YYachts delivers new 30m flagship Bella

Yyachts abide by a single mantra - the simpler the boat, the purer the sailing experience, and the greater the pleasure….

German sailing yacht builders YYachts have delivered the first unit in its Y9 sailing yacht series. The yard's new 30m flagship Bella features design and naval architecture by Bill Tripp while the interior draws stylistic inspiration from the U.S. East Coast and mid-century Scandinavian influences.

YYachts abide by a single mantra - The simpler the boat, the purer the sailing experience, and the greater the pleasure. For this reason, their yachts are made to emphasize the essentials of sailing - easy handling, alone (if possible), anywhere in the world. The aim is really to use the best technology available to simplify and put the joy back into the hobby of sailing.

Norm Architects and Design Unlimited were both involved in this particular project for Bella’s interior layout and design. The vessel boasts some impressive space-saving features that help to allow for a separate owner’s apartment complete with an office, dressing room, bedroom and bathroom.

Bella features a hydro generation package sourced from Oceanvolt, as well as a hard top bimini which is noticeably covered by 14 square metres of solar panels and an extensive battery package. 

With regards to the performance of the yacht, Bella is equipped with twin Volvo engines and its main sail alone is roughly 242 square metres, the total sail area totals over 1000 square metres. Reports have revealed that on the yacht's maiden voyage, from Greifswald to Cannes, speeds of up 26 knots have already been clocked. Bella completed the journey from The Baltic Sea to The Mediterranean in less than 11 days.

YYachts delivers flagship Y9 sailing yacht Bella

German builder YYachts has delivered the first unit in its Y9 sailing yacht series named Bella. The yard's new flagship features design and naval architecture by Bill Tripp and measures 29.71 metres (97 feet) in length.

Bella is a performance cruiser built entirely in carbon fibre, and has been carefully designed to sail with as little as two crew.

Sail and rig settings are adjusted at the push of a button for maximum operational efficiency, while the mainsheet is centred on the bimini top. A secondary cockpit and helm station are positioned further aft.

The yacht’s maiden voyage from Greifswald to Cannes saw the sloop and its four crew test the mettle of its 242m 2 main sail together with a 617m 2 gennaker. On the passage, Bella reached a top speed of 26 knots.

One of the most innovative design features of the Y9 is a tender garage that sits across the stern, providing additional room for the private owner's apartment, comfortable guest cabins and a generous crew area. The garage on board Bella houses a carbon composite YTender catamaran.

Bella comes with a hydro generation package sourced from Oceanvolt , a hard top bimini covered with solar panels and an extensive battery package, meaning the yacht can generate renewable power either being moored or underway.

DESTINATIONS

BELLA  is available for charter along the Croatian coast, a natural paradise riddled with islands and islets, as well as boasting a millenary history, lively architecture, and rich and varied Mediterranean gastronomy.

ACCOMODATION & DECK AREAS

BELLA is able to accommodate up to 21 guests in her mesmerizing 10 cabins, catering to diverse groups with her array of cabins, layouts, and amenities. Notably, she boasts three master cabins, which is truly unique, distinguished by their spaciousness, luxurious design, and sophisticated smart home installations. These master cabins also feature en- suite bathrooms, with the added indulgence of in-cabin bathtubs. Additionally, the yacht provides two convertible cabins, along with two fixed twin cabins, two double cabins and one triple cabin. In the event of additional children in the group, the option of utilizing the children's playroom for their sleeping arrangements is also available.

Every cabin includes en suite bathroom and a spacious closet. The interior designer carefully hand-picked all materials, offering the luxury and comfort that can be found only in the best hotels. Wi-fi is available throughout the whole yacht, so in case you have to do some work, no email will be left unsent. Even though our staff is always happy to help and answer all your questions, you can find the oh so magical voice of Alexa in every cabin.

The interior of BELLA is a sight rarely seen on other yachts. The salon is bathed in natural light, thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The floors have a luxurious marble appearance, and a large dining table is surrounded by high-quality padded chairs. Two expansive sofas are strategically positioned to offer the best views of the surrounding scenery. Inside, you'll also find a bioethanol fireplace, a grand piano, and an additional cozy sofa where a large television can be found. Opposite this area, there is a fully stocked bar, which consistently provides guests with fresh drinks and cocktails. All together, this makes it one of the best salons in its category, ensuring top-notch entertainment for guests on board.

