FAITH superyacht scale model

Launched as Project Vertigo in 2016, the Feadship, superyacht Faith features flowing lines and sweeping architecture. Her naval architecture came from the drawing boards of Dutch naval architects, De Voogt. Her stylish and spacious interiors penned by the Parisian interior design house, Chahan Interior Design. The four-deck superyacht features an infinity pool, a games deck, a helicopter landing pad and accommodations for 18 guests across nine sumptuous staterooms. In 2018, Faith received the World Superyacht Award for the motor yacht of the year.

This Faith superyacht model is 40" long. It is scheduled to be completed in 2024.

We need only a small commitment deposit to start the process. The remaining balance won't be due until the model is complete. We send you progress photos along the way, and the model must be approved by you before shipping.

The motor yacht model is available to showcase a wide range of flybridge types. It features an enclosed room, a bimini top, or a retractable soft top. A delicately crafted model reflects not only a boat’s physical features but also its spirit. In three dimensions, the motor yacht model uniquely offers users a visually parallel reference. But it is also touchable. Glorious is a Chinese yacht company founded in 2008. Although it seems very young in this competing industry, Glorious is full of innovation. This Creator 68 brings nobility and creation to yacht lovers with traditional material and cutting edge design. The exceptional flexibility of wood implies that it forms and shapes easily. And it means the Creator 68 can adapt to environmental changes, like heat, moisture, and flexes, much easier than others. In this flybridge yacht model, experienced maritime model makers use carefully selected high-quality Southeast Asian teak and oak logs. The model’s wooden superstructure has also been reinforced with epoxy to minimize the efforts needed in maintenance.

Princess F62 Model

Scale: 1:30 | Size: 800mm x 250mm | Production Time: 14 days

Founded in 1965, Princess Yacht is dedicated to developing ever more ingenious ways to ensure every last millimeter of the boat is ergonomically sound. This Princess F62 encapsulates meticulous design ethos and all the benefits of the latest infusion technology. On the flybridge of F62, there is a unique circular forward seating area beside the cockpit that can convert to another sunpad if needed, consistent with its spirit “Designed for socializing”. Yacht model makers use a combination of ABS and light-weighted resin for the iconic deep V hull of Princess Yacht. And with other parts made from a variety of woods and metals. The painting of the F62 model is impeccable, matching the paint pattern exactly. Even including the smallest parts such as rails, stairs, and helm station electronics packages.

Princess F70 Model

The all-new F70 is the flagship of Princess flybridge F-class range, featured with the new Allure Collection. With a spacious 26.58 square meters, the F70 features a water bar and forward seating area adjacent to the helm. For its U-shaped dining area, model makers use a scaled teak table to mimic its original material choice. This meticulous model material choice shows RJ Models attention to detail. The yacht's hardtop is available in matte textured gray ABS plastic, implying its sturdy and stable characteristics. Yacht model makers also hand-craft detailed furniture and upholstery for its interior with different materials.

Princess Y78 Model

The new Y78 combines agile cruising with open plan elegance, featuring the very latest exterior design, interior materials, and finishes in Princess. The flybridge on the Y78 is spectacular and takes full advantage of its 18-foot beam. Its retracted top design helps yacht lovers to enjoy sunlight or views of the night sky without any obstacle. Extended window lines and unique full-height window on the port side allows the natural light to flow into the main deck. Our model makers use 3D printing machine to produce the irregularly shaped windows on the port side and use waterproof resin to attach it to the hull.

Princess Y85 Model

Scale: 1:30 | Size: 900mm x 300mm | Production Time: 15 days

Princess Y85 is a designed in collaboration with world-renowned luxury yacht designer Bernard Olesinksi and Italian iconic styling house designer Pininfarina. This combination makes Princess Y85 becomes the pinnacle of the Motor Yacht class. Its naval style pioneering deep V hull design boasts the yacht outstanding performance, even in stormy seas. Model experts from RJ Models use CNC cutting machines and laser cutting for the tiny components. Besides, the hull and cabin are 3D printed, committed to meticulously duplicating its elaborate and refined design. “Light, space, and guest comfort” are the three key items defined in Y85 by designers. Therefore, our model makers pay more attention to these aspects, using whole pieces of glass for windows to strengthen its unbeatable view.

