Simple elegance and comfort is abound on this beautiful San Lorenzo motor yacht GRACE (EX Polar Star). With neutral colors and clean lines throughout the yacht, guests will feel at ease at once. With four staterooms, each with en suite facilities, she comfortably accommodates eight guests. There is an Owner’s cabin with a Jacuzzi tub and shower en suite, a VIP cabin and two twin cabins. GRACE III SES YACHTS

Grace III is a customised version of the Truly Classic 128 limited series designed by Andre HOEK, Hoek Naval Architects B.V. Grace III is built for an experienced yachtsman who has been heavily involved in all details of the yacht, especially her interior and exterior design. She incorporates an owner’s cabin aft, three guest cabins and two crew cabins, one of which is a ‘flex’ cabin for use during charters. The interior design and styling are by Hoek Design with décor and soft furnishings by YM Design of London, all in close cooperation with the owners. The interior joinery features simple mahogany panelling, oak floors and off-white painted deckheads and bulkheads in all cabins. The exterior has been customised with a single main deckhouse open to the lower saloon and dining area to create a great feeling of space. On the aft deck there are two separate cockpits, one a working area, the other for guests to relax. There’s a dining table for twelve. The separation of the cockpits works well, providing guests and children not involved in sailing a safe and comfortable place to relax. Technically, Grace III is built to world class standards and is equipped with a Scania main engine, Kohler generators, Lewmar hydraulics systems and a controllable pitch propellor by Hundested, as well as features and equipment normally found aboard a sailing superyacht of this size.

Joseph and Britta grew up a world apart but ended up finding each other and true love in the beautiful Virgin Islands. He grew up on a small family farm in the Pacific Northwest and she grew up with her toes in the sand on the white sandy beaches of Florida. Before moving to the Caribbean, Joseph received degrees the Culinary Arts and Patisserie and Baking from Western Culinary Institute in Portland Oregon. In 2009, he packed his bags for the islands where he immediately bought and resided on his new boat in the Virgin Islands. Britta came to St Croix as a PADI dive instructor in 2005. She worked in local dive shops and in the hospitality industry, while taking advantage of the best scuba diving in the Caribbean. She honed in her skills as being one of the premiere dive guides and instructors while living in St Croix. While the couple lived in St John Britta spent time aboard a 36' Pearson- "Kiote" offering day sailing excursions the shallow reefs that fringe the East end of the island. Her love of all things underwater is apparent by her enthusiasm to share her discoveries of animal and plant life while on your water adventures! Whether you're a beginner snorkeler or advanced scuba diver, her knowledge and expertise always delivers an amazing custom designed experience for everyone. Before embarking on the New Luxury Catamaran "Grace", Joseph and Britta were on the 50ft Catamaran "Dianna Rose" for 3 years and worked in tandem, perfecting a concierge experience with world class cuisine and custom tailored scuba and snorkel adventures for all levels. Proud to partner with the Virgin Island community, Joseph and Britta take a lot of pride in buying local. These key relationships with farmers and fisherman has elevated their status as having the freshest ingredients on board at all times and has been a key to their success. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht charter experience.

Performance & Range

State of Grace is built with a aluminium hull and aluminium superstructure. Powered by 1 x Caterpillar engines, she comfortably cruises at 10 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of up to 3,000 nautical miles from her 14,400 litre fuel tanks at 7 knots.

Set against the backdrop of your chosen cruising ground, you and your guests can enjoy fun on the water with the collection of water toys and accessories aboard State of Grace. Principle among these are two waterskis that are hugely entertaining whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro. Another excellent feature are SEABOBs, offering a truly remarkable experience that lets you skim along the surface or swim with the fishes quietly and safely. Also there are two wakeboards so guests can show off at speed. If that isn't enough State of Grace also features kayaks, fishing equipment, inflatable water toys, paddleboards and snorkelling equipment. State of Grace has a 5.5m/18'1" Pascoe RIB to transfer you from ship to shore.

State of Grace is available upon request for charter this winter. She is already accepting bookings this summer for cruising in the Mediterranean.

Launched in 2013, the magnificent sailing yacht State of Grace, also known as hull C.2180, is the first 40 M Fast Cruising series sloop, constructed by the prestigious Italian builder, Perini Navi, at its Istanbul-Yildiz shipyard. STATE OF GRACE Specifications

Superyacht State of Grace boasts classic interiors, enriched with touches of contemporary flare. She provides 4 lovely and comfortable cabins for up to 9 guests, including a full beam owner's suite with a gym. There is also a comfortable dining room as well as an ample living area.

