Guest Accommodation

Libra Y is great for families thanks to her child-friendly setup. She offers guest accommodation for up to 10 guests with a layout comprising a master suite, two double cabins and one twin cabin. There are 6 beds in total, including 1 king, 2 doubles, 1 single, 2 pullmans and 1 convertible. She is also capable of carrying up to 7 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Performance & Range

Libra Y is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by twin MTU engines, she comfortably cruises at 15 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 19 knots with a range of up to 3,000 nautical miles from her 52,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots.

When not cruising Libra Y has onboard an incredible selection of water toys and accessories for you and your guests to connect with the waters around you. Built by the Italian shipyard Cantieri di Pisa in 1977, Motor yacht LIBRA Y (Ex Solitaire of the Isles) was refitted in 2016. Measuring 42,5m (139,5ft), she can accommodate 10 charter guests, in 5 spacious cabins.

Stepping inside the yacht invites guests into a spacious light and airy ambience. On the main deck is a large salon lounge, featuring relaxing sofas, occasional chairs, ottomans and coffee tables. Further forward is a day head, followed by the full beam master stateroom. There is an upper sky lounge with seating, tables and a day head. Both the salon and the upper lounge have direct access to the exterior decks, making them each ideal for entertaining and socializing. On the lower deck are an additional 4 guest cabins, all of which boast private en-suite facilities.

LIBRA Y Specifications

There are plenty of exterior deck areas to enjoy. The main deck wraps around the yacht and provides direct access to foredeck. On the aft section is an alfresco dining table with seating for 10 and a comfortable exterior lounge. Partial shade is available from the upper deck’s overhang. Forward on the main deck is a raised sunpad space. Adjacent to the skylounge is a sundeck, offering seating, sunpads and partial shade. The top deck is a sunlovers paradise, featuring a private sunning area with generous sunpads.

LIBRA Y is fitted with dual MTU 2000hp engines, she has cruising speeds of 15 knots and top speeds of 18 knots.

Libra Y’s main living area connects with the main deck, alternately acting as a large, relaxed living space and as an indoor dining room. A second living space / office is found on the upper deck, where original modernist furniture is used to celebrate this yacht’s aesthetic. Bannenberg’s timeless interior design extends from the main living spaces into the cabins, where rich wood tones, subtle detailing and clean open spaces showcase his talents as a yacht designer. 10 guests can be accommodated in five cabins, which consist of a grandiose master, two double cabins, a twin cabin and a bunk bed cabin. With the owner a keen art collector, charter guests can admire the yacht’s collection of sea themed black and white photographs, with works by artists such as Nan Goldin, Roe Ethridge, Matthew Barney, Roni Horn, Nobuyoshi Araki, Piotr Uklanski, Louise Lawler, Tacita Dean and Christopher William. A floating private art gallery! Stepping outside, the expansive deck spaces provide guests with multiple areas to socialise or find solitude. Gourmet al fresco meals can be enjoyed around the full length dining table, and cocktails can be sipped from comfortable lounge seating. Sun lovers are well catered for, with countless sun loungers and custom-built sun pads, in addition to the private sunbathing spot found on the hanging balcony at the front of the bridge. On the main and upper decks guests can enjoy a massage, yoga classes, or simply take in the stunning view over the Greek waters. When needing to cool off, guests can dive straight into crystal seas, take a tender to a private beach, or take advantage of Libra Y’s many water toys, which include kayaks, waterskis, an SUP, several towables and snorkelling equipment. With a PADI certified crew member on board, divers can also head below the waves to explore Greece’s superb dive sites, with an endless choice of wrecks, sunken cites and marine reserves to explore. Zero speed stabilisers have been installed to ensure comfort at anchor, and she cruises Greek waters at a smooth 15 knots. A passionate crew of seven are on hand to make every experience memorable. He graduated the marine academy of Hydra island and started his professional career in the field of cruise industry starting as a 2nd Officer and Chief Officer later; and after in cargo vessels, responsible for navigation, loading operations and safety ,navigating all over the world. In 2011 he switched to motor yachts which was always an industry that attracted him. When he obtained the Master Mariner License (unlimited tonnage), he grabbed the opportunity to take the command of luxurious yachts and from January 2022 joined the Libra Y. Captain Stefanos speaks fluent English. A low profile personality with communication skills who used to work under normal and extreme conditions. After school he was deployed in Special forces and graduated from 3 different army schools of Greek army including paratrooper training. After army he worked as a maritime security in Gulf of Aden for a year. His interest in maritime led him to work in yachts and make more of use his skills for safety and taking care of people on board as well as handling rough conditions in sea. The owner being a collector has curated a group of contemporary photographs with the sea being the main concept, thus introducing art into this modern yacht space.

