This 64-foot catamaran in the series 6 was designed by Longtime Privilège-partner and naval architect Marc Lombard, with interiors by Franck Darnet Design.
The result is a sailboat that is fast in the water and packed with luxurious details from for to aft. This catamaran offers an unforgettable comfort during sailing. Privilège Marine Development and Research department has put a lot of energy and focus in the interior to offer more flexibility.
The hull of the new Privilège «SERIE 6» takes advantage of the most recent development trends of Previlège Marin Arkitektkontor in the multihull section with:
– Sharp lines for lower water resistance and better performance at different speeds. – More volume at the ends (high prismatic coefficient) to reduce the pitch (and to limit the amplitude) and to limit the variations in the trim, depending on the boat’s height to the wind. – Height section above the waterline and side windows recessed into the hull for the more structural rigidity of the hull. – Higher bottom of the nacellen designed to receive more equipment tailored to the actual standards in terms of comfort in the Privilège range.
This new yacht combines «More than flattering» Performance and increased load capacity, ensuring an enjoyable and fast cruising.
These exclusive catamarans are the latest acquisition within Hanse Group. These are included in Premium Yachts and offer you an exclusive catamaran with individual customization.
Privilège’s roots go back to the mid-1980 century, and over the years the company has proven to have been sent to build large, long-legged cruising-catamarns. With series 6, this rumor has become even a bit more polished.

Privilège Marine and Hanse Yachts: it's all over!
Article published on 17/06/2022
By Emmanuel van Deth
published in n°184 july / aug.
Just three years, a short-lived romance. Hanse Yachts became the majority shareholder in the Privilège Marine shipyard in 2019.

The specialist in high-end semi-custom catamarans based in Les Sables d'Olonne on France’s Atlantic coast was at the time facing a mini-crisis in growth, that justified the merger with a major German industrial group - the Hanse group in fact owns 6 brands of sailboats and powerboats, all monohulls. Taking on Privilège Marine gave them the opportunity to establish themselves in the very buoyant cruising catamaran sector. Sadly, 36 months later, the expected synergies between the various builders have not yet materialized despite Privilège's workforce having doubled and the range being renewed. Against this background, Gilles Wagner, CEO of Privilège Marine, will likely take over the helm of the shipyard thanks to the support of co-investors who own Privilège catamarans, demonstrating that good relations with customers can open up all manner of perspectives... The agreement could be concluded in July to take effect in October.

New Hanse 410 on Her Way
With the new Hanse 410, Hanse is now launching the third model in its revolutionary new series, which combines radically innovative design with the essential Hanse values: fast cruising and easy sailing. The Hanse 410 will celebrate its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival (12-17 September 2023).
The new Hanse 410 is the latest result of Hanse’s collaboration with the yacht designers of Berret- Racoupeau. With its unrivalled volume in the 40-foot class and its well thought-out layout options, the yacht opens up a whole new dimension. Her optimised hull design with chines at the bow and stern ensures a slim waterline and thus the uncompromising performance and effortlessness when sailing that is typical of Hanse.
Comfort and style dominate the yacht’s refined interior. With its enormous variety of options, the new Hanse 410 can be customised to meet almost all the owner’s dreams and needs.
For the first time, the Hanse 410 offers optional electric propulsion with an enormous range of up to 55 nautical miles. This means that even without wind, most destinations can be reached in a climate-friendly way.
Hull: The hydrodynamic design with a slim waterline ensures high hull speed. The chines fore and aft ensure a wide hull for maximum interior space. The wave-breaking reverse bow ensures that the yacht heels less in strong winds, while the pronounced chines on the bow keep the foredeck as dry as possible.
Deck: The well-conceived helm allows full control of the Hanse 410 in every situation. All information converges here, and all lines and winches can be operated from here. The secondary winch is mounted at an optimum working height on the coaming for perfect trimming of the flying headsails.
As an option, the Hanse 410 offers an easy-to-open storage compartment for a life raft, centrally located in the cockpit directly behind the steering system. It is perfectly accessible and provides sufficient space for standard life raft containers.
The cockpit is the largest in this class, with two tables that can be optionally lowered to provide large lounging areas. An optional wet bar at the stern with BBQ and sink with mixer tap maximises the luxurious, relaxed lifestyle and comfort without limiting the generous cockpit space. And when closed, it also provides another seating option.
Rigg: The Hanse 410’s tall and sporty rig with generous sail areas of 92 m2 upwind and 179 m2 on room and downwind courses underlines the performance potential of the Hanse 410. The standard bowsprit with its integrated anchor arm serves as a forward attachment point for headsail and gennaker. Optional electric winches are just as much a part of the Hanse-typical easy handling as the obligatory self-tacking jib.
In addition, the Hanse 410 can be equipped with a 105% jib and a code zero. As a particularly environmentally friendly option, high-performance SPS Sustainable Performance Sails from Elvstrøm are available, made predominantly from recycled materials.
Interior: The intelligent arrangement of 10 opening hatches and up to 10 opening windows and portholes ensures maximum light and ventilation below deck. 18 possible layout combinations offer customers every opportunity to configure their Hanse 410 according to their personal needs.
With the largest owner’s cabin in its class including its own bathroom or with dressing table and seating or plenty of wardrobe space, with two comfortable aft cabins or a spacious aft cabin and a large stowage area – the yacht can be configured to meet every need. The extremely spacious saloon offers room for a convivial gathering of up to ten people at the large table. In addition, the generous L-pantry leaves nothing to be desired.
And in the two-cabin layout, the new Hanse 410 offers the largest possible refrigerator capacity in her class. Another optional highlight is the fully equipped navigation station. The extensive equipment list is topped by the Flagship package, which includes exclusive fabrics and materials, handholds covered with fine leather, additional storage and a fold-down backrest in the saloon.