All-aluminium luxury yacht State of Grace (hull C.2180) is powered by twin CAT C18 500 Kw diesel engines that enable her to reach a speed of 12 knots at a maximum continuous rating. State of Grace has a beam of 9,4m (30'84'') and a maximum draught of 9m (29'53'').

Cruising the Moskva River: A short guide to boat trips in Russia’s capital

There’s hardly a better way to absorb Moscow’s atmosphere than on a ship sailing up and down the Moskva River. While complicated ticketing, loud music and chilling winds might dampen the anticipated fun, this checklist will help you to enjoy the scenic views and not fall into common tourist traps.

How to find the right boat?

There are plenty of boats and selecting the right one might be challenging. The size of the boat should be your main criteria.

Plenty of small boats cruise the Moskva River, and the most vivid one is this yellow Lay’s-branded boat. Everyone who has ever visited Moscow probably has seen it.

This option might leave a passenger disembarking partially deaf as the merciless Russian pop music blasts onboard. A free spirit, however, will find partying on such a vessel to be an unforgettable and authentic experience that’s almost a metaphor for life in modern Russia: too loud, and sometimes too welcoming. Tickets start at $13 (800 rubles) per person.

Bigger boats offer smoother sailing and tend to attract foreign visitors because of their distinct Soviet aura. Indeed, many of the older vessels must have seen better days. They are still afloat, however, and getting aboard is a unique ‘cultural’ experience. Sometimes the crew might offer lunch or dinner to passengers, but this option must be purchased with the ticket. Here is one such  option  offering dinner for $24 (1,490 rubles).

If you want to travel in style, consider Flotilla Radisson. These large, modern vessels are quite posh, with a cozy restaurant and an attentive crew at your service. Even though the selection of wines and food is modest, these vessels are still much better than other boats.

Surprisingly, the luxurious boats are priced rather modestly, and a single ticket goes for $17-$32 (1,100-2,000 rubles); also expect a reasonable restaurant bill on top.

How to buy tickets?

Women holding photos of ships promise huge discounts to “the young and beautiful,” and give personal invitations for river tours. They sound and look nice, but there’s a small catch: their ticket prices are usually more than those purchased online.

“We bought tickets from street hawkers for 900 rubles each, only to later discover that the other passengers bought their tickets twice as cheap!”  wrote  (in Russian) a disappointed Rostislav on a travel company website.

Nevertheless, buying from street hawkers has one considerable advantage: they personally escort you to the vessel so that you don’t waste time looking for the boat on your own.

Prices start at $13 (800 rubles) for one ride, and for an additional $6.5 (400 rubles) you can purchase an unlimited number of tours on the same boat on any given day.

Flotilla Radisson has official ticket offices at Gorky Park and Hotel Ukraine, but they’re often sold out.

Buying online is an option that might save some cash. Websites such as  this   offer considerable discounts for tickets sold online. On a busy Friday night an online purchase might be the only chance to get a ticket on a Flotilla Radisson boat.

This  website  (in Russian) offers multiple options for short river cruises in and around the city center, including offbeat options such as ‘disco cruises’ and ‘children cruises.’ This other  website  sells tickets online, but doesn’t have an English version. The interface is intuitive, however.

Buying tickets online has its bad points, however. The most common is confusing which pier you should go to and missing your river tour.

“I once bought tickets online to save with the discount that the website offered,” said Igor Shvarkin from Moscow. “The pier was initially marked as ‘Park Kultury,’ but when I arrived it wasn’t easy to find my boat because there were too many there. My guests had to walk a considerable distance before I finally found the vessel that accepted my tickets purchased online,” said the man.

There are two main boarding piers in the city center:  Hotel Ukraine  and  Park Kultury . Always take note of your particular berth when buying tickets online.

Where to sit onboard?

Even on a warm day, the headwind might be chilly for passengers on deck. Make sure you have warm clothes, or that the crew has blankets ready upon request.

The glass-encased hold makes the tour much more comfortable, but not at the expense of having an enjoyable experience.

Getting off the boat requires preparation as well. Ideally, you should be able to disembark on any pier along the way. In reality, passengers never know where the boat’s captain will make the next stop. Street hawkers often tell passengers in advance where they’ll be able to disembark. If you buy tickets online then you’ll have to research it yourself.

There’s a chance that the captain won’t make any stops at all and will take you back to where the tour began, which is the case with Flotilla Radisson. The safest option is to automatically expect that you’ll return to the pier where you started.
