There are numerous set-up styles for the inside venue including an optional dance-floor and large screen. Our own furniture is available for your use free of charge or you can use one of many recommended suppliers to achieve a variety of presentations and styles. We have ample free parking available onsite and our indoor area is fully air conditioned for your comfort. Nedlands Yacht Club is located just a few kms from Perth's CBD and is situated on the stunning Swan River. With scenic views of both the river and city skyline, NYC is the perfect location for any event. All beverages are required to be purchased through the Club however you are more than welcome to arrange your own catering. 

We certainly do!!! We have lots of couples have their fur babies included in their ceremony and then they are usually chauffered home so they don't frolick in the water all evening.

We only host ceremonies for couples who are enjoying their wedding reception with NYC. This gives our couples the exclusivity of their ceremony among our lush foreshore and beautiful city views.

As father of the groom I agreed to pay for the cost of an open bar at rate of $30/person for 150

The number of people has now decreased to 115- what should I do ?

It all depends on what you can comfortably afford. You didn't agree to the dollar to contirbute a  dollar amount you agreed to a spend per person so if the numbers have decreased so does your contribution. Unless you can still comfortably afford the $4500. Hope that helps.

When we think about Nedlands Yacht Club in Perth, WA a few things spring to mind. It’s a lush foreshore, self-catering and DIY style venue that’s perfect for 500+ guests, from casual weddings with food trucks and lawn games, to formal sit down weddings.

Kaila and Pikari, how would you describe your wedding day in a nutshell?

Our wedding day reflected us. We had all our favourite food, drinks and music. It was one big party to celebrate our love for each other.

When you were planning your wedding, what did you think was going to be your favourite part and what did it end up being?

Partying the night away with our closet family and friends and it was exactly that.

Did you write your own vows? If so, what made you decide to do that?

We did! We wanted them to be unique and meaningful.

What was it about Nedlands Yacht Club that made you choose it?

We choose NYC as it’s a blank canvas located on the Swan River with stunning views. We booked our wedding venue 18 months in advance, so we hadn’t put too much thought into the style we wanted, so NYC was perfect for us with the flexibility to style it how we liked. We also loved how they let you bring your own caterers, which meant we could use our favourite food truck!

Now that you’re married, what’s your best piece of wedding planning advice you can share?

Don’t sweat the small stuff or feel like you need to follow traditions, only include what is important to you.

If you had your time again, is there anything you’d do differently?

Nope, wouldn’t change a thing!

Nedlands Yacht Club is another one of my favourite venues. It’s the prettiest spot on the Swan River and can be a blank canvas for whatever your wedding dreams are.. From amazing huge marquee weddings to intimate long table weddings, weddings at Nedlands Yacht Club let us enjoy the very best of the the great Western Australian weather and outdoors.. There are also some gorgeous bridal portrait locations all within walking distance of the clubhouse so you don’t need to go anywhere, meaning you can have a relaxed ceremony and reception and plenty of time to spend with your loved ones on your wedding day..

Emilia & Colin's Nedlands Yacht Club Wedding

We love it when brides do their wedding their way, and this wedding has our gorgeous bride Emilia written all over it. Ceremony amidst the watershore, stunning bouquets offering a pop of colour. There's something about Emilia & Colin's unique wedding that is inspiring for every bride. Emilia dazzled in her Pronovias Atelier Roca gown, with hair done by  The Pretty Parlour   and makeup by  Luxury Makeup House . THE DRESS  " As soon as we were engaged, I started trawling the internet for dress inspiration. I love dressing up and I knew that I wanted to wear something magical and unique for my own wedding. As soon as I saw the Atelier Pronovias Roca dress on Samantha Wynne’s website I fell in love with it and knew I had to try it on. The fact that Samantha had it stocked in my size was just the icing on the cake. Living in Kalgoorlie, I had booked in a few appointments for one weekend with my first stop being Samantha Wynne, as soon as I put the dress on I knew it was the one. It fit perfectly and it had a wow factor and it was unlike any other dress I had seen. I still went on to visit a few more bridal stores but deep down I knew I had found ‘the dress’, I just couldn’t stop thinking about it."

HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET?  "Colin and I met at after work drinks on a Friday night at the Stables Bar in the city, we were introduced by mutual friends. There was a definite spark between us when we first met, but I honestly didn’t think he was my type. After some persuading by my friends to ‘give him a go’, we went on a couple of dates. Soon after we met Colin was off on a 7 week trip to America, although we didn’t know each other that well, we spoke every day of his trip and knew we wanted to be together when he returned."

