Drake and 21 Savage’s Yacht Gets Robbed by a Crew of Seductive Villains in ‘Spin Bout U’ Video
- By Tomás Mier
Drake and 21 Savage get played by some seductive villains — I guess they’re technically pirates? — in the rap duo’s new music video. On Friday, Drake and 21 Savage released the film-like visual for “Spin Bout U,” a standout from their joint 2022 album, Her Loss .
The Dave Meyers-directed video follows the rappers chilling on a private yacht before the two notice a girl drowning in the ocean. After bringing her onboard, the woman seduces Drake (and blows some sleeping drugs in his face) as her fellow pirates get on board to rob the two.
The video sees the women stealing their jewelry and weapons and vandalizing the yacht as the musicians try to escape from them. “Jealous-ass hoes, yeah/And I know what I said ’bout bein’ in Vogue,” raps Drake on the floor in one scene. “But just like that R&B group from the ’90s/Girl, one call, I’ll get you in Vogue/One call, you in runway shows/One call, I’m sittin’ front row.”

“Spin Bout U” was featured on Her Loss , which included songs like “Rick Flex, “Major Distribution,” “Pussy and Millions” with Travis Scot, and “On BS.” The new video also comes a month after Drake performed an intimate show at the Apollo in New York City.
“With a max capacity of around 1,500, the show felt like the big-budget stadium productions artists like Drake are accustomed to, except on an actual human scale,” read a Rolling Stone review of the show. “For an artist whose career relies on sincerity, it was a blessing.”

Drake and 21 Savage have shared a new music video for their collaborative track, “Spin Bout U.”
The song featured on the pair’s joint album Her Loss , which was released last year, and is the latest from the record to get the visual treatment.
The new clip was directed by Dave Meyers and finds the two rappers on a massive, luxurious boat in the middle of the ocean. As they’re sailing, though, they spot a woman struggling in the middle of the sea, rescue her and bring her on board.

By the end of last year, Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss had already racked up one billion streams on Spotify – despite only being released on November 4 – setting a new record for both stars. The project led to 21 Savage earning his first billion streams on the streaming service and Drake his 12th.
The record also became Drake’s fifth chart-topper, following Views (from 2016), Scorpion (2018), Dark Lane Demo Tapes (2020), and Certified Lover Boy (2021), while it gave 21 Savage his first No.1.
Her Loss followed Drake’s 2022 solo surprise album Honestly, Nevermind . Although the record only featured one guest – another collaboration with Savage – the Canadian rapper teamed up with his go-to collaborators Noah “40” Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, and engineer Noel Cadastre as executive producers. Additionally, he also recruited South African house producer Black Coffee for the project, who also serves as an EP.
Meanwhile, Drake is among the artists leading the nominations at the 2023 Urban Music Awards , which will take place in London tomorrow (February 28). He is in the running for Best Album for Her Loss, Artist Of The Year (USA), and Most Creative Artist.

