SILVER ANGEL Yacht – Lavish $40 M Superyacht

The SILVER ANGEL yacht is a 64.5m superyacht launched in 2009 by Italian shipyard Benetti and delivered later that same year. 

She is the 16th largest yacht built by Benetti and the 377th largest yacht in the world.

SILVER ANGEL Yacht Interior

The SILVER ANGEL yacht interior was styled by British studio Argent Design. 

This magnificent yacht has an Art Deco style that extends to her three aft decks in a more tropical variant. 

As a tribute to her name, she features a themed-silver interior with a high gloss dark oak paneling, white Onyx furniture, and silver leaf. 

Argent Design decided to decorate the vessel with custom-made pieces of furniture and fixtures and Lalique inserts. 

She was designed to accommodate up 12 guests in seven suites, as well as 19 crew members, including the captain on board. 

With one master suite, one VIP cabin, three double cabins, and two twin cabins, the yacht can accommodate guests in ten beds in total, including one king, four queen, and four singles. 

To make the charter vacation even more entertaining, she is equipped with a great variety of amenities, like a jacuzzi, sundaes, sun deck, swimming pool, gym, deck jacuzzi, beach club, air-conditioning, and WIFI. 

The swimming pool is located on the sun deck and is covered with mosaic-tiled.

As for her toys, she has diving equipment, jet skis, water skis, sea bobs, wakeboards, kayaks, doughnuts, fishing equipment, an inflatable tower and trampoline, a floating pool, and a kite surfer. 

SILVER ANGEL Yacht Exterior

The SILVER ANGEL yacht exterior was designed by Stefano Natucci and was built in steel hull and aluminum superstructure. 

She has an ultra-contemporary and impeccable white exterior design, as well as zero-speed stabilizers to reduce the roll motion effect. 

This superyacht includes a Novurania fully customised Semi-Rigid Tender. 

SILVER ANGEL Yacht Specifications

The SILVER ANGEL yacht has a 12.0m beam, a 3.2m draft, and a gross tonnage of 1,407. 

Powered by twin Caterpillar engines (2,260HP), she cruises at 15.0 knots but can reach a top speed of 16.0 knots. She carries 170,00 liters of fuel and 45,000 liters of water on board. 

The yacht includes a PADI Certified Training Center and a masseuse to help guests relax. 

Her summer cruising locations are France, Italy, Monaco, Malta, Corsica, Ibiza, Sardinia, The Balearics, Amalfi Coast, and French Riviera.

Her weekly rate during this season goes from 425,000 to 450,000 EUR plus expenses. 

From October to April, she cruises in the Maldives, Seychelles, and the Caribbean Sea with a starting rate of $425,000 per week. 

The SILVER ANGEL yacht is not currently for sale, but it has a price of $40 million and an annual running cost of $4 million.

Thanks to her wide beam, there is plenty of room for her spectacular Art Deco design to excel. As you enter the main saloon you will find a world of indulgence and extravagance. Glossy black oak is set against white marble, with decorative mirroring adding to the incredible spaciousness. Acclimatise with your imperial new surroundings as you sink into the plush settees that fill the saloon.

Step out onto one of the three aft decks where the Art Deco style continues, but in a tropical variant. With lots of settees and a variety of al fresco dining possibilities, you could spend each day in a different area. Start your day with a workout in the air-conditioned gym on the main deck, or a yoga session on the foredeck. The crew includes a masseuse so you can soothe away all the tensions of modern life.

On to the sun deck the mosaic-tiled plunge pool forward has a counter-current for those looking for further activity. The entire raised jacuzzi area surrounding it is decorated with travertine marble partially covered by large sun pads, while sweeping travertine steps lead down to a large travertine bar. Following a morning of sun spent here, step inside to the indoor/outdoor dining area and enjoy a BBQ lunch.

After lunch, spend the afternoon discovering SILVER ANGEL’s armada of watertoys, including jetskis and scuba diving equipment. Back onboard, relax in the steam room before a refreshing sundowner. Come dinner time, there are several seating and al fresco dining areas on offer, with a particularly grand dining table on the aft of the main deck. Enjoy a gastronomic extravaganza at any of them before retiring to one of her seven well-appointed cabins.

