Rotational Chief Engineer – 50m+ – Single season

• The yacht has a busy single season in the Med, used privately. During winter, the yacht will be based in Barcelona for maintenance periods. Due a 5 year survey next winter in initial build shipyard. 
• The yacht is maintained to a very high standard and is in good shape, build chief still on board. 
• The position requires a minimum Y2 or SV Chief 9000kW ticket. 
• You will ideally have prior chief engineer experience, however, they will consider a candidate looking for their first chief role if you have considerable experience running an engine room, plus longevity in previous roles. 
• Salary is €8,500 + discretionary bonus. 
• Rotational – 2:2.

Temporary 3rd Engineer – 60m+ – Maintenance & Atlantic crossing

We're working with a 60m+ yacht who are looking for a temporary 3rd engineer. 

• You will join the yacht for a yard period to complete warranty works, followed by an Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean along with the chief and 2nd engineer. 
• Lovely team and great captains. 
• You  must  have a minimum Engine Room Watch Rating certificate, if you hold your EOOW Unlimited ticket this will be seen as an advantage. AEC2 qualifications will not be considered. 
• The position requires prior yacht experience as you will be expected to be hands on and hit the ground running.

Head Chef required for a lovely 80m + dual season private/charter motor yacht.  

-We are looking for an organised and efficient Head Chef with previous experience on similar-sized vessels. You will be responsible for the running of the galley as well as managing the team, made up of 2 rotational Sous Chefs and a Crew Chef, all whilst liaising with the other rotational Head Chef. This vessel is a busy charter program so it is important that you have previous experience with charters, likewise, knowledge of the American market and clientele will be advantageous. 

-The successful candidate will be diverse in cuisine styles, great with admin and have experience of managing a similar-sized galley team. You will also ideally have a restaurant background. 

-Wonderful Captains, Sous Chefs and Crew Chef onboard who are all highly experienced, with a tight-knit wider crew as well.

-Must have a B1B2 visa in hand and Schengen if applicable.  

-Salary 9,000 dollars per month. They have historically done very well with tips in the past too. 

-Start date will be flexible depending on availability but will ideally be within the next few months. 

-2:2 rotation on offer.

Rotational AVIT / ETO – 100m+ – Heavy Charter

We're working with a fantastic 100m+ yacht who are looking for a rotational AVIT Officer / ETO to join their crew.

• Busy, dual season yacht with a heavy charter focus. 
• You must hold an EOOW Unlimited ticket to be considered for this position under manning requirements for the yacht. 
• They are looking for someone with strong AV / IT knowledge and experience who also has the commercial background and ticket. Ideally a commercial engineer who has solid and proven experience with AVIT and electrical work as part of previous roles on yachts (80m+). 
• The position is a 10 week on/off rotation. 
• Salary is circa €7,000 – €7,500 (depending on experience) + excellent level of tips split equally between you and your rotational partner. 
• Start date is mid October. 

Rotational Chief Engineer – 50m – Single Season

We're working with a 50m yacht who are looking for a rotational chief engineer to join their crew.

• The yacht is single season Med based, but used regularly throughout the summer with maintenance periods in between, so you will be busy!

• This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting program with extensive crew longevity and with the potential to progress and move within the program over time
• The role itself will include both 2 nd officer and Chief officer duties, stepping up and stepping down during rotations
• The ideal candidate will have a solid yachting background but also hold their CM unlimited to allow them to step up and grow within the program
• The itinerary is very exciting with extensive cruising and off the beaten track destinations – full details TBD during initial calls
• Previous experience with ISM, ISPS, GMDSS essential along with good navigational and watch keeping experience
• Additional experience with Ice Navigation and large crane ops and operation of large tenders would be advantageous

Oceanwide Expeditions requires the following credentials and experience of all applicants to its expedition staff:

• A university degree in subjects relevant to the Arctic and Antarctica, or special field knowledge and experience in the areas where we operate
• Experience with small boat driving, preferably Zodiacs with outboard engines
• Experience with the safe handling of rifles (in the Arctic only)

Ship physicians (doctors)

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide medical services to guests, staff, and crew as required. This may include treating seasickness and minor injuries, such as strains, sprains, cuts, and fractures (Emergencies like acute coronary syndrome or appendicitis may also occur in our remote regions of travel)
• Attend to administrative duties, such as filling out medical reports and checking on patient medical histories, if necessary
• Maintain and update onboard medical inventory as required
• Be available for guests on the vessel and on shore
• Assist with other duties aboard the ship and on shore as needed by the expedition leader

