Lil Yachty Announces "The Field Trip" Tour
Lil Boat will be heading across North America and Europe on his 39-date tour.
Lil Yachty will be hitting the road in support of his latest album, Let’s Start Here . The Quality Control signee took to Instagram where he announced The Field Trip tour, which will being him across 39 dates in North America and Europe. The tour launches on September 21st in Washington, DC at Echostage before he heads to cities like New York, Toronto, London, Berlin, Las Vegas and more. While he’ll be closing out the tour in Detroit on Nov. 5th there, unfortunately, won’t be any scheduled stops in his hometown of Atlanta.
Yachty’s upcoming tour feels like it could sell out quickly. For those who want to scoop up tickets, artist pre-sale are live on May 10th at 10 a.m. local time while Europe pre-sale is available at 1 pm BST. General public sales will be available on May 12th at 10 a.m. in North America and 12 p.m. in Europe. Given Yachty’s recent experimental sound, it feels like The Field Trip Tour ‘23 will allow his new sound to shine in front of a live audience.
Lil Yachty’s “Field Trip” Tour
It’s unclear what Lil Yachty has up his sleeve but the rapper’s hinted at using a live band in the past. At the beginning of the year, he held tryouts for an all-women band, which he later debuted during his performance at Saturday Night Live earlier this year. The rapper performed “the BLACK seminole” and “drive ME crazy!” during his SNL with the backing of his new band. It seems likely that they’ll be joining him on the road as well.
In addition to diving into psychedelic rock, Yachty’s levelled up his raps, as well. The release of “Poland” seemingly kicked off a new era in his career. He recently followed it up with “ Striker (Holster) .” Maybe another album is on the way soon. Check out the tour dates below for Yachty’s upcoming tour.

Big news for Lil Yachty fans. Today (May 9), the Atlanta star announced “The Field Trip Tour,” which will kick off in North America this fall. In addition, those in Europe will also have a chance to catch the Quality Control-signed talent on stage later in the year.
Said tour will be in promotion of Yachty’s latest album, Let’s Start Here . That project consisted of 14 experimental cuts and assists from Teezo Touchdown, Justine Skye, Fousheé, Daniel Caesar, and more. The project is considered one of his best to date — it also peaked within the top 10 of the Billboard 200 following its debut. Given the range of his eclectic discography, Yachty will certainly have plenty for concert attendees to enjoy once the tour hits their town.

Yachty will launch the tour in Washington, D.C. on September 21 and aims to bring his new album to other major cities like New York, New Orleans, Denver, Las Vegas and more before he wraps up his North American leg in Detroit on November 5. The tour comes in support of his experimental LP Let's Start Here. The 14-track project shocked fans after he completely switched up his style for his innovative project, which he said was inspired by his love for Pink Floyd . "There’s a lot of kids who haven’t heard any of my references," Yachty told Billboard . "They don’t know anything about Bon Iver or Pink Floyd or Black Sabbath or James Brown. I wanted to show people a different side of me — and that I can do anything, most importantly." Lil Yachty recently gave fans a taste of what to expect from his upcoming world tour during his debut performance on NBC's Saturday Night Live . He stood at the helm of the stage while surrounded by faux-shrubbery, an all-female band and blue skies. Yachty performed songs off the album like “the BLACK seminole” and “drive ME crazy!” Tickets for the tour are currently on sale now. Check out the full list of dates below.

Yachty is still riding the wave of success stemming from his appearance on D.R.A.M.’s ‘Broccoli” record. Not only did he notch himself a Grammy nomination, but he also was enlisted by Nautica to serve as their creative designer earlier this month.

Lil yatchty performed well. I loved how much water he threw in the crowed and the energy. The only problem was the crowed too squished together in the front so it was uncomfortable. If the people in the back took a couple steps back tho the problem would have been solved. But the show was worth the money and very enjoyable.

