Cruising has never been more enjoyable than when chartering the 203-foot (61.8m) luxury superyacht RoMa . One of the charter fleet’s most sought-after luxury yachts, RoMa offers a full suite of luxury amenities that will delight all guests who step aboard. Built in 2010 by the Italian craftsmen of Viareggio Superyachts; RoMa was refitted in 2019, ensuring her pristine condition. She features wide decks and an all-access elevator to ensure access. Early risers who cruise aboard RoMa may want to catch the first of many Mediterranean sunrises with a cup of coffee while lounging on the main deck aft. Fitness-minded folk may choose to start the day in the fully equipped gym. Later in the morning the yacht’s five-star chef will prepare a delectable breakfast for guests to enjoy at the bridge deck aft alfresco dining table.

Once breakfast is finished, it’s time to play. RoMa is outfitted with an impressive tender and toy inventory. She features a 55-foot (16.8m) Anvera chase boat fitted and a 23-foot (7.2m) Castoldi Jet tender. She also offers SeaDoos, WaveRunners, a Jetsurf, Seabobs, a flyboard, standup paddleboards, windsurfing gear, inflatable hoys, towable toys, a sundeck-to-sea waterslide, a water trampoline and an inflatable jellyfish protection pool, among other toys. Guests are sure to work up an appetite spending the morning splashing about in the sea. Lunch can be served alfresco on the bridge deck aft or guests may choose to tender ashore to enjoy a meal and explore in the afternoon. Then it’s time to head for the sundeck to lounge on the sunpads or take a dip in the large pool, which doubles as a lap pool if guests are so inclined, and sip delicious cocktails concocted by the crew at the sundeck bar.

As evening approaches, guests can dress for a formal dinner. First, canapes and cocktails can be served in the spacious, sumptuous main salon before guests are seated at the beautiful round table found forward on the same deck. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a theme meal alfresco on the bridge deck. After dining on delicious fresh Mediterranean seafood, guests can head for the skylounge to enjoy after-dinner drinks and play games, grab some popcorn and head for the on-board movie theater or take a tender ashore to enjoy the local culture and nightlife.

A day in the life aboard RoMa is whatever you make it. There are endless choices to be had. The superyacht welcomes 12 guests in six lavish staterooms, five of which are located on the main deck, including the spacious and elegant master with king-size bed and large panoramic windows. One stateroom is located below deck and offers added privacy and the sixth stateroom can be found on the upper deck. The yacht’s beautifully relaxing interior style is resplendently modern with nautical touches inspired by the sea.

Accommodation & Deck Areas

RoMa can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests in 6 luxurious, contemporary-styled staterooms, including a full-beam Master Suite, one VIP stateroom, three Double and a Twin. All of her staterooms are of considerable size and offer plenty of living volume. On the main deck forward, the floor plan raises above and a staircase leads you to the beautifully arranged full-beam Master Suite featuring an ample en-suite bathroom as well as a dressing room. Another three guest staterooms, fitted with queen size beds, are on the same deck right before the staircase leading to the Master suite. Each of the staterooms onboard is swathed in champagne and cream tones with an alternate colour theme repeated in the detailing. A fifth guest stateroom, fitted with a queen-size bed, is located on the upper deck, while the sixth stateroom, featuring twin beds, is situated on the lower deck for those who may enjoy a little more privacy. Her huge main salon is a combination of versatile seating areas, designed to entertain and relax. The backlit onyx bar, dining and coffee tables are real head-turners! Take the elevator to lift you to the full-beam upper deck, beautifully decorated in soft tones and coral accents, where you will find big, comfortable seating areas, a game table, an office desk as well as a large exterior dining table and further comfortable seating and coffee tables. One floor above is the breathtaking sky deck, home to the pool, the al-fresco bar, the gym, more sun lounges, and another dining table. A further and very popular feature amongst the younger guests onboard is the cinema which features clever lighting details, imitating the bioluminescence of the sea.

Performance

This custom full displacement yacht is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system which reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother more enjoyable cruising experience. She features ‘at anchor stabilisers’ which work at zero speed to increase onboard comfort at anchor and on rough waters. With a cruising speed of 12 knots, a maximum speed of 17 knots and a range of 6,000nm from her 158,000-litre fuel tanks, she is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.

Her multiple and vast outdoor areas offer a huge variety of sun loungers, sun pads, a generous pool equipped with counter-current jets, and an al-fresco bar, perfectly situated next to the pool. As not otherwise to be expected, in terms of entertainment, RoMa is truly unrivalled. Her infinite array of water toys, including a brand new 16.9m chase boat, a brand new 27m water slide and a private beach club, will guarantee an unforgettable charter experience. She is the first of her kind yacht, certified as PADI Superyacht Scuba Dive Boat and is also Scuba Safety certified, which means that guests can complete scuba diving courses on board and obtain their PADI licenses just as they would if they attended an ashore PADI school. And kids can learn to dive as well! But not only can you obtain a diving license, provided local requirements are met, you can also obtain an RYA Personal Water Craft license, which will enable you to drive RoMa ‘s multiple toys that require such a license.

