What are the vegetarian options on the lunch cruise?
Is the moonlight cruise a decent experience? I've been on a similar "moonlight cruise" in Pittsburgh but instead of romantic and enjoyable it was loud, overloaded with drunks, and sweaty.
I don't think they have a "moonlight cruise" but they do have a sunset cruise that is very nice

Husband and I did the dinner cruise for our birthday weekend getaway. Our dinner cruise started at 7pm but we got in line about 5:45pm which as a good thing because the line got super long and it was extra hot!! As we get our tickets scanned they tell you which deck you are on then you stop and take a picture with their photographer. We were on the second deck they have a live band playing music and your server is coming around taking your drink order. The mixed drink were over priced...you get a better deals on a Carnival Cruise. I will stick with the drinks that were included (tea, lemonade, water). Everyone is aboard and the captain comes on over the PA System and nobody understood what he said. One of the members of the band explained what he was trying to say lol. The buffet opens at 7pm closes at 8pm so that leaves you with a hour to enjoy the music or the outside deck. They called a table at a time to prepare your plate some of the items were (rolls, salad, fruit, steamed (mushy) veggies, squash casserole, baked fish, shrimp and grits, baked chicken (dry) with rice and prime rib) I'm sure I forgot something. Overall, the food was ok. Towards the end the dessert table was open but I didn't eat any. Remember those pictures they took well they wanted almost $60 umm no thank you!! We finished our meal went outside on the deck to enjoy the sunset and the nice breeze from the lake. The water was very relaxing.
This was a two-hour dinner cruise with a church group. Boarding started at 6 PM with the cruise beginning at 7 PM and ending at 9 PM. Once aboard the "Georgia Queen," we were assigned several reserved tables on level one of the three level cruise boat. Exploration of the "Queen" revealed that each level had it own buffet line, bar and dance area. The period before the cruise started was a great time to catch up with friends. Drinks were available and live entertainment was provided by "Piano Mike." He played requested songs and also served as a disc jockey during the cruise. Once the cruise started, a buffet style dinner was served. Our menu included salad, butternut squash, potatoes, baked chicken and fish, shrimp and grits, a carving station with prime rib, and several other menu items. All of the food items I tasted were delicious. The shrimp and grits seemed to be the most sought after item, as several people from our group and others made repeated trips to the buffet just for this entrée. After dinner, the cruise offered a wonderful opportunity to step outside and view the sights of Savannah from a unique perspective. More dancing and socializing with dessert being served was next on the menu. Our dessert choices for the evening were chocolate cake or chocolate cheesecake. The cruise ended at 9 PM with our arrival back in Savannah. The excellent service, food, and cruise experience was wonderful, and I would highly recommend this venue for both Savannah natives and visitors.
The boat is a little run down. The speaker was all over the place, he had some good history knowledge, but talked more like what he googled or heard. We were lucky to hear cannon go off and see dolphins swimming. We only got the boat tour because she threw in a second day of trolley service for free. Now if you want to get an hour and half sit down rest, then I would say it's good. They do have $$ bars with drinks and snack fried foods. First level you can purchase the sit down lunch, we did not. I wouldn't go again, but it's one of those one time experiences or if I would have known then buying tickets what I know now after the tour, We wouldn't have gone.
Don't waste your money on the dinner part of the cruise. We attended a rehearsal dinner for a wedding on the cruise. There were about 30 people in the group. We sat in a private room all together with just one server taking care of everyone. They sat you down and pushed the over priced drinks at you fast. Also the room was super hot. The dinner is a buffet but no one gave us instructions. We saw people eating in the main area so me and my wife went to get food. We told others in our party to get food but the staff told them it was not there turn. So we were eating but no one else in the party was. No one told us how the buffet worked. Also the party was the last to eat. Not right when this large group came and spent so much money. The food was nasty. Nothing better than frozen TV dinners. These places think if they include a meat craving station it will justifly the price tag...$70 I don't think so. None of the food was labeled so you did not know what you were eating. The cruise was ok if you like to float down the equivalent to a parking lot for boats and factories. If you like river boat cruises and want to see the port of Savannah take the cruise if you want to do just about anything else...do that instead.