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital
There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.
How to find the right boat?
There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.
Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.
This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.
Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such option offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).
If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.
Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.
How to buy tickets?
Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.
“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!” wrote (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.
Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.
Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.
Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.
Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as this offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.
This website (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other website sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.
Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.
“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.
There are two main boarding piers in the city center: Hotel Ukraine and Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.
Where to sit onboard?
Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.
The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.
Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.
There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.

First look: Hanse 510 – decidedly different style
- Toby Hodges
- January 23, 2023
The new Hanse 510 follows in the footsteps of the 460 and is another marker that Hanse is moving in a decidedly different direction
Product Overview
Hanse’s second model from the board of the Berret-Racoupeau design studio, the Hanse 510, sets the German yard firmly on a course towards a completely new range with a decidedly different style to existing models.
The launch of the Hanse 460 in 2022 marked a step change in design thinking and a whole new perspective of what’s possible to achieve in a boat of this size. Wide beam carried right aft and well forward provides supremely spacious accommodation, along with plenty of layout and styling options, yet we also found the 46 to be surprisingly rewarding to sail.
The wide beam confers excellent form stability, yet chines, along with a marked flare above the waterline aft, are optimised to reduce wetted surface area when the boat is not heeling much. This dramatically improves performance in light airs.
These factors contributed to the Hanse 460 winning the Family Cruiser division of the 2022 European Yacht of the Year awards and the Hanse 510 is borne of exactly the same philosophy. The difference between this boat and the previous Hanse 508 is dramatic and goes well beyond what the modest additional foot of hull length and six inches of maximum beam might suggest.
In particular, volume below decks on the new model looks to be in a different league to the earlier boats, while 22 opening hatches and ports maximise natural light and ventilation. Hanse says more than 100 layout combinations are possible, ranging from an owner’s yacht with a very generous master cabin, plus two large aft cabins, to a 10-berth charter yacht with three heads, and skipper’s accommodation.
The galley can either be U-shaped or longitudinal, there’s even space for a utility room with washer dryer, plus a forward-facing navstation. Other features include a tender garage with space for an inflated 2.7m dinghy.
Sail area is almost 10% greater than that of the 508. However, the new boat is almost two tonnes heavier, so the sail area/displacement ratio comes out at a very similar figure of 20, putting the boat firmly in the medium cruiser category. Nevertheless, the relatively easily driven, yet high stability, hull shape means those looking for a boat that will sail well in lighter conditions and offer reassurance in stronger winds shouldn’t be disappointed.
