The Perros-Guirec water-sports centre provides tuition (from age 4 at the 'Jardin des mers' children's club), all year activities and equipment rental. Themed outings are also available: -Gastronomic-style picnics on the 7 Isles: once a week during the summer, the Ar Jentilez sets its course for the 7 Isles for a gastronomic picnic comprising exclusively local products. -Kayak trips: escorted by an approved instructor, take a 3 and a half hour trip along the Côte de Granit Rose (Pink Granite Coast).

Perros-Guirec is a city and seaside resort located in the protected natural site, in the middle of an unusual landscape on the Cote de Granite Rose (The Pink Granite Coast), the most beautiful coastline in the Brittany region . The area around the city is known for its magnificent and unusual rock formations, beautiful and long sandy beaches, interesting lighthouses made from the pink granite and an incredible old customs officers' path that leads all along the coast. In 2007, Perros-Guirec was elected the best seaside resort in Brittany , in a survey conducted by the French magazine “ Le Nouvel Observateur ”.

Three beaches

With two marinas and three large and sandy beaches, Perros-Guirec is the largest seaside resort on the Pink Granite Coast . No wonder, this place attracts so many visitors during the summer. The beach of Trestraou is perfect for catamaran, kayak and windsurfing lovers and perfectly suitable for families with children. This beach has more than one kilometer of fine sand, and it is especially popular for swimming and sunbathing, and you can find it only one kilometer from the city center. The beach of Trestrignel is perfectly protected from the wind, as the Pointe du Château, and the Pointe du Sphynx encircle it. On a clear day, from this beach, you can get a fantastic view over the archipelago of Sept-Îles. The third beach is the Saint-Guirec. Situated in the area of ​​Ploumanac'h, a pretty seaside village elected “the favorite French village” in 2015, this beach is where popular among visitors and has several clubs for children.

The emblems of the city

Perros-Guirec is known for its two emblems . The first ones are the puffins . These small marine birds with a colorful beak have the largest nestles colony in France, at the archipelago of the Sept-Îles. The second emblem of the city is a Hydrangea flower also known as a Hortensia . You can spot this beautiful flower in almost every garden in Perros-Guirec. The old customs officers' path.

From the Trestraou Beach in Perros-Guirec you can start hiking along the beautiful old customs officers' path (Le Sentier des Douaniers) in the middle of rocks with most amazing shapes. Some rocks, often improbably shaped and balanced in the incredible positions, look like a Napoleon hat, a bottle, a mushroom, or even a turtle! This path made in 1907 leads along the Pink Granite Coast and on your way you can spot a lot of interesting things, like the remains of the 17th-century coastal defenses and a beautiful lighthouse. The landscapes are changing radically according to the tides, so I recommend you to come back to Perros-Guirec at different tide times. This walk is easy and accessible for everyone, even for families with children. Mainly along minor roads, with some stretches on rural greenways with sandy surfaces that are easy to ride along.  Take care: 

• after Lannion, on the Servel road, where traffic can be busy and fast 
• crossing the RD21 road north of Trébeurden
• on the steep slope at the end of the stage, to be tackled with caution, in part as there's a Stop sign during the descent, before you arrive at the RD6 road

In the pre-stage meeting I told the team that I wanted to ride as if there was no stage tomorrow and give everything on the last climb. My teammates believed in me and rode as a block almost all day. We accelerated at the foot of the final climb with the aim of hurting the fastest riders, and we succeeded. When my teammate Devenyns opened up, I pulled away, opened up a gap and, seeing that everyone was at their limit, I continued to the finish. I attacked from a long way back, but that's how you get the most beautiful victories. I hope people enjoyed my victory, both from the side of the road and on TV, and I thank the fans for their support and encouragement.
