Capturing Classic, Romantic Love Stories
Down the Jersey Shore + Beyond
From the moment that Liz contacted us, I felt such a connection to her and the love story that her and Steve share! Over the past year, we’ve had the great joy of getting to know them both. We had the absolute best time during their Longwood Gardens engagement session over the summer. Getting to know them together was amazing. It was awesome to see how easily Liz curls into Steve’s arms, how he makes her laugh, and when she smiles at him, how his face just lights up. You could truly feel the love. So, naturally, we couldn’t wait for their Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding, so that we could capture that love between them once more!
Classic Details and Bride Getting Ready
When I saw Liz’s Watters dress that she purchased from BHLDN, I was just in “awe”. It was so simple, beautiful, and that little hint of blush just made me swoon! She had such beautiful details to compliment her dress, as well as the most gorgeous flowers!! She was so lucky to have a family friend who also works with one of my all time favorite florists! Darlene really outdid herself!
Groom Getting Ready
Meanwhile, Steve and his men were getting all dapper, waiting for the ceremony to start! Before they left the house, though, they made sure to have a Crown Royal toast in honor of Steve’s grandfather. It was such a sweet moment.
The Story of Liz and Steve
It was March 14th, 2015. Liz’s girlfriends called her up an asked her to come out for drinks. She reluctantly said yes, and that decision changed her life forever. A very drunk patron attempted to his on all of the girls at the same time. He was very unsuccessful, but the guys sitting next to them found it very amusing. After a few hours of trading jokes and occasional conversation, the bar got crowded, and it was time to leave.
To Liz’s surprise, Steve asked for her number. (She had thought he was originally hitting on one of her friends). They went out on a date a week later, and three days after that he cooked her a beautiful dinner after a rough day at work. There was never one moment, one look, one instance – they just grew together and didn’t want to be apart.
In October of 2017, while standing on a cliff overlooking the harbor in Maine, Stephen proposed! Liz, of course, said YES!
Emotional Ceremony at St. Augustine Church in Ocean City
Shooting at St. Augustine Church in Ocean City is always such a pleasure! We are always greeted with such warm smiles and the ability to move around as we please. (Obviously not going on the alter though) One of my favorite parts of the church is the balcony! It’s great to be able to get the full wide perspective of the church with all the guests down below! Plus, if the priest happens to be standing in front of the couple during their first kiss, it gives a different perspective! 🙂
Bridal Party Photography on the Beach in Ocean City
1… 2… 3… Open your eyes! There was a lot of that going on during our bridal party photos on the beach in Ocean City! But, with a gorgeous sunny day, that is just something that has to happen to create such gorgeous photos! Thank you to everyone for being such great sports!! I am so thankful that we were able to capture these beautiful images for the wonderful couple!
Ocean City Bride and Groom Portraits
Oh, Liz and Steve… You were such a joy to capture! You made our “jobs” so darn easy. Lets just do this again every year, ok? Haha! I truly believe that since we had your engagement session, you two became professionals at this “being in love and taking photos” thing. You really rocked it… from the boards, to the bike to just snuggling on the rocks… these are some of my favorite photos!
Ocean City Yacht Club Bride & Groom Sunset Photos
Once arriving at the Ocean City Yacht Club, we had to take advantage of their docks out back! I love the choppy waters and the beautiful sun… but nothing shined brighter than the love that these two share!
A Fun Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding Reception
This was our very first Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding, and just, wow! The ballroom was so beautiful, and much larger than I had imagined! Plus, the bay-view panoramic windows were the icing on the cake! Being able to see the remains of the orange sunset behind Liz and Steve during their first dance was just everything!

Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding of Gillian & Ryan
Gillian & Ryan had an absolutely perfect Ocean City Yacht Club wedding ! I met Gillian a while back and she was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed about a month earlier. She did an incredible job with her planning and timeline so her day ran smooth like butter. The girls started out in a rented house in Ocean City just off the boardwalk. After photographing all her beautiful details it was time to head over to meet Ryan for the couple’s first look on the wedding day.
We photographed the couple and the bridal party on the beach very close to where their Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding was going to take place. They looked amazing on the rock jetty and with a small set of small catamaran sailboats that were on the beach ready to be launched.
Ceremony & Reception: Ocean City Yacht Club Florist: The Manic Botanic Bride’s Dress: Irma’s Bridal
Ocean City Beach Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place on the public beach in Ocean City and all the beachgoers were in awe of the wonderful exchange of vows. Beach weddings are amazing. The fact that you are barefoot shooting a wedding always feels unreal to me! One other side note that I promise to take some random photographs of strangers on the beach and slip them into your proofs for a laugh.