There are other superyachts that have adopted a monochrome colour scheme, but few have been as bold and beautiful as SILVER ANGEL. Using black oak, white onyx, silver leaf, fabrics and Lalique glass this is a very classy, dramatic and lavish yacht. The finish is exquisite, light reflects endlessly from mirrors, polished stone and lacquer- the main saloon seems to glow with its own silvery moonlight. But this yacht is not just about style, gorgeous though she undoubtedly is, she is also an excellent charter yacht for some very pragmatic reasons. Her sun deck is superb – the stone-edged Jacuzzi’s mosaic tiles describe a silver angel motif, and there is a lovely bar and seating area. As with the other outdoor spaces, the furnishings take their lead from the inside – these are smart, luxurious pieces of furniture that bring the inside out on deck. This blurring of the distinction between in and out is seen on the upper aft deck dining area where a glass table (just like the one inside the main saloon) sits beneath a fantastically decorated ceiling, with side glass windows that can be deployed if needed. As you might expect for a Benetti of this size SILVER ANGEL also has excellent facilities; she has a good swim platform beach club, complete with massage room. She also has a striking monochrome gym, and the athletic will also enjoy her watertoys including jetskis, SeaBobs and a water slide. As a PADI training centre, you could learn to dive no matter your shape or size - she carries 40 wet suits and 16 scuba kits! SILVER ANGEL is that perfect all-rounder – you can have all the fun you want on the beach or water, then return to her glamorous interiors to enjoy a sophisticated evening of gourmet food and fine wines.

Interior Design & Engineering

With naval architecture by Benetti, the original SILVER ANGEL yacht owner who commissioned the build was very experienced and it shows. The 1400GT displacement yacht has one of the highest volumes in her class thanks to her 12m-wide beam, and she’s been designed with long-range cruising in mind, with a pair of Caterpillar diesel engines providing a range of 5,000nm at a speed of 12 knots.

An Art Deco theme runs throughout the interiors and exteriors of SILVER ANGEL, with glossy black oak panelling complemented by Onyx and white furnishings and lots of mirrors, while white marble and silver leaf add some glamour and sparkle.

SILVER ANGEL yacht can accommodate 12 guests across 7 cabins, including a full-beam Owner’s suite on the main deck forward. The rest of the guest accommodation is spread across a further four doubles, including a VIP cabin on the upper deck, and two twin cabins on the lower deck.

Motor yacht SILVER ANGEL is a 64.5-meter heavy displacement long-range oceangoing superyacht, designed specifically for extensive world cruising. The superyacht boasts an interior featuring high gloss dark oak paneling and built-in furniture which is complemented by white Onyx, silver leaf and carved mirrored units. Custom-built Lalique inserts with subtle backlighting have been used throughout guest areas, creating a unique atmosphere. All loose furniture fixtures and fittings have also been fully customized to one-off ARGENT designs of exceptionally high quality for superyacht SILVER ANGEL.

5 of Moscow's most BEAUTIFUL districts

1.  Sokolniki

By 9 a.m., the main square of Sokolniki district in the northeast of Moscow begins to fill up with dog-walkers and cyclists. The mobile coffee shops and hot dog outlets are not open yet; the only sounds are the rustling of the autumn leaves and gurgling of the main fountain, around which sleepy guards walk.

“But on the weekend, there are crowds of people here, as if the whole of Moscow descends on it,” says Raisa Bazarova, a resident of Sokolniki. She says that she literally “married” Sokolniki 21 years ago, in 1999, when she moved from the central Arbat district to live with her new husband.

It took three years for her to feel at home, finally making friends with the neighbors. Now, Raisa considers it the most beautiful area of ​​Moscow and is fond of its low-rise skyline and architectural monuments.

“As soon as you step out of the subway, you’re in Sokolniki, and the first thing that catches the eye is the pre-revolutionary watchtower [built in 1884]. It saw the old wooden Moscow and has been preserved in all its splendor,” says Bazarova.

Raisa also advises foreigners to visit Sokolniki Park, one of the oldest in Moscow, founded in 1878, with fountains, ponds, a swimming pool, an amusement park and its own rose garden. Sokolniki was adored by Peter the Great and Alexander I and it was here that they often held feasts. For Bazarova, the lush greenery makes it the “lungs” of the district.

