trio 80 sailboat data

Description

Beautiful and well-maintained Trio 80 sailboat from 1981, designed by the renowned Swedish boat builder Hans Blomstergren. The Trio 80 boats were built in 200 units from 1978 to 1983. Trio 80 features a practical and contemporary layout with good use of space, including 5 berths, a cozy U-shaped seating area that can be converted into a double bed, a kitchen, and a toilet in a separate room with a sink. The engine is the reliable Yanmar YSM 8 engine, with oil and impeller changed every year. It always starts on the first try and runs flawlessly. It is saltwater-cooled, but full freshwater cooling is included. The engine was overhauled in 2007. The boat is suitable for both cruising and racing, and it is easy to handle, even for beginners and solo sailing. Trio 80 is known for its very reliable and stable sailing characteristics and is built with a great sense of practical details, maritime craftsmanship, with all woodwork of top quality. Included with the boat: Beautiful cockpit tent that has been very lightly used. Garmin GPS 525 chartplotter, Garmin Echo sounder Striker 4GPS, and Clipper Digital Windex. In addition, a Wallas oil heater with heat ducts throughout the boat is installed, although it has never been used. All bulbs have been replaced with LED lights. The boat has been continuously maintained and updated in the following areas: 2020: Water pump and hoses (galley + toilet) New holding tank that can be emptied on land or at sea. Johnson toilet New plastic water tank. Renovated ceiling throughout the boat. Anchor roller anchor line 24m 25mm Bow platform 2021: New mainsail New roller genoa All windows and window frames have been replaced. 50w Solar panel with automatic fuses 4 x 12V battery bank for consumption 2 x 12V for starting battery. Bonus: My help while buying a sailboat

Once you’ve read the book and completed the course, your next step is purchasing a sailboat. I am offering an exclusive gift to all my readers now: I will help you with purchasing online for free.

You can send me the sailboat options you’ve found for you and I will give you some tips and tell you which offer is good and worth buying and which one is not. I will also help you to find an inexpensive place for moorage and if you have any questions along the way — you can always text me and I will answer asap.

In fact, you get the purchase support for free!

SPECIAL OFFER: THE PACKAGE

Enter your email to purchase the package. After payment you will receive access by email.

A STEP-BY-STEP PLAN

By following this plan step by step, you can make your dream of your own sailboat come true. This is real!

Step 1. Buy the package

Buy the package: the course “A small sailboat captain” and my book with all the bonuses included.

Watch the course “A small sailboat captain” to find out how to handle a sailboat, what to check while purchasing and how to service the sailboat.

It’s also worth getting some practice in a class or with an experienced captain.

Read the book; it helps you to understand what kind of sailboat you need. You will find out your aims and make a plan to make this dream real.

Step 4. Buy a sailboat

Buy your own sailboat and I will help you online: you can text me your options with photos and a description and I will help you to understand which offer is good and which isn’t.

Step 5. Prepare the sailboat and get your own experience

You can sail in the Baltics, test the sailboat and prepare it for longer passages. I will tell you the place to moor the sailboat for only 200 euro for the whole season.

ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE

I have tried to answer the questions you may have.

The course gives core knowledge about yachting (the programme is similar to RYA or IYT but it is closer to practice and real issues). It also includes the information needed to purchase based on my own experience, i.e. I prepare you for owning a sailboat, not for a charter.

The course consists of short videos and each theme is a separate video. The information is easier to take in due to this format, plus you can easily find a particular theme to re-watch and spend 5–15 minutes refreshing your memory.

The course consists of 287 videos. For each topic we have a separate video from 2 to 30 minutes. Total duration of the course is 27 hours. The course has been done for more than six months, and a really big job has been done!

The course is focused on being an owner of a small sailboat (7–12 metres); these are the sailboats I usually show on my social networks.

Most yachting schools teach you based on the idea that you will rent a sailboat in the future. Besides, handling a small sailboat differs from handling the big sailboats which are used for practice in such schools. For example, setting the sails is done a bit differently, moorage processes differ and so on.

This is the knowledge you will not receive in most schools!

In my opinion, after you finish this course you will be more ready to own and make passages on a small sailboat. It is not self-advertisement, it is my point of difference. I am making the course for a certain purpose and it is different from the purpose of the schools. This course is made for the members of our societies in social networks; my aim is to tell you about all the nuances you will need to know.

What if I want to get an IYT (or similar) certificate?

You can undertake the practice in any school after watching the course, you will only need to pass the practice there.

I also have a very good instructor with a lot of experience of off-shore passages on different sailboats (her last passage lasted for almost 2 months – it was an ocean cruise without stops and she went from the Canaries to Capetown).

Her prices are reasonable and I can forward you to her. Just contact me on social networks after you finish the theory.

What is the book “Buying a sailboat from A to Z and sailing to the Mediterranean Sea on it” about?

This book gives you a step-by-step plan for buying an inexpensive but good sailboat in Europe. I give all the information from A to Z. What is more, the book tells how to prepare your sailboat for a passage shortly and sail it from Sweden to the Mediterranean Sea.

In what format is the guide: is it a paper book or an e-book?

The book is electronic, it works on any device with browser, both online and offline (after the first download). Due to this solution you receive the book as soon as you purchased it and I can update it and add some more details (I'm doing it rather often).

To sum up: buying the book now you're getting all the future updates for free.

What if I already read the book?

Check your email, I sent a special offer for my readers. If you didn't receive it - please contact me on Facebook , on Instagram or by email. Instagram

How can I receive help while purchasing a sailboat?

Just contact me on social networks and tell me your situation, I’ll do my best to help you.

How can I purchase the package?

Can I buy the book only?

Yes, you can purchase the book on my site https://how-to-buy-sailboat.com/ but my recommendation is to purchase the whole package because the course and the book complement one another. Passing this course makes sense for you even if you are a professional sailor on a big bulk carrier because a bulk carrier and a sailboat are really very different and you will face completely new situations.

Even if you already took IYT or RYA courses you will find a lot of useful information in my course as well: my course contains a lot of information about choosing a sailboat, nuances while purchasing and maintenance.

What is more, in most schools they teach to handle some mainstream sailboats, but the smaller yachts which I usually show you on social networks have their own nuances. I talk about these nuances in this course as well.

Why should I purchase the package even if I don’t have financial capacity to buy a sailboat now?

You should go for your dream even if you do it slowly, even if you can't see how to reach it. And if you can't reach it right now you should aim towards your dream. In this particular case you do the first step. Usually it’s the most difficult one. Further on, life usually gives us some options and possibilities.

To sum up, you now have an option to do the first step. Will you do it?
