When you’re looking to buy an outboard motor, it’s important to know that not all outboards are the same. Also, not every motor can be used on the same boat. Before purchasing an outboard motor, you need to find out which engine you need for your boat. To find out, you first need to determine whether you need a short shaft (normal shaft), long shaft, or XL shaft. The shaft length you require depends on the transom height of your boat. You can find the transom height by measuring the back of the boat from where the engine rests, to the ground. If you want to know which shaft fits your boat, it is best to use these divisions:

• +/- 43 cm: short shaft (normal shaft).
• +/- 51 cm: long long shaft.
• +/- 63 cm: extra long XL shaft

A Caitlin Clark-themed car will be hitting the track at Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend for NASCAR's Brickyard 400 event. Stewart-Haas Racing unveiled that an image of the Indiana Fever rookie will be on the hood of Josh Berry's No. 4 car.

"Raining 3s with the No. 4," Stewart-Haas Racing wrote on X. "(Josh Berry) will race at Indianapolis with Panini America and Indiana Fever star (Caitlin Clark)."

The image of Clark on the car features her wearing her Iowa uniform. While with the Hawkeyes, she scored 3,951 points in her career, breaking the all-time NCAA scoring record, previously held by LSU's Pete Maravich.

Clark also led Iowa to three consecutive Big Ten Tournament titles (2022-24) and back-to-back trips to the National Championship Game (2023 and 2024). The Fever selected Clark with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Per Scott Agness of Fieldhouse Files , Clark's image on Berry's car is part of her deal with Panini. The Brickyard 400 is scheduled for Sunday, July 21 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

It's fitting that Clark's image will appear on the No. 4 car, as driver Josh Berry is also in his rookie season on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit. The 23-year-old has participated in 21 with races with four finishes in the top-10 and two finishes inside the top-five.

Clark is enjoying a strong rookie campaign in Indianapolis. She's averaging 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and a league-leading 7.8 assists per contest through 25 games. She's also averaging 1.5 steals.

Clark was also named a WNBA All-Star in her first season with the Fever. After an outstanding start to the season, she was named the league's Rookie of the Month in May.

You'll be able to catch the Brickyard 400 on Sunday, July 21 at 2:30 p.m. ET with the race airing on NBC.

Ford, Toyota, General Motors among 57,000 vehicles recalled: Check car recalls here

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued  multiple recalls  last week, including notices for more than 30,000 Ford Mustangs over potential loss of steering control .

Here is what to know about the vehicle recalls published by  NHTSA  from June 30 to July 6.

Ford recalls: More than 30,000 Mustangs over potential loss of steering control

Toyota recalls head rests that may be removed

Toyota is recalling 11,418 of its vehicles. The automotive manufacturer said the head restraints on the driver and front passenger seats may be removed without pressing the lock release button. A helmet that is not securely fastened can come loose or detach, increasing the risk of injury during a crash, the NHTSA report said.

The government agency said these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 202, "Head Restraints."

To fix this issue, Toyota dealers will replace the driver and front passenger seat headrest assemblies for free. Recall notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 27. Owners may contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 24LB06 and 24LA06.

General Motors recall for fuel pump being improperly secured

General Motors (GM) is recalling 8,622 of its 2024 Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon vehicles. The automotive manufacturer said the lock ring that secures the fuel pump to the fuel tank assembly may not have been locked fully. As a result, this can cause a fuel leak during a crash. When a fuel leak happens near an ignition source, it increases the risk of a fire, according to the NHTSA report.

To fix the issue, dealers will inspect and fully lock the fuel tank lock ring. This service will be completed for free. Notification letters are expected to be sent out on Aug. 13. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or the GMC Customer Call Center at (888) 988-7267. GM's number for this recall is N242451330.

Ford recalls

Loss of steering control for tie rod failure.

Ford is recalling 2,605 of its 2025 F-Super Duty F-650 and F-750 vehicles. The automobile manufacturer said the front axle tie rod assemblies may have ball studs that have been heat-treated incorrectly. This can cause them to break and possibly cause a tie rod failure. If a tie rod fails, a driver can lose control of the steering and increase the risk of a crash, the NHTSA report said.