Another must-see, according to Bazarova, is the Roman Viktyuk Theater — if nothing else, then to see one of Moscow’s main architectural gems, designed and built in the Constructivist style that prevailed in the city in the 1920s. Moreover, Russian-speaking theater lovers might want to catch a performance of ‘The Maids’ by French playwright Jean Genet. 

2. Levoberezhny

Galina Yakunina, director of a sports club in Moscow’s north for nine years, walks with unfeigned pleasure along the main alley of Rechnoy Vokzal (“River Station”) Park, which was restored in 2020 under the ‘My district’ city improvement program.

In the summer of 2020, the station, which resembles a ship, was enveloped in scaffolding, as the original 1937 edifice was being restored. Today, it is surrounded by fountains with children running around, endless flower beds and an all-new embankment that runs along a miniature replica of the Moscow Canal, replete with children’s paddle boats and other attractions.

“It’s really beautiful. Cruise ships and motor vessels depart from here. Muscovites love it and tourists definitely will as well,” says Yakunina. 

Park Levoberezhnyj, Moscow

Her second favorite place for a post-work evening stroll is Druzhba (Friendship) Park, laid out for the 6th World Festival of Youth and Students in 1957. The main features are its monuments and sculptures dedicated to children, international friendship and war heroes, as well as the pond-reflected willows and the playgrounds. Thanks to these two parks, the air in the district differs sharply from that in central Moscow - that she is sure of.

In summer, Levoberezhny beach (renovated under the ‘My district’ city improvement program in 2018) becomes the main focal point and Galina heartily recommends it to tourists. 

“The beach is covered with sand, with a cafe, sun loungers and beach volleyball. It’s very relaxing,” she says, describing the place. 

3. Filevsky Park

For social conflict expert Alexei Ivanushkin, Filevsky Park in the city’s west has always been the main symbol of Moscow.

“I moved here in 2005 from St Petersburg, when the Gorbushka electronics market was one of Moscow’s main draws. There were always crowds of people, poorly dressed, but eager for gadgets. We used to go to the wooded parts of Filevsky Park, clearing branches, because it was impossible to get through. There were bottles everywhere that people had just left. In other words, it was a hub for alcoholics,” Ivanushkin shares his first impressions of the area.

Fifteen years later, the now-landscaped embankment of the park is Alexei’s favorite spot for daily walks and he also advises tourists to visit.

“For me, the place is full of energy and inspires the soul,” says Ivanushkin. 

No less significant is the Baroque Church of the Intercession at Fili, constructed in the late 17th century and financed by the boyar Lev Naryshkin, asserts Ivanushkin. In 1812, Napoleon’s soldiers converted the first floor of the church into a stable. In 1943, the lower church was used as a hospital and then, until 1963, as a warehouse for paper products. Highly recommended to anyone interested in unusual places of worship.

“The Suvorov Military School stood opposite the church. And every year at the graduation ceremony, it was a tradition for graduates to secretly raise the flag of the armed forces on the building. They tried to stop it, but no one was ever punished,” recounts Ivanushkin.

To learn more about Russian rock music, Alexei advises a visit to the Gorbunov Palace of Culture, named after Sergei Gorbunov, the director of an aircraft factory and built in 1938. In 1986, it housed the first “rock-n-roll laboratory” in Moscow, earning the building a reputation as the capital’s premier venue for rock concerts and festivals. 

4. Krylatskoe

To learn more about sports facilities built for the 1980 Moscow Olympics, Krylatskoye is the place to start, says local resident Yulia Zhiltsova, who moved to Moscow from Siberia and has lived in the city’s western part for 21 years.

“I love walking around the velodrome and other Olympics facilities. There’s also a speed-skating center and rowing canal. Red Bull regularly organizes the Flugtag competition here, it’s really fun and interesting,” notes Zhiltsova.

In her free time, Yulia enjoys what are perhaps the capital’s most beautiful views from West Krylatsky Hill in the nearby park, offering a panorama of Moscow-City, the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos and the arch of Zhivopisny Bridge.

She advises tourists to climb the hill, take shots of the stunning Moscow backdrops and escape the hustle and bustle of the central historical districts.

“Here you feel at one with nature, yet central Moscow is just 20 minutes down the road. There are no crowds, even on weekends. The center is packed and impersonal, but here the atmosphere is a bit more homely,” Zhiltsova explains. 