Captain Stefanos Magiatis

Captain Stefanos was born in 1979 and grew up in Salamina island spending his childhood summers in the islands of the Aegean & Ionian Sea, learning through experiences that made him what he is today. A true ship and sea passionate seaman. Third generation seaman, following the path of his grandfather and his father, professional seamen in the Merchant navy. He graduated the marine academy of Hydra island and started his professional career in the field of cruise industry starting as a 2nd Officer and Chief Officer later; and after in cargo vessels, responsible for navigation, loading operations and safety ,navigating all over the world. In 2011 he switched to motor yachts which was always an industry that attracted him. When he obtained the Master Mariner License (unlimited tonnage), he grabbed the opportunity to take the command of luxurious yachts and from January 2022 joined the Libra Y. Captain Stefanos speaks fluent English. A low profile personality with communication skills who used to work under normal and extreme conditions. He is a friendly personality equipped with patience and persistence; he is able to manage people giving solutions under pressure. In his free time he likes swimming, bicycling and reading.

Engineer Thanasis Triantafyllou

Thanasis was born in 1984 in Salamina island, Greece, spending his childhood summers in the island of Paros together with his grandfather and his father both professional seamen, which inspired him to become a seaman too. He is responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all equipment for both crew and guests areas of the vessel, manages and supervises the repairs and overhaulings. He graduated the Marine Academy of Chios island and has served in bulk carriers (cargo vessels) reaching the rank of Chief Engineer in young age. He joined Libra Y in 2022.

Chef Stratos Domazos

Born in 1981 in Athens Greece, Stratos started as an apprentice in luxury hotels and awarded restaurants. Having explored through traveling around the world the food culture of various countries he took the next step joining various yachts as a chef. He prides hImself on using the freshest local ingredients available and can often be found sourcing new markets and local delicacies. He strives to ensure excellence in every dish both in taste and appearance. Stratos joined M/Y Libra Y in October 2018.

Boatswain Alexis Giannakopoulos

Alexis was born in 1989 in Athens Greece. He has served private and charter yachts in Italy and Greece. He is an extremely refined and discreet person with a great sense of humor. He will share with you his knowledge on water sports. He enjoys spending his free time in nature and with his dogs. Alexis joined M/Y Libra Y in October 2017.

A look at the most expensive superyachts at the Palm Beach yacht show and their insane features, from basketball courts on deck to ice baths and saunas

• The Palm Beach International Boat Show kicks off later this week.
• Eight megayachts are expected to be on display for would-be buyers and charter customers.
• These are the show's biggest yachts — and how many millions of dollars they are going for.

The Palm Beach International Boat Show — the yacht world's flashiest event stateside — is returning this year with over 800 boats for both deep-pocked potential owners and window shoppers to peruse.

While it's impossible to know what exactly will be on display until the show begins on Thursday, it's expected that eight megayachts — generally defined as ships over 60 meters long — will be docked at the show and at nearby marinas like the Rybovich Marina in the ritzy Florida town.

Some of these are for sale at eye-popping prices, but others are available to if in case you fancy living like a billionaire for a week or two this summer (and if you have six figures to spare on a vacation).

These are the eight biggest yachts that will be at the Palm Beach International Boat Show and nearby marinas, in size order.

Nero: 90.1 meters

Price: From $497,000 a week (charter)

Standout features: Pizza ovens, beauty salon, massage room, resistance pool

Reportedly owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien, Nero is modeled after J.P. Morgan's 1930s ship , and was built in 2007 and updated in 2021.

She now boasts a gym on her sundeck with multiple cardio machines and a beauty salon, and has an on-board beautician for manicure, pedicure, hair, and massage needs. There's also an upgraded movie theater, two new pizza ovens, and both a pool and a jacuzzi.

For those who want to go overboard, she has more than a dozen toys, including a waterslide, Jet Ski, and flyboard.

Victorious: 85 meters

Price: From $876,600 a week in the summer and $950,000 a week in the winter

Standout features: Hammam (Turkish bath), wine cellar, wood-burning fireplace, children's playroom

Victorious brings a party vibe to the yacht show. With a beach club on board, a wine cellar, a cigar clubroom , multiple bars, and a lounge with a piano, the vessel is made for entertaining. Plus, there's a playroom and movie theater to entertain the kids.

For tamer charter clients, Victorious has a suite of wellness features such as a gym, massage room, beauty salon and hammam, or Turkish bath — perhaps a custom request of her owner, Turkish businessman Vural Ak.

She also boasts a treasure trove of water toys, including Jet Skis, jetsurfs, inflatable kayaks, and scuba equipment.

Casino Royale: 72 meters

Special Features: Infinity pool, helipad, private jacuzzi

Purchased and refitted by car dealer magnate John Staluppi last year, Casino Royale is the latest of his James Bond-inspired yachts (he's also owned an Octopussy and a Skyfall, among others).

