Crew was great, and small group made for very little annoyance from crowds. Boat was perfect, move around as desired. Check-in location was a bit vague, could use a sign.

What an amazing few hours onboard with Royal Catamaran! We booked two spaces on a shared catamaran and were pleasantly surprised when we discovered there was only going to be four of us in total! The catamaran was amazing - well maintained and with lots of fun water toys to play with. We made good use of the SUPs and the crew gave us plenty of time to relax and swim in the sea.

Great experience! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially that a friend of mine was not feeling well during the trip. A shame that we didn't get to see dolphins though but overall, great trip!

An excellent trip to do with Teenagers. The captain and crew provided a great service and ensured everyone had a great experience whilst on board. Definitely recommend this trip.

Brilliant day out relaxed and chilled swimming in the sea and paddle boarding which was great fun .plenty of drinks and snacks super hosts . No dolphins it they are not a guarantee as they are a wild animal.

Loved the experience, crew were friendly, helpful and Professional all my family had an amazing time…. Gave us some fruits and snacks which was fresh and delicious, had some water games, and music speaker.

Search underway for 2 accused of stealing pricey yacht from Dinner Key Marina

COCONUT GROVE, FLA. (WSVN) - City of Miami Police are on the search for two men who were caught on camera stealing a couple’s prized yacht.

The boat owner, Daniela Salazar, said their 55-foot Azimut Atlantis yacht, valued at around $600,000, was stolen from the Dinner Key Marina in Coconut Grove on Monday.

The family found out about the theft as they prepared to take their family out on the water this weekend.

Surveillance video from the marina shows two men in black hoodies walking into the marina that was open at the time for painting.

One of the subjects was wearing a baseball hat with shorts, while the other one was wearing his sweater with the hood up and sneakers.

In another video, the subjects are seen untying the boat from the marina dock as one of them gets onto the vessel. It took them five minutes to start the yacht and pull away from the boat slip.

In an interview with 7News over the phone, Salazar said she believes their boat was targeted.

“And they just very casually just jumped on the boat. They knew what they were doing, 100%,” she said. “They knew how to manage the boat, they knew how to take the ropes off, the shore power, just very, very comfortable with what they were doing at the moment.”

Salazar pointed out that the reason the two men were able to enter the marina was because crews were painting the gates, so the door was wide open.

The camera that captures people entering and leaving the marina was covered with tape to prevent paint splatter.

“It’s strange, it’s crazy. I mean, if it was a public marina, OK, but this is a private marina that has high security, and the door happened to be wide open and the camera covered,” said Salazar.

Now, Salazar wants the boat thieves caught and her yacht, called Bloop Bloop, returned.

“I hope that we can recover this boat, because it means a lot to us,” she said. “It’s part of our family, of our memories, and I mean, it’s just sad that people can take things that we work hard for and that we cherish.”

Salazar said the yacht is not able to be pulled by a car, so they believe it is in the water.

The family wants the public to reach out to Miami Police or the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission if they see the yacht.

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.

Two more crash victims identified as Monroe Co. boat club plans fundraiser, vigil for victims

Two injured victims from Saturday's crash at the Swan Boat Club in Berlin Township have been revealed as the boat club announced it will host a spaghetti dinner event to raise money for victims of the crash along with a candlelight vigil.

The boat club plans to host a dinner from 1-7 p.m. May 19 at Fireman's Park in Newport, about 5 miles northwest of the boat club, officials said in a post on social media. A candlelight vigil, meanwhile, is planned at 7 p.m. Friday at the club, 6332 Brancheau Road.

"You asked and we listened, we are very overwhelmed/thrilled/excited at the outpouring of support from our community!" said the boat club about the fundraiser, which will also honor first responders. "... We are asking for basket donations,  gift cards, etc to raffle off."

The fundraiser and vigil come amid other fundraising appeals, including two more GoFundMe campaigns to help with funerals, medical expenses and therapy for victims and their families reeling from the crash at the boat club where a birthday party for a 3-year-old was being held.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office on Monday identified the two children killed as siblings Alanah Phillips, 8, and Zayn Phillips, 4. They died at the scene, police said.

Nine others were hospitalized.

Krystal Miller said her 14-year-old son was one of the critically injured children in the crash, describing the incident as "a tragedy that no words can express."

Miller's son "was hit so hard by the car it broke his femur bone at the hip," she said on a GoFundMe page . "He also lost 2 baby cousins in this incident and almost another cousin which is also his best friend..."

In another fundraising page, Diane Medina was attending the birthday gathering with her three granddaughters and was seriously injured, according to Carrie Williams, a GoFundMe campaign organizer who set up the page to help with her care. The granddaughters "by the grace of god they were not seriously injured," Williams added.

Medina "sustained serious injuries which include but (are) not limited to internal bleeding, fractured pelvis in (three) places requiring surgery with another one possible, a broken nose which requires surgery, laceration to her head and large hematoma to her right arm," Williams said.

Fundraiser organizer Diane Harrington provided an update Tuesday on her sister, Mariah Dodds, and nephew, Jayden Phillips, who underwent surgery Sunday, according to her  GoFundMe campaign . Harrington said the mother and son were in "more stable condition."

