With improved ergonomics and maximum comfort.

Sleek, intrepid, thirsty for wind & waves, embodying precision and finesse, the Lagoon 65 Sixty 5  is made to navigate the known and the unknown, to share adventures with your loved ones, and above all, to be at one with your yacht.

OUTDOOR: UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR THIS YACHT CATEGORY

“With its slender hulls, all in sculptural curves, the Sixty 5 displays its belonging to the world of luxury sailing yachts. The secret of its beauty lies in the sensual lines, an alliance of both tradition and modernity, which orchestrate its generous proportions.” – Patrick le Quément – Exterior design

INTERIOR: LUXURY AND COMFORT COME WITH SPACE AND LIGHT

“Aboard the Lagoon Sixty 5, you can look straight through fore to aft and out over the surroundings with commanding 360° views. The main saloon is comfortable and luxurious with open spaces and natural light. The same design concept is applied to cabins, which enjoy good overhead height and excellent natural light and views. The level of finishing repeats the luxury of the saloon while the owner’s cabin picks up and improves concepts from the successful Lagoon 620: a private water access aft like a terrace on the sea. Of course the master cabin is my favourite place on board, where luxury, comfort and style are best combined.” – Massimo Gino – Nauta Design

“The simplest thing is simplicity itself. A beautiful boat is defined by the generosity of its dimensions; her length and width perfectly accommodate quality rigging and powerful sails, which open up voyages and adventures. Everything is there, everything can be seen without required explanation, the Sixty 5 is a beautiful boat that exudes discretion and is a rite of passage. Her design expresses herself naturally, seamlessly integrating expertise and creativity into the finished product.” – Patrick le Quément –  Exterior design

Lagoon 65 Sixty 5 AFT RIG, PERFORMANCE AND EASY MANOEUVRING

“The Sixty 5 is a yacht on a human scale. I’m a sailor at heart, and there was no way the Sixty 5 wasn’t going to be really easy-to-use yacht that you could cruise far and wide under sail in comfort and with seakeeping qualities inherited from her big sister. I dream of going long-term cruising on this boat. Her long legs allow you to eat up the miles, and then you can enjoy her comfort at stopovers.” – Marc Van Peteghem – VPLP design

Blue Coast 65 Sailing Catamaran

The Blue Coast 65 is a new, modern, fast and luxurious performance sailing catamaran for a smaller crew who want to enjoy worldwide cruising on all oceans.

Description

A dynamic "full-custom" design by our Naval Architect Jean-Jacques Coste, who has been recognized worldwide for his fast sailing performance multihull yachts for many years.

2 half-height helm stations provide sheltered positions. In bad weather, the yacht can be steered from the inside steering position in the saloon.

On the spacious flybridge with generous sunbathing areas and a dining area you can enjoy the sun, the steering positions can also be placed there as an option.

The very spacious main deck offers an enormously large, comfortable living area:

The forward cockpit area is directly connected to the saloon with a watertight door, the perfect place to find peace in port.

The saloon with a comfortable lounge area and a fully equipped kitchen in a U-shape is a great place to be, with a bar counter in the middle with a retractable TV.

The shaded rear terrace is larger than the saloon and is probably the most popular place to dine, relax, welcome guests and friends. An outdoor kitchen can also be accommodated there.

On the cabin deck, a spacious master suite with bath and shower, a crew or single cabin that can alternatively be set up as an office or walk-in wardrobe, 2 guest cabins and a workshop offer a high level of comfort.

The forward storage compartments provide space for the washing machine, supplies, sails and equipment.

The layout of the flybridge, main and cabin decks can also be customized to suit your requirements.

Available with traditional diesel engines or with the innovative electric hybrid system "Green ECO Power".

Design according to your ideas

The design of the BLUE COAST 65 can be adapted to your ideas as you desire in terms of number and layout of cabins, interior fittings and furnishings.

Lagoon 65 (Sixty FIVE)

lagoon sixty 5

Description

The Lagoon Sixty 5 is the “smaller” sister to the SEVENTY 7. This is another semi-custom luxury cruising catamaran, one of the new fifth generation designs.

With her tapered hulls, and curved profile, this is an attractive luxury yacht with improved ergonomics, optimal comfort user friendly systems.

The Lagoon team have worked hard with designers VPLP to provide breathtaking 360° views of the horizon. The saloon is luxurious and very comfortable with open spaces flooded with light. The same design ethos extends to the cabins which have good headroom, excellent views and natural light.

The level of finish in the hulls reflects the luxury of this yacht. The owner’s cabin has direct access to the sea aft. the whole design of this yacht is a big step up from her predecessor: the Lagoon 620.

Lagoon SIXTY 5 Boat Tour at La Grand Motte Multihull Show

The 67-plus-foot Sixty 5 is also famous for its flybridge helm with commanding views over the sea and around the yacht. This yacht has twin helms with comfortable bench seating, four dual-speed Harken winches, all sheltered by a solid overhead Bimini.