The sremm life tour was my first concert. And it was extremely good!!! I had so much fun. Lil yachty and burberry were spraying water on everyone and he told us to make a mosh pit, he has alot of energy to really hype the crowd up. If your thinking about seeing lil yachty I recommend you go!
Lil Yachty was a massive let down. After waiting for him to come out it was hard to listen to his voice that he claims he lost. He sounded nothing less than horrible and the crowd had more energy from the DJ than they did for the person they came to see. 2/10
Lil yachty and everyone on the stage had a good connection with the audience and their perforemance were dope as hell. I enjoyed the show alot, it was really fun. Looking forward to yachtys next concert here in Stockholm, Sweden.
One of the best shows I have seen. He was so full of life, fun to watch, funny and made it a memorable night. The lights, dancing and song choice was spot on. I hope he comes to Baltimore again so I can go back. LIL BOAT!
This is my second time seeing him and yet again Amazing stage presence, full of energy, really got the crowd going and we was given a massive surprise with an appearance and short performance from Asap Rocky and Tyga!
The concert was wild especially in NYC perfect Venue. A lot of mosh pits coming from a lil yachty concert. During his performance he brings out A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg, very unexpected.
Him and Burberry Perry have mad stage presence and know how to get the crowd hyped. The only downside of the show is that he flicks water hard into your eyes though so bring goggles.
Yachty was so good live. The energy was amazing, and you can tell he loves the fans. He took a while to come out but if you love concerts and go with your friends, it's worth it.
It was bananas im glad i went i met so many cool ppl YACHTY was phenomenal the venve was huge good air i had funn i hope he comes back next year i will definitely be going

Lil Yachty Announces European Tour
Lil Yachty's debut album Teenage Emotions is still in the works, but the Atlanta MC is already prepared to set sail to Europe for a tour.
The 2016 XXL Freshman revealed the news on Friday (Jan. 27), posting an ad for the tour on his Instagram page. "Sailing To Europe 👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾 Get your tickets if they not sold out in your city already," he captioned the pic.
Starting on Feb. 24, the tour will make nine stops in major cities like London, Amsterdam, Paris and Brussels, before closing out on March 5 in Stockholm, Sweden.
Earlier this month, Boat revealed the name of his debut album during an interview with MTV. He also revealed that he hopes the project will give him more credibility in the eyes of his naysayers. “My fans are so loyal and dedicated that I don’t care that much about winning people over, but I know it’s gonna change and people will eventually give my shit a chance, bro,” he said. “That’s why I’m working so hard on this album, not to please other people but I’m just really trying, bro, to show people that like, I’m not just fucking bad!”
Earlier this week, Yachty updated fans, saying the album is close to being finished. "It's coming I promise, I just want it to be really fire first. Almost. Like 79% done," he tweeted. No official release date has been provided for the project.

Lil Yachty’s Alleged Reference Track Surfaces for Drake Song Everyone Already Knew He Co-Wrote
Yachty has been credited as a writer and co-producer on "Jumbotron Sh*t Poppin" since its 2022 release, not to mention several other 'Her Loss' tracks.
Lil Yachty ’s alleged reference track for Drake ’s solo Her Loss cut " Jumbotron Shit Poppin " is making the rounds on social media.
The alleged leak sees Yachty running through the 2022 track, the official video for which famously featured the " Summer Games " sequel denier rocking millions of dollars' worth of Pharrell's old jewelry , albeit with a number of small lyrical differences. Namely, the chorus-opening "We ain't even out in Turks" line is entirely absent.
Yachty, who also picked the cover art for Drake and 21 Savage ’s first joint album together, hadn't addressed the alleged leak at the time of this writing, nor should he be expected to do so. Akademiks, meanwhile, has claimed that Metro Boomin is involved with the alleged leak, though no such claim has been confirmed. The alleged leak appears to have first surfaced via Twitter user @notbobbalam , who claimed on Sunday that they had received it "from a random Atlanta number."
Uploaded to SoundCloud if you want it 🤷♂️ https://t.co/jdWLocCVaF — Bobbalam (@notbobbalam) April 15, 2024
Yachty, of course, has been credited as a writer on "Jumbotron Shit Poppin" since its 2022 release. In fact, Drake and Yachty are joined by 12 other names in the track's official writing credits. Her Loss ' other Yachty co-writing credits include "Major Distribution," "BackOutsideBoyz," "Privileged Rappers," "Circo Loco," and "Pussy & Millions." The best-dressed rapper of 2023 also received several co-production credits on the album, including for "Jumbotron Shit Poppin."
To be clear, circulating alleged reference tracks when it comes to Drake is not the diss some seem to think that it is. Yachty, specifically, has been vocal about his work with Drake, telling Ecleen Luzmila Caraballo for Complex just last September that it "just so happens that one of my friends is one of the biggest artists in the world." Not to mention, and as we just established above, the credits for such work are publicly available.
To be even clearer, and speaking more generally here, a writing credit on any given song doesn’t necessarily mean that the individual being credited contributed substantially to the composition in question, nor does it negate the contributions of the main artist. A credit can come about by something as simple as being in the room and bouncing ideas at the time of a song's creation.
Furthermore, to still be hung up on songs that boast multiple writing credits ignores the fact that this practice is (and has been) employed across all genres, from rock (blink-182’s latest No. 1 album is a fine example of this collaborative approach) to country (Morgan Wallen’s "Last Night" counts four writers, none of whom are Wallen) to, yes, rap.
In short, sharing an alleged reference track proves nothing other than a straws-grasping approach being employed by some amid the battle for the Drakeiverse.