Who Is Precious Lee? 6 Facts About the Star of Drake & 21 Savage’s “Spin Bout U” Video
Precious Lee really steals the show in Drake and 21 Savage's "Spin Bout U" music video. Learn more about the model with these six fast facts.
Image via YouTube
Last week, Drake and 21 Savage dropped the visual for their collaboration “Spin Bout U,” marking the first video from the duo’s joint project, Her Loss.
In the video, which was shot by Dave Meyers, Drake and 21 Savage are found lost at sea on a beautiful and luxurious yacht. At first it looks like 21 is the Rose to Drake’s Jack Dawson, but the party of two is quickly interrupted when they save a woman who is seemingly drowning. After wining and dining the mysterious woman back to health, Drake and 21 then find themselves intertwined in the plot of Captain Phillips , as a clan of women board the ship and tear the place apart in search of jewels and loot. The four-minute video is quite comical and entertaining, but the star of the visual wasn’t Drake or 21. It was the leading lady: Precious Lee.
View this video on YouTube
Precious Lee’s name might sound familiar. She is a plus-size model from Atlanta who has walked in shows for Versace, Moschino, Fendi, and many more. Lee began her career at the age of 18 when she was attending HBCU Clark Atlanta University. She is currently signed to modeling agency IMG and over the last few years, has made waves in the fashion industry, appearing in high-end fashion shows and on the covers of magazines. Along the way, she has also made history as a Black woman and curve model, which has led to a more inclusive industry.
Check out some fast facts about Drake and 21 Savage’s leading lady below.
Lee’s introduction to the fashion world wasn’t easy. After moving to New York City to pursue modeling, her agent suggested she change her name “to something more mainstream.” Lee was reluctant, but obliged and selected the name Victoria. “I quickly realized I didn’t connect with the name,” Lee wrote in a personal essay for Time . “I would go into casting and write down “Precious” by mistake—or they would call for ‘Victoria,’ and I wouldn’t answer.” Lee asked her agent if she could revert back to her given name, but they rejected the idea. So, Lee changed agencies a few times before signing to IMG in 2015. It was there that she insisted on going by her birth name and embracing her identity. Although she admits it was hard having people reject her based on her name or how she looks, it ultimately helped her become more confident in who she is. “No matter what industry you work in, a lot of people will try to manipulate you,” she wrote. “It’s so easy to take in everything that you hear and let others’ voices drown out your own. You can be completely manipulated into acting, doing, and saying whatever other people want you to.”
Lee wasn’t always headed down the fashion model path. She revealed in a 2022 cover story for Elle that she initially planned to go to law school. She only decided to change course after a friend persuaded her to go to an open call at a modeling agency in Atlanta. She signed with Ford Models during the second semester of her senior year of college. “That was one of the most spiritual decisions that I feel like I made in my adult life—to really take that leap,” she said. “To say I’m a full-time model after spending thousands of dollars on college. That is a huge risk. Especially being a size 12, 14. Having dark skin, not coming from nepotism. There were so many different things that were aligned for me to have ‘a struggle.’”
In time, Lee worked her way up in the fashion industry, appearing in print advertisements and commercials. After nabbing the Lane Bryant campaign in Vogue, Lee was soon tapped to walk the runway for Christian Siriano’s inclusive fashion brand. Lee has been a recurring model on Siriano’s runway, walking every show from 2016 to 2020. Over the course of her career so far, Lee has walked in some of the biggest shows in the fashion business, including Versace, Etam, Tommy Hilfiger, Lanvin, and many more. She has also appeared in major campaigns for Kim Kardashian’s Skims and Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty show.

In 2015, Lee hit a huge milestone by appearing in the September issue of American Vogue in a campaign ad called #PlusIsEqual for plus-size womenswear company Lane Bryant, becoming the first Black plus-size model to appear in the fashion magazine. Just one year later , Lee made history again, becoming the first Black plus-size model featured in Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue. The high profile model didn’t stop there. In 2021, she checked off another accomplishment, as the first Black curve model to walk in the Versace fashion show. Of the huge feat, she told Good Morning America , “Walking Versace with two other non-traditional sized models was a huge breakthrough… I am the only curve model in the campaign. For me as an African American woman […] to finally be able to break through something that was not set up for me—[the fashion industry] is not set up for someone my size and my color and my background. It is a lot to get through that.”
You can catchLee on the cover of magazines almost as much as on the runway. Since appearing inside of American Vogue, Lee has been tapped as the cover star for the brand’s Italian issue. She has also been featured on the cover of Elle , W , Porter , and more.
In 2021, Lee made her acting debut in the Starz comedy series, Run This World . She appeared in two episodes as the character Cherise. Though it was a small role, it is a solid stepping stone for future acting opportunities.