Marquis Yachts 720 Flybridge

Scale: 1:30 | Size: 750mm x 250mm | Production Time: 14 days

As described in its slogan “Fortune Favors the Bold”, the design of its yacht is full of sharp edges and dashing lines, which increases the difficulty of making the perfect yacht model. Skilled and experienced model makers manage to solve the irregular components by 3d printing and manual secondary grinding; then they use resin and organic glue to assemble each part. For the hardtop, whole-piece of black plastic is adopted with the Marquis logo on its right column; the hull of the model has used a brushed gold metal material, showing its dignity and noble; and the same type of timber plate is used both in bow cockpit and back swim platform. The yacht model is displayed on a piece of black marble, with contrast of gold and black, marble and metal, impressing everyone, even those who just give a glance.

Princess F55 Model

Scale: 1:30 | Size: 600mm x 250mm | Production Time: 14 days

The distinctive design ethos of the Princess Flybridge range flows on the exterior of the Princess 55; its contrasting textures and materials become a balance throughout electronica paneling, teak veneers and contemporary paint finishes. The F55 has both lower helm and flybridge helm, enabling owners to enjoy sailing fun in different weathers. The yacht model uses the same foamed plastic for the sunbathing platform, foredeck seating, and flybridge sofa, indicating authentic consistency. Designers of F55 install LED deck level lighting for night parties, and model makers from RJ Models duplicate the lighting system in this yacht model without any deviation.

Glorious Yacht 55 Model

The Glorious 55 Yacht is designed for family entertainment. Its 55 feet length is suitable for a family to gather around and features a cheerful atmosphere. The designer chooses a rare azure blue for its hull, which merges into the sea and the sky, striving to create a bright and stylish characteristic. Glorious 55 is designed especially for Chinese customers with ample space for family members. RJ Models believes no matter the upholstery or interior accessories should not be neglected and needs faithfully duplicate. Only in this way, the yacht model can show the authentic feeling. The yacht model is made of high-quality ABS and stainless steel, and mounted on a black marble pedestal.

Ferretti 960 luxury charter yacht

Scale: 1:30 | Size: 900mm x 250mm | Production Time: 15 days

With 96 feet of sporty lines, the 960 is the largest planing pleasure boat that Ferretti Yachts has ever built. It is also the flagship of the sheet. The 960 offers best-in-class performance and supreme levels of amenity. Even with a hull length of over 23 meters, it can still maneuver like a motor craft. The Ferretti 960 also features a foldable tender garage, which is unusual for a yacht of this size; its bathing platform is immersible in the water and allows for the launching of the tender in just a matter of minutes. As usual, our model experts pay more attention to this tailor-made system in each yacht. To duplicate its unique tender parking area, we hand-craft a customized foldable garage system . This kind of color system is convenient for customers to distinguish each brand and collection, very organized and clarified. Model experts used 3D modeling and laser cutting to craft each tiny component of the yacht, including electronic packages, gauges and the whole-piece window. The yacht model is mounted on a display base with two silver-grey cylinders. This clever design highlights the yacht model and gives it a natural spotlight effect when it is displayed on a table or in a cabinet.

Carver 56 Voyager Flybridge Boats

The 56 Voyager has a typical two-layer layout. The cockpit is on the top with some sofa and the main living area is on the lower floor which has a 360 degrees unobstructed visual. For these two layers’ windshields, model makers use two different types of plastics, one is frosted translucent black while the other is gloss black. This exact tiny distinction shows RJ Models' superior craftsmanship. Laser-cut thin wood plate is used in foredeck and aft; silver metal strips are assembled at 45 degrees around the deck. Both parts are shaped in line with the hull, and the yacht model just looks like it just through the waves. The model is positioned on the aluminum bar showing a symmetrical aesthetics.

Carver C40 has a fully open cockpit which gives the boat driver a feeling of driving a sports car, except he is galloping on the boundless sea. Because of the irregular curve of the cabin, traditional molds cannot avail to directly manufacture the component, so the architectural model makers use 3d printing technology to make the hull. The fence on the hull also accurately conformed to the trend of the curve. Except for Carver’s classical brown, model experts also make a white one for the exact same yacht, giving the customer more choices when they want to collect one in their home.