Casino Royale has a helipad that turns into a dancefloor, an infinity pool, and a wellness center with a gym and sauna. The owner's cabin has its own deck, which features a private bar and jacuzzi.

However, the boat's price isn't listed, and while she's not necessarily officially for sale, that might change depending on who's prepared to buy, Mr. Bond.

Talisman C: 70.6 meters

Price: $60 million (or from $567,000 a week to charter)

Special features: Massage and beauty room, private library

Likely the largest yacht for sale (not just charter) at the show, the Talisman C is a 2011 six-bedroom boat. The owner's cabin comes with an en suite bathroom, dressing room, private library, and crystal chandeliers.

Amenities include a gym, a beauty room, oversized jacuzzi, and a fully equipped bar. Her crew of 19 includes a trained masseuse, and the toy room comes equipped with a wakeboard, eFoil , and WaveRunners.

Joy: 70 meters

Price: From $650,000 a week

Special features: Disco club, basketball court, onboard fitness instructor

Superyacht Joy testifies to the fact that owners want as many on-board experiences as they can get.

There's an expansive suite of fitness features, including a basketball court (don't shoot that hoop too hard!), a personal trainer on staff, boxing equipment, and a handful of machines. For post-workout winddowns, there's a spa with a steam room and onboard masseuse. And for entertainment, there's both an outdoor and indoor cinema, and a disco club.

Triumph: 65.4 meters

Price: From $707,600 a week in the summer and $650,000 a week in the winter

Special features: Sauna, helipad, banana boat

This 2021 superyacht is named after Triumph motorcycles — a reported favorite of her rumored owner, British businessman Chris Dawson — and even has one on display as an art piece in the upper deck's lounge. The primary suite is 1,400 square feet and has its own study , and there's a sauna, an indoor-outdoor gym, a helipad, and a massage room spread among her six decks.

She boasts an "armada of water toys," including two kinds of Jet Skis, electric water bikes, and a banana boat.

Seanna: 64.5 meters

Price: $54,000,000 (or from $462,000 a week to charter)

Special features: marble foyer, movie room, sundeck pool

The recently refurbished Seanna is available for sale and charter.

Her indoor-outdoor gym is on sea level so that passengers can take a dip after a session with the onboard personal trainer. There's also a sundeck pool, a helipad, a two-room massage facility, and, for the more cerebral guests, a library with an electric fireplace.

There are a number of toys on board, including a popular water trampoline and two WaveRunners.

Come Together: 60 meters

Price: $65,000,000

Special Features: DJ and videographer on board, ice bath, sauna

Next-to-new yacht Come Together is looking for a new owner after doing charters during the 2023 season.

The Beatles' influence is evident beyond the yacht's name, with guitars dotting the sky lounge and a crewmember who doubles as a DJ. There's also an outdoor cinema and bar for entertainment and an ice bath and sauna for the day after the party. The owner's suite has a private study and lounge, and each guest cabin has its own ensuite.

The sale includes a number of toys, like Jet Skis, kayaks, and Seabobs.

Greek authorities seize 3.75 million capsules of contraband nerve pain drug pregabalin

ATHENS, Greece — Greek authorities said Saturday they seized more than three tons of the prescription nerve pain drug pregabalin and impounded a yacht registered in the United Kingdom.

The operation took place Thursday night at the port of Lavrio, 43 miles southeast of Athens, the coast guard said.

On the yacht, the coast guard found 3.75 million capsules of Nervigesic, a brand name used by Indian pharmaceuticals firm HAB Pharma for pregabalin. The capsules were packaged in 500 cardboard boxes weighing nearly 3.15 tons, the statement said.

Pregabalin is used to treat nerve pain caused by a variety of conditions, such as diabetes and shingles, and also to treat a type of seizure called partial seizure because it has its origin at a single location in the brain.

The raid was ordered based on information from Greece’s “National Intelligence Agency about the activity of networks of Egyptian nationals in Greek territory,” the statement said.

The yacht and its contents remain at the Lavrio port while local authorities conduct an investigation, the coast guard said.

Yacht dealer to the stars attacked by rhysida ransomware gang, marinemax may be in choppy waters after 'stolen data' given million-dollar price tag.

The Rhysida ransomware group claims it was responsible for the cyberattack at US luxury yacht dealer MarineMax earlier this month.

MarineMax, which posted multibillion-dollar revenues last year, disclosed a cyberattack to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on March 10, saying portions of its business were disrupted as a result of the containment measures it enacted.

At the time, the Clearwater, Florida company didn't mention any involvement of ransomware, and its operations were said to have "continued throughout this matter in all material respects."