Qualifications and requirements

• Internationally recognized university degree
• At least five years of recent experience as an emergency doctor
• English fluency, both spoken and written. Any additional European language is considered an advantage
• Experience with diving medicine preferred
• Contracted doctors are responsible for their own travel expenses to and from the vessel
• No financial renumeration is given, but accommodation in a private cabin is provided as well as tea, coffee, and all meals
• Please be willing to partake in Zodiac and shore-based activities, which will provide you ample opportunity to enjoy the polar regions with us

Stewardess - cc6993 - 40m motor yacht, role & responsibilities.

Calling all Stewardesses who are available right away!  Crew and Concierge are currently looking for a Stewardess to join a fantastic 40m Motor Yacht, which is part of a fleet of 3. The vessel is private and usually dual season, but this year the vessel will be heading to the yard (location to be confirmed). For the rest of the summer season, the vessel will be cruising the Med and you will join them in Spain. As the Stewardess, you will be part of a team of 2, working closely with the Chief Stewardess, who is super keen on training and guiding. To begin with, you will be focused back of house in housekeeping and laundry, before rotating throughout the whole interior. We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of one full season behind them, and can be available right away! This is a great opportunity, to join a fantastic vessel, working alongside a great crew, especially the Chief Stewardess. 

Permanent Position Start Date: ASAP by the 20th of August Salary: €3,000 - €3,500 DOE Holiday: 38 days

Chase Boat Captain - CC6992 - 20m Motor Yacht

We are looking for a couple to run a Brand New 20m Chase Boat. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced couple to be part of the latter build stages of a new chase boat to a new build 70m+ vessel. As the Chase Boat Captain, you must have some good engineering knowledge behind you and be confident to run a vessel. The boat will either head to the Caribbean with the mothership next season or be based in France for the winter. Third Officer - CC6991 - 70m Motor Yacht

We are looking for an experienced Bosun/Junior 3rd Officer to join a 70m+ new build Motor Yacht. You will ideally hold your OOW 3000 although we can consider someone who is close to finishing this. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to progress and develop under an exciting program. As the Bosun/OOW, your focus will be to oversee a deck team of 5 and primarily this is a 95% outside job. You MUST have previous experience with watch keeping, leading a team of a similar size and have strong tender driving skills. The vessel is both private and charter although will not start chartering until next year. Please only apply for this role if you are happy being out on deck and not in the bridge all the time. There is of course room to learn and progress.

Sole Chef - CC6989 - 45m Sailing Yacht

We are urgently looking for a Sole Chef to join a 45m Sailing Yacht for a 1-month temporary position. You would be joining the vessel ahead of a 10-day charter around Greece. As the Chef, you will be responsible for the entire galley, handling the maintenance, provisioning and menu planning, and catering for a crew of 7 and 8 guests while on trip. You must be confident in a range of cuisines, in particular Mediterranean, and be happy cooking a range of dietary requirements. Cruising the Mediterranean

Bosun - CC6981 - 50m Sailing Yacht

Are you a Bosun and already starting your search for the winter season? Take a look at this new role! We are looking for a Bosun to join a 50m Sailing Vessel in September/October. This is a dual-season, private yacht with a world cruising itinerary, including racing in the Antigua Superyacht Challenge and St Barth's Bucket with the rest of the plans, currently unconfirmed for 2025. You MUST hold your Yacht Master (as on deliveries you will be a watch leader) and have experience in diving. Tender driving and sailing is a MUST and a confident and trustworthy character would be ideal. As the Bosun you will be responsible for overseeing 2 other deckhands while providing guidance, organisation and supervision of deck operations. You will also be responsible for the deployment and storage of the toys and tenders and making sure the exterior is kept in excellent condition.

Second Officer - CC6978 - 55m Motor Yacht

We are looking for a Second Officer to work onboard a 55m Motor Yacht. This is a perfect position for a newly qualified OOW or experienced Bosun with their OOW in hand. The vessel is a busy private and charter and is usually dual season, however, they will be going into a yard period this winter in Spain. You will be in charge of managing 3 on Deck, a Lead and 2 Deckhands, so a confident leader and a friendly all-rounder is essential as well. There will be a 20/80 split between the bridge and the deck, and as the OOW you will have your own bridge watch whilst the vessel is underway. Stew/Masseur(euse) - CC6975 - 60m Motor Yacht

Calling all Stew/Masseuses who are still available this summer!