THE PROPOSAL  " Langkawi is a very special place to us, it is where we first holidayed together and have continued to go back to as we just love the island. We were in Langkawi for Colin’s mum’s 60 th and Colin had organised a special date for us, honestly he was so nervous that weather wasn’t very good that I knew something was a little fishy. The weather was fine on the morning of our date and so we hopped on a boat and we were dropped off on a secluded island where we had a cabana set up with food champagne etc. It didn’t take long for Colin to pop the question and there were some tears, laughter and a lot of smiling. After about 2 hours on the island we saw some clouds start to roll over, before we knew a big storm hit and we were trying to hold down the cabana so it didn’t fly away. Eventually the boat picked us up and we had a pretty wet ride back to the main land where we able to dry off and celebrate with family." 

FAVOURITE MOMENT " I love that Colin and I did a ‘first look’, I was driven in to the city to meet with Colin where he was staying at the Como Treasury. Our photographer set up our first look so perfectly, it was such an intimate moment and so special to be able to see each other alone before I walked down the aisle. It calmed both our nerves and I felt so relaxed for the rest of the day. I also love that we had some tradition Greek and Italian music play before the start of our dancefloor kicked off, our Grandparents danced and laughed with us all, it was very special."

THE VENUE " Both our ceremony and reception was held at Nedlands Yacht Club. It is a fantastic venue on the water that allows you to create your own unique wedding. We had the extremely talented Katie and Erica from DUO Events Creative Studio pull off the most epic space for both our ceremony and reception."

FAVOURITE DETAILS " Our flower arrangements were so spectacular and a true surprise on the day. I told Katie from DUO events that I wanted ‘bright’ and she certainly delivered. Our guests are still commenting on them. We also loved that we had Colin’s Uncle’s band play at the reception, it made for an epic dancefloor."

ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES  " Be true to yourselves as a couple, you don’t have to follow the latest trends on Instagram to have an amazing wedding. It is truly the best day ever, so make sure you soak it all in on the day!

BEST WEDDING SPEND " Hire a wedding planner! We could not have pulled off our wedding without Katie and Erica from DUO Events Creative Studio. They were so organised and planned every inch of our wedding so we were not stressed in the lead up or on the day. It meant that none of our family or friends were stressed on the day as Katei and Erica took care of absolutely everything. Also, my dress! It speaks for itself really…"

We are a family club with a strong charter for encouraging juniors and families into the exciting sport of sailing. Through our accredited courses, we can teach you to sail if you’ve never tried before, or help improve and build on your existing skills. We cater for junior, intermediate and advanced sailors. Kirstyn and Marc | Nedlands Yacht Club Marquee wedding

Kirstyn first found out about us years ago, when a photo we took of a bride and groom in the rain was all over Facebook. And who would have thought, that her wedding day would end up one of the rainiest days of the year! Kirstyn must have known! And they do say that means good luck :)   Either way it worked out well, we love photographing in the rain, and Kirstyn and Marc were super tough, so a bit of a drizzle didn’t get in the way at all, and made for some very cool photos!

We started the day at Varsity Bar, where Marc and the boys were hanging out. Meanwhile Kirstyn, her bridesmaids Chanel, Krystal, Daneka and Caroline, and her gorgeous kids Maverick and Frankie were busy getting ready at St Catherine’s on Park.

Their romantic ceremony was held at Nedlands Yacht Club in the club house. It may have rained all afternoon, but their clear marquee covered in flowers was perfect for the family photos. The bridal party photos were all taken on the foreshore in front   of their marquee. And come reception time, the rain just made it super cozy, as the windows fogged up as all 160 guests first laughed so much at their hilarious speeches, then danced their hearts out in true Kalgoorlie tradition!!

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.

Pestovo Golf & Yacht Club is Russia’s version of a classic country club with multiple attractions.

Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club

This park is among the best in Eastern Europe and was awarded the 2014 World Golf Award as the best golf course in Russia. Located 25 miles from Moscow, it is part of a vast complex featuring an 18-hole golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus , a polo club and a mountain ski club with four tracks. The design combines classic Scottish, Alpine, and English features in a dreamy landscape.

Less than 60 miles from Moscow, this golf course with a definite Scottish design is the only one in Russia recognized as a PGA (Professional Golfers’ Association) from Britain and Ireland. Located in an ecologically pristine area on the banks of the Volga River, the Zavidovo Golf Club embodies the spirit and appearance of the legendary Scottish golf courses. Its many springs and streams, hills, forests, swamps and lakes justify its reputation as a very demanding circuit.