"Thank you to the funeral homes, cemeteries, churches, and continued donations for the family," Harrington said. "At this time arrangements are on hold until Mariah and Jayden are in a more stable condition for such decisions and planning. May God bless your kindness."

Another  GoFundMe page was created for Lia, a recent graduate. She was reportedly listed in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital in Trenton. She was attending her cousin’s birthday party Saturday, the GoFundMe page said.

Three women, ages 66, 62, and 57, suffered minor injuries. A 42-year-old man also sought treatment on his own for minor injuries, the Sheriff's Office said.

Different epochs

Taking a walk along the Moskva River by boat, you will witness the architecture of Moscow from different eras and styles. Archaeological studies indicate that already in the XI century there stood a fortified settlement on Borovitsky hill, which is now called the Kremlin. Little fortress could not accommodate all the residents of the rapidly growing city, and the Grand Duke ordered the construction of a new Kremlin, larger than the former.

Nicholas Perervinsky monastery was founded at the time of the Battle of Kulikov (1380). Monasteries and temples

• Novospassky Monastery
• Founded in the 13th century on the site where now is located the Danilovsky monastery. After a few decades, in 1330, Ivan Kalita moved the monastery onto the Borovitskii hill of the Kremlin. However, in the 15th century, Spassky Monastery again moved, this time to a more spacious place on Krasnoholmskaya waterfront.
• Church of St. Nicholas in Zayaitskom
• Erected in the middle of the XVIII century in baroque style. The building survived after the 1812 fire, but the utensils were destoyed. Parishioners collected donations and restored the temple on their own. In Soviet times, it was closed and re-opened only in 1992.
• Cathedral of Christ the Savior
• The church was originally erected in honor of the victory over Napoleon and was being under construction for long 44 years. Notoriously demolished in 1937 to be a giant swimming pool under open sky. The current building was constructed in 1990s. It is the tallest and one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world.
• The temple was built in 1679-82, during the reign of Tsar Fedor Alekseevich, in late Muscovite Baroque style and can be characterized as bonfire temple. Each gable is a symbol of a heavenly fire.
• Novodevichy Convent
• The most famous concent and monastery in Moscow, presumably founded in 1524. Novodevichy’s status has always been high among other monasteries, it was in this monastery where the women of the royal blood, the wives of Tsars and local rulers of Moscow were kept in prison as nuns.
• St. Andrew’s church  (male acts as Compound Patriarch of Moscow)
• St. Andrew’s church stands right on the slopes of the Sparrow Hills, on the way down to the Moskva River, on the territory of the Nature Reserve “Sparrow Hills”. The monastery is small in size but is very cozy. It’s situated in a quiet courtyard surrounded by temples, fruit trees and flowers.

CALIFORNIA YACHT CLUB

Founded originally in 1922 by yachtsmen including Charles Hathaway and Frank Garbutt, the California Yacht Club's first clubhouse was built in Wilmington, CA in Los Angeles' inner harbor (berths nos. 192 & 193), just opposite Terminal Island. Close by were the yards of renowned yacht builders Wilmington Boat Works and Fellows & Stewart (second location). In the club's inaugural year, member yachtsmen formed the first Star class fleet on the Pacific coast. Involved in all aspect of the sport, the club has encouraged a variety of pleasure boating, first in Los Angeles Harbor, and now in Santa Monica Bay.

Over the years CYC has been the club for numerous prominent yachtsmen including Merritt Adamson, Pierpont Davis, Roy E. Disney, J. Paul Getty, Samuel K. Rindge, William Stewart, James Kilroy and navigator extraodinaire, Ben Mitchell. Movie mogul Cecil B. DeMille once served as a trustee of the club and donated a gold cup for powerboat racing. Comedy film producers Al Christie and Hal Roach were both deeply involved in club activities in the twenties and thirties.

Power boating has always been a part of the club's mission along with sailing and rowing. The first CYC powerboat regatta was run in 1922 and the winner was none less than the famous Gar Wood in his Harmsworth Trophy winner Miss America. CYC's Catalina Challenge race for powerboats has been run annually since 1922.

A fire on Thanksgiving Day, 1930 severely damaged the original clubhouse although the heroic efforts of some members saved all of the trophies.

In 1932, several CYC members figured prominently in the sailing events at the Los Angeles Olympic Games. Owen Churchill, inventor of the SwimFin, won the gold medal in the Eight-Metre Class with Angelita.

Unfortunately, the club was forced to relinquish its key location in the East Basin to the Coast Guard for the war effort in 1941. A dormant period followed.

With the development of the long-awaited Marina Del Rey in the early 1960s, the club reformed in '63 and elected Fritz Overton, Commodore in 1923, as head of the "new" club. In 1966, they opened the modern clubhouse and marina facility that is their home today. The radial design of the building allows sweeping panoramic views of the marina.

The California Yacht Club is owned by the Hathaway family, owners of the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The annual "Great Catalina to Marina del Rey Rowing and Paddling Event" pays tribute to Charles Hathaway's row in 1976 from Catalina Island to the club on his 50th birthday.

The unique combination of private ownership and annually elected flag officers has worked well to establish California Yacht Club as one of the outstanding clubs in the nation.
