We had an amazing time on the boat. The entire experience was memorable: from discussions with Jacqui, instructions before the trip, and especially the time on the water. It was great to have the boat all to ourselves, and we were very lucky to have amazing weather. I highly recommend this boat, the owner Jacqui, and the crew. Will definitely be back!

We had a great outing with my family and friends to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. The views were beautiful, the water was calm and the weather was lovely. We saw penguins and dolphins swimming near by. The crew was very friendly, helpful and informative. My mom is unable to walk long distances and in some cases uses a wheelchair. We were required to traverse some stairs to get onto the pier, but were able to get on board with my mom's wheelchair, which the crew were able to secure safely out of the way. Thanks for a great experience!

Our team thoroughly enjoyed the trip and we would highly recommend this listing to anyone. The team was very friendly and made us all feel very welcome. We enjoyed the music and onboard bar. We also saw some nice fish and the staff did give us some nice facts about it.

We had a truly magical experience! The crew, including Lungi, Edwin, Josh, Mikela, and Ivan, were exceptional. They all went above and beyond to accommodate all of our guests. The crew did a fantastic job of providing us with a truly memorable experience. They skillfully guided us to a location where we could observe whales, and then they directed us towards a magnificent sunset.

Great trip!! Both captain and crew were awesome and super fun to talk with. They really seemed to know their stuff. We had a great time and look forward to going on another fishing expedition with them. Note, location is about an hour outside Cape Town but Ubers were cheap so no issues.

A substantial, well equipped boat with a friendly and flexible captain. When we struggled to find fish at first, we were given some options to catch smaller fish or squid or keep going for the big fish. Eventually we found the fish and it was a great thrill. I will not only recommend this charter to my friends, i will be back myself.

Langebaan is located on the West Coast Way Foodie Route   The white sand beaches surrounding the clear waters of the Langebaan Lagoon are very popular, and the mild climate and protected waters of the lagoon make it the perfect location for many water sports, including sailing, kayaking, kitesurfing, and fishing. Even if you are a beginner, you can still enjoy Langebaan Lagoon. Most of the water sport shops and centers offer kitesurfing lessons, sailing lessons, water skiing lessons and windsurfing lesson. Langebaan’s Main Beach is great for beginner and intermediate kitesurfers with more than enough room for everyone. The wind almost always picks up by mid-afternoon. At the end of the main beach, a patch of sand near the yacht club has been dubbed “Second Beach” by locals and is popular among fishermen, bait collectors, and catamarans.

Langebaan is an internationally acclaimed Ramsar Site for its importance as a wetland and the tidal mud flats of the lagoon not only host many local bird species but also attract migratory birds every year. Thousands of seabirds roost on sheltered islands, pristine golden beaches stretch endlessly into the early morning mist and brooding salt marshes are home to vast concentrations of migrant waders from the northern hemisphere.

Close to the town, at Langebaanweg, is the West Coast Fossil Park – the only fossil park in South Africa. It’s home to the ancient Big Five that once roamed this area. Visitors can enjoy an informative tour of a fossil dig and hunt for their own fossils, and there is biking, hiking, and horse riding through the park.

Thali Thali Game Lodge A pristine, privately owned game and fynbos reserve which is home to abundant bird-and-wildlife. About Elite Charters

The spectacular seaside town of Langebaan showcases the natural beauty of the Cape West Coast to perfection. To make the most of this prime positioning, Elite Charters introduces visitors to South Africa and the Western Cape from some of the most scenic vantage points.

Elite Charters operates from the Club Mykonos Marina and offers private yacht and Catamaran charters. These are conducted mainly around the Langebaan Lagoon, West Coast Nature Reserve and Club Mykonos. However, different tours are available. Long- and short-term charters are on offer, making Elite Charters an ideal choice for holiday charters, private events and celebrations, teambuilding initiatives, and corporate events.

The Catamaran is 39 feet long and can accommodate 40 guests. It is equipped with braai facilities, a bar, and catering services. The yacht is perfect for honeymooning couples or intimate events that demand privacy and elegance. Rubber duck rides for up to 10 folk are always fun and exciting, and make for great family outings or corporate teambuilding. The Elite Wetbikes can accommodate up to two people and are loads of fun. Explore the Langebaan Lagoon on a guided tour while getting your fill of adventure and watersports one on of these.

THE LYC OVERVIEW

T he  Langebaan Yacht Club  was founded on 24 April 1982. The Club is based on the edge of the  beautiful Langebaan Lagoon  and provides recreational amenities for members, which include  Boating, Sailing, Kayaking, Angling  and general social activities.

The Club is structured as a  family club  and safety of all its members is governed through a well-structured Constitution and a comprehensive set of House Rules and Bylaws.

As the Club is based on the edge of the Lagoon, a declared  Ramsar site  and operates from within  SANparks  controlled waters, c onservation and protection of the Lagoon’s resources for the good of future generations is high on the Agenda at all times.