Besides her magnificent and well-lit salon, BELLA offers a spacious deck with a large dining table just a few meters away, allowing guests to indulge in incredible dishes while enjoying the fresh air. This outdoor dining experience is particularly convenient for evening dinners or breakfasts, providing an opportunity to savor breathtaking views of picturesque bays, serene pine forests, and charming old towns and villages. Guests can pamper their taste buds while also finding ample space for relaxation, lounging, reading a book, or letting children play freely.

The spacious teak sundeck of the yacht presents a lavish jacuzzi and pool, providing a serene space for all guests to relax while cruising amidst the awe-inspiring scenery. Padded sun loungers, cozy sofas, and a shaded seating area create the perfect ambiance for unwinding with a glass of wine or a refreshing beverage.

PERFORMANCE

Built with a GRP hull and GRP superstructure, BELLA offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. BELLA comfortably cruises at 8-12 knots.

The newly boosted water toy inventory makes BELLA STELLA the ultimate family yacht in Greece! The vast selection of toys among with other items such as the portable BBQ and the inflatable platform with sofa and chairs next to the pool promises unforgettable memories on board the yacht.

The very comfortable and accommodating seven guest cabin layout for up to 12 guests remains unique in her category and not easily surpassed by any other yachts in the area. The full beam master cabin is located on main deck with a sofa area and a full beam bathroom with a bathtub and a shower room as well as a vanity desk. She has six spacious and fully renewed cabins located on lower deck, four double and two twins.

The upper lounge areas offer comfortable seating perfect for quiet time; the mid-part has been transformed into a home cinema with a brand new plasma TV and new sound system making a perfect setting for lazy movie watching for all ages.

BELLA STELLA's exterior decks have also been refreshed and upgraded. The main deck aft has had a fixed sofa seating added tastefully decorated with same grey cushions and throw pillows to match and be in sync with the interior new design. Bella Description

The Bali 4.8 design was new to the market in 2020 and provided a fresh approach to sailing. The design is revolutionary in how space is accessed, with deliberate attention to flow and open space. It succeeds in producing a scale that feels less like a boat, and more like an upscale floating condominium. Bali catamarans are known and appreciated for their unparalleled success in blending luxury, space, and performance; producing a sailing experience that is unparalleled. This new design further capitalizes on that reputation with the advent of the “Bali garage door” that is the centerpiece of the yacht. It allows for the aft wall of the yacht to simply disappear, opening up the back of the yacht to an unobstructed view of paradise. This also affords indoor/outdoor dining options and gives the ever- present Caribbean breeze ample opportunity to make its way through the yacht with ease. With her solid foredeck gone are the forward trampolines, replaced by a large relaxing lounge area complete with cushions for sunbathing. A full- sized door provides access directly from the lounge area into the salon, allowing free movement through the yacht. A walk up to the flybridge unveils a seating area perfect for cocktails and taking in sunsets. There is also another area for sunbathing on the flybridge where you can take in the sights of the islands from the highest vantage point on the yacht. The Bali open space design is further complimented by the superior outfit of Bella. No detail has been left unnoticed from the fine linens, pillows and throws to the wine glasses, serving and flatware that make every day feel luxurious. She has been stocked full with every appliance and kitchen accessory to allow the chef to fully showcase the mastery of their art. And the water toys abound, allowing guests to fully experience all the Caribbean has to offer, both in and out of the water. Bella will accommodate 6 charter guests in 2 spacious queen cabins and 1 sprawling owners suite master cabin for those who desire more space. She has solar panels, air conditioning, water maker, ice maker, full-sized refrigerator, a fully customizable menu, Caribbean made eco-friendly and reef safe toiletries, a bar stocked to guest preference, coffee/espresso machine, rendezvous scuba diving, snorkeling gear, underwater scooters, sub wing, wakeboard, stand up paddle board / kayak, towable water tube, 10 ft. floating dock, pool noodles, fishing gear, board and card games, television in the salon, Fusion 3 Bluetooth enabled sound system and Bella giveaways.

JAMES James grew up in the British countryside on a farm. From a young age he was obsessed with anything and everything mechanical. He spent summers in his father´s Irish coastal hometown of Dungarvan and it was there that he developed a love for the ocean. He started a career in the luxury eyewear industry working for brands such as TAG Heuer and Calvin Klein, but eventually his love for the ocean won out and drew him toward a career in the yachting industry. He has worked for two years now as a charter captain in various locations including Croatia and French Polynesia. ELBSEGELEI - 2 or 4 hours sailing trips in Hamburg on the Elbe

Yachting-events, adventure and relaxation, sailing for all - including those with no sailing experience.

