The interior layout of the Sweden Yachts 42 is both practical and spacious. The standard layout provides three double berths along with a comfortable dining area, L-shaped galley, navigation table and two shower rooms. At Sweden Yachts we pride ourselves on being adaptable to our customer’s bespoke requirements, any layout can be altered to suit the customer.

The deck has been kept as clear as possible without compromising any sailing or safety components.

The Exceptional Sweden Yachts 42, FREYA is for sale

Berthon’s sailing yacht broker Alan McIlroy has openly professed his enduring admiration for Sweden Yachts, citing the exceptional qualities of the Sweden Yachts 42 and her larger counterpart the 45. They are without question superb yachts, combining astonishing good looks with superior build (both structure and finish) and offering sparkling yet easily managed performance.

History of Sweden Yachts 42, FREYA

FREYA is an obviously well-loved and well looked after example which we know well, having sold her to both her current and previous owners.

FREYA enjoyed a thoroughly comprehensive pit stop at Berthon’s big blue shed back in 2017, including sails, rigging systems and electronics. 2019 saw a fresh set of upholstery to saloon and starboard side cabin together with some cushions in the owner’s cabin.

Over the past year, to ease the convenience of handling, her current owner has installed a new Selden mast for in-mast reefing, accompanied by a brand-new mainsail from Sanders Sails. Pretty much every aspect of the yacht has been breathed upon as evidenced in her sales particulars.

Exploring the Accommodation & Deck Equipment of Sweden Yachts 42, FREYA

The Sweden Yachts 42 remains timeless yet contemporary, featuring a sleek flush deck, relatively low freeboard, and a plumb bow. With balanced rudder, fin keel and powerful rigging she is light on the helm, responsive and very much a sailor’s yacht.

Equipped with a self-tacking headsail and a streamlined arrangement of lines leading to electric winches, the sail plan is effortlessly manageable by a small crew or single handed.

For a yacht in her class, the deck stowage is more than ample, with a full depth sail locker on the bow and two large lazerattes aft on the quarters.

Below decks, FREYA oozes quality, featuring a wonderful layout and finely crafted satin varnished cabinetry.

She boasts three good double cabins, two heads one with a separate shower stall forward, a large saloon, forward facing navigation area with some quite nice chart stowage and last but not least a very well appointed, seagoing galley.

Teak and Cherry wood accents complete the polished look of the interior and storage spaces are found throughout the salon. The television area is completely tucked away with storage drawers beneath for any entertainment components needed and all furnishings throughout the space offer convenient and comfortable areas to enjoy living on the water.

Where to Sleep

When the sun has set and it is time to bed down for the night, the Sweden Yacht 42 offers three full staterooms to choose from. The master stateroom features storage space and a large queen size bed. It also houses the first of two full heads on board at the bow area of the yacht. The full toilet, sink, and shower with your choice of finishes complete the head area. The other two staterooms are at the other end of the interior cabin to offer a bit more privacy for all. They are side by side units and although smaller than the main stateroom, offer the same creature comforts. The main head area is a mirror image of the master, so there is plenty of space for everyone to stretch out and truly live while on the water.

The deck of the Sweden Yacht 42 is comprised of teak giving it the classic look of a traditional sail boat. The deck features a forward facing outdoor shower as well as a table with ample seating for all guests. The space is able to be customized to what is needed and therefore it can truly be the space you want for how you want to travel.