On a yacht, him and all the dogs.
Drake was seen chartering a megayacht that costs a whopping $660,000 a week while enjoying a European vacation with friends.
“this is the story about the boy that never gave up- starring moi,” the “Jimmy Cooks” rapper captioned a series of photos from his sea-side adventure on Tuesday.
Drake, 35, shared a photo where he was seen seated on the edge of a dingy with the massive floater in the background as the sun set behind him.
He also shared a sneak peek aboard the yacht where the lavish deck included a swimming pool and plush seating. Inside, a long dining table was seen lined with candles and Drake also shared a silly video of his best friend Chubbs dancing with another pal as guests enjoyed cocktails.
The pricey 238-foot superyacht, dubbed “Coral Ocean,” includes a sun lounge with a glass-bottom spa pool, a sky lounge with a full-service bar and a sound system, and a decked-out master bedroom that has skylights and panoramic views, according to the boat’s website.
“The master bedroom has everything you desire, including his and her en-suites with infrared sauna, hair salon facilities … as well as a private lounge area,” the website boasts.
Aboard, there at 22 crew members including beauty therapists that can give massages and manicures, a private chef that can cook meals for up to 30 guests, several stewardesses and deckhands, and of course, a captain.
There are also eight bedroom suites, a full gym, a steam room, a Jacuzzi, and Dior and iKou beauty products.
And the yacht is stocked with waterskis, paddle boats, jet skis, inflatable toys, an electric surfboard, fishing gear, snorkeling gear, swimming noodles and more.
Drake posted about traveling to Ibiza, Spain with his entourage earlier this week.
“Who’s daaaaaaat???” he captioned a photo of him with pals in front of a sign that read “Welcome to Ibiza.”
His Euro-trip comes just days after reports surfaced that Drake was allegedly arrested on drug-related charges in Sweden, causing the hashtag #FreeDrake to trend on Twitter. And while his team initially denied he was arrested, Drake posted about the rights people have if detained in Sweden days later , hinting that he had some sort of run-in with the cops abroad.
Drake is no stranger to traveling in style. He arrived to Sweden via his private jet, “Air Drake.”

Drake and Lil Yachty Have "Another Long Night" in New Music Video
Helmed by cole bennett of lyrical lemonade..
Drake and Lil Yachty have debuted a music video for their For All the Dogs joint, “Another Long Night.”
The visual is helmed by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade and marks Drizzy’s first collaboration with the director. Set at night, just as the title suggests, the video shows the pair doing some fun, late-night activities such as driving around the city and getting tattoos. Bennett explained in a previous interview that the music video was filmed in Maple Ridge in Vancouver, which “felt the most tucked away and ducked off, and it was surrounded by trees, and it just felt like the safest place to do it and a place where the artist could feel comfortable.”

Drake Bell Recreates Drake and Josh Set for Music Video After Revealing He Was Sexually Abused
Bell recently revealed he was a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of dialogue coach Brian Peck while working as a child actor on Nickelodeon
Drake Bell is processing his trauma through new music.
Several days after the singer/actor, 37, revealed he was a victim of sexual abuse while working as a child actor on Nickelodeon, he's released "I Kind of Relate," a new song about his experience and an accompanying music video .
The project seemingly alludes to his past, as the song finds him singing of "running away / From the abuse and all the shame," while the visual sees him appearing on a television set that resembles his former Nickelodeon series, Drake and Josh .
"This song was inspired by my past and now that my story is being told I felt the time was right to share it," Bell wrote in the caption of the video on YouTube.
Drake Bell/YouTube
The video opens to a young boy reading over his lines on a TV set until an adult man leads him into a trailer and closes the blinds. As he stands up, the back of the chair reveals his name to be "Drake Bell," as does the exterior of the trailer.
Bell himself then appears in the video, sitting in a car with his face bloodied, as if he has just survived a crash.
After undergoing surgery, the "Found a Way" singer sits in on what appears to be a group therapy sessionand eventually picks up a guitar in a set that greatly resembles the bedroom that his character Drake Parker and his step-brother, Josh Nichols (played by Josh Peck ), shared on Drake and Josh .
"I kind of relate / I found beauty in my pain / I’m running away / From the abuse and all the shame," he sings on the pop-rock song. "‘Cause no one comes / To my house anymore / No one knocks on my door / I kind of relate / The wrong decisions I have made / I wanted to stay / But I couldn’t last another day / My golden days / They seem so far and gray / So I’m running away (running away)."
Michael Tran/Getty
Shortly after "I Kind of Relate" dropped on Monday, the former cast member of The Amanda Show took to Instagram to open up about the genesis behind the car crash imagery in the music video.
"For those who might not get some of the references in the video. This was my car accident," he wrote in the caption of a photo of himself in a hospital bed with his hands and face bloodied.
"I was stopped at a red light and someone fell asleep at the wheel and hit me head on at about 60 mph," he continued. "I broke my jaw in three places fractured my neck and lost 9 teeth. My jaw was wired shut for six months. Luckily I was driving a 1966 Ford Mustang and the strength of the car kept it from crushing in on me saving my life."

