The Slavic-Anglo-American School “Marina” (SAAS “Marina”) was opened in 1990 in Moscow. Education is conducted according to basic programs of secondary school, students receive certificates of secondary education of the Russian sample. The school has a license and state accreditation of the Department of Education of Moscow as a secondary school with in-depth study of a foreign language (English).

SAASH "Marina" - one of the oldest private schools in Moscow, demonstrating consistently high performance of students for almost 30 years. Graduates enter the prestigious Russian and foreign universities. Much attention at school is paid to the creative development of students, a system of circles and sections is developed.

SAASH "Marina" - a permanent member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), has the official status of the International School. Teaching is conducted in Russian and English, from the 4th grade, the study of a second foreign language (German, Spanish or French) is introduced, and from the 8th grade - the third foreign language. In elementary school (grades 1-4), instruction is given in the basic general education program of elementary general education with in-depth study of the English language.

. In secondary school (grades 5–9), instruction is conducted on the same program with additional study of the second and third languages ​​to choose from.

The initiative of the school was the competition of design and research works "Fair of Ideas in the South-West" (held since 2003). Since 2002, students of SAASH “Marina” have taken part in the design and research competition of the Silicon Valley Science and Technology Championship - the prestigious American competition of projects in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics, in the international Indian Olympiad “Quanta” in physics, chemistry , biology, computer science, mathematics. Among the internal activities of the school are the “Festival of Science”, the “Oratorio tournament”, which have become traditional events for students of grades 3-11, parents and graduates of previous years.

The teaching staff was selected among the leading subject teachers, primary school teachers, and the invited specialists are teachers of elite Moscow universities. The teaching staff includes Russian and foreign teachers. The academic year at school begins traditionally on September 1, lasts 33-34 weeks, is divided into 4 quarters:

• I - September-October;
• II - November-December;
• III - January-March;
• IV - April-May.

After the end of each quarter, vacations are provided (autumn and spring - 1 week, winter - 10 days, summer - 3 months, except for 9 and 11 classes).

Schoolchildren study at the 5-day school week, Saturday is the day of educational activities: competitions, excursions, competitions, public events.

Beginning of classes - at 9 o'clock, the end of 8 lessons in high school - at 16.25.

On admission to the 1st grade, the child is interviewed; parents provide the following documents:

• statement of parents (legal representatives) about enrollment in the first class;
• a copy of the birth certificate of the child;
• medical certificate confirming that the child has no contraindications for health reasons;
• a copy of the compulsory health insurance policy.

When enrolling in educational programs of the basic general and secondary general education, the child is tested in basic subjects, as well as an interview. Parents submit documents:

• a copy of the child’s birth certificate (passport copy);
• the personal file of the child, executed in the prescribed manner;
• state document on basic general education;
• a copy of the compulsory health insurance insurance policy;
• statement of marks in all subjects or a diary with marks on the basis of intermediate certification, stamped and signed by the director of the educational institution.