ELBSEGELEI offers guided, individual half-day and sunset sailing trips  on the Elbe in Hamburg / Germany. From Hamburg or Wedel to Blankenese, Stade, Glückstadt and back. A sailing experience for between two and   ten   fellow sailors (closed groups of up to 12 people) , who want to experience exciting moments on Germany's most beautiful, challenging and diverse river. Our professional skippers will take you along on a genuine sailing voyage aboard a modern 13-metre sailing yacht (Bavaria 42-3 cruiser).

With us , you can experience Hamburg and the Elbe up close in true maritime, sporting style! You can be as active or as passive as you like. A truly hanseatic experience , which has previously only been available to the owners of yachts on the Elbe between Hamburg and Helgoland!

Corporate Customers

For corporate customers and businesses, ELBSEGELEI offers four unique sailing events in Hamburg / Germany as individual teamevents, incentives, coaching / team-building (2 to 90 persons), and exclusive board meetings that give managers and your company the utmost privacy.

ELBSEGELEI also rents out its elegant, modern sailing yacht the "ZAANDAM" as a maritime event location,  accommodation and conference room at the foot of the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, in the heart of Hamburg's port. On board with us, you can expect the usual high standard of comfort, with service staff, catering if required, and restaurant recommendations in the immediate vicinity.

Programme for our sailing trips

Sailing times:  The ELBSEGELEI is here for you every day from March to October and is thus unique in this form in Hamburg. See dates

Voyage duration : Approx. 2,5 or  4 hours . If required, we can also offer shorter or multi-day trips, for example to Stade or Glückstadt. In order to ensure we are able to carry out the trip within a fixed time frame, we may need to use the engine, for example in calm conditions or if there is too much wind. 

Meeting point: City Sporthafen Hamburg (Landungsbrücken/Elbphilharmonie)

Sailing destinations , among others: Hamburger Hafen,  City Sporthafen Hamburg, Elbphilharmonie, Övelgönne, Teufelsbrück, Rüschkanal, Blankenese, Mühlenberger Loch, Schweinesand, Willkomm-Höft, Wedel, Hanskalbsand, Hetlinger Schanze, Lühe, Dwarsloch, Stade, Stader Sand, Haseldorfer Binnenelbe, Pagensand, Kollmar, Krautsand, Bielenberg, Rhinplatte, Glückstadt, Wischhafen.

Participants: 1 - 11 persons . The trip generally takes place with up to nine persons. Children aged 0 - 6: only when accompanied by parents. Guests aged 14 to 18: only with signed authorisation from a parent/guardian. 

Prerequisites: The ELBSEGELEI is basically happy to welcome anyone of any age. Nevertheless, the feasibility of our offering does depend a little on the constitutions of our guests, i.e. our fellow sailors. The basic prerequisites for our voyages are mobility, reasonably good sense of balance and not being afraid of the ship's movements. Each participant should be capable of swimming without assistance for 1-2 minutes.

Equipment and clothing:  You need to bring waterproof clothing, clean shoes with light soles, and depending on the weather a hat and sunglasses. Please wear trousers that don't have any rivets (jeans with the usual rivets on the seat pockets are not really suitable). 

Weather:  The sailing trip will not take place and will be rescheduled in case of thunderstorms, wind strength of more than 6-7 Bft.  or force majeure. In the case of thunderstorms or stormy weather, the tour will be interrupted or terminated. Otherwise, the sailing trip will take place in all weathers. The German Meteorological Office (DWD) helps us plan with greater certainty. 

Services:  A sailing voyage. Life jackets provided on loan. Instructions for the ship, navigation, meteorology and safety. Participants may steer and sail the ship themselves. Experienced, professional skipper. Drinks are available on board for a small fee.

The yacht: Bavaria 42-3. Naturally, our sailing yacht boasts a ship safety certificate from BG Verkehr (the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for Commercial Transport, Postal Logistics and Telecommunication), a ship's crew certificate and various commercial insurances.  

Skipper: Among others: Holger Brauns, owner and skipper of the Elbsegelei and a passionate sailor of 40 years. Qualifications include SKS (coastal pleasure craft driving licence), SRC (short range certificate) and SBF See (pleasure craft driving licence). In addition, participant in German sailing championships, international championships and European championships.
