Our 41 ft Viking yacht BAR FOUR 2 has everything you need and more for a great day out. We can take a maximum of 15 guests on this vessel but we like to limit our trips to about 6 or 8 guests to guarantee the best level of service. Enjoy our onboard Wi-Fi in the air-conditioned salon or come feel the sea breeze on the fly bridge.

The yacht is powered by two diesel engines that produce a total of 740 hp and give it a top speed of 24 knots. The cruising speed of this yacht is 17 knots. There is a 8kw generator onboard and she is fully air-conditioned. The electronics package consists of all Garmin radar, sonar and two VHF radios and GPS plotters.

If you only do one private tour in Curacao, it should be a day trip to Klein Curacao. The small, uninhabited island is definitely worth a visit.

You can snorkel, swim with sea turtles or simply enjoy the great beach. We have taken this Private Charter to Klein Curacao tour many times and never regretted it.

Make sure to bring enough sunscreen and some good walking shoes if you want to explore the lighthouse and the two shipwrecks on the other side of the island.

3. Private Curacao Snorkel & Boat Tours

This Private Boat Trip with Trip and Treat Tours is one of the most fun adventures on the island.

In three hours the crew will take you on their small boat out on the Spanish Waters for some relaxing, water-sports and beach time. We saw the famous Tafelberg and explored the mangroves on the tour.

We booked this tour for our wedding anniversary, so we brought a small bottle of champagne to celebrate as well.

The crew was super friendly and helpful – they taught both of us how to wake-board with lots of patience! They live on the island, so they had lots of helpful travel tips for us.

Admittedly, the place where the tour starts is super hard to find.

But apart from our struggles to find the boat, we had an amazing time and can fully recommend this tour.

4. Private Cultural Tours & Museums

Those who know me know that I always love taking historical tours of the places I visit. Therefore I can totally recommend the Private Jewish Heritage Tour Experience in Curacao.

You will make many interesting stops on this tour. My favorite ones are the Mikve Israel-Emanuel Synagogue, the Mongui Maduro Museum and the Curacao Liqueur Distillery.

Another impressive stop is the oldest cemetery in the Western Hemisphere.

Sadly, entrance fees to the museums are not included in the tour price.

The tour is nicely organized and you will learn so much about the history and culture of Curacao.

There are many reasons for taking a private tour in Curacao – as opposed to a group tour. Personally, we try to go private whenever we can afford it. I highly recommend going private as well.

Here are my main reasons for booking private tours:

• more personal attention from your tour guide
• customizeable itineraries
• not having to wait for others
• no danger of not so nice groups
• more relaxed experience
• perfect for cruise ship guests as shore excursions

Most of the tours supply you with the necessary gear (snorkeling equipment, etc). However, it can still be good to have your own things that are best suited to your needs.

Apart from the snorkel gear, it is always good to bring sunscreen, sunglasses and cover-ups. Good walking shoes are usually also recommended.

By default, this trip is offered without a transfer and you will have to come to Seru Boca Marina on your own. If you don’t have transportation, we can of course arrange that nicely for you as well. At the port you can park for free and you can also use toilet and shower facilities.

Lying in the sun on the deck, relaxing music in the background, snacks & drinks within reach, what more could you want! Choose a wonderful private trip on this comfortable sailing yacht for up to 6 people and fully enjoy sun, sea and sailing. From the port you will sail across the Spanish Waters leaving towards the Caribbean Sea, easy on the engine via Santa Barbara to Fuik Bay. In this quiet, protected bay that can only be accessed by boat, anchor is thrown out to enjoy swimming, snorkeling and, above all, relaxing. Because of the draft of the sailing yacht (2 meters), it stays just slightly offshore and within swimming distance of the small beaches. On the way back you sail westward into the beautiful sunset, can you picture it? Sailing on sail, of course, depends on good and safe wind and water conditions. Helping with sailing is allowed (in consultation with the captain and only for experienced sailors), but of course not required. What is required? Full enjoyment! But that won’t be a problem with this delightful trip.

Overall, our yacht experience with Giovanne was nothing short of extraordinary. It was the perfect way to celebrate a milestone birthday with friends, and endless memories. I can't wait for the opportunity to set sail again and create more unforgettable moments on the open seas.

David is very knowledgable on the area! The booking process was smooth and the marina easy to get to. We were welcomed aboard warmly and friendly. After getting accustomed to the boat we were on our way to Klein beach with our favorite music that he played for us and a nice cold beer. He threw a line to test our luck on the way there. The trip was smooth and we were there ahead of schedule as he predicted. Once in the island it was a wonderful experience. We spent the day at the beach and explored. He prepared a spot for us on the beach with ice and drinks. We decided to have lunch at 3 pm and while we were enjoying the beach he became a chef. He prepared tasty bbq and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch aboard. After we went on to relax again in the beach until it was time to go back. We did so smoothly and he did the best route so we would enjoy the sunset while sipping some cold champagne. Finally we arrived back to the point of origin while saying hi to many locals that were sitting in their boats. David is an excellent captain, and moreover a local who knows where to go and who is who. Simply a wonderful host!! We highly recommend him and will definitely be coming back. Thank you David!!!

This trip was wonderful! We had three kids under the age of 7 and and infant and Daniel and Captain Joseph were so accommodating. Even with the heavy winds we had an amazing day on the water. The food was great and they both were so kind and we loved spending the afternoon with them! 10/10 recommend!

David is absolutely awesome. I would definitely book with him again. He helped work through some of our groups rearrangements and was very helpful and insightful throughout the entire trip. Where is Curacao located? Island's facts at a glance

Curacao belongs to the so called ABC group, with Aruba on its west and Bonaire on the east side, all are located in the Southern Caribbean Sea, north of the equator and outside the hurricane belt. The Dutch Caribbean islands historically known as the Dutch West Indies includes the 6 islands of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba.

Did you know Curacao also includes Klein Curaçao? A small 1,5 square kilometer uninhabited island with pristine beaches, located 10 kilometers south east and perfect for day trips and overnights on a boat. 

What is the best time to visit Curacao?  

Curacao has an attractive warm climate all year round with an average temperature of 83°F and a continous, tropical breeze. The average sea water temperature is about 28°C (83°F).

In general, the skies are mostly clear to partly cloudy. The hottest moments of the year are in the months September and October. Most rain falls from October until December. 

The high season builds up around the Christmas holidays, from December until April. If you love to sail, dive or snorkel, you will enjoy it throughout the year.

Highest Point Mount Christoffel   

Our island stretches 40 miles from the southeast to the northwest. The land area is 444 square kilometres, around 171 square miles (61km from east to west and 14km from north to south). The highest point is the Christoffelberg (Mount Christoffel) with its 375m in the western part of the island. Perfect for those who love a brisk early bird walk. 

Willemstad Unesco World Heritage Site  

The Islands population counts about 156.000 inhabitants and is a cultural mix of more then 100 nationalities. The main city Willemstad is a Unesco World Heritage Site, which is unique and one of the few located in the Caribbean. On the 10th of October 2010 Curacao became autonomous within the Royal Kingdom of the Netherlands. This day is a national holiday.

The official language is Dutch, but English and Spanish are spoken everywhere. The native language is Papiamento and is a variety of languages such as Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese, English, Indian and a little African.

The Local currency is ‘the guilder’ (Netherlands Antillean Florin). Also US dollars are accepted island-wide and change may be given in guilders.