The American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer – whose real name is Miles Parks McCollum – took to the stage at the Indio festival last night, in what was the final day of the first weekend.
Initially, the intense set by Yachty kicked off with the rapper performing five back-to-back tracks from his 2023 album, ‘Let’s Start Here’. Walking on the stage as ‘the BLACK seminole’ was played over a tape, he launched into ‘IVE OFFICIALLY LOST ViSiON!!!!’ and ‘THE zone~’, before delivering renditions of ‘pRETTy’ and ‘running out of time’ – which he performed alongside Justine Skye – and ‘drive ME crazy!’.
From there, fan favourites including ‘Flex Up’ and ‘Coffin’ were embedded in the 21 song setlist, as well as covers of BRAM’s ‘Broccoli’ and ‘ON THE RADAR CONCRETE CYPHER’ by Concrete Boys.
However, it was towards the end of the set that Yachty delivered one of the most noteworthy moments – bringing out slacker-pop king Mac DeMarco as a surprise guest.
Here, the two came together to perform two tracks from DeMarco’s discography. The first of which was ‘On The Level’ – taken from DeMarco’s 2017 album ‘This Old Dog’ – while the second was ‘Chamber Of Reflection’, shared 10 years ago as part of the ‘Salad Days’ LP.

Lil Yachty’s 2024 Coachella setlist was:
‘IVE OFFICIALLY LOST ViSiON!!!!’ ‘THE zone~’ ‘pRETTy’ ‘running out of time’ (with Justine Skye) ‘drive ME crazy!’ ‘Coffin’ ‘Split / Whole Time’ ‘NBAYOUNGBOAT’ ‘Flex Up’ ‘Minnesota’ ‘Get Dripped’ ‘Broccoli’ (DRAM cover) ‘Gimme da Lite’ (Southside & Lil Yachty cover) ‘Poland’ ‘One Night’ ‘Strike (Holster)’ ‘ON THE RADAR CONCRETE CYPHER’ (Concrete Boys song) ‘On the Level’ (with Mac DeMarco) ‘Chamber of Reflection’ (with Mac DeMarco) ‘WE SAW THE SUN!’ ‘the BLACK seminole.’
The collaboration between the rapper and the singer-songwriter last night comes after the two joined forces on Yachty’s aforementioned 2023 album ‘Let’s Start Here’ . In the release, DeMarco is credited as a writer on two tracks – ‘Drive Me Crazy!’ and ‘Failure’.
The album also featured a huge number of additional guests other than DeMarco, including MGMT ’s Ben Goldwasser, Alex G , Daniel Caesar , Fousheé , Teezo Touchdown , Justine Skye and Diana Gordon.
Elsewhere in yesterday’s instalment of Coachella 2024, the night saw sets from Sublime , Blur and No Doubt , before Tyler, The Creator headlined that evening.