Up here you ‘ll find a “fly galley” with a fridge, a sink, an ice maker, a Kenyon grill, and plenty of seating to throw a lunch party.

Down below, there is a second indoor helm station in the saloon.

The Lagoon Sixty FIVE is all about choice: this is a semi custom boat. Owners have many choices to make when they are ordring one of these yachts. You can opt for four, five or six staterooms; the galley can be up in the saloon or down below,  and there is plenty of choice of wood finishes and upholstery.

Sailboat Review: Lagoon Sixty 5

  • By Herb McCormick
  • November 8, 2022

Of all the tweaks and changes in the design and layout of large cruising catamarans , surely the most innovative has been the addition of the flybridge steering station and “upstairs” lounging space. To be perfectly honest, the feature took a while to grow on me. At first, it was a matter of aesthetics: What in the name of Herreshoff was that mainsail gooseneck doing a story or two up in the sky?

But as I sailed a few flybridge-equipped cats, particularly the Lagoon 620—the predecessor to the brand’s latest rangy cat, the Sixty 5—it dawned on me that my issue was a matter of perspective. The beauty of the flybridge isn’t obvious when you’re looking at it . The brilliance becomes clear when you’re experiencing the wide-open waters and 360-degree views of the horizon while perched upon it.

The 67-plus-foot Sixty 5 has a wide, well-reasoned platform high above the seas. Its commanding panoramas are just the beginning. Twin helms with comfy, upholstered bench seating, as well as the engine controls and chart plotters, flank a quartet of Harken winches, all of which are canopied by a solid overhead Bimini. The traditional mainsail is trimmed with the aid of a continuous-line traveler, also led to the Harkens. Unfortunately, our test sail was conducted in middling breeze, but we still made a solid 5 knots under the code-zero headsail in just 7 knots of wind.

Happily, there were other attractions to hold our attention, especially the “topside galley” with a fridge, a sink, an ice maker, a Kenyon grill, and enough seating to open your own waterborne cafe. As for steering, there’s a second indoor station in the saloon controlled by the B&G autopilot, negating the need to venture aloft for course adjustments.

Back at sea level, owners have many choices and options. There can be four, five or six staterooms; the galley can be up in the saloon or down in the hull; and there are numerous styles of Alpi wood finishes and upholstery—all of which you’d expect on a vessel with a price tag north of $3 million. The owner’s staterooms, in particular, are sumptuous.

Construction, as with the entire nine-model Lagoon line from 40 to 78 feet length overall, is straightforward: a balsa-cored laminate in both the hull and deck, with polyester and vinylester incorporated into the layup. The teak decks are a classy touch that you don’t usually encounter on a catamaran. There’s a pair of gensets, one of which addresses the overall house needs and a second dedicated to the individual air-conditioning units scattered hither and yon. A pair of 150 hp Yanmars is standard, though our test boat had been upgraded to twin 195 hp diesels coupled with Flexofold props.

The cat’s profile is striking, with a straight stem on the bow to maximize waterline length and the coach roof’s familiar turret-style brow—a signature Lagoon feature. There’s a cool forward cockpit for lounging and reading, offset by an aft cockpit with seating and a dining area. The integrated bowsprit is another sweet touch, allowing for a triple-headsail arrangement for easily shifting gears depending on wind strength and direction.

Lagoon is presently building about 20 boats a year. All have gone to private owners, not charter companies, though many owners are offering their boats with full crews from five to 10 weeks a year, to offset expenses. It’s a business model that’s tried-and-true with the superyacht set. The Sixty 5 is a lot of boat to handle, and nearly all owners will employ a hired captain, and chef and mate, who have their own dedicated quarters aboard.

But let’s return to that flybridge. I’ve always wanted to experience what it feels like to have the conn on a big freighter or cruise ship, with the long scans and endless ocean vistas. Since sailing the Lagoon Sixty 5, I think I know.

Sale of Lagoon 65

Here we explain the advantages of the cruising sailing catamaran Lagoon 65 for sale, as well as your benefits and bonuses when buying it through the topRik marketplace.

The hotel at the sea – that’s how the Lagoon SIXTY 5 is called. On the deck with a total area of 90 m² and in the cabins, more than 10 people can be comfortably accommodated. Basically, it repeats the motorized version of the Lagoon SEVENTY 7 – much larger and more expensive vessel. Two Volvo D4 engines with a capacity of 175 HP (instead of the standard 150) allow a cruising speed of 8-9 knots at 1800 rpm and a fuel consumption of 20 liters per hour. And of course, impressive sailing gear and equipment was also added.

The winches are installed in front of the mast, they are controlled through buttons from the flybridge. An additional option is the protection of the flybridge from the wind, in the basic version - a bimini awning.

By the way, about additional options. Would you like to create your own version of a catamaran? The topRik marketplace provides you with such an opportunity. Free and without registration, go to price calculator designed specifically for this sale of Lagoon 65 page and build your configuration based on your planned costs.