This has to be the coolest thing ever. Visited labor day weekend and being I did a lot of walking I wasn't able to board till the 7 pm sunset ride. It was well worth it. I was on the top desk with a dj and bar in full affect. The views you see from this vessel are just beautiful. Really makes you appreciate being on the water if you're land locked.
Absolutely don't recommend unless you're gone to enjoy a dirty boat and a playground at recess experience with running and screaming kids who's parents are too busy watching their cellphones to watch their kids. It was so loud we couldn't hear anything from the narrator of the tour and the crew wouldn't do anything about it. Who drags their kids on a boat ride and doesn't once look outside? Oh, the bathrooms were a mess as well, really gross. Don't waste your time or money.
I had a great dinner and ride. I must of dropped my wallet and I got a call the next day from the ticket office saying they had it. Everything was still intact. I appreciate their honesty and glad to get it back.
A man talked the entire time without pause about the confederacy. He said the word "plantation" casually countless times, often to mention how horrible he felt it was that they were destroyed. He talked about how heroic the confederacy in savannah was when they were defeated. No mention or acknowledgement of the people who were enslaved on those plantations, or the people that lived before on the land before it was colonized. His voice boomed over every loudspeaker so there was no getting away from it. He also described violent battle scenes in great detail. There were no peaceful moments without the man's constant chatter, no stretches of silence to enjoy the scenery. It was a painful and slow hour and a half.
We did the Brunch cruise on Sunday, March 29th and had a perfect day! The reservation process was flawless, boarding was orderly and quick, and the wait staff was attentive and gracious, especially our waitress, Emnai. My wife and I had the brunch and we have to tell you that the food was first rate! Of special note was Chef Jamie Carver's excellent southern fried chicken. We both admit that this was the best tasting chicken we have ever had! The trip and meal were southern hospitality at it's finest. We can't wait to come back.
We visiting in April 2019 and did the The Savannah Riverboat Cruise as part of a combo with the Savannah Old Town Trolley tour it was excellent as well, again we had a funny tour guide. We hadn't originally paid for the food option but once we saw the selection we asked if we could add it on and the staff happily obliged. I'm so glad they did because this was our best meal on the trip! I'm talking about real southern cooking here!!! It was a great way to see Savannah and we even saw a dolphin swimming by one of the freight ships and when we passed by Old Fort Jackson they shot off the canon!

Compliance status
Screen-reader and keyboard navigation.
- Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all of the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. It will also extract texts that are embedded within the image, using an OCR (optical character recognition) technology. To turn on screen-reader adjustments at any time, users need only to press the Alt+1 keyboard combination. Screen-reader users also get automatic announcements to turn the Screen-reader mode on as soon as they enter the website. These adjustments are compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.
- Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside of it.Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Disability profiles supported in our website
- Epilepsy Safe Mode: this profile enables people with epilepsy to use the website safely by eliminating the risk of seizures that result from flashing or blinking animations and risky color combinations.
- Visually Impaired Mode: this mode adjusts the website for the convenience of users with visual impairments such as Degrading Eyesight, Tunnel Vision, Cataract, Glaucoma, and others.
- Cognitive Disability Mode: this mode provides different assistive options to help users with cognitive impairments such as Dyslexia, Autism, CVA, and others, to focus on the essential elements of the website more easily.
- ADHD Friendly Mode: this mode helps users with ADHD and Neurodevelopmental disorders to read, browse, and focus on the main website elements more easily while significantly reducing distractions.
- Blindness Mode: this mode configures the website to be compatible with screen-readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack. A screen-reader is software for blind users that is installed on a computer and smartphone, and websites must be compatible with it.
- Keyboard Navigation Profile (Motor-Impaired): this profile enables motor-impaired persons to operate the website using the keyboard Tab, Shift+Tab, and the Enter keys. Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
Additional UI, design, and readability adjustments
- Font adjustments – users, can increase and decrease its size, change its family (type), adjust the spacing, alignment, line height, and more.
- Color adjustments – users can select various color contrast profiles such as light, dark, inverted, and monochrome. Additionally, users can swap color schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds, with over 7 different coloring options.
- Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs, and CSS flashing transitions.
- Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize important elements such as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered elements only.
- Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the entire website instantly.
- Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine that is linked to Wikipedia and Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of phrases, initials, slang, and others.
- Additional functions – we provide users the option to change cursor color and size, use a printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.
