Hammock Beach Marina: Catamaran? No Problem!
Updated: Aug 26, 2022
Hammock Beach Marina, 2022
Are two hulls better than one?
You bet your bimini catamaran owners think so! Over the last five years, catamarans, or cats for short, have exploded in popularity. Just some of the reasons for their fame are their stability, shallow draft, speed, storage, and light and airy living areas. Cruising catamarans have large hulls that can fit several cabins, and accommodate large structures on the bridge deck - like a galley, salon, and living area.
Florida’s best destination to dock your catamaran
Even with their rise in popularity, catamaran owners still find it difficult to hit upon a marina that offers wide-beam slips to properly accommodate large and wide vessels. One that does it flawlessly is Hammock Beach Marina in Palm Coast, Florida. If you’re cruising takes you outside of the Palm Coast area, a quick phone call to the marina you’re considering will tell you if they have the accommodations you require.
Another notable benefit of docking at the Hammock Beach is that it is part of the celebrated Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa . This means that boaters can enjoy its generous and luxurious list of amenities. While there, you can relax at the spa, take in a round of golf, walk along the beach, or jump right into one of their many pools. There is also a fitness center and tennis courts. When you’re hungry, there’s no need to leave the resort. Everything from an oceanfront seafood restaurant and a sushi bar, to a sports bar, Italian steakhouse, and ocean bar and café are just steps away. Should you prefer a quiet night, you can place a takeout order for onboard dining.
Hammock Beach Marina’s long list of amenities also includes concrete floating docks, pump out, 30-, 50- & 100-amp electric service, showers & laundry, wifi, transportation to the Club, and 24-hour security on-site.
Business meets pleasure
If you’re trip mixes business with pleasure, Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa’s events staff has you covered. Their spectacular grounds can accommodate everything from birthdays to meetings and corporate galas. Plus, their friendly and knowledgeable staff, voted “Best On-Site Support Staff”, can help you every step of the way.
Tips for docking and swinging your catamaran
Because catamarans have dual engines and twin props, maneuvering in close quarters is really a straightforward and easy process. The truth is that although the lack of keel(s), high freeboard, and the boat’s light weight might be off-putting at first, it will pass. Because the dual engines and twin-propeller configuration are awesome tools - even when space is tight, and wind and current are challenging.
Forget the wheel!
If you’re new to catamarans, the first thing you want to learn is to forget the wheel and leave the rudders in a neutral position. There will come a time when the rudders will be helpful, but save that until you’ve gathered enough experience. Because the boat’s twin propellers are far apart, it’s just not necessary to use the rudders. For that matter, when learning to dive a catamaran, rudders may add an unnecessary dynamic.
The main principle you want to grasp is that a catamaran can pivot in its own length, without moving for or aft. When you advance one throttle and reverse the other equally, the boat will simply rotate on its centerline axis. Cool, right? Now when you apply greater and lesser power to the respective throttles, you’ll pivot from the side that you’ve applied less power. Here’s an example; to pivot to port, use slightly less reverse power to your port engine, and slightly more forward power to your starboard engine. If you want to pivot to starboard, just do the opposite.
Slow is the way to go!
A catamaran can be operated at very slow speeds. The reason is that you don’t need to create a flow over the rudders in order to turn. That’s why seasoned catamaran owners know that “Slow is the way to go.”
Back into a Slip
The good news is that backing into a slip is easier with a catamaran than a monohull. That’s because there are twin counter-rotating propellers that don’t create prop walk - the pull to one side when a single screw boat is in reverse. To back into a slip you only need to pull up until perpendicular with the slip, pivot the boat with the engines (as described above) then use both in reverse. You can adjust as you back up if there’s wind or current to deal with.
Docking and departure
Coming alongside or departing from a dock is also easy to master. With a properly placed spring line and fenders, combined with careful use of the throttles, you can bring your catamaran neatly alongside even a crowded dock. For instance, when leaving a portside tie-up with boats both fore and aft, place a fender on your port quarter. Then put the starboard engine in reverse until the bows pivot out, clearing the boat ahead. Then drive forward, first with the port, then with both engines.
