The way Nick and Malena welcomed us as if we were their own family on the day of their wedding tells you the kind of people that they are. We knew from day one that their day was going to be incredible and raw. And it was. Their beach wedding was filled with so many heartfelt moments that it’s hard to narrow it down to just a select few. But – the first look was definitely set apart.

As we waited for the first look on the docks, Nick reminisced with memories they had together and started crying before even seeing his beautiful bride. When she tapped his shoulder he just lost it. They chose their first look based on where they had family vacation for more than a decade. A first look can be so romantic and pure. It almost felt like time stood still when she tapped on his shoulder and it was just the two of them in that moment. We wanted to start crying with them honestly.

Beach Wedding Romance

As in tune as they were with each other, it was also clear to see the love they had for their friends and family. After their gorgeous ceremony on the outer deck, they had everyone meet on the stairs for a giant group photo. Nick and Malena wanted to remember all the faces that were there to celebrate them and their love.

Before the evening was over they snuck out during golden hour for an intimate moment on the docks together … slow dancing the night away.

The rental fee is $1,500 for a reception and includes 5 hours of event time excluding set up and clean up time and additional hours can be arranged for a fee. Emilee and Evan’s Wedding at Avalon Yacht Club

Congratulations to Emilee and Evan on their wedding! These love birds tied the knot on September 20, 2020 at Avalon Yacht Club in Cape May County, NJ.

The sun was shining and the skies were clear – it was a perfect day for a wedding! The day began with bridal prep. Emilee and all of her bridesmaids gathered together for hair and makeup. They laughed and told stories as Emilee slipped on her gorgeous white wedding gown. She looked absolutely stunning. Emilee and her bridesmaids posed for some shots of them all ready. Meanwhile Evan and his groomsmen put on their best suits, tied their ties, and got ready for the big day. Evan looked so handsome!

Next, it was time for the ceremony. As the bridal party met Evan at the altar, Emilee was walked down by her father. It was such a sweet moment! As the couple exchanged their personal vows and said their “I do’s” Emilee and Evan officially became husband and wife!

Then it was time for some gorgeous group shots. The newlyweds’ party all gathered together on a beach for some photos. They had some seriously creative ideas with these, and it made for great memories!

Finally, the couple had their reception at a little beach home with their friends, family, and bridal party. It was a small celebration as everyone got together for this wonderful couple. Emilee and Evan shared their romantic first dance together as well. This couple will be having a broader reception this coming September.

Avalon Yacht Club Wedding | Rachel + Danny

A rainy wedding day at Avalon yacht club didn’t stop this crew from having the best day! Rachel + Danny met at a college party at Penn State and the rest was pretty much history. They’ve been inseparable ever since! It was so fun to hear their college friends talk about their early dating life throughout the night and it’s so apparent how much these two (and their friends) love each other!

Rachel + Danny made the most of their rainy wedding day and had zero doubts when it came to taking their portraits outside. Of course, there were a few breaks in the day as we waited for rain to pass or worked quickly before the next set of clouds rolled in but I have to say, they handled this situation with grace and made the absolute best of their day and it turned out absolutely beautiful! Honestly, if it weren’t for some rain on Danny’s tuxedo, I don’t think you would ever be able to tell that it was raining the entire time!

They ended the night inside as the sun went down over the bay + danced the night away with their favorite people in one room. It was one heck of a celebrating! Cheers to Mr. + Mrs. Moore!

The general manager, Brian, worked like he was prepping and coordinating an event for the president of the United States. We went to a wedding at the yacht club. Everything was perfect. Food came out quickly and they made sure everyone on the table got their food at the same time. The food was amazing. The appetizers were seasoned shrimp cocktail, curry chicken skewer with peanut sauce, beef on skewer, crab cakes, sausage wrapped in a roll, roasted veggies and potatoes, and lamb. Dinner options were prime rib, fish stuffed with crab (gluten free), vegetarian, and the kids had fries and chicken nuggets or grilled cheese sandwich. They had two bars open so the 160 adults could have a drink in hand within 30 Minutes. They were on top of things. It was flawless because of the conductor, Brian. Outstanding job!

Beautiful location for a small to medium sized wedding. It's cozy and beautiful location. Best time to have a wedding is in September after the crowd leaves and before the cold comes.