For free, dealers will inspect and replace the front axle tie rod assembly as needed. Owner notification letters are expected to be delivered by Aug. 13. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S42.

Windshield detachment

Ford is recalling 4,361 of its 2024 F-150 vehicles. In the NHTSA report , the automobile manufacturer said the windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle which can cause it to detach during a crash. A vehicle's windshield that detaches during a crash can increase the risk of injury.

The government agency also said that these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 212, "Windshield Mounting."

As a resolution, Ford dealers will remove, replace, and reinstall the windshield for free. Recall notification letters are expected to be sent on July 8. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24C20.

Lost steering wheel control

Ford is recalling its 30,735 2022-2023 Ford Mustang vehicles. In the NHTSA report , the automobile manufacturer said the secondary steering torque sensor may not be calibrated properly. This can cause the steering wheel to turn side to side despite the driver's direction. If a steering wheel turns unintentionally, it can cause a driver to lose control of the vehicle and increase the risk of a crash.

Ford dealers will update the affected vehicle's power steering control module software for free. Recall notification letters are expected to be delivered by Aug. 5. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 24S44.

Ford is launching an all-electric Puma EV: Here’s what we know so far

An all-electric Ford Puma is expected to arrive by the end of this year. Based on the new Ford Puma, the EV version is expected to start at under $40,000 with distinct elements to help it stand apart.

The Ford Puma “Gen-E” will sit under the Mustang Mach-E, Explorer Electric , and new Capri EV in Ford’s growing EU electric vehicle lineup.

Ford’s Puma was the best-selling car in the UK last year, so it only makes sense for an all-electric version.

Ford is converting the best-selling car to an all-electric compact SUV. The EV model is expected to retain some of the updated features found on the new Puma but with distinct styling.

The new Ford Puma , introduced earlier this year, has a tech-loaded interior design. Its new wrap-around sports car-style cockpit includes a 12.8″ digital display and 12″ infotainment screens.

Ford also included its SYNC 4 connectivity and infotainment system, which has twice the computing power of the previous system. The system includes voice recognition and AppleCar Play/ Android Auto support for easy integration.

What to expect from the new Ford Puma EV

The EV model is expected to include new badging and headlights. It will also have a closed grille and redesigned front bumper to improve efficiency and range.

Unlike the Explorer and Capri EVs, the electric Puma won’t ride on Volksewagen’s MEB platform. Instead, it will be based on the same platform as the gas-powered model.

The same underpinnings power the Ford Transit Courier and electric E-Transit Courier. Ford converted the E-Transit Courier with a single 134 hp (100 kW) electric motor. Other powertrain options include a 215 hp unit used for Ford’s E-Transit Custom or the dual (181 hp + 265 hp) electric motors used for the larger E-Transit.

Ford’s new Puma EV will likely include similar powertrain options. With an expected 50 to 60 kWh battery, the Puma EV should get at least 250 miles range.

The electric Puma will follow the Capri EV, revealed last week. Ford’s new Capri EV features up to 390 miles (627 km) WLTP range with “sports car” performance.

Ford hopes the new range of electric SUVs will help revamp the brand in Europe as it loses ground overseas.

Nascar driver's brickyard 400 car features a giant caitlin clark photo on the hood, share this article.

Caitlin Clark is going to be at the NASCAR Cup Series race this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Well, sort of.

The Indiana Fever rookie will be featured on Josh Berry’s No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford paint scheme with a giant photo of her on the hood. In the photo, Clark is wearing an Iowa Hawkeyes uniform seemingly about to shoot the ball with her name and “Raining 3s” written behind her.

Berry’s primary sponsor for Sunday’s Brickyard 400 is Panini America, which is highlighting its trading cards as part of the new Caitlin Clark Collection. While Clark herself will likely be busy this weekend for the WNBA All-Star weekend in Phoenix , she’ll be well represented at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
