OUR HISTORY
Sea Spray Cruises is a local, family owned and operated company offering day sailing tours in St Lucia to Soufriere and other surrounding attractions. We started operations with our smallest catamaran Mango Tango in October of 1991. At the time it was a husband and wife running the business with two employees, a big change from our operations now which consist of four boats and 26 employees.
In 1994 we realized that Mango Tango (our 52 ft cat) was too small to cater for the fast growing cruise ship business. The cruise ships were getting bigger and we had to grow too. Our second catamaran, Tango Too (80 ft) was built and could carry 150 passengers comfortably. Buying this boat was a great decision because we not only had a boat for cruise ships but could also accommodate larger tours in St Lucia, for weddings, birthdays and company outings. Local charters were also very popular on Tango Too.
In 2000 we took delivery of Jus Tango (65 ft) licensed to carry 110 passengers. Jus Tango proved to be very popular with our guests, she is large, comfortable and has lots of area for soaking up the sun.
In February of 2003 we had a new and exciting challenge added to our fleet. The 138ft Tall Ship, “Brig Unicorn”. She was featured in several movies, most recently the Pirates of the Caribbean series. We have been very successful in creating Pirate-themed St Lucia tours with cannons, pirates and fun activities for everyone, especially the kids. Unfortunately such ships can only last so long and the Brig has since been retired and was briefly replaced first by Liana’s Ransom and subsequently by Black Magic. Black Magic was recently sold and is now located in Panama. Our most recent addition is our 78ft Power Catamaran, Tango, which is the only one of its kind!
We have received a number of recognitions and awards over the years, including t wo Thompsons Gold awards for excellence for our tours in St Lucia, six years of TripAdvisor Excellence Awards, and recognition locally by the Ministry of Tourism for our excellent service.

Black Magic, previously known as Villa Novo Do Corvo, was built in 1960 as a North Atlantic Trawler. It was owned and operated in Boston Massachusetts by the famous “CodFather”. We purchased and converted her to a Replica Galleon Ship between 2012 & 2013. She is now located in Bocas Del Toro, Panama.
BRIG UNICORN
The Brig Unicorn was built in Finland in 1949 and was also known for appearing in movies and television programs., most famously 3 of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Find out more here .