Lexus expands ly680 luxury yacht’s flybridge.

At the Japan International Boat Show 2024, Lexus unveiled the 1/20 scale model of its new LY680 Luxury Yacht , an upgrade of the previous LY650 water vehicle . Lexus’ latest model comes with an expanded swimming platform and flybridge to accommodate more guests on deck. The extended flybridge, which measures 1,400mm, now features a spacious lounge area and a dedicated barbecue grill, while the swimming platform has been expanded by 700mm to accommodate additional guests who wish to take a dip in the sea.

When Lexus conceived the idea for its LY680 Luxury Yacht, even before its debut at the Japan International Boat Show 2024 , the design team aimed to create a water vehicle that would feel like a ‘tranquil hideaway at sea.’ They imagined it as a moving space where ‘discerning customers could feel free and at ease.’ The resulting concept was a three-level luxury yacht equipped with living spaces that make the LY680 feel like a deluxe apartment on the sea.

The passengers enter the Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht, and when they descend, they can find a kidney-shaped sofa nestled in one corner. Adjacent to the sofa is a desk with a plush seat, tailored as a workspace at sea for those who still need to hustle. Panoramic windows adorn the space, offering views of the waters and allowing natural light to flood in. The use of dark, varnished wood adds a sense of opulence to the interior, and across from the sofa and desk, a semi-circular bed invites passengers to relax while watching the waves and scenery through slanted windows.

Walking up to the control area, the captain of Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht navigates the water vehicle with ease through the expansive set of windows. The openness of the space is further enhanced by plush seating, two of them reminiscent of cinema seats. Even the wooden floors help brighten up the overall aesthetic. During the Japan International Boat Show 2024, where yacht enthusiasts could view the 1/20 scale model of the LY680, Lexus revealed that the luxury yacht can accommodate up to 15 passengers across three rooms with six beds.

For those interested in specifications, Lexus’ LY680 Luxury Yacht is expected to be equipped with Twin Volvo IPS 1350/1050 engines and have a fuel tank capacity of 4,012 liters and a fresh water tank capacity of 852 liters. Production of the luxury yacht will be carried out by the Horizon Group, based on the Toyota Production System. Lexus has announced that yacht enthusiasts can reserve their water vehicle model through Toyota Marine sales offices in Japan and select dealerships. As of publishing, Lexus aims to deliver the first batch of the LY680 Luxury Yacht in Spring 2026, with international availability pending based on customer demand.

Prioritization Methods and Techniques – Part 2: MoSCoW Method

In my previous article, Prioritization Methods and Techniques - Part 1: Why Prioritize and the Kano Model , I talked about the need to prioritize and the Kano model as a prioritization method. In this second article in the series on prioritization methods and techniques, I will discuss the MoSCoW method.

The MoSCoW method is a highly widespread prioritization method which was popularized by Dynamic Systems Development Method (DSDM). The term MoSCoW has nothing to do with the capital of Russia. It is an acronym derived from the first letter of each of four prioritization categories – Must have, Should have, Could have and Won’t have.[1] The two “O” are added to make the word pronounceable.

Must have: This category contains requirements or features that are absolutely mandatory. Those are fundamental to the system (being a product or a service). If any of them are neglected, the system will certainly not work or will have no value for the customer.

Should have: These features are important, ideally, we should have them for the system to work correctly. If they are not there, a workaround may be possible, but it can be costly or cumbersome. Yet, they are not mandatory and therefore do not have the highest priority. Simply put, they don’t have much impact on delivery success right now, though they must be implemented soon enough (after the “must-haves”).

Could have: These are useful additions (often small-scale improvements) that add tangible value. These are “nice-to-have” requests. In general, they do not take considerable resources, but they are not essential to implement either. Their absence won’t affect almost anything, or at least wouldn’t impact the release negatively.

Won’t have (sometimes also known as “would like to have, but not this time”): These items are not worth the investment (of time, money, energy) and are unlikely to make the cut (at least not in the near future). These requirements are of the lowest importance and can be easily omitted (definitely considered out of scope for the first release) or rescheduled for future releases.

