Facilities and Capacity.

The Mallard Island Yacht Club is nestled west of Long Beach Island, with an extensive dock leading into the bay for oceanside photo sessions. Boathouse Chapel is the designated ceremony venue, which features floor-to-ceiling windows for plenty of natural light and sea views. Its high ceiling is adorned with metal beams, which can be easily customized with your preferred drapery. The couple will exchange vows with a backdrop of a large natural-stone fireplace and mantle, basking in the light of an elegant crystal chandelier. For receptions, the Ballroom can host up to 250 guests for a fun-filled evening. Its detailed chandeliers and grand architecture adds a classic touch to any couple’s theme. French doors open to the venue’s scenic atrium and outdoor plaza, modeled after the Rathskeller’s Gothic Architecture to make you feel like you’re time-traveling. The venue has two separate get-ready suites, for the soon-to-be-weds to prepare with their respective entourages. The 3,000-square-foot penthouse occupies the entire fourth floor, and is fully equipped with an in-suite salon, leather chairs, and a relaxing rainfall shower. Their second dressing suite is created from restored army barracks, and is an ideal space for history enthusiasts. The property has full wheelchair accessibility, to ensure that all your guests can enjoy your special day.

Tables, chairs, and various décor will be provided by the onsite staff, and will handle the set-up and tear down while you focus on the important things. The team’s event coordinator will work to make sure everything goes according to plan, and that the venue matches your ideal vision. High school sweethearts, Monika Schule (28, a neonatal nurse practitioner) and Jeffrey Reisenauer (28, a NYPD police officer) fell in love with their Jersey Shore wedding venue, Mallard Island Yacht Club, thanks to it's endless opportunities for scenic photo backdrops. "It's the perfect blend of opulence and seaside comfort—the type of place where it feels right to walk barefoot in the sand with your ball gown on," says Monika. Channeling that vibe, the couple decided on a "nautical elegance" aesthetic for their summer wedding by the sea. They used a color scheme of French blue and champagne—a sophisticated twist on the typical nautical color palette—to pull it all off. Sweet, personalized details like the custom copper camargue cross that hung above the altar space during the ceremony and the "amperSAND" that connected their chairs at the reception were just a few of the things that made Monika and Jeff's day truly theirs.

Overnight and 5 hour rental packages, plan your perfect wedding, two rental options to suit your needs.

Mallard Island Yacht Club has a site fee to reserve the estate and a separate fee from the exclusive caterer for all food and beverage.  For the site fee you have two options to reserve the estate, renting the entire estate or renting the estate for a five-hour event plus the onsite ceremony in the Boathouse Chapel. The site fee includes use of the estate, the tables and chairs that are in the Ballroom for your reception, and the chapel if you wish to have your ceremony on property.

They’ll ease your mind by assuring you that something will indeed go wrong but it won’t disrupt the day. We say no way. You deserve an absolutely perfect wedding day—and we can make that happen. Hear from Colleen and Dennis, who have a million memories and no mishaps to look back on after having their wedding at Mallard Island Yacht Club in Long Beach Island, NJ.

Any favorite or special moments of the day that stand out to you the most? Both Dennis and I really wanted to take part in the cocktail hour. Gianna said couples usually escape for a few moments to the bridal suite to eat at the start of cocktail hour. We were so thankful that we took Gianna’s advice and spent some time, just the two of us, to really take in the day (and eat the amazing food!).

How would you describe your experience with the Merri-Makers staff/team? Amazing, amazing, amazing. There are so many details that go into planning a wedding and every one of Gianna’s recommendations made the day perfect. I had many questions during the planning phase and Gianna always responded quickly with the perfect suggestions. Lauren made the wedding day amazing (my family still talks about her). She made sure that we were taken care of at every moment. Everyone was so helpful and great to work with.

A Storybook Wedding at the Mallard Island Yacht Club in Manahawkin, New Jersey

When Rachel first started planning her wedding to Stephen, she knew an overload of flowers was key. The vintage notes came into play after touring the venue. “The way I described the design to my vendors was ‘a ’50s Hamptons wedding inside of Sleeping Beauty’s castle.’ I wanted the guests to feel like they had wandered into not just a fairy-tale wedding, but a literal fairy tale,” Rachel says. Dahlias, roses, lisianthus and ranunculus in plum and blush added to the day’s storybook feel. Gold accents elevated the décor, appearing on the yarmulkes, cake and lanterns. Rachel’s glam look included Kleinfeld’s largest tiara, “the only one that could hold its own against all the crystal in my gown,” she says. As a stylist, Rachel knew it was important that her girls felt beautiful and comfortable while standing by her side—“it would just be wrong to put four girls in the same dress, or even color, knowing they couldn’t possibly each suit it equally well.” “I hate when you can’t see the other guests during dinner,” Rachel says. To solve that, floating centerpieces topped each table and gave the party a hint of old-school glamour. A chocolate fudge and lemon raspberry cake topped with on-theme sugar flowers capped off the meal.