This is the perfect venue for a wedding. Plenty of parking, gorgeous views of the water and the service was impeccable. Jared helped us manage our 200 person wedding ceremony and reception. We loved the intimate size of the dining areas and the bar was perfect for serving everyone while waiting for the guests to be seated. The hordeurves were passed and each warm and delicious. Prior to the ceremony, we enjoyed our private room upstairs away from the guests and while we got ready to enter the reception. The space for the band was perfect and plenty of room for dancing. We would book this venue again in a minute.

This Jersey Shore Wedding is Just So Gosh Darn Pretty

The beach-y union of Kelly Barnes and Kevin Corbett  makes us yearn for the feeling of sand between our toes. The couple’s elegant Jersey Shore wedding featured a subtle nautical theme—love that surf board guest book!—and the day was captured beautifully by Jessica Hendrix Photography .

Kelly and Kevin met at Princeton Bar and Grill in Avalon during Memorial Day weekend — the inaugural start to a summer spent down the Shore. The pair simply walked by each other and started talking. A few days after they first met, Kevin and Kelly went on their first official date, back in the city, at Ela  in Society Hill. It was a “relaxed and comfortable” evening, and the duo talked as if they’d known each other for years.

When Christmas of that year rolled around, Kelly and Kevin had been dating for seven months. After spending all of Christmas Day with both of their families, the pair drove to Avalon to exchange gifts at their favorite place. Upon arrival, Kevin used a remote to light up the house’s deck with Christmas lights that he had set up earlier in the week. The lights directed Kelly to a large wrapped gift, which she opened only to discover nothing inside. When she turned around, Kevin was down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

One year and nine months later, Kevin and Kelly exchanged vows in Avalon’s Sacred Heart Chapel on a beautiful early September day. They posed for portraits on the beach, then headed to the Avalon Yacht club to get the party started.

Nautical touches filled the decor: Escort cards lay in a bed of seashells, guests signed well wishes on a old surf board, and their envelope box was covered in fishing net and accessorized with seashells. Tables were covered in crisp white linens and topped with elegant white and light-pink floral arrangements with touches of greenery. Their sweetheart table stood out with a shimmery tablecloth.

After swaying to Gavin DeGraw’s “Soldier” for their first dance as husband and wife, Kelly and Kevin were seen off by friends and family in a sparkler-filled grand exit. The beach-lovers spent their honeymoon in Hawaii before returning to their home in Villanova, where she is a college lacrosse coach and he is an executive recruiter.

Situated on the Intracoastal Waterway just south of Townsend’s Inlet, Avalon Yacht Club’s location provides a beautiful backdrop to its members and their guests for activities both on and off the water. Our Clubhouse offers fine dining as well as a casual grill room for our members and is also available for private events and weddings. Some of the activities offered by our Club include sailing lessons for our youth and adults, sailing regattas for all ages, women’s auxiliary activities, weekly entertainment, and many other exciting events.

Avalon Yacht Club offers a variety of sailing events and racing series for adults and juniors. Avalon Yacht Club Wedding of Melissa and Tom. By the far the windiest wedding we’ve ever shot…on the beach…in November 😀 But seriously, I have give it to Melissa.  She would’ve gotten her beach shot in a hurricane. Everyone was sick the next day but very happy. Congratulations guy, we had a blast and it was an experience at the same time. Ha. Enjoy the preview…and enjoy Bora Bora. I’m really jealous. But happy for you. I guess. 😀

Jacqueline + Greg // Lake House Inn Winter Wedding

I could not have asked for a better way to end my 2019 season than to celebrate with my favorite family! I have known Greg’s family for seven years now and am beyond proud to say that I have photographed each of the siblings weddings! Seeing Mama and Papa Reed just lights up my day. I cannot tell you what it means to me to be a part of this family’s story and to celebrate all of their engagements, weddings, births and everything in between.

So I first met Greg at his brother Jerry’s wedding. (I love that we recreated an image from his wedding day!) I didn’t know it at the time but Greg and Jacqueline had really just started dating and soon after jetted off to Hawaii for a month as soon as they met! What can I say – when you know, you know.

When I first met Jacqueline it was when they got engaged and obviously I was ELATED. Like, I’ve just been waiting my whole life for Greg to hurry up and marry you. And she is just the sweetest! They will make the cutest babies ;)

Jacqueline and Greg’s wedding at The Lake House Inn was just gorgeous during the winter with florals from Petals Lane . We had a great team of people from Jeffrey Miller Catering . I absolutely adore our DJ’s Anthony and Vince from East Coast Event Group.

