

In September 2021, Beyoncé and Jay-Z were seen in the Mediterranean on board the world's most expensive charter boat, Flying Fox.

When Jay-Z and Beyoncé travel on vacation—or anyplace else for that matter—people take note. And you might argue that when you vacation onboard the 450-foot-long, 67-foot-wide superyacht Flying Fox , which was built by Lürssen in Germany and costs over $4 million per week to charter, people notice just a little bit more.

However, superyachts that are significantly longer than a football field (such as Flying Fox and Jerry Jones' Bravo Eugina ) also receive a lot of attention.

On September 4, the famous artist celebrated her 40th birthday, which she had at the beginning of the month. Since then, it's been nonstop partying, with Beyonce and her equally renowned husband Jay-Z enjoying their holiday aboard the Flying Fox. "When are you returning home?" fans ask, while others complain that "Beyonce hasn't been letting us breathe recently," referring to the singer's numerous updates on social media.

And, as you can see in the first image, superyacht designer Espen Oeino has created an exquisite yacht exterior that, despite her vast size, appears sleek. They have been photographed by the paparazzi celebrating aboard the 213-ft Galactica Star yacht.

Because it might have been a gift, this yacht is one of the best, and has given the title of the world’s largest fast displacement yacht at the time of its launch in 2013.

It was titled the largest fast displacement because it has the ability to combine low resistance with high performance and fuel efficiency throughout the full speed range.

It can almost go with 30 knots while burning 30% less fuel than a craft of the same size.

Galactica Star yacht has been built by Heesen in the Netherlands and had its interior designed by London-based firm Bannenberg & Rowell.

It is not in vain called a superyacht, because it features lots of outdoor space, including a sundeck, a duplex beach club covering 25% of the main and lower decks, and a touch-and-go helipad on the foredeck.

Because we are here talking about one of the richest couples in the world , the yacht must have come with a helipad. Plus, it also has several World Superyacht Awards.

The yacht is kitted out with everything you could need at sea, catering especially for warmer climates where the guests can relax in the sun.

Beyonce and Jay Z can take up to 12 guests with them, and accommodate them in custom-built staterooms, including a full-beam master suite with private balcony and a VIP suite on the upper deck.

Let’s not count the crew of 13 to service all the guests, and the swimming pool, sauna or on-deck Jacuzzi.

The Galactica Star, which is priced at an estimated US$70 million, is not on the books as a charter vessel, so some people say that Jay Z may have dropped big money to make it his.

No doubt he negotiated a good price, and by chartering it out when not in use he may even turn a profit.

Before Jay Z bought it, the yacht belonged to Nigerian energy business magnate Kola Aluko, but in September, he sold it to the couple.

Apparently you can also rent this yacht, if you have US$900,000/ week and must be a personal connection to Kola Aluko or someone famous.

The control room is state of the art, featuring large touch-screen displays that can be used to drive the yacht for over 4,500 nautical miles on a single tank of fuel.

At night, the ship becomes beautifully lit and is the perfect location for hosting parties.

Last week, Rolls-Royce revealed one of its most astounding and opulent commissions yet: the aptly named Boat Tail . Rolls-Royce has a long history of beautiful coachbuilt cars but the Boat Tail is still something exceptional with its long body and the well-known 6.75-liter V12 engine that does duty in other Rolls models like the Phantom .

But the question is, which elite individual - or individuals - ordered this stunning Rolls with its price tag of around $28 million? Well, a new report by The Telegraph indicates that the bespoke Boat Tail was likely commissioned by none other than power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z.

Perhaps the duo felt outdone by Drake's custom Rolls-Royce Cullinan or maybe they just wanted a car of unsurpassed luxury but the couple clearly has the means to acquire this beauty. "It's thought this fantastic car has been commissioned by Beyonce and Jay-Z, with all its detailing matching their favorite things," said an unnamed source.

What are those details? For one, the couple is known to enjoy outdoor picnicking and the Boat Tail comes with a rear deck that dramatically opens with butterfly-like wings to reveal bar stools and a cocktail table. It's preposterous and wonderful at the same time. There are a few other clues that Beyonce and Jay-Z commissioned this car.

Apparently, the Boat Tail has a fridge set at six degrees Centigrade. This is the exact temperature required to store a bottle of Armand de Brignac, said to be the owner's favored drink. The blue color of the leather could be a link to the couple's child, Blue Ivy, too. There is also a spot on the dash to hold a wristwatch and use that as a clock - Jay-Z is known for his exclusive watch collection.