The Form 8-K filed with the SEC earlier this month states: "The Company does not maintain sensitive data in the information environment impacted by the incident."

Rhysida this week posted a snippet of the data it claims to have stolen from MarineMax to its website, but the montages of documents don't clearly or conclusively reveal their nature. The majority of the leaked documents appear to be related to accounts and finances.

We asked the crooks if they could confirm exactly what kind of data they allege they took from MarineMax, but they didn't immediately respond.

In typical fashion for the group, Rhysida says it is holding a seven-day auction on its site. If it receives a bid it deems fair for the value of the data it claims to have stolen, it will sell it to a single third party on an exclusive basis, rather than making it public.

This method essentially acts as a second means to monetize an alleged breach if the victim refuses to pay. In the usual double extortion ransomware scenario, the attacker requests a ransom, then dumps the stolen data online if the victim doesn't pay.

International effort to disrupt cybercrime moves into operational phase.

Rhysida would still likely make the data public if it doesn't receive a bid to its satisfaction – the current price is set at 15 Bitcoin ($1.007 million) – but the auction offers a potential plan B payout that other groups rarely utilize.

"With just seven days on the clock, seize the opportunity to bid on exclusive, unique, and impressive data," its website reads.

"Open your wallets and be ready to buy exclusive data. We sell only to one hand, no reselling, you will be the only owner!"

MarineMax deals in new and used boats, brokers yachts, and markets itself as "the world's largest recreational boat, yacht, and superyacht services company."

Given the nature of its business and the value of the products it deals with, its clientele is likely comprised of high earners and wealthy elites – individuals who would not be too keen on having any sensitive data and accounting information in the hands of criminals.

If the data stolen by Rhysida did indeed include this kind of information, it would be easy to make a case for it being valued at 15 Bitcoin ($1.007 million), given the potential phishing and financial fraud campaigns that miscreants could carry out.

Keen readers of El Reg will remember that Rhysida was responsible for the attack on the British Library last year – one from which the national institution is still trying to recover. It's still the gang's biggest scalp to this day.

Shortly after the incident, the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) published an extensive report on the group, raising awareness of its typical behaviors so organizations can plug any holes it regularly exploits.

CISA says it sees similarities between the operations of the group, named after a genus of centipede, and those of Vice Society ransomware gang. It's also known to remote into MFA -less victims' networks using stolen credentials, by phishing employees, or by exploiting vulnerabilities such as Zerologon . ®

At the Japan International Boat Show 2024, Lexus unveiled the 1/20 scale model of its new LY680 Luxury Yacht , an upgrade of the previous LY650 water vehicle . Lexus’ latest model comes with an expanded swimming platform and flybridge to accommodate more guests on deck. The extended flybridge, which measures 1,400mm, now features a spacious lounge area and a dedicated barbecue grill, while the swimming platform has been expanded by 700mm to accommodate additional guests who wish to take a dip in the sea.

When Lexus conceived the idea for its LY680 Luxury Yacht, even before its debut at the Japan International Boat Show 2024 , the design team aimed to create a water vehicle that would feel like a ‘tranquil hideaway at sea.’ They imagined it as a moving space where ‘discerning customers could feel free and at ease.’ The resulting concept was a three-level luxury yacht equipped with living spaces that make the LY680 feel like a deluxe apartment on the sea.

The passengers enter the Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht, and when they descend, they can find a kidney-shaped sofa nestled in one corner. Adjacent to the sofa is a desk with a plush seat, tailored as a workspace at sea for those who still need to hustle. Panoramic windows adorn the space, offering views of the waters and allowing natural light to flood in. The use of dark, varnished wood adds a sense of opulence to the interior, and across from the sofa and desk, a semi-circular bed invites passengers to relax while watching the waves and scenery through slanted windows.

Walking up to the control area, the captain of Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht navigates the water vehicle with ease through the expansive set of windows. The openness of the space is further enhanced by plush seating, two of them reminiscent of cinema seats. Even the wooden floors help brighten up the overall aesthetic. During the Japan International Boat Show 2024, where yacht enthusiasts could view the 1/20 scale model of the LY680, Lexus revealed that the luxury yacht can accommodate up to 15 passengers across three rooms with six beds.

Twin Volvo engines for Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht

For those interested in specifications, Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht is expected to be equipped with Twin Volvo IPS 1350/1050 engines and have a fuel tank capacity of 4,012 liters and a fresh water tank capacity of 852 liters. Production of the luxury yacht will be carried out by the Horizon Group, based on the Toyota Production System. Lexus has announced that yacht enthusiasts can reserve their water vehicle model through Toyota Marine sales offices in Japan and select dealerships. As of publishing, Lexus aims to deliver the first batch of the LY680 Luxury Yacht in Spring 2026, with international availability pending based on customer demand.