The song and music video comes less than a week after the former child star came forward as a survivor of sexual abuse at the hands of dialogue coach Brian Peck . Bell began to open up about the experience, which occurred when over a six month period when he was 15, in a preview released in anticipation of the Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV .
“The clip reveals that former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell will be sharing publicly, for the first time, the story of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck, his former dialogue coach who was convicted in 2004 for his crimes against Drake and ordered to register as a sex offender,” Warner Bros. Discovery said in a press release shared with PEOPLE.
In 2004, in connection with Bell's case, Peck pleaded no contest to a charge of oral copulation with a minor under 16 as well as a charge of performing a lewd act with a teenager. Bell's identity as the victim was not made public at the time. Peck spent 16 months in prison and was mandated to register as a sex offender.
The four-part program, which premiered on Sunday and resumes on Monday at 9 p.m. ET/PT, explores Bell's experience, and sheds light on other anecdotes about the toxic, dangerous culture behind some of the most beloved children's shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Bell is among the performers who appear in the docuseries. He previously starred on Nickelodeon's All That and The Amanda Show from 1999 to 2002 before landing his own series with the network, Drake & Josh , in 2004.

Drake Bell has found a way to cope with his deep-seated trauma.
The former Nickelodeon star — who will detail the sexual abuse he suffered at the hands of convicted child sex offender Brian Peck in Monday’s episodes of the heart-wrenching docuseries Quiet on Set (airing on Investigation Discovery and streaming on Max at 9 pm ET) — has released an autobiographical music video that recounts not only his grooming, but his own subsequent legal troubles.
The video for “I Kind of Relate” begins with a young stand-in for Bell being led into a trailer by a much older man, who shuts the door behind them and closes the curtains so no one can see inside. In the accompanying verse, Bell sings of “running away from the abuse and all the shame.”
Another verse alludes to “the wrong decisions I have made,” which seem to speak not only to a driving accident at 19, but his myriad struggles with addiction and the law.
In June 2021, Bell pled guilty to a felony charge of attempting to endanger children, and a misdemeanor charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. The charges stemmed from a 2017 incident involving Bell, then 31, and a 15-year-old girl he met online. According to authorities, Bell and the underage girl exchanged social media messages that were “sexual in nature.” He was sentenced to two years’ probation and 200 hours of community service.
The video culminates in Bell picking up his guitar — which looks to be the same guitar he played in the 2005 music video for “ Found a Way ” — on the set of the Schneider-produced sitcom, Drake & Josh .
In more recent years, Bell transitioned to animated work, voicing Peter Parker in the Disney XD series Ultimate Spider-Man , Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H .

Beyoncé teases surprise features on new album, taylor swift suspected, beyoncé teases surprise features on album fans suspect taylor swift, 693 3/19/2024 10:01 am pt.
New Beyoncé music is coming at the end of the month -- and based on what she's describing in terms of possible features ... a lot of folks think Taylor Swift will appear.
The singer made a big announcement Tuesday -- dropping the release date for her forthcoming album, "Cowboy Carter," as March 29 ... and adding a lengthy caption to describe the process that went into making this one.
Waiting for your permission to load the Instagram Media.
She starts out by thanking everyone for blowing up her two new singles -- "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages" -- and goes on to say she's excited to trot out this new era of hers.
Bey writes, "This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive."
She also notes she faced criticism when she first broached the country music scene -- something that was well-documented at the time with her track "Daddy Lessons."
With all that, Beyoncé says this ... "I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect. I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound."
She finishes by saying "Cowboy Carter" isn't a country album, but rather ... a Beyoncé album -- which is obviously exciting, but her suggesting some legendary acts are on this project has seriously piqued people's curiosity ... including the Swifties.
Fact is ... a Beyonce and Taylor collab would be one the biggest musical team-ups in recent memory -- and the fact that Taylor got her start in country isn't lost on anyone either.
Plus, we know T-Swift and Bey are already friendly -- having attended the other's respective movie premieres last year ... so we know for a fact they respect and support each other.
Also, remember ... music producer Killah B -- who came up with the beat for "Texas Hold 'Em" -- played coy with us when we asked him point blank if there was a possibility Taylor might appear on this record of Bey's. Worth noting ... he didn't outright deny it at the time.
Obviously, we'll just have to wait to see if TayTay shows up on this ... but if she does, it'll be epic.
