Enjoy a fabulous narrated tour of Frankenmuth on the Cass River aboard our family owned 150 passenger authentic paddlewheel riverboat, the Bavarian Belle. Boat has ramp access and the dock is handicap accessible as well! Restroom and on-board snacks available. Find us "At the Waterfall." Visit Thunder Bay Mining, next to the boat dock. Fun for Families! Open early May thru Mid October. Rates are $16 for Adults, $5 for Children 12-5, Children 4 and under are free.

“Frankenmuth's #1 Family Owned Riverboat”

Our family operates the Bavarian Belle riverboat, an authentic Stern Driven Paddlewheel riverboat. We offer a 1-hour historical narrated tour of the Frankenmuth area on our fully restored 150-passenger vessel. The Bavarian Belle is open air canopied on the upper deck and has a fully enclosed lower salon with restrooms. We offer a snack bar and soft drinks on board. The Bavarian Belle is located in the River Place Shopping village, docking at the waterfall. Our dock and lower level are handicap accessible. One hour trips are offered Monday - Saturday 11am till Dusk, (departing every 90min), and Sunday 12:30 till 6:30, (departing every 90min) Early May to Mid-October. Please call for pre-Memorial Day and post-Labor Day hours. Extended hours are available for Group Tours and Special Events (Weddings, Reunions, etc.). Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. Adult tickets are discounted to $9.00 for groups of 20 or more adults. Please keep in mind that our schedule can change with the weather, and will be at the Captain’s discretion.

Most Famous Restaurants in the The U.S.

Lovefood.com went on a search for the "must try" restaurants in each state where people from al lover the country are longing to enjoy a meal. They made their picks based on genuine user reviews, awards and accolades, and the first-hand experience of their team.

If you're up for a little road trip, Lovefood has declared St. Elmo Steakhouse in Indianapolis as the most famous restaurant in Indiana. Alinea in Chicago is the top pick for Illinois. In Ohio, you'll want to head to the Golden Lamb in Lebanon.

Michigan's Most Famous Restaurant

Lovefood's pick for the most famous restaurant in Michigan is the Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Lodge in  Frankenmuth .

The business was first founded as the Union House Hotel in 1888 by Theodore Fischer and later renamed “Fischer’s Hotel." It was purchased by the Zehnder family in the 1950s and transformed into the Bavarian Inn, in honor of Frankenmuth's German heritage. They instituted the authentic Bavarian exterior-stucco walls, woodcarving, flower boxes, and German entrees served by “Bavarian” costumed servers that the restaurant is well-known for.

More than a restaurant, the Bavarian Inn is a whole complex! There's  Emilie Eis Ice Cream and Candy Shop , stores, and a hotel. There's actually multiple restaurants too!

At the main Bavarian Inn , you'll find all-you-can-eat family-style meals, perhaps most famous being the Fried Chicken. The Bavarian Inn claims to have fed more than 20 million guests!

Oma's Restaurant  serves generous portions of breakfast and lunch, featuring German entrées and continental cuisine.

At Michigan on Main Bar and Grill , there is outdoor seating and the restaurant focuses on seasonal specialties and locally grown products.

You find soup, salad, sandwiches and entrees like German Sausage and Lake Superior Whitefish.

There's also the Lorelei Lounge and Schnitzelbank Biergarten .

There's plenty else to check out in Little Bavaria, as Frankenmuth  is home to Bronner's Christmas Store, the Frankenmuth Historical Museum, Bavarian Belle Riverboat, and more.