Ocean City Yacht Club Wedding Reception
The reception was at The Ocean City Yacht Club overlooking the bay. Their guests loved the music and were ready to party until the very last second of their reception. If you can I highly suggest to go outside for a few night photographs. The docks lit up at night are incredible! I had an amazing day with Gillian and Ryan and we created an stunning album for them. Best wishes!

Chamber of Commerce Celebrates 100th Anniversary
By MADDY VITALE
The Ocean City Yacht Club was transformed into a night of excitement and celebration Friday in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce.
The Yacht Club sold out and the who’s who from dignitaries to business owners to longtime residents enjoyed a night of dancing, dinner and drinks to finally be able to celebrate the century of the Chamber, albeit on the 101st year.
The event was initially scheduled for May of 2020 and then again in the fall of 2020, however, COVID-19 led to the postponements.
But Friday night made up for lost time.
“Tonight is a remarkable night for the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce. One hundred years, not many people can tout that in other towns,” Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Michele Gillian said in an interview. “This is America’s Greatest Family Resort. We live it and we love it.”
During opening remarks, Gillian thanked the many people who helped bring the event together and also gave shout-outs to former past and present dignitaries in the audience.
Members of the Chamber who planned the event were as follows; former Mayor Roy Gillian, Michele Gillian, Chamber 1st Vice President Janet Galante, and board members Patrick Halliday and Patrick McMahon.
Chamber President David Allegretto said in his remarks that it is an honor for him to continue to serve as president. He spoke of the importance of the monumental milestone the Chamber has reached.
“There are many great moments in over 100 years in history,” Allegretto said. “The one at the top is the slogan, America’s Greatest Family Resort, from the Chamber. The Chamber works tirelessly and it has been a pleasure for me to work with such great people.”
The organization was formed from the Board of Trade in 1920.
In February of 1920, the Delaware and Atlantic Telegraph Company met with the Board of Trade and offered the use of the second floor of the Massey and Edwards building, at Eighth and Wesley, to establish an Information and Publicity Bureau.
“Ocean City Chamber of Commerce – Bureau of Information” was placed on the door at the entrance of the building, according to a Chamber release.
On April 24, 1920, the Chamber Emblem Committee recommended the following as the official emblem of the Chamber: “The emblem, a circle within a circle, the upper half reading “America’s Greatest Family Resort” and the lower “Chamber of Commerce,” across the center on two lines “Ocean City, New Jersey.”
The Chamber has more than 535 members. The membership is comprised of small independent businesses and organizations that offer Ocean City visitors and residents a variety of products and services.
Over the years, the Chamber has grown into an organization that has become a leader in marketing the Ocean City area and an advocate for the business community.
The Chamber is also a supporter of key community events and their partnership with the city has been in place since the inception.
Ocean City Councilman Terry Crowley Jr. said the event was a phenomenal example of a strong Chamber and community.
“Obviously, it is a great event and kudos to all the volunteers who put it together,” Crowley said. “Closing out a year of COVID, not being able to do good things, people are anxious to get back and embrace a great night out.”

8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In
FoodfindsAsia.com | 8 Yacht Clubs and Marinas in the Philippines to Moor Your Boat In | Filipinos’ history as a maritime people date back to prehistoric times. In fact, the Philippines’ basic sociopolitical unit today, the barangay, traces its etymological origins to the balangay , the ancient outrigger boats that were used by precolonial Filipino communities to explore and conquer islands this side of the Pacific. As a people belonging to a seafaring culture, it’s no wonder that modern Filipinos are taking a retrospective look at their glorious past as Austronesian mariners and are developing a renewed love for the ocean and marinas as present-day yachtsmen.
Today, Philippine marinas look to accommodate more and more yachts and other pleasure watercrafts as the years go by. In 2017, an ASEAN Briefing op-ed piece named the Philippines as a country with high potential in yacht industry growth. The natural beauty of the Philippine islands and its fantastic bays, combined with a growing interest in leisurely sea travel, can explain the spike in yachting activities throughout the country.
Are you part of the demographic that’s become enamored of the yachting lifestyle? Do you want to know where in the country you can berth your watercraft? Leading sailboat and motorboat authority Europa Yachts is happy to enter the conversation, and recommends the following locations for discovering the Philippines through yachting. Here is a short list of clubs and marinas in the country, organized by island region.
Manila Yacht Club and Marina, Manila, Metro Manila
Established in 1927, the Manila Yacht Club and Marina is one of the oldest yacht clubs in all of Asia, and is nestled in the scenic Manila Bay. It is also near other well-known landmarks in the city, such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the headquarters of the Philippine Navy, and the US Embassy. Facilities in the marina include a launching ramp and a fueling center, and the club itself is host to a restaurant and gorgeous function rooms. The Manila Yacht Club only welcomes visitors who arrive by boat, and it charges an initial security deposit of USD 750 upon arrival. Club membership is mandatory for medium and long-term mooring of boats.