"I enjoyed many meetings with the owner and his wife at their home," said Alex Innes who heads up coachbuild design for Rolls-Royce. "They were wonderfully welcoming."

Allegedly, both the music stars signed the engine manifold and other hidden areas of the lavish convertible when it was built. A hard knock life? Not anymore.

Tourists in Europe have once again outraged locals with their uncouth behavior — this time, taking a dip in front of a cemetery in Venice.

Two men, who were spotted by commuters on a water bus in the Italian city, left their clothes in front of the San Michele Cemetery last week and entered the murky water.

Isola di San Michele, which consists of a cemetery and church, is an island in the Venetian Lagoon, located between Venice and Murano.

Tourists are drawn to the island to see the graves of well-known people, including famous Russian-born composer Igor Stravinsky.

One Venetian labeled the behavior “Shameful. Rude. Ignorant,” while another, who agreed it was poor, said the tourists had “no respect at all.”

“I’m at a loss for words,” a third wrote.

“In other countries, they’d have been arrested, fined heavily, and then sent home with a boot,” argued a fourth.

People are only allowed to swim in certain areas of Venice, such as public beaches, and not the canals or other bodies of water in the city’s residential areas, because of both boats and unsanitary conditions.

You can be fined and banned from the city for doing so.

Tensions are already high between tourists and locals in the Italian holiday hotspot.

It is widely acknowledged there is a major problem with tourism in Venice, but how to deal with it is a contentious matter.

For the first time this year, Venice introduced an $8 entry fee for day trippers during the peak season. Tourist groups have also been capped at 25 people.

Venice isn’t the only city facing concerns of overtourism, with holiday hotspots across the world looking desperately for new ways to cope with a massive boom in tourism post-COVID.

In the meantime, locals are getting fed up.

Last month, visitors dining in the Spanish city of Barcelona were  squirted with water pistols,  and a tourist was slammed as an “absolute disgrace” for  climbing a statue to perform lewd poses  in Florence, Italy.

Pictures of the woman with a statue of Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, were shared on the “Welcome to Florence” Instagram page, which has more than 200,000 followers.

In one image, the woman had her legs wrapped around the statue’s waist and arms around his neck as she appeared to kiss him.

In a second image, the woman was bent over with her behind pressed against the statue.

“This is the result of years of trying to turn Florence into Disney World,” one top comment read.

“Yuck, Florence is becoming a circus,” wrote another offended local.

Oslo, Norway, has cleverly used the issue of crowding in other European cities to its advantage.

Its  latest tourism ad  stars an expressionless 31-year-old resident named Halfdan who claims the Norway capital feels more like a village than a city.

“If you don’t have to stand in line for a couple of hours, is it even worth seeing?” he says while visiting a museum.

Turning to dining, Halfdan complains: “Sometimes I just walk right in off the street and get a table, and I’m not even famous. I mean, what does that tell you?”

According to a new report published by Forbes, the "99 Problems" rapper is now worth $2.5 billion — $1.1 billion more than the outlet reported in 2021.

The lofty figure makes Jay rap's wealthiest star by a large margin. Diddy is his closest competitor with a net worth of around $1 billion, according to former Forbes editor Zack O'Malley.

"Even in a year without a tour or album release, Jay-Z mints millions from his Armand de Brignac champagne and D'Usse cognac," said Forbes.

The report also cited the 53-year-old mogul's ownership of Roc Nation, and "a fine art collection including works by Jean-Michel Basquiat."

It also noted Jay's venture capital firm, Marcy Venture Partners, which according to Tech Crunch  closed its second fund in 2021 with $325 million in capital commitments.

Jay has, of course, made a pretty penny from selling his records too.

According to Best Selling Albums, he's sold over 41 million albums worldwide, with his best-selling record being his second studio album, "Vol. 2... Hard Knock Life," which has shipped 5.5 million copies worldwide.

One of Jay's records that never sold a copy was an unreleased collaboration with Michael Jackson on a version of his 2001 hit "Girls, Girls, Girls."

It was previously believed the collaboration between the two superstars was merely a rumor, but earlier this month,  Just Blaze, who produced the album version of the track, revealed he found the recordings while searching his computer a couple of years back.

"I find this folder that says 'MJ vocals,'" Blaze recalled. "And I'm like, 'MJ? Don't that mean Michael Jackson?"

"And I realize as I'm listening to it, it's him singing on 'Girls, Girls, Girls.' And I'm like, it's true," he added. "Like I never, the last 20 years... I just found it during quarantine. So all these years, I've never known it was actually a real thing. And turns out the files had been sitting downstairs this entire time."