When prioritizing requirements in a project, DSDM recommends no more than 60% effort for “must-haves” requirements and a sensible pool of “could-haves”, usually around 20% effort (see Figure 1 below). Anything that is higher than 60% effort for the “must-haves” poses a risk to the success and predictability of the project, unless the environment and the used technology are well understood, there are minimal external risks/dependencies and the team is experienced and well established. Note that we are talking about a balance based on estimated effort of requirements (i.e. the expected time it takes to implement the prioritized features) and not total number of requirements. When calculating effort for a specific timeframe (e.g. first release), “won’t haves” are excluded, as they are considered out of scope for this timeframe.[2]

Practical example

Let’s take a simple practical example. How can you categorize the features required to manufacture a child’s bicycle?

Must have: two wheels ; a frame

Should have: brakes for safe stopping; pedals; ability to adjust the saddle to accommodate growth; safety cover for the chain; stabilizers or the ability to fit them when needed (the last two features can also be classified as “could-haves” depending how essential they are for the child/parents)

Could have: bell or horn to alert others in proximity; attractive color of the bike; front suspension; Presta valves for inflating tires

Won’t have: valve caps to cover the tires valve; Bluetooth bike speaker

Even though it may seem strange not to have the pedals and the brakes in the “must have” category, in reality they are not mandatory for a child’s bike. By definition a bike is two-wheeled transportation device, so it must certainly have two wheels and a frame to link the wheels together, but everything else is subject to discussion and negotiation. For example, small kids can learn to ride a bike by simply using their feet, so no pedals and brakes are really needed. This simple example also shows that there is often a disconnect between expectations and requirements. People often have high level of expectations, but high expectations are different from must-have requirements which are mandatory and non-negotiable.

Let’s now look at the advantages and disadvantages of the MoSCoW method.

Pros of MoSCoW

• Simplicity. The MoSCoW method is one of the simplest prioritization techniques. It does not require searching for detailed data or making complicated calculations. So, it is easy to master and use because it is based on simple principles. Using this prioritization scheme in a product management context promotes mutual understanding between product people (product managers and product owners) and stakeholders. It is also a great method to resolve conflicts and to bring stakeholders to consensus. Prioritizing work using MoSCoW is fast and transparent.
• Agility for flexible scheduling and implementation. Since this prioritization method has no strict time limits for the implementation, except for the “must-have” category (items there should always go first and be implemented as soon as possible), it allows for flexible implementation timeframes per feature. Therefore, a team can easily adjust feature deliveries or releases on favorable terms based on agreement with customers/stakeholders.

Cons of MoSCoW

The MoSCoW technique is very simple, but such simplicity comes with some pitfalls.

• The technique lacks a clear consistency of implementation and lacks specific planning per feature. Even though priorities can be easily and quickly set, the MoSCoW method prioritizes the backlog items in four categories (in a similar fashion to the Kano model, covered in my previous article, which also prioritizes features in different categories), so it does not introduce any sequencing of features/backlog items and lacks specific planning. This makes it quite challenging for product people to decide on the exact priority of a feature compared to another one within the same category. At the end of the day, this drawback might put the entire release at risk.
• MoSCoW classification rules can be subjective and this creates imbalance between the absolutely required (must have or mandatory) and slightly desirable. Often, the blurred lines between categories make it hard to decide in which category a feature should go into, specifically when we talk about “must-have” and “should-have” lists. But it is sometimes also the case between “should-haves” and could-haves”. This happens due to the subjectivity of requirements. Therefore, features or stories allocated to the different categories should be approached with great thought and care and the chosen categorization should be agreed with (or well explained to) all stakeholders.

When to use the MoSCoW method

The MoSCoW method is probably the simplest and most widespread prioritization scheme for new product development, and more specifically for small products. But as we saw above, this technique also has its disadvantages and is not always effective. For instance, if you have a complicated backlog with many time-sensitive releases, consider choosing other prioritization method or complementing MoSCoW with another more accurate or comprehensive technique.

On the other hand, it is quite reasonable to use MoSCoW when prioritizing work for small (and not too complex) products, which does not have many technical limitations. The MoSCoW requirements help product people and teams take a strategic, orderly approach to prioritization. This method is great for avoiding wasted time, arguments and misdirection.