For real, this was the BEST. DAY. EVER. Jacqueline and Greg, I can’t thank you enough for asking me to celebrate with you and your families and I wish you all the best! Congrats you guys!!

Katherine + Mark // John James Audubon Center PA Wedding

I just LOVE the John James Audubon Center in PA! We had the best day with Katherine and Mark <3 From the moment they saw each other they were just entranced by each other. Emma + Dave – Fall Wedding at Avalon Yacht Club

Emma and Dave’s wedding at Avalon Yacht Club was the perfect start to my Fall wedding season. They are just so cute and quirky together and their families, so sweet. When Dave was growing up, his brother tells us that Dave used to visit the Wetland’s Institute in Stone Harbor, NJ and save baby sea turtles. I bet he never thought he’d be there on his wedding day romancing his new wife with that smolder he’s been workin’ on. ;)

I LOVED Emma’s dusty blue shoes and her bridesmaids soft pink and plum dresses. And the super cute lantern escort table made everything just glow. I’m at Avalon Yacht Club quite a bit and it’s always a wonderful experience. Perfect sunset every time!

Dave and Emma, I hope you guys stay weird together forever.

Alex + Alex // Intimate rainy Summer Valenzano Winery Wedding

The sun is out today and it feels amazing!! Reminded me of this intimate rainy summer wedding I photographed this past summer. Alex and Alex’s wedding was at Valenzano Winery one late summer afternoon. They brought along their super cute pomsky Milo to celebrate the day with everyone!

The day was hot and the rain started to creep in right as they began their ceremony! Not a problem, it held off until their first dance when Alex grabbed his new wife and spun her out onto the open dance floor and danced in the rain!! It was perfect! Eventually the sun came out again and we ran through the field taking photos of the late summer sun drinking moonshine. It was the perfect summer wedding ;)

Mallory + Michael // Classic Wedding Manasquan River Golf Club

Mallory and Michael’s classic wedding day this Fall was just GORGEOUS! Their families were so welcoming and the team of vendors that we worked with were nothing short of amazing! 

Mallory’s bridal bouquet and all of the florals by Kerry Patel Designs were just so breathtaking! Her planner Mallory of Mallory Weiss Planning made the day run so smoothly. 

I always love to talk to the father of the bride on a wedding day while the bride is getting ready. I had a few moments to steal away with Mallory’s dad and he told me she is one of four girls and was the last wedding they would be planning. He was so proud to see her walk down the stairs and see her in her wedding gown. 

The ceremony was held at the little Church in Brielle, just down the road from Manasquan River Golf Club where their reception was held. 

The bridal party was stunning in their navy suits and maroon dresses. Along with the soft little touches of their bouquets and boutenniere’s. Perfection! We had the best time photographing Mallory and Michael despite Michael’s nerves about being in front of my camera ;) 

Mallory danced her way into her reception wearing her Texas pride and of course, they repped Villanova! 

What a spectacular day!

Ashley and Kurt’s Wedding Videography at Avalon Yacht Club

Congratulations to Ashley and Kurt on their recent marriage! They tied the knot mid October at Avalon Yacht Club in Avalon, New Jersey. This venue was the perfect choice for their dream fall wedding celebration. Watch closely how our  NJ Wedding Videographer   made their day unforgettable!

During the early hours of their day, the beautiful bride began getting ready with her bridesmaids all around her. Her white wedding gown was beautifully beaded and fit Ashley perfectly. Behind the scenes of it all, our NJ Wedding Videographer was there for the magical first look Ashley’s father got with his beautiful daughter. It was a moment those two would never forget! Nearby, Kurt was also preparing for the big day as he straightened his tie and laced up his shoes. After a few group shots of all the bridal party were taken, it was time to head to the ceremony.

At last, guests found their seats as they eagerly awaited the arrival of Ashley to walk down the ceremony aisle. Their video recorded the stunning bride as she made her way closer and closer to meet Kurt. The happy couple said their vows and sealed their love with a kiss! Finally, the newlyweds shared a few more group shots with the rest of their bridal party outside, and at last, it was time to celebrate!

Together, Ashley and Kurt headed into their reception hand-in-hand with smiles that lit up the whole room. This special evening featured fun dancing, cake cutting and hearing the emotional speeches. Overall, our NJ Wedding Videographer was sure to capture every single moment for this beautiful couple and guests in attendance!

Congratulations, again, Ashley and Kurt! We wish you all the happiness and success in your future together! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you that night.