Don’t expect to coast
Catamarans don’t coast well. The reason for this is that they don’t have a deep keel to track. So, trying to coast to a dock at a shallow angle, then going into reverse and using prop walk to move your stern in, won’t work like it does on a monohull boat.

Is It A Boat? Is It A Hammock? No, It’s Both!
If you’re enjoying a Western Canadian summer, two of the best ways to do so involve a hammock, or a boat. Seeking to improve on this mighty duo with a hammock-boat combo , [Jarrett] describes his progress at Vancouver Hack Space .
The boat he chose was a one-person catamaran with an aluminium frame and what appear to be inflatable pontoons, while the hammock is one designed for a garden or patio with a steel tubular frame. A design goal was to not modify or destroy the structure of either item, so the challenge was to securely mount the two frames together. A variety of false starts involving bent steel or aluminium were tried, followed by a final success with the aluminium tubes reinforced with more tube inside them, and the hammock attached with U-bolts.
The testing took place on what appears to be a public lake, and the contraption floated well. When it had been pushed out to a landing stage our intrepid adventurer boarded the hammock — and promptly the whole edifice tipped itself over, depositing him in the drink. Further experimentation revealed that balance was critical, and a revised position could achieve a stable boarding. He paddles off into the sunset as you can see in the video below the break, though as his friends remind him, without his beer.
Commercial hammocks are surprisingly expensive for what they are. Don’t worry though, if you find them to be beyond your budget you can always make a frame for one yourself .

No, no, Jenny already told you: Bo(a)t H(ammock) = BotH. It’s Both.
Very good, I salute you!
(Takes bow/) :)
I’d rather have the rigid pontoons of a Hydrobike under me. (Pedaling/paddling?) one of those is a breeze!
https://hydrobikes.com/
How hard is it to tip over? Being tangled in a hammock underwater because some dick wanted to prank you sounds dangerous.
Side-to-side was not an issue, it was steady as a rock. Front to back, absolutely unstable without proper weight distribution. Entanglement was a serious concern, I kept a knife in my pocket, but it turned out to not be a worry at all, the hammock opens up nicely under water and I never felt unsafe (I am also not a good swimmer)
Sorry, the vertical video just took me right out of it.
Do you people not have vertical monitors?
Catemaran > catamaran Aluminum > aluminium (linked article) What’s wrong with proper English ?
you didn’t notice the mistakes next to aluminum. “tries, sollowed” should be “tried, followed”. at a sciencey level both spellings of aluminium are accepted by somebody
I commend you on this hack and willing to try in front of so many people. To be accepted as a hack from this group it has to have an Arduino or a 555 as part of the design :).
Where’s the beer cooler and fishing rod brackets?
I want to hack this with lipo batteries, a BLDC motor and a speed controller driven with PWM via a good ol’ 555. Adding an electric trolling motor is just too easy, lol.

What Is A Catamaran Sailboat? (And What It Looks Like)
Last Updated by
Daniel Wade
August 30, 2022
Catamarans are increasingly popular for sailing and commercial use, but what sets them apart from monohulls and other multihulls?
A catamaran is a twin-hull boat with two equally-sized hulls placed side by side. They’re powered by engines, sails, or both—and they’re known for efficiency and speed. Catamarans are the most common kind of multihull boat.
In this article, we’ll go over the characteristics of catamarans and how to differentiate them from other types of boats. Additionally, we’ll cover the advantages and disadvantages of catamarans and compare them to trimarans and monohulls. We’ll also go over the most common types of catamarans and their uses.
We sourced the information in this article from marine design guides, boat identification resources, and the online boating community.
Table of contents
How to Spot a Catamaran
Spotting a catamaran is easy. Simply look at the hulls and count them. Catamarans have two hulls side by side and a relatively large gap between them where you can see light on the other end. Catamarans are distinct from trimarans, which have an additional hull between the two outer hulls.