While having fun with the virtual configurator, feel free to contact the marketplace staff for advice - we provide this service for free. All topRik employees are experienced sailors who know the products of all the leading shipyards in the world. They picked up on favorable terms and delivered dozens of yachts to our marinas for our fleet and skipper school. All their experience is working for you today.<

The saloon occupies an area of 30 m², with the bar and dining area large enough for 8 people. It can house either a modest galley or a full-fledged kitchen - at the choice of the buyer. The 36 m² aft cockpit also features a galley, large table, plush sofas and cushioned loungers. The bow cockpit (13 m²) is the ideal place for sunbathing and evening gatherings in good company.

Cabins are located in the hulls of a cruise catamaran, in different versions - from 4 to 6 rooms ranging from 9.5 to 12 m². All cabins have all the necessary amenities. The owner's cabin can occupy an area of over 21 m² - this is half the area of the starboard hull. It provides maximum comfort and coziness - a huge comfortable double bed, a table, wardrobes, shelves for things and books, TV, air conditioning, shower, toilet.

If you have decided on your version of Lagoon SIXTY 5 for sale and don’t want to deal with the burdensome search for the cat and negotiations with the manufacturer or dealers, if you don’t know how to control the quality of the purchased yacht, how to haul it or what documents are required at different stages of the process, just contact our experts. They will take care of all these concerns - you will only have to worry about the celebration of the yacht’s arrival at your berth.

Right now, we are ready to receive your call, e-mail message or provide answers for you through our feedback system.

Prestige Yachts, the luxury cat brand in Group Beneteau’s boat-building powerhouse, reckons that its new 65-foot flagship M8 has the space of an 85-foot monohull motoryacht.

Take the owner’s suite. Spanning the M8’s entire 29-foot beam, it features an oversize bedroom, an adjoining den, a walk-in closet, and a bathroom worthy of a luxury hotel. And there are four other cabins aboard that are almost as spacious.

Prestige Yachts M8 power cat.

“The aim was to create a true villa on the sea. We tried everything possible to make it not feel like a traditional boat,” Erwin Bamps, Prestige VP told Robb Report during our sea trial before the M8’s U.S. premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) .

This M8 follows in the wake of Prestige’s M48, launched a year ago, in what will eventually be a full range of M-Line power cats penned by long-time Prestige designer Camillo Garonni. For now, this 65-footer, being built at Groupe Beneteau Italia’s Montfalcone yard, is the new flagship.

Prestige Yachts M8 power cat

It looks truly massive tied to a Bahia Mar marina dock in Fort Lauderdale. Typical power cats often have the boxy appearance of a sailing catamaran, minus the mast. But Garonni has delivered a sleekness to the lines, with tall hull sides and an ax-bow design, balanced by a glass-filled superstructure with a raked, wraparound front screen.

Steps on each side of the aft platform lead into the expansive rear cockpit. Stroll around the wide, and reassuringly tall, side decks up to the bow, and you’ll find one of the M8’s coolest features: a two-level foredeck. The upper section features a giant sunpad, while up at the bow, you step down into a “conversation pit” with facing sofas and seating for 10.

Prestige M8

The “villa on the sea” concept is heightened by all the ultra-modern, free-standing, modular furniture by Italy’s Pininfarina. In this first hull, there’s a Miami Beach vibe with cool shades of ice blue, cream and soft gray.

On the flybridge, the helm and companion seats are positioned side by side, with unobstructed, 360-degree visibility. We settle into the helm seat, throw off the lines, head from the marina into the busy Intracoastal Waterway and out into the Atlantic to see how the M8 performs.

Yacht Prestige M8 Power Catamaran

The vessel is powered by a pair of 600 hp Volvo D8 turbodiesels—one in each hull—made quieter by sound-deadening materials. The thinking here is comfort, not so much speed, though its top speed of 20 knots is hardly lethargic.

These twin pontoons are not planing hulls, nor are the Volvos especially powerful for this size yacht. But the slender, vertical bows slice easily through the waves, with the cat’s broad beam providing good stability.

At 17 knots, the engines are barely audible and burning less than 45 gallons per hour—impressive for a 54-ton cruiser. Throttle back to a more sedate eight knots, and the burn rate is just five gallons an hour. With twin 490-gallon tanks, the M8 at cruise speed will run over 350 nautical miles between fill-ups.

Yachts Prestige M80 Power Cat

Thanks to the catamaran design, the M8 made tight turns without a hint of roll, and any waves or wakes from other boats felt minimal with its high-running sponsons. The M8 has a Category A certification for seaworthiness, and it shows.

The new Prestige will retail for around $5.2 million as a base boat, or $6.2 million nicely loaded. If you love the idea of all that space, Prestige will happily sell hull number one. Just ask for the boat show “Special.”

The main saloon is comfortable and luxurious with open spaces and natural light. The same design concept is applied to cabins, which enjoy good overhead height and excellent natural light and views. The level of finishing repeats the luxury from the saloon while the owners cabin picks up and improves concepts from the successful Lagoon 620: a private water access aft like a terrace on the sea. Of course the master cabin is my favourite place on board, where luxury, comfort and style are best combined.”
