We have job listings across all departments such as the Bridge, Deck, Interior, Engineering, and the Galley. DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONS?

A First Mate with a 100 ton license is required to join this 38m in Florida asap. The ideal candidate will have a green card or be a US citizen.

38m Private

Chief officer.

This vessel is currently in the shipyard and will not have a summer season. After the yard period is completed, it will probably do the Bahamas and then the Med.

47m Private

$ 7000 - $8000, engineering, 2nd engineer.

This 85m+ vessel, is currently looking for a strong 2nd engineer to join them on board asap. The ideal candidate will already have e at least 3 years yachting experience and will already have held this same position showing longevity.

85m Private

This 50m private vessel is currently in Spain and will be heading to Turkey pretty soon. They are looking for an experienced 2nd engineer to join them on a seasonal basis to begin with, but this could very well become permanent if both parties are happy.

50m Private

Temporary/permanent, 3800 - 4500 euros, 3rd engineer.

A 3rd engineer is required to join this 90m private vessel in the middle of July. The ideal candidate will already have at least 3 years yachting experience and have a Commercial OOW or Y3 ticket in hand.

90m Private

Chief engineer y1.

This vessel is currently looking for a strong Y1 engineer who ideally will also have some IT/Electrical know how.

65m Private

Head pastry chef.

We are seeking a skilled and highly experienced pastry chef to lead and manage a team including pastry chefs, bakers, cake artists and ancillary staff (stewards, etc.)

5000 - 7000 GBP

We are looking for a top class, mature and highly experienced sole chef. You MUST be trained and experienced in all styles of food especially in French.

37m Private

$6000 - $7000, head of housekeeping.

The ideal candidate must have excellent management and housekeeping skills as they are responsible for the daily management of the interior.

100m+ Private/charter

5000 - 5300 euros, lead housekeeping stewardess.

The ideal candidate must have an excellent understanding of the housekeeping department and have the management skills to match.

3400 - 4300 euros

3 x lead service stewardesses.

The ideal candidates will have an excellent understanding of the service department and will have management skills to match.

2 X SERVICE HOUSEKEEPING STEWARDESSES

The ideal candidates will have excellent service skills and will be able to follow the daily procedures set out in the standard practice procedure manuals and any other tasks delegated by the head service/ lead service or chief stew.

3000 - 3400 euros

Senior spa tech housekeeper.

The Senior Spa/Housekeeper will assist the spa manager with the running of the spa as well as helping in housekeeping when required

2 x HAIRDRESSER HOUSEKEEPERS

The Hairdresser/Housekeepers should complete housekeeping duties as by the lists laid out by Head Housekeeper/Second Housekeeper.

SPA TECH HOUSEKEEPER

The primary duty of the Spa tech is to provide a high standard of spa treatments to the guests when required and to be able to function confidently in the spa with beauty treatments, massages.

100M+ Private

3000 - 3500 euros, head housekeeper with admin skills.

This very well known vessel is currently looking for a senior deckhand/carpenter to join them in June. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years yachting experience behind them already, preferably on larger vessels.

100m Private/charter

3400 - 3600 euros.

This very well known vessel is currently looking for 1 deckhand to join them in July. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years yachting experience behind them already, preferably on larger vessels and a trade background will be a huge plus.

3000 - 3300 euros

Deck carpenter australia.

The perfect candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience and would be someone with a trade background with some experience on similar-sized yachts.

Role Description:

The EMEA Loan Documentation Team sits within Global Market Loan Operations and is based in London. The team primarily supports the Global Credit and Special Situations Group (GCSS) in our Global Markets Business. GCSS is a strategic trading desk that trades loans, claims, bonds and equities. The EMEA Loan Documentation Team supports the trading desks located in London and Hong Kong for all loans, claims and private equity trades that require documentation. The GCSS desk will typically trade loans on Par and Distressed documentation on both LMA and LSTA terms and conditions. As well as GCSS the Loan Documentation Team also provides support to Leverage Finance Desk in the support and coordination of Primary sell downs.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to self-manage a portfolio of cross desk trades across different product lines.
• Responsible for preparing, negotiating and agreeing loan trade documentation with the trading desk, Legal and clients. Typically this will be on LMA & LSTA trading terms and conditions.
• Comprehensive and extensive review of documentation to ensure compliance with transfer, tax, legal eligibility criteria.     
• Managing par and distressed asset inventory and coordinating trade settlement with external counterparties. 
• Extensive client interaction (both internal and external), managing expectations for trade settlement.
• Responsible for ensuring transactions are completed within a timely manner.
• Involvement with departmental project work, including system platform enhancements and process review.
• Manage, annotate, report and escalate all exceptions to senior management, line of business and business supervisory.
• Work closely with other internal and external teams: Loan Servicing, Loan Settlements, Loan Corporate Actions, Legal, Compliance, Tax and Agent Banks

What we are looking for:

• Global Banking and Markets knowledge.
• A good level of understanding of the secondary loan trading market and the forms of documentation used including Loan Market Association guidelines familiarity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good attention to detail.
• Client facing experience and ability to conduct discussions with clients in a confident manner.
• Risk focussed and able to identify issues and escalate to management.
• Work well in a team environment and maintain focus to achieve the goals of the team and the business.
• Ability to interact positively and effectively with all levels of management and associates.
• Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills. 
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Self-motivated and willing to take on extended responsibility.