How do Catamarans Work?
The principle behind the catamaran is simple. You can think of catamarans like cars and monohulls like motorcycles. Catamarans distribute their weight between hulls on either side, whereas monohulls utilize only one hull.
Evidently, cars are much more difficult to tip over and can hold much more weight. Additionally, cars are wider, as they have much more contact with the road. Catamarans work in a similar way, as they have a wide stance and contact with the surface on both sides.
Obviously, that isn’t the most precise comparison. But the basic principle is the same, and catamarans have a few notable benefits over monohulls.
Catamaran Vs Monohull
Catamarans are easy to distinguish from monohulls. A monohull is just a regular old boat with a single hull. The vast majority of boats and ships are monohulls. Catamarans have two hulls, which are usually sleek and narrow.
Here are some comparisons of catamarans and monohulls, along with the advantages twin-hull designs have over most single hull types.
Benefits of Catamarans
Catamarans have numerous benefits. The first is speed. Catamarans produce less drag than monohulls and thus can achieve excessive speeds both under sail and power. They don’t need to plane like monohulls to achieve these high speeds, and they use less fuel.
Catamarans are also much more stable than monohulls. They have a wide stance and shallow draft, and many waves and swells can travel between the hulls instead of below them. This effectively reduces an entire axis of movement and prevents catamarans from rolling excessively.
Drawbacks of Catamarans
Catamarans aren’t advantageous in every way, or else we wouldn’t bother building monohulls. The disadvantages of catamarans limit their use to niche commercial applications and high-end yachts. But what are the drawbacks of a twin-hull design?
Sailing catamarans don’t follow many of the traditional boat handling rules and characteristics that sailors pass down for generations. Some, such as hull speed limitations, are good to do away with—while others, such as responsiveness, are not.
Catamarans aren’t as quick to the helm or responsive as monohulls. There are some exceptions to this rule, but for the most part, you’ll get a lot more feedback from a single-hull vessel. Additionally, the large section of deck between the hulls of a catamaran is prone to pounding in rough seas, which is loud and uncomfortable.
Catamarans can sometimes be twice the width of an equivalent monohull sailboat, which can increase mooring fees and limit docking options.
The final major drawback of catamarans is a consequence of their stability. Traditional full-keel monohull sailboats have a very low center of gravity, which makes them roll in heavy seas but ensures a recovery.
Catamarans have a higher center of gravity, and they can’t right themselves after a knockdown. And though catamarans are less likely to roll, a severe list on a multihull is a much more serious concern than on a ballasted monohull.
Catamaran Vs Trimaran
Catamarans and trimarans are often lumped together, but they have very different design and performance specifications. Trimarans have three hulls, whereas catamarans have two.
Trimarans look a lot like catamarans from the side, but a quick glance at the bow or stern can set them apart. Trimarans are faster than catamarans, as they distribute their weight across three hulls instead of two. This helps them stay centered and reduces interference from pitching and rolling.
Catamarans are fast, but they lose out to trimarans when going head to head. However, catamarans are much less expensive to build and maintain and often have roomier cabins due to their larger hulls.
Types of Catamarans
There are numerous types of catamarans, and their uses vary widely. The catamaran is one of the oldest and most useful hull types, and some variants have been used for thousands of years. Here are the most common kinds of catamaran boats and their uses.
Sailing Catamaran
Sailing catamarans are probably what you think of when you hear the name. Sailing catamarans are sailboats with two identical hulls connected by a center deck. The largest sailing catamarans are spacious and stable vessels that are capable of serious offshore sailing.
Sailing catamarans have a number of notable advantages over monohulls. Monohulls, which are traditional sailboats with a single hull, are limited by a simple concept called hull speed. As the bow and stern wave of a monohull intersect, they cause drag which limits the top speed of the boat.
Catamarans are not bound by hull speed limitations, as they have two hulls. Catamarans can go twice or even three times as fast as similar monohulls and achieve excellent travel times.