Description.

For the outdoor lovers RoMa offers a spacious sun deck complete with numerous chaise-longues, vast adjustable sun pads, and a generous pool with jets capable of creating a strong current for the ultimate workout. An al-fresco bar is situated just aft of the pool.

An air conditioned superbly equipped gym with an expansive view is just one of the amenities to enjoy on this prestigious super-yacht.

A full beam sky lounge is nestled in the same familiar soft cream tones as the salon and guest staterooms; strategically placed immense chairs and settee, a game table and desk round out this spectacular room. 

An ample rectangular aft deck dining table provided for alfresco dining at its best. It can be extended to comfortably sit up to 16 guests.

The oversized main salon comprises versatile seating areas that are especially designed with entertaining or relaxing in mind. An outstanding feature on this deck are the backlit onyx bar, dining and coffee tables. The dining area is just forward of the salon and showcases the circular dining table that will comfortably seat 12 guests.

Forward on the desirable main deck, the floor-plan rises above a staircase leading to the voluminous master suite. The Master suite, being on the same deck although on a higher location warrants real intimacy for its occupants. It exudes an understated elegance and features a king size bed. Its panoramic windows allow natural light to pour into the suite filling every corner of it. The master suite’s regal bathroom is fitted with a bathtub, shower, his & hers hand wash basins and wc. An enviable dressing room complements this fabulous master suite.

One of RoMa’s most impressive features, very popular with the younger guests, is an on-board cinema, the walls of which are adorned with minuscule fiber optic lights imitating the fascinating bioluminescence of the sea.

In terms of entertainment, RoMa is unsurpassed in luxury amenities and water-toys for an unforgettable charter experience. Master Suite: On the desirable Main Deck the entire forward area of the yacht is dedicated to the voluminous Master Suite along with three additional Guest Staterooms. The Master Suite exudes an understated elegance and features a King size bed as well as a pullout sofa for additional flexibility. Panoramic views, a working desk, and a private dressing area compliment this full beam stateroom. Decorated with neutral shades, subtle lighting is used to create a light and airy ambiance. It features a spacious en-suite with a steam/shower room built in beautiful Estremos marble ensuring the ultimate luxury charter experience. Chartering RoMa superyacht is the secret to embrace the seas and forge everlasting memories of a fantastically unique yachting experience!

Designed by the renowned Norwegian architect Espen Oeino, stunning RoMa was launched by Viareggio Superyachts in 2010. Throughout her luxurious living spaces, a colour palette of crisp whites contrasted against warm splashes of deep reds, delicate gold’s and hints of green create a feeling of contemporary elegance designed by Katharina Raczek from Newcruise who decided to include subtle references to the sea embracing RoMa yacht. That is why the carpet in the main salon simulates the sand on the sea-bottom, why the white Art Deco 3D laser cut paneling on the main staircase simulates the Nautilus sea shells, why the side panels in the upper salon simulate reef coral or why the carpeting in the aisles of the main salon seems to hide tiny sea shells. The sea is essential to the Owners so they decorated RoMa to serve as an almost invisible tribute to it.

RoMa is one of the few super-yachts fitted with a dynamic positioning system (DPS). This allows her to stop engines end stay put without having to use the anchor. This feature comes incredibly handy now that more and more areas are banning the use of anchors to protect the sea bottom. Another peculiarity of the DPS is that it allows the captain to position the yacht as per the guests’ wishes regardless of where the sun is. If they want more sunshine, RoMa will turn as needed; if they want more shade in the exterior dining areas which aren’t covered by the biminis and sunbrellas, RoMa will turn on her axis to the ideal position. Needless to say that her zero-speed stabilizers under-way and at anchor play and important factor in this and at the same time warrant that the yacht roles as little as absolutely possible.

Sun Deck: For the outdoor lovers RoMa yacht offers a spacious sun deck complete with numerous chaise-longues, vast adjustable sun pads, and a generous pool with jets capable of creating a strong current for the ultimate workout. An al-fresco bar is situated just aft of the pool. An air conditioned superbly equipped gym with an expansive view is just one of the amenities to enjoy on this prestigious super-yacht.