The interior department at Crew and Concierge is currently looking for an experienced Massage Therapist for a Stewardess/Masseuse role. This is for a 60m motor yacht, a new build that will be privately used and dual-season. The vessel is currently located in Europe which is where you will be joining them prior to the launch of the vessel. After launching, they will begin their summer with a couple of weeks of owner usage before heading back to the yard and then onto the Caribbean with the rest of the winter season to be confirmed. As the Stewardess/Masseuse, you will be working as part of an interior team of 5, initially starting back of house in housekeeping before rotating throughout the whole of the interior (if you would wish to stay in housekeeping, this is also possible). To be considered for this role, you MUST be an experienced Massage Therapist with land-based salon or spa experience therefore, we will consider someone new to the industry, however, yachting experience is favourable. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a great programme with an awesome crew. 

Permanent Position Start Date: ASAP within the next 2 weeks Salary: €3,500 Holiday: 90 days leave with additional paid leave when possible

Deck/Engineer - CC6969 - 32m Sailing Yacht

Are you looking for your next role? We are looking for a Deck/Engineer to join a 30m+ Sailing Yacht. You will join the vessel towards the end of the summer season before heading to Spain where you will then prepare for the Caribbean season. It's a busy private and charter vessel with a great team so this is a brilliant position for someone. Winter of 2025 will be spent in the yard going through a refit. We are looking for the candidate to have their AEC 1, and 2 in hand as well as a YM offshore. It's not essential that you are a sailor but someone who has a sailing background would be preferred.

Sole Engineer - CC6968 - 30m Sailing Yacht

Are you looking for your next position? Hope at Crew and Concierge is looking for a Sole Engineer to join a 30m+ Sailing Yacht. This is a busy private vessel that will be based in the yard in Europe until the end of the season, the plans if all goes well, will be to head to the Caribbean for the winter season and have a short season before back to the Med for the summer of 2025. The boat is involved in lots of regattas so although it's a bonus if you are a keen sailor, it's not essential as we are looking for the right candidate to fit the crew. You must have your AEC1&2 in hand already and be keen to get stuck in, it will be busy but there is so much room to learn. 

Salary - Starting at €4,000 Package - Standard holiday but good incentives and flexibility with more time off Start Date - As soon as the right candidate is found

Deck/Dive - CC6963 - 55m Sailing Yacht

Are you a Diver looking for a leadership position? We are looking for a Bosun to join a Private 55m+ Sailing Yacht. The vessel is currently in the yard and coning to the end of their extensive refit. They have an amazing itinerary with plans to start cruising the world in October/November time. To be considered you will need to hold your Yachtmaster as a minimum and have experience on a sailing yacht, this can be recreational sailing or in the yachting industry. Ideally, you will be working towards your OOW as well. You will need to hold your Padi or a Dive certificate to be considered for this role. As the Bosun, you will be responsible for guiding 1 Deckhand and overseeing all deck operations with the support of the First Mate.

Permanent - full time $5,000 60 Days of leave Start  - September time; we can wait for someone with a notice period or who is finishing up their season.

We are looking for a Housekeeper for this wonderful family in London. This is a Permanent, land-based Position - to apply please register with personal-staffing.com and apply directly from there. This role will involve working and travelling between various properties within Central London, so someone who drives and is fit and active is a must. We are looking for candidates who have worked for the UHNWI in the past and are used to the requirements that come with working in a large family office and household. Your responsibilities and role will include, but is not limited to cleaning and arranging guest rooms, washing clothing and linen, stocking and maintaining an inventory of housekeeping supplies, receiving visitors and showing guests around to name a few. You may also be asked to run errands and manage wardrobes as well. In some places, you may be asked to do the shopping or help the chefs with a little service. We are looking for well-presented, happy candidates with a good eye for detail. There is room for progression within this role as the team slowly grows. The team will get bigger and there will be room to develop! *You MUST be based within commutable distance of Central London, and prepared to move land-based. You also MUST have the right to live and work in the UK, and hold a valid, clean driving licence*

Sous Chef - CC6939 - 70m Motor Yacht

This is an exciting and busy role, where you will work closely with the Head Chef, assisting with the execution of high-quality crew and guest food! Baltic Sea blast: Doubts cast on Ukrainian involvement in Nord stream

- For me, the matter is still unclear. Especially regarding the operation itself in the Baltic Sea. It is more likely that the Russians are behind the damage to the Nord Stream pipeline,” says Marcin Faliński, a former officer of the Intelligence Agency and author of spy books.