Catamarans are also more stable than monohulls, as their wide stance and shallow draft reduce the effect of rough water. They don’t heel, as the force of the wind is counteracted by the double hulls. Additionally, modern sailing catamarans can ‘wave pierce’ by cutting through swells instead of riding over them.
Sailing catamarans come in many shapes and sizes. Small sailing catamarans, such as those used in races and regattas, are known for their speed and relative stability compared to light racing monohulls. Sometimes, they feature a smaller second hull for stability—these are called outriggers.
Sailing catamarans have spacious interiors thanks to the large cockpit between the hulls. This cockpit usually contains cooking and eating spaces, a place to sit, and a hallway between the hulls. The hulls usually contain living quarters and often mirror each other.
Power Catamarans
Power catamarans have an even greater variety than sailing catamarans. These vessels are used for everything from party platforms to ferries and patrol boats.
Power catamarans are a recent development, as engineers and marine architects now realize they have numerous hydrodynamic advantages over other hull types.
Catamarans are much more efficient than other hull types, as they have less drag relative to their size. Additionally, you can build a much larger catamaran with less material. This makes them popular for car and rail ferries, as builders can construct a very wide vessel with two small hulls rather than a narrower vessel with a large single hull.
Military and Commercial Catamarans
Even the military has found a use for the catamaran hull shape. The Spearhead class EPF is an expeditionary fast transport vessel designed for carrying capacity and speed. It has two sharp hulls and a huge cargo capacity.
The Spearhead class EPF is 337 feet long, which is about the same length as a WW2 escort destroyer. Yet despite having a similar length and displacement, these catamarans can travel more than twice as fast—43 knots, or nearly 50 miles per hour. Their great speed is a direct consequence of their catamaran hull type.
Power catamarans are also used as patrol and utility boats on a much smaller scale, with either outboard or inboard motors. The State of Texas uses catamarans to patrol shallow rivers and lakes. Texas Game Wardens utilize state-of-the-art aluminum catamaran patrol boats, which are fast enough to outrun most fishing boats.
There’s another form of power catamaran that you may not have considered. Pontoon boats are technically catamarans, and they’re enormously popular on lakes and rivers throughout the country. Pontoon boats aren’t known for speed, but they’re a great platform for a fun and comfortable outing.
Catamaran Houseboats
The final common type of power catamaran is the two-hulled houseboat. Houseboats don’t always use the catamaran hull type, but it’s common enough that most major manufacturers offer it as an option.
Catamaran houseboats have a few notable advantages over monohull designs. For one, they’re easier to build—especially when pontoons are chosen. Additionally, they’re better suited for navigating shallow water. These vessels can support more weight across their two hulls, offer increased stability, and they’re also efficient.
Why Aren’t Catamarans More Common?
With all the advantages listed in this article to consider, it may seem strange that the use of catamarans is still somewhat limited. At the end of the day, it comes down to economics—as monohull boats and ships are simply cheaper to build.
Additionally, catamarans have some distinct limitations. Monohulls have lots of storage space in their hulls and can carry thousands of tons of cargo safely in all weather conditions. Catamarans lack this space and low center of gravity, so they’re not ideal for transporting cargo past a certain point.
Additionally, monohulls work, and many people are reluctant to experiment with new designs when old designs work just fine. This rule applies to both large and small boats.
A large monohull sailboat can be constructed at low cost from stock plans and reliably sail almost anywhere. Very little complex structural engineering is involved, and looser tolerances reduce cost and maintenance requirements.

Sailing And Boating with a Hammock
Better With A Hammock: Sailing And Boating
Whether you like day-sailing, cruising in a motorboat, or you want to take a six-month tour of the South Pacific, bringing a Trek Light Hammock adds instant luxury to your journey. Hammocks are a great way to relax in the sunshine as the ocean gently rocks you to sleep.
