Usability as the first rule

The fundamental idea of Q Yachts is to develop high-end electric boats that are easy to own and effortless to use. This has been achieved by an industry leading electric propulsion system and functional design.

The 9.3-meter-long day-cruiser is a perfect boat for day trips and at a speed of six knots you can drive freely for 10 hours (60 nautical miles). The boat offers a maximum speed of 14 knots.

The spacious and luminous cabin makes the boat a great fit for over night stays, creating a complete boating experience and allowing you to truly relax onboard.

The boat’s batteries are easily charged full during the night, and best of all, the boat can be charged anywhere with a normal plug. In addition, the boat has a refrigerator, a water point and an electric toilet with fresh water.

The Finnish-built Q30 from Q-Yachts is an elegant-looking electric day cruiser, adding a new dimension to the electric field. Jare Tilhonen, aka Cheek, and the master of five-card stud Jens Kyllonen have taken delivery of the first 30-footer, with its all-white hull and cockpit furniture (including a white table), retro plumb bow, and open stern. Q-Yachts founder Janne Kjellman wanted a clean look with silent operations. The Oceanvolt electric propulsion is quieter than a human voice, and the upgrade engine option gives the boat a top speed of 15 knots. At nine knots, it has a range of 80 miles. The Q30’s helm is about as simple as it gets, with its wooden steering wheel, single throttle, and portable iPad to control onboard functions. The uber-white cabin turns the boat into a weekender. Q Yachts Club 24: new electric boat for boat clubs, rentals

Q Yachts , one of the pioneers of electric boating, has just delivered the first Club Boat 24, an electric cruiser designed specifically for the growing number of boat sharing clubs and rental services. It has been delivered to international boat sharing service Skipperi for their subscribers in Helsinki and Stockholm.

Q Yachts was founded in Helsinki in 2016 by Janne Kjellman, who is also the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit behind Oceanvolt electric motors, recognized as leaders in regenerating technologies, particularly their ServoProp saildrive .

A keen sailor, Kjellman started Oceanvolt almost two decades ago, in 2004, to develop a silent and sustainable propulsion system for boats. The original and still main market for their products is sailboats. Q Yachts was conceived with the vision of bringing an electric motorboat to the market that offers the same experience of speed and silence experienced on a performance sailing yacht.

The Q Yachts flagship model is the Q30, an 8 passenger e-boat introduced in 2018 and known for its clean, minimalist aesthetic and spacious below deck cabin.

The Club Boat 24 extends that design philosophy and translates it for the growing market of people who love a day on the water with friends but are not interested in the hassles of docking fees, insurance, maintenance and the other necessary inconveniences of boat ownership.

With a cruising speed of 6 knots the Club Boat 24 has a range of 78 nautical miles and can be charged at standard dock charging pillars. The whole Club Boat 24 experience brings the user friendly advantages of boat sharing/rental to a whole new level, especially with growing concern about climate change. (Not to mention rising fuel prices!)

Skipperi is also based in Finland and now has a fleet of 340+ boats Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, Bronby (Denmark), Auckland and Toronto. Their goal is to “make boating easy so you can focus on the best parts.”

An enthusiastic sailor founded Oceanvolt and Q Yachts. Oceanvolt started in 2004 – a long time before electric drives are hyped – to develop electric propulsion for sailing yachts. Years later, the company founder Mr. Janne Kjellman launched Q Yachts with its model Q30 to present a full-electric day boat with a clean and minimalistic design that fits perfectly to the silence of electric engines.

The boat has a range of 42 nautical miles with the standard 30 kWh battery pack or 80 nautical miles with the optional 60 kWh battery pack at a cruising speed of nine knots. In fast cruising mode 15 knots), the range reduces to 22 nautical miles respectively 40 nautical miles. The guest capacity is up to eight guests.

The bright styled interior of the Q30 offers the opportunity for an overnight stop with bed and head. The skylight lets natural light in the cabin. An all-around LED and LED spots serving to light at night.

The boat weighs 1500 kg – plus trailer it is still light enough to be towed by a Tesla Model X (towing capacity 2250 kg). In my eyes, one of the coolest car/trailer combination in the world.

The boat has a base price of EUR 183,000 without VAT, ex Yard in Finland. The boat fits in a 40-feet container for shipment.

The first unit has been sold to the Finnish rapper Jore Tiihonen aka Cheek and the former professional poker player Jens Kyllönen .

Q is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by 1 x Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 7,200 nautical miles from her 38,000 litre fuel tanks at cruising speed.

Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy fun on the water with the collection of water toys and accessories aboard Q. Principle among these is a Topper sailboat to bring out the explorer in you. In addition there are waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Another excellent feature are wakeboards so guests can show off at speed. If that isn't enough Q also features kayaks, fishing equipment and snorkelling equipment. Q features two tenders, but leading the pack is a 6.2m/20'4" Pascoe Jet Tender to transport you in style.

Q is available upon request for charter this winter. She is already accepting bookings this summer for cruising in the Mediterranean.

OSPREY is a fine example of a very hard-to-come-by 2016 Hunt Harrier 26 powered with the optional Yamaha 300hp outboard motor with only 215 hours. Lift-kept with custom sun covers, she shows beautifully with her Stars & Stripes blue hull, Oyster White boot stripe and black bottom. In 2018 the Yamaha outboard motor was painted to match the gelcoat and a faux teak transom was applied, nice custom touches done by the Hinckley Company. Drone flying toward Moscow downed in Elektrostal

MOSCOW, November 19. A drone flying to Moscow has been downed by air defense systems in Elektrostal in the Moscow Region, no one was hurt, Moscow’s Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said on Sunday.

"In the Elektrostal municipal district, air defense forces repelled an attack by a drone, which was flying toward Moscow. According to preliminary data, its fragments fell down incurring no damage. No one was hurt," he wrote on his Telegram channel .

Sunrise Yachts, a luxury yacht building company which is based in Turkey, has been made a main sponsor of next year’s 2011 Moscow International Boat Show (MIBS). The four-day Russian yacht show event is currently scheduled to run from April 14-17 at the Moscow’s Crocus exhibition centre.

MIBS is organised by the ITE Group and it is one of Russia’s leading boat shows and is an internationally recognised superyacht event. The show covering everything from small parts and accessories to large superyacht with over 9,000 people and 178 exhibitors attended the last year show.

The Paolo Scanu-designed Sunrise 45 yacht is an ocean-going cruising yacht that was released in 2009 to much acclaim at this was the group’s first-ever model.

Sunrise Yachts was founded in 2007 by the German entrepreneur Herbert P Baum along with the French-British yacht builder Guillaume Roché. The luxury yacht group is based in Antalya, Turkey and utilises a 10,000sq m shipyard facility. Sunrise has two sheds measuring 100m (328ft) x 16m (53ft), as well as a 70m (230ft) x 16m (53ft) fully acclimatized paint shed that can accommodate new-build and refit projects up to 65m (213ft) in length and 1,200 tonnes displacement.

Along each side of the yacht-building facility, space is available for long-term sub-contractors with the latest equipment and logistics capabilities, along with air-conditioned storage, ventilation and extraction plants. The shipyard is organized as an “assembler,” based loosely on the car industry’s model, with a small, yet powerful project management team charged with running all the in-house long-term sub-contractors.