Let us recall that the sabotage at the bottom of the Baltic Sea took place on September 26, 2022. Explosive materials exploded, damaging three strands of the Nord Stream I and II pipelines. According to German investigators, the suspect in blowing up Nord Stream is Ukrainian diver Volodymyr Z. A European Arrest Warrant has been issued for him.

"They used HMX"

According to the latest reports from "The Wall Street Journal," the Ukrainian operation cost about $300,000. It involved a small rented yacht with a six-person crew, including trained civilian divers. The yacht departed from the German port of Rostock. Its equipment included only diving gear, satellite navigation, portable sonar, and open seafloor maps showing the pipeline's location.

The German investigation also reveals that four divers worked in pairs. Operating in dark, icy waters, they used HMX, a powerful explosive also known as Oktogen, connected to time-controlled detonators. A small amount of the lightweight explosive was supposed to rupture high-pressure pipes.

According to Marcin Faliński, it sounds incredible that the entire operation was successful with just a yacht in the middle of the sea.

"It's not an easy place for such actions"

“Anyone who has sailed on the open sea knows that the conditions there are variable and tough. It is not a lake where you can stop, jump into the water, and swim just like that, especially since the Baltic is a restless sea. It's not an easy place for such actions. I find it hard to imagine technically, and I have significant doubts. The biggest is the lack of an expedition ship,” says Marcin Faliński, a former officer of the Intelligence Agency.

As he adds, it is difficult to imagine an independent action by Ukrainians without the knowledge of the Americans, whose services have been present in Ukraine, at least since the Russian invasion of Crimea in 2014.

“It is more probable that the Russians are behind the pipeline damage. Just compare the situations we are dealing with in Poland, such as arson or the arrests of saboteurs. Almost always, there is some Ukrainian thread. Either a passport, nationality, or company. Almost always, it pops up and intertwines,” reminds Faliński.

Ukraine denies involvement in Nord Stream pipeline attacks

According to "The Wall Street Journal," in May 2022, a handful of high-ranking Ukrainian army officers and businessmen gathered to celebrate their country's success in stopping the Russian invasion.

Under the influence of alcohol, in a patriotic fervor, someone suggested the next radical step: the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines. The plan was initially approved by President Volodymyr Zelensky. However, when the CIA learned about it and asked the Ukrainian president to halt the operation, he ordered the actions to stop. Despite this, the operation continued and was allegedly directed by Gen. Valerii Zaluzhnyi, now the Ukrainian ambassador to the United Kingdom. He assured that he knows nothing about any such operation and that any suggestions to the contrary are "ordinary provocation."

According to Marcin Faliński, every scenario is possible, but the sequence of events points to Russian services.

“I am inclined to assume that the explosives could have been placed by the Russians earlier and prepared for such an eventuality. Then the Russian services organized the operation with a Ukrainian diver and Ukrainian passport. They exploit the fact that Ukrainians haven't been active in this area for years. They add a company and a Ukrainian guy working on behalf of Russian services. They rent a yacht, have a sonar, sail to the indicated place, simulate diving. And simultaneously, at the same time, someone detonates the explosives... This looks like a Russian job,” assesses Marcin Faliński, a former intelligence officer.

Deckhand's main responsibility is the maintenance of the exterior of the yacht, including the following:

• Cleaning, polishing, sanding, painting and varnishing of all exterior surfaces on the yacht.
• Inspection and basic maintenance of all deck hardware, portholes, hatches and equipment.
• Line and sail handling and repair.
• Driving and maintenance of all yacht's tenders/toys.
• Assisting guests with toys and on excursions.
• Assisting other crew members as and when required, e.g. food deliveries, event setup, etc.

Small yachts have usually a single Deckhand. Large yachts have 4 or more Deckhands on-board.