We understand storage and space can be tight on any boat, but this is a non-issue when you're using a Trek Light hammock. Our biggest and best-selling Double Hammock weighs only 20 oz.
Every model of Trek Light hammock, from the smallest to the biggest, packs down smaller than the size of a single grapefruit!
With our different size and weight options, any boat can have a hammock. They can be set up on railings, between masts, or in the hull. Check out our blog for some great photos of our hammocks on boats .
How many times have you wanted to fall asleep watching the stars on deck, but didn’t want to sleep on the hard deck and sacrifice a night of sleep?
With a Trek Light hammock, no sacrifice is needed. You can sleep outside, breathe in the ocean air, gaze at the stars, and still have energy for the next day. Sailors slept in hammocks in hammocks for centuries because they knew that hammocks and boats are a match made in heaven.
Now you can drift through the water and drift through the air. (Learn more about sleeping in a hammock overnight!)
Bringing along children on the trip?
Our hammocks are the best way to keep children entertained, safe and comfortable for the duration of the trip. Sailing is as much about the destination as it is about the sailing journey itself. Trek Light Hammocks are ideal for day trips so that next time you find that perfect island spot to explore the hidden oasis, you’ll be able to enjoy it suspended between two trees.
Worried about sea sickness?
The truth is that hammocks have been used for centuries as a way to prevent sea sickness !
The reason is that when you’re standing, sitting or even lying down in a boat, you’re connected to the boat’s movements, so you’re going to go wherever the boat goes. When you’re in a hammock, gravity will naturally pull you straight down and because you’re in the air, you’re not at the mercy of the boat’s movements. In your hammock, you may appear to be rocking, but it’s actually the boat that’s rocking while you are remaining relatively still.
Your body’s equilibrium will know the difference, and you will be able to close your eyes and relax and forget about the rough seas. There’s a reason boats and hammocks go so well together!
Worried about mildew?
Trek Light hammocks are made of quick-drying parachute nylon. When wet, our hammocks take minutes to dry leaving you with a silky, soft seat for the rest of the trip. Unlike every other rope, canvas or cloth hammock on the market, our hammocks won’t ever rot or mildew meaning they are a long lasting sailing partner.
Here's What Our Customers Say:
“We have had this hammock now for two summers on our sailboat; it's awesome. Easy to set up and feels super safe. My 2 and 4 yr old climb in and out safely. Zero issues!” - Melissa S.
“[The] hammock is awesome! We hung it on the deck of our sailboat, and it has quite literally made every sailing trip 100 times better. I'll never set sail without a hammock again!” - Jason L.
“Unbelievably lightweight. It’s been great for use on the sailboat and definitely lets the breeze in so you stay cool. We're going to need a bigger boat...for more hammocks!” - Kimberly C.

Product and Use
Our hammock floor net material is light and comfortable to use, and the black nets in particular provide excellent transparency. They all have a very soft and discreet appearance. We recommend the 15mm mesh size for children’s areas, as it will prevent small objects from falling through. It is also suitable for longer naps. However, the dense mesh allows slightly less light to pass through. If you want to let more light into your interior through the mesh, consider the larger 30mm mesh size. This is a traditional catamaran net and the most commonly used size in interior design. It provides the most open and airy feel of the two mesh sizes, while still being comfortable to use.
Preparing a supporting frame
A supporting frame is the foundation of your hammock floor net project and must be properly sized and stable. Many customers choose to make it out of wood, as it is easy and inexpensive to install. However, the frame can also be made of solid concrete or metal structures. Since there is no standard or norm for this product and its use, we recommend consulting with a professional to ensure the correct sizing and installation of the frame and netting for your own safety. For more information on the supporting frame, please visit our page Instructions .
Installation and tension
To attach your hammock floor net to the frame, you will need closed eyelets (eyebolts, wall eyelets, or similar), which should be placed every 15 cm on the inside of the frame. Each eyelet must be able to withstand a pulling force of at least 200 kg. The recommended maximum load for the hammock floor is 500 kg, regardless of the net size.