Upper Deck: A full beam sky lounge with coral accented pillows, is nestled in the same familiar soft cream tones as the salon and guest staterooms; strategically placed immense chairs and settee, game table and desk round out this spectacular room. The wall panels, made from papaya tree bark, feature immaculate joinery. An ample rectangular aft deck dining table provided for alfresco dining at its best. It can be extended to comfortably sit up to 16 guests. Distinctly absent onboard RoMa yacht is the din of competing colors and patterns. Guests are greeted with a serene interior design that appears effortlessly chic.

Main Salon: The oversized main salon is comprised of versatile seating areas that are especially designed with entertaining or relaxing in mind. An outstanding feature on this deck are the backlit onyx bar, dining and coffee tables. The dining area is just forward of the salon and showcases the circular dining table that will comfortably seat 12 guests in style, while savory gourmet meals are prepared to order.

Master Suite: Forward on the desirable main deck, the floor-plan raises above a staircase leading to the voluminous master suite. Another three guest cabins are also located on this same deck albeit on the same floor-plan as the salon. The Master suite, being on the same deck although on a higher location warrants real intimacy for its occupants. It exudes an understate elegance and features a king size bed as well as a pullout sofa for added flexibility. Its panoramic windows allow natural light to pour into the suite filing every corner of it. The master suite’s regal bathroom is fitted with a bathtub, shower, his & hers hand wash basins and wc. An enviable dressing room complements this fabulous master suite.

Guests’ staterooms: Two VIPs and a double guest stateroom are located on the main deck level of Roma superyacht and feature en-suite bathrooms as well as a writing desk and separate seating areas. Each of the guest staterooms is swathed in champagne and cream tones with an alternate color theme repeated in the detailing. A fifth guest stateroom is located on the upper deck, aft of the helm station, while the sixth stateroom, a convertible, is situated on the lower deck for those who may enjoy a little more privacy.

Other outstanding features: One of RoMa’s most impressive features, very popular with the younger guests, is an on-board cinema, the walls of which are adorned with minuscule fibre optic lights imitating the fascinating bioluminescence of the sea, produced by microscopic algae.

RoMa yacht is child-friendly with a genuinely child-friendly crew. She's also wheelchair friendly thanks to the width of all aisles and doors with the added plus of the elevator servicing four decks (lower deck to upper deck. The elevator does not get to the sundeck, but the crew is trained to help guests with mobility issues get to the sundeck regardless how serious the issues are. on RoMa no one is left behind!).

In terms of entertainment, RoMa is unsurpassed in luxury amenities and water-toys for an unforgettable charter experience. RoMa is the first yacht of her kind certified as PADI Superyacht Dive Boat and is also Yacht Scuba Safety certified. This means that guests can complete PADI dive courses on board and obtain a proper scuba diving license which they can use to dive wherever else they go in the whole wide world. Licenses obtained on board other yachts are only valid for the duration of the charter. The Yacht Scuba Safety Certificate warrants that the scuba diving courses imparted on board follow the highest safety standards and that RoMa’s dive masters and dive instructors have followed specific courses to warrant that guests diving with them will be supervised by a scuba-diving professional. But there is more than just scuba diving! RoMa is also an approved RYA Personal Water Craft (PWC) School; guests who don’t hold a license to drive a jet sky but would love to experience how fun it is only need to follow a short course on board to obtain a license which enables users to drive the RoMa’s PWC toys.

With a licensed masseuse/beautician on board, guests can enjoy the benefits of a luxury spa at sea. But that isn’t all: for those wishing to exercise mind & body simultaneously RoMa offers top quality yoga mats and yoga blocks. Furthermore,. Captain Janusz always tries to find a moment -even if it is just five minutes- to meditate and increase his mindfulness. If any of the guests wants to discover the benefits of mindfulness and meditation, the Captain will be only too happy to share his knowledge on these subjects.

Motor Yacht

Roma is a 61.80m motor yacht, custom built in 2010 by Italian shipyard Viareggio SuperYachts. This yacht’s sophisticated exterior design and engineering are the work of Espen Oeino. Her contemporary interior was designed by Newcruise.

Roma represents the extraordinary second chapter in the history of VSY and rightly constitutes a determining factor. While maintaining all the technical elements which normally feature in VSY yachts, the very best components available on the world-wide market today have been selected - namely: an efficient top-of-the-range electronic infrastructure for ship automation and governance, a legendary dynamic positioning system and a myriad of environmentally friendly equipment enabling them to receive the ABS Class R2 classification. The General Plan of this yacht pays special attention not only to the Owner’s requirements but also to those of three VIP cabins situated on the upper deck - all of which have sweeping windows giving breathtaking views of the surrounding seascape which all sea-farers feel but do not always have the pleasure of seeing to such an extent. The internal design by Newcruise Yacht Project & Design naturally reflects the Owner’s personality: elegant simplicity in every detail and a notable lack of superfluous flamboyance. Roma has been designed to comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