5. Khoroshevsky

Khodynskoe Field in the Khoroshevsky district is notorious as the site of a deadly crush during celebrations to mark the coronation of Nicholas II in 1905. Today, it looks more like a futuristic city with fantastical towers, art objects in the local park and dancing fountains. By 8 p.m. on weekdays, the park is especially crowded — school students shoot TikTok dance videos and ride skateboards, while children run with their parents through the mirror maze. 

Local resident Alexander Lyubarsky moved to Khodynka in 2010 and, as a photographer, immediately fell in love with the views. 

“Every part of Khodynsky Park — be it a swing, a pond, a sports ground stylized as an airplane and helicopter, or the fountains behind us — is photogenic,” explains Lyubarsky. The Park appeared in 2018 under the ‘My district’ city renovation program.

His second favorite place for photos is the small Berezovaya Roscha (“Birch Grove”) Park (renovated in 2020 as part of the ‘My district’ program), which, besides birches, is home to maple, ash, and linden trees. 

Every visitor to Khodynka simply must go to the World War I Heroes Memorial Park at the Bratskoe (Fraternal) Cemetery, Lyubarsky insists.

“There’s a wonderful chapel with the buried ashes of Grand Duke Nikolai Romanov [the grandson of Nicholas I and an uncle of Nicholas II who was the Russian commander-in-chief during World War I]. Everything’s also very photogenic there,” says Lyubarsky. 

In his opinion, every foreign tourist should visit Khodynka for a glimpse of what the future Russia might look like. 

“It would be good if all the suburbs could be like this. I’d love this to spread beyond the Moscow Ring Road [MKAD],” he concludes.

The Red Square and beyond: a guide to Moscow’s neighbourhoods

One of the world’s largest cities, Moscow is a true metropolis whose ancient neighbourhoods are interspersed with newly built high-rises, inhabited by people from all over the former Soviet Union.

It’s also the city of rings: the innermost is the Kremlin itself; further away are the former defensive rings, Boulevard Ring and Garden Ring; still further are the Third Ring Road and the MKAD, which delineates the city’s borders. There’s an ongoing joke that Moscow Mayor is the Lord of the Rings. Most sights are contained within the Garden Ring, although for some more authentic neighbourhoods one has to venture further out. To help you explore Moscow’s diversity, we picked our favourite ’hoods – but this list is by no means exhaustive.

The Red Square and around

It can be argued that Moscow, or even the whole of Russia, starts at the  Red Square  – it’s an absolute must-see for any visitor. After standing in line to check out Lenin’s granite  mausoleum , go to GUM , Moscow's oldest department store. Full of luxury shops, it’s famous for the glass roof designed by one of Russia’s most celebrated architects, Vladimir Shukhov. Apart from architectural wonders, GUM has several places to eat including the Soviet-style cafeteria Stolovaya No 57 where you can sample mysterious-sounding delicacies such as the ‘herring in a fur coat’.

On the opposite side of GUM, Kremlin ’s walls and towers rise above the Red Square. Walk through the Alexander Garden  and past the grotto to the Kremlin’s entrance. It’s a treasure trove for any art and history lover: ancient gold-domed churches, icons galore and the resting place of Moscow tsars.

On the other side of the Red Square is Moscow's symbol,  St Basil's Cathedral with its multi-colored domes. Right behind it is the newly built Zaryadye Park , which showcases flora from all over Russia; another attraction is the floating bridge jutting out above the embankment and the Moscow river. A glass pavilion nearby hosts Voskhod , a space-themed restaurant with dishes from all 15 former Soviet Union republics. It’s a perfect spot for a classy evening meal and there’s often live music.

Patriarch’s Ponds

The Patriarch’s Ponds (aka Patriki) is a historical neighbourhood, celebrated in Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel Master and Margarita . Located right off Tverskaya street, Moscow’s main thoroughfare, Patriki recently became the city’s most happening quarter. It has some of the most elegant architecture, including several buildings by art-nouveau genius Fyodor Shekhtel. Narrow streets here have a cozy feel, with recently widened sidewalks and bike lanes. In the summer it becomes party central.