Use two independent ropes to connect the hammock floor net to the grommets, and then tension them. The ropes should be laced around the net in a “zig-zag” pattern, and their combined length should be approximately 5 times the circumference of your frame to ensure optimal lacing and tension.
We recommend strongly adding the fasteners when you order the hammock floor net, so that we ensure the optimal anchoring and tensioning.

International customer service
We offer two different mesh sizes for our hammock floor nets:
- The 15mm mesh size provides greater comfort for lying down
- The 30mm mesh size is more translucent and creates a more immersive floating experience
The Carefree Package
We offer complete sets with everything you need for a successful installation, including:
- The taylor-made hammock floor net
- The appropriate number of stainless steel anchors, which meet the load requirements and ensure that the tension ropes cannot be damaged
- The necessary length of tension ropes, which has minimal elasticity and is ideal for achieving high tension forces and proper installation
What to measure
Please provide us with the inner/clear dimensions of your frame in the designated fields. Once you have confirmed your order with these dimensions, we will begin planning and calculating your hammock floor net. We will adjust the size of your net so that there is an approximate distance of 5 to 10 cm between the net’s bold rope and the frame for lacing and tension. This margin also allows you to adjust the tension of your hammock floor over time.

Hammock floor and suspended net
High-end loft net
We have been designing catamaran nets for more than 20 years and we are constantly developing techniques to offer you high quality products.
A loft net made by Corderie Gautier is:
- Very resistant and certified to withstand up to +700 kg/m2
- Complete protection against falls
- A resistant product, with reinforced overlock and bolt rope.
- Excellent comfort, with knotless mesh
- A firm net that last many years
- Personalized support for its installation
- A complete personalization (colors, shapes)
- A certified product made in France
An interior decoration item, the loft net allows you to create atypical living spaces , to play with volumes and light.
Created from a catamaran net, it can be used in your house or loft to decorate it according to your taste.
Highly customizable , it can take different shapes to fill an empty space or create a loft : squared, triangular, rounded, hexagonal… Small in size, it can be an open space in the floor to let the light through. Large in size, it can be a suspended mesh floor .
Indoors, the loft net is protected from UV and bad weather: it is therefore possible to dye it as you wish . White, black, red or blue… or peacock blue, taupe, cherry red… Our palette of colors is very wide. With a sample, we can get as close as possible to the desired color, for a really unique interior decoration .
Customizable
Relaxation and comfort
Create a relaxing and peaceful corner in your house or apartment with this highly comfortable and pleasant to the touch loft net .
Made of 13 to 30 mm knotless woven mesh , this house net provides you with exceptional comfort. The knotless mesh will not exert any pressure under the soles of your feet, or on the skin when you lie on it.
The small, tight mesh allows children to walk on it, without the risk of getting a foot stuck on the mesh. And they are spaced enough to let the light through.
Children and adults alike will love to use it to rest, read or take a nap.
Like a suspended floor
Solidly fixed and stretched, it remains very firm. It is a real suspended floor in the house.
Even when used by an adult, it does not loosen or becomes saggy. Forget about these soft nets, in which you sink with each movement and can not get up easily.
Safety for the whole family
Being suspended in a void in the house or in a loft requires extra security. Your house net will protect your whole family against falls.
Demand uncompromising security.
Resistant to +700kg/m2
Our nets have been tested and certified by an independent inspection entity.
Resistance to 700 kg/m2 guaranteed!
The weight of an adult will not cause the catamaran net to loosen up, and your children will be able to sleep and play in it in complete safety.
Point by point fixation
Thanks to small resistant strings for the threading, the net is attached at approximately every 15 cm at each fixation point.
Forget about zig-zag installations , strings that are not properly tightened up. Based on our decades of experience and for optimal safety, we recommend only using one installation technique .
Safety and guarantees
High resistance with 700 KG / m 2
High safety through point by point fixation
The net is fixed and held firmly in place thanks to the fixations (trigger guard, eyebolt etc ). Thus, there is no gap between the structure (a beam for example) and the net.