This phrase about AI not taking your job sounds smart — but is it true?

• An economist has said, "AI won't take your job, it's somebody using AI that will take your job."
• AI seems to be a positive for many workers, but some roles are more at risk of replacement.
• Experts advise skilling up and leaning into soft human skills as AI becomes embedded in work life.

You may have heard a version of the phrase, "AI won't take your job, it's somebody using AI that will take your job."

Economist Richard Baldwin said the phrase at the 2023 World Economic Forum's Growth Summit, and variations of it have been mentioned since as people discuss the potential impacts of AI.

Baldwin told BI he wasn't sure if he coined the phrase, but the message is that AI won't replace humans, but it will give those who embrace it an advantage in the workforce.

In the 12 months since Baldwin shared his perspective, interest in artificial intelligence has only increased. A recent survey by consulting firm Bain & Company found that 85% of the companies surveyed said adopting AI was a top-five priority.

As companies ramp up their AI offerings and begin restructuring their workforce, many are revisiting the question of whether AI will be a job killer or an enhancer.

While it's still the early days of AI, we asked experts to weigh in. Should you be more worried about losing your job to a human using AI or to the AI itself?

Workers already see the benefit of AI at this stage

Baldwin said that AI is like a lawn mower or a power drill — it makes your job easier but it doesn't replace the human behind it. Other experts seemed to share a similar mindset that it's not advanced enough to function without direction, and for the most part, it helps people do better at their jobs.

Jasmine Escalera, a career coach at LiveCareer said incorporating AI can help automate repetitive tasks and "free up time to focus on upskilling."

Matt Betts, a research and development lead at leadership consulting firm RHR International, says it helps create efficiency so that consultants can focus on more impactful work, like interacting with the client.

Data has shown a similar trend that AI has helped many workers produce high-quality work in a shorter amount of time.

One study by MIT and Stanford from 2023 found that access to AI increased productivity by 14% on average, with a 34% impact on new or lower-skilled workers. A Morgan Stanley report indicated that workers with multiple income streams who used generative AI to increase their productivity made 21% more on average than those who didn't.

AI may also be helping people land jobs. Career service LiveCareer surveyed 1,150 US workers in March and found that 85% of job seekers save time using AI for writing applications and 40% think AI improves their grammar, writing, and vocabulary.

The loss of some jobs is inevitable

AI has already redefined a number of roles and even if it doesn't take all jobs, it's bound to replace some.

IBM used to have 800 people working in HR and now has 60 because it was able to automate repetitive tasks, according to the company's marketing chief.

Klarna seems to be following a similar trajectory. The company said in a blog post in February that its AI assistant was doing the work of "700 full-time agents" after pumping the brakes on hiring.

OpenAI CTO Mira Murati also weighed in on the topic at a Dartmouth event on June 8 and turned heads when she said some creative jobs may disappear, but those that could be replaced by AI "shouldn't have been there in the first place."

Carl Benedikt Frey, a director of future and work at Oxford University, said that transportation and logistics are most likely to see outright automation moving forward. He also said warehousing, manufacturing, receptionists, cashiers, and translators are also roles that are moving toward automation or semi-automation.

It's a good idea to skill up

A March Goldman Sachs report found over 300 million jobs around the world could be impacted by AI. But it's impossible to predict how exactly they will change.

Career coach Escalera said the best path forward is to lean into human soft skills while skilling up and "adopting a mindset of continuous learning." For some who are hiring, AI is becoming a prerequisite.

Tripadvisor cofounder Steve Kaufer said on "The Logan Bartlett Show" that he asked candidates during interviews if they tried out new AI chatbots. He said software engineers who didn't experiment with AI tools usually didn't get the job.

"I just don't understand it," Kaufer said. "And I probably don't want to work with that individual."

CEO of global event company Empire Entertainment, J.B. Miller, said it's an "essential new skill set," especially in an industry that involves improvising. He said it cuts down time and helps with generating ideas for set designs and talent sourcing. He asks all new hires what AI tools they use.

"There's no world where I could employ somebody who's like, I don't know how to use Excel or I don't know how to navigate the internet or do an internet search or something online like that," Miller said.

"I think that the same is true of some of these basic, AI tools," he added.
