An Evolution of the Codecasa 45s

Codecasa 50s Framura 3

Codecasa has just launched its first Codecasa 50s, Framura 3. She’s a 164-foot open design that evolved from the Codecasa 45s, which the owner currently has for sale while awaiting delivery of his newer, bigger superyacht.

Framura 3 is expected to have a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots, driven by triple 2,600-hp MTU 16V 2000 M94s paired with KaMeWa water jets and a KaMeWa central booster. She’s built completely of aluminum, making her relatively lightweight and enhancing her speed. And she’ll have a Ship Dynamics gyro-stabilizer system for comfort at sea.

Andre Bacigalupo did the naval architecture, while Della Role handled interiors for Framura 3. The yacht will accommodate 12 guests in six staterooms with additional cabins for nine crew.

Codecasa Launches Superyacht Framura 3

Codecasa Shipyards has proudly announced the recent launch of the 50m motor yacht Framura 3, the flagship of the Codecasa Sport series which includes the Codecasa 35s, the Codecasa 41s and the Codecasa 45s.

The launching took place at the new Codecasa production facility in the Darsena dei Navicelli in Pisa and is scheduled for delivery later this month. The Interiors were designed by Anna Maria and Franco Della Role, who for two years have been working closely with the Owner’s personal Interior Designer.

Framura 3 seems to be an excellent synthesis of opposites, both from the technical and architectonic point of view. The exteriors have solid and aggressive and yet light and sinuous lines. The remarkable technical performances and the top speed of 28 knots, assured by the 3 MTU 16V 2000 M94 marine engines, 2600 HP each, coupled with two water jets and one booster by Kamewa, match with the absolute comfort thanks to a SHIP DYNAMICS gyroscopic zero speed stabilizer system.

The Interiors are very airy and bright and they are featured by simple geometry combined with precious materials. All lines are clean and essential thanks to the deletion of any superfluous details, without losing anyway their richness and refinement.

In any areas the contrast between light and dark dominates: in the spacious salon on the main deck as well as in the dining room on the upper deck, in the Owner’s Suite as well as in the five Guests’ Cabins, the light colour of the oak wood opposes to the dark colour of the wengé wood and the neutral tones of the fabric and upholstering materials are wisely brightened up by isolated touches of more intense colors, giving the whole space the right strength.

Superyacht 69-Spring 2021

Codecasa’s 55 metre “Framura” hit the   water in 2020. It is a pure and classic   motoryacht sporting a long lasting yacht building tradition and a logo which has   always been kept with no changes without ever giving way to racy   short lived trends.

The project design of the new 55 metre was drawn up by the in house design team handling the interiors and number C123. Like others it is named “Framura” and is preceded in chronologic order by 45 metre Construction F72 “Framura 2” renamed today as “Tenshi”   launched in 2010 and by 50 metre construction number C120 “Framura 3” three years later in 2013. A different yacht altogether from the two preceding ones belonging to the Open line initialled by Bacigalupo. Both versions are equipped with Ka.Me.Wa. water jets which push the top speed up to 30 knots while the new 55 metre model is a more classic displacing motor yacht with four decks, more traditional in line shafts and twin Caterpillar engines which propel it to an estimated top speed of 17 knots.

In this more subdued version “Framura” offers great on board comfort offering guests elegant and welcoming surroundings and atmosphere thanks to the owner’s architect of choice. The interiors feature sober classic coloured patterns which without being dull are relaxing and bright. The yacht’s cruising range is expected to be of approximately 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. “Framura” sports a lovely owner suite on the main deck, a VIP suite and four guest cabins situated along the lower deck. Both living rooms are bright with natural light. A formal one is situated along the main deck, comprising a bar, dining area and a sea view lounge along the upper deck and movie theatre, coffee and gaming tables.

The exterior decor has not been overlooked. The cockpit situated on the main deck has loads of room in which to relax. It is furnished with comfortable seats and low tables partly protected from direct sunlight thanks to the main deck’s overhang. Instead the upper deck offers a large dining area aft in the stern end which comprises two sofas and a breathtaking sea view away from curious prying eyes.

The sun deck is dedicated to tan fans but not only. Part of it is shut off and dedicated to host a gym equipped with air conditioning, the stern section is expressly dedicated to sun bathing and the segment in the bow of the same deck sports a generous Jacuzzi tub.

So as to offer five star service and equal comfort “Framura” has six crew cabins with twin beds and the captain’s cabin which has direct access to the modern helm controls station.

Codecasa launches superyacht Framura 3

Just before the launch of the second hull in the 42m Vintage series , Codecasa launched its largest open superyacht ever built on June 22, Framura 3 . Now we can bring you bring pictures of the high-performance Framura 3 in action!

Built in aluminium, the 49.9m Framura 3 (hull C.120) is the first Codecasa 50s, successor of Framura 2 (now renamed Tenshi ), a Codecasa 45s launched in 2010. Like most of the creations of Andrea Bacigalupo, she is designed for high performance. Framura 3 is powered by triple 2,600hp MTU engines with KaMeWa waterjets, giving an impressive top speed of 28 knots and a range of 1,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 18 knots.

Setting her apart from her predecessors at Codecasa, Framura 3 is a real tri-deck, offering more space inside. The interior, revealed one year ago , is styled by Anna Maria and Franco Della Role and accommodates 12 guests in a master, VIP, double and three twin cabins.

Framura 3 will be delivered to her repeat Codecasa's client this summer.