This is to prevent a child from sticking a foot or leg on it and risking an injury. An additional guarantee of peace of mind for the parents.
Reinforcing overlock and bolt rope
In order to make the installation of the net easier and to make it even more solid, an overlock and bolt rope are sewn all around it in order to reinforce the whole structure.
They are thicker and more resistant ropes.
Resistant fixation
For the fixing and installation of your loft net, we recommend you to use the most suitable fixing accessories.
Resistant stainless steel eye bolts or trigger guards, polyester stringing for the threading of the net and point by point fixation.
We have a wide stock of all the accessories required to fix our nets.
Our team will advise you and support you on the installation technique, at each step of your project.
A long lasting product
Choose a stable and lasting product, with an exceptional longevity .
The tension of your loft net remains constant: it does not loosen or deforms. Not after some days or even months.
Our installation technique, based on our more than 20 years of experience, will guarantee you a durable product that will remain in place for many years .
Our know-how and expertise
Corderie Gautier has been designing catamaran nets in France for more than 20 years.
Our team will support you at each step of your project. From the design to its installation, we assure you a personalized follow up and we will support you to guarantee your complete satisfaction.

LoftNets makes available customized catamaran nets to create a unique area in your home. Their robustness and resistance to elements such as sunshine or water are identical to those of our sailing nets.
Complete your home project with our customized catamaran nets
Both private owners and professionals will enjoy this high-quality equipment when they complete their dream project. Would you like a railing for a staircase, a guardrail for a balcony, or a sun bed for a terrace? Our customized service guarantees you a solution adapted to your needs and will assist you every step of the way in designing your project.
Based on the use and installation spot of your customized catamaran net , we will propose different types of nets. The position - horizontal or vertical - has an influence on the type of netting to choose, whether braided or knotted, and the size of the openwork. For example, to create a suspended floor net that is safe for small children to walk on, opt for a tightly-woven braided net.
A variety of customized technical fabrics to respond to your demands
We meet your demands with products that are adapted to your project. Make the most of your home net in optimal conditions! A void to fill under a cathedral ceiling, or a balcony to secure for small children? Each of our customized catamaran nets is designed according to the exact shape and size to perfectly fit into your framework.
You may choose among our wide range of nets, based on the installation area and the intended use of your net. Braided netting is more comfortable and softer to the touch, and so is better suited to a horizontal installation, while knotted netting is pleasing to the eye in a vertical installation. We also supply canvases and fine-quality customized technical fabrics for a variety of uses, from catamaran trampolines to swimming pool nets.
Secure, original installations to set up indoors or outdoors
Our large, entirely modulable offer allows private individuals and professionals to find the ideal solution to their unique project. Easy to install, lightweight and resistant, customized catamaran nets come in many shapes. Make the most of a void in your mezzanine by creating a relaxing area for the whole family to enjoy in just a few steps.
Balconies and staircases may be hazardous, especially to young children and house pets. With our robust, UV-resistant nets, you'll be able to make them safe places, no matter what shape or size the net. We will assist you in selecting the appropriate components, including the fixation hardware needed to install the net.

Catamaran Hammock
About this item
- Easy to setup and take anywhere
- Tree straps included
- 400 lb capacity
Product Description
While "double" hammocks are good for one or two people, we believe that one person is plenty for our Catamaran. Despite the roominess, it still packs into approximately the size of a small football with an attached bag so you can take it anywhere. Unpacked, it's about 10 1/2 feet by 6 1/2 feet, so plenty of room to spread out, but packs small enough to take with you. Includes lightweight aluminum carabiners. You don't need a fancy resort to relax. You can use it inside, outside, on the go. I can unpack and hang the Catamaran in about 30 seconds and repack in less than 90. So there is no setup/takedown investment. Use your time to relax. It comes with paracord tree/post straps. 26 ounces Holds up to 400 lbs. Made in China