Start by checking out free exhibitions or one of the cutting-edge performances at the experimental theatre Praktika . But make no mistake, the neighbourhood’s main attraction are its bars and restaurants. Patriki’s residents are well-off Russians and expats, so it’s no wonder that  Moscow’s recent culinary revolution started here. Uilliam’s , one of the pioneers of this foodie movement, still rules over the scene with its floor-to-ceiling windows. Also try AQ Chicken  for everything chicken-related, Patara  for a taste of Georgian cuisine, and Cutfish for some great sushi. Finish your gastronomic tour with original cocktails at Pinch or the Moscow outpost of NYC restaurant Saxon+Parole .

Around Kursky train station

For a long time, Kursky train station was surrounded by semi-abandoned factories and the area was best avoided. It all changed in the late 2000s, when a dilapidated wine factory was turned into Winzavod , a mecca for fans of contemporary art. Today these red-brick buildings are occupied by some of Moscow’s leading galleries. After taking in all the art, pop in the small wine bar Barrell  for a glass from burgeoning wineries of Russia’s south or grab a bite at Khitrye Lyudi  cafe.

Right next to Winzavod is Artplay , another refurbished factory full of design and furniture shops and large exhibition spaces.  It’s also home to  Pluton , one of the latest additions to Moscow’s dance scene. Other Pluton residents are the multimedia art gallery Proun  and another lunch option,  Shanhaika , with authentic Chinese cuisine.

A short walk away is Arma, where a cluster of circular gas holders has been turned into offices, restaurants and clubs including Gazgolder  (it belongs to one of Russia’s most famous rappers, Basta). Apart from hip-hop concerts, Gazgolder organises regular techno parties that sometimes go non-stop from Friday to Monday.

If you’re interested in religious architecture, Taganka is the place to go. First of all, see the old Moscow at Krutitskoye Podvorye – one of those places where nothing seems to have changed in centuries. The monastery was founded in the 13th century, but in the 16th century it became the home of Moscow metropolitans and most of the surviving buildings are from that epoch. Take a tour of the grounds, and don’t miss the interior and icons of the Assumption Cathedral.

Your next stop is the Rogozhskoe settlement of ‘old believers’, a branch that split from Russian Orthodoxy in the 17th century. The settlement is dominated by an 80m-tall bell tower. The yellow-coloured Intercession Church, built in neoclassical style with baroque elements, has an important collection of icons. Next to the church grounds is the popular Trapeznaya cafeteria, with Russian food cooked using traditional recipes – a perfect spot for lunch.

A short ride away is Andronikov Monastery, which today houses the Rublyov Museum  in the old monks’ quarters. There’s a great collection of ancient Orthodox icons although none by Andrei Rublyov, who was a monk here in the 15th century. The main attraction at the monastery is the small Saviour’s Cathedral, considered the oldest surviving church in Moscow.

Finish the day at the craft-beer cluster around Taganskaya metro station. Varka offers both Russian and imported labels, with the Burger Heroes stand serving arguably the best burgers in town. Craft & Draft looks more like a respectable old-fashioned pub, with decent food, 20 beers on tap and a hundred types of bottled brews.

Khamovniki is Moscow’s ancient textile district, named after the word kham  (a type of cloth). Two main thoroughfares, Ostozhenka and Prechistenka, cut through the neighbourhood parallel to each other. The former turned into the so-called ‘Golden Mile’ of Moscow in the 1990s, with the highest real-estate prices and some of the best examples of new Russian architecture, while the latter is still mostly lined up with impressive 19th-century mansions.

Khamovniki is somewhat of a literary quarter, as several museums devoted to Russia’s best-known writers – among them  Leo Tolstoy , Alexander Pushkin  and Ivan Turgenev – popped up here during the last century. There’s also plenty to see for an art lover. The  Multimedia Art Museum regularly hosts exhibitions by some of the best photographers from all over the world, as well as contemporary art. Several galleries, including RuArts  and Kournikova Gallery , have also found home in Khamovniki.

When you’ve had your fill of literature and art, stop by Gorod Sad on Ostozhenka, an outpost of a local health-food chain, and order dishes such as pumpkin soup or grilled vegetables salads. Afterwards, head to Dom 12 , which is located just off Ostozhenka street. This restaurant and wine bar is frequented by the city’s intellectuals and its schedule includes lectures, book presentations and film screenings, while in the summer guests migrate to a lovely courtyard.