Subic Bay Yacht Club, Zambales
The Subic Bay Yacht Club, which was founded in 1998, upholds itself as the country’s premier yacht club. It operates in the deepest bay in the country, and can host vessels well beyond 50 meters in length. Already benefitting from the innate beauty of the Zambales mountains surrounding it, the club hosts a number of other attractions, including its luxury accommodations, swimming pools, and its own movie theater, bowling alley, and nightclub. Those who venture outside of the club’s premises can also shop for well-priced imported goods at the Subic Freeport Zone, engage in water sports , or sign up for diving excursions.
Punta Fuego Yacht Club, Batangas
Peaceful Punta Fuego is a mecca for those who love the sport of sailing. As per its official website, the Punta Fuego Yacht Club aims to serve “a dynamic and vibrant community of boat enthusiasts and yacht owners.” This it does by playing host to a diverse population of watercrafts, from large catamarans and mono-hull yachts to small boats. Non-members of the club may use the berths for up to 3 weeks, and can refuel at the marina’s fueling station. The yacht club offers other amenities such as locker rooms, shower rooms, Internet facilities, a chart room, and a restaurant called Barracuda Bar, which serves delicious fares. Outside of the yachting crowd, Punta Fuego Yacht Club also caters to those wishing to celebrate weddings, conferences, and corporate events in their opulent quarters.
Puerto Galera Yacht Club, Oriental Mindoro
Further south, yachtsmen may moor at the Puerto Galera Yacht Club in Oriental Mindoro, an island location that’s home to tourist attractions like the Sabang Wreck dive site, lively beachfront resorts, and the Malasimbo Music Festival. Puerto Galera Yacht Club has been in operation for almost thirty years and lends services such as refueling provisions and yacht repairs from its marina. Boat owners also enjoy optimal convenience if mooring here, as they can also shop for spare parts in the nearby Batangas port.
Busuanga Yacht Club, Puerta del Sol Bay Marina, Palawan
Beautiful Palawan is a bucket-list destination for many, especially those who dream of cruising its crystalline waters. Accommodating the yachting community in this island province is the Busuanga Yacht Club, which promises secure mooring amidst breathtaking white-sand beaches. Here, each vessel will benefit from a typhoon-safe harbor, easy refueling, and direct access to transportation hubs like the New Busuanga Airport. Adjoining this marina is the Puerta del Sol Bay Resort, which offers luxurious accommodations to visitors. When not atop the deck of a boat, travelers can also explore the lagoons and freshwater lakes of Coron, go shipwreck diving, or relax in the hot springs of Maquinit.
Iloilo Sailing Club, Arevelo, Iloilo City, Iloilo
Iloilo Province is home to some of the country’s most beautiful old-world architecture, a flourishing ecotourism industry, and delectably fresh seafood cuisine. What will round off an unforgettable visit to Iloilo, however, is an excursion to the Iloilo Sailing Club on a leisure watercraft. The club accepts visitors and encourages membership in the case of medium and long-stay mooring. It also hosts a number of amenities and activities, including a dinghy storage, a beach bar and restaurant, and classes for those who want to learn about sailing. In recent months, the Iloilo Sailing Club has also been a convenient meet-up point for big maritime events, such as the Iloilo-Guimaras Paraw Regatta and the Seafarers’ Job Fair.
Cebu Yacht Club, Mactan Island, Cebu
The historic Mactan Island in Cebu was the site of Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan’s arrival in the Philippines. Now known as a commercial hub that hosts a prolific furniture and musical instruments industries, Mactan is also the location of the Cebu Yacht Club, an institution that is beloved by the locals. Aside from being an ideal spot to restock on much-needed fuel and supplies, the Cebu Yacht Club is also a trusted club to commission for boat repairs. There’s a good vibe in this club for everybody, as it sports both luxury accommodations and a waterfront strip of restaurants that laid-back diners can frequent. MINDANAO
Holiday Oceanview Marina, Samal Island, Davao del Norte
The Holiday Oceanview Marina is a major attraction of Samal Island in Davao del Norte Province, one that welcomes Filipino and foreign yachtsmen alike to moor within its premises. The space is quite roomy, in fact, with 56 berths that can fit vessels up to 15 meters in length. The club also has a boat ramp that can accommodate boats up to 18 meters in length. The well-guarded and weather-safe marina is a gateway to some of Mindanao’s finest attractions, such as the Pearl Farm, Hagimit Falls, and Giant Clam Sanctuary.
There’s no better way to discover the Philippines from end to end than getting onboard a seaworthy vessel and going on a long cruise, with stops in some of the most beautiful places in the country. Find a safe harbor in any of these major clubs and marinas, and participate in the renaissance of sailing in the Philippines.
